Background: The first 28 days of life - the neonatal period - is the most vulnerable time for a child's survival. Children face the highest risk of dying in their first month of life at an average global rate of (17) deaths per (1,000) live births in 2019. Objectives: To find out the neonatal mortality rate at maternity wards in Baghdad City's Hospital for the year 2019, and to assess the causes of neonatal mortality rate. Methods The study included a non-probability (convenient) sample of (150) Neonate who have beendyingin ten hospitals in Baghdad City. The study subjects are recruited from 10 teaching hospitals. Data is collected from neonatal medical records in the Department of Statistics; data are analyzed using descriptive and inferential data analysis process. The Results: The results of the current study indicate that the neonatal mortality ratefor the year of 2019 is (0.636).The highest number of causes of neonatal mortality is accounted for asphyxia (57.7%) and congenital anomalies (29.6%).Most of the neonates are (1-5) day of age (83.8%); Males (64.1%); (3000-3.999) gm of weight (42.9%); urban residents (60.6%); are born at early term (37 to 38+6 days) (35.9 %) and in hospital (95.8%) through cesarean section (64.8%). There is no significant relationship between neonates' age and the causes of neonatal mortality. Conclusion: The neonatal mortality rate is (0.636) for the year of 2019 on the maternity wards in Baghdad City's hospitals per 1000 of the population at risk for the same year; The most accounted cause of neonate mortality is asphyxia and congenital anomalies. Background: Ectopic pregnancy is a condition of immense gynecological importance, particularly in the developing world, because of the high morbidity and mortality associated with it and the enormous threat to life. Objectives:To assess the incidence rate and the risk factors of ectopic pregnancy at Maternity Wards in Baghdad City’s Hospitals for the year 2019. Methods:The study included a non-probability (convenient) sample consisted of (90)pregnant woman who have ectopic pregnancies. The study subjects are recruited from 10 teachinghospitals in Baghdad,in theirfirst trimester of gestation age. The studydata is collected from pregnant women’ edical records in the Department of Statistics, data are analyzed using descriptive and inferential data analysis process. Results: the results of the current study indicate that the incidence rate of ectopic pregnancy is (2.217)per 1000 of population at risk for the year 2019. Smoking is accounted as the most predominant risk factor for ectopic pregnancy (55.6%),Most of these pregnant women are between the ages of (15-24) years old (40.0%), college graduates (26.7%), government employees (52.2%), and have a monthly income (901.0001.200.000) ID (32.2%). Conclusion:: Incidence rate of ectopic pregnancy at the maternity wards in Baghdad City’s hospitals is (2.217) per 1000 of population at risk for the year of 2019, The incidence rate of ectopic pregnancy has not been affected by the risk factors of infertility, previous ectopic pregnancies, IUCD, assisted reproductive techniques and smoking of ectopic pregnancy and the incidence rate of ectopic pregnancy has not been affected by pregnant demographic characteristics of age, education, occupation and monthly income. Objective(s): The aim of the study is to determine the effectiveness of the education program on physicallydisabled fighters’ quality of life, to determine the effectiveness of the education program on physicallydisabled fighters’ health status. Methods: A quasi-experimental, one group test retest design, is carried out in order to achieve the objectives of the study by using the evaluation approach and the implementation of the education program at the Rehabilitation Military Center in Al-Basra City from of January 7th, 2019 to October 31st 2019. Non Probability “purposive” sample of (27) physically disabled fighters’ is selected selected for the present study The sample is assigned according to the following criteria: a. Physically disabled who has not participated in any health educational program related quality of life. b. Physically disabled fighters are selected as having disability ratio from 60 to 80 percent. Test-retest reliability and content validity “panel of (18) experts” of the questionnaire are determined through pilot study. Data are collected through the application of the education program, the use of the questionnaire and the structured interview as means of data collection. Data were analyzed through the use of descriptive statistical data analysis approach of frequency, percentage, mean, mean of scores, total of scores, range and standard deviation and inferential statistical data analysis approach T-test, multiple linear regressions, person correlation coefficient, Chi-Square test, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results: The results of the study depict that the evaluation of physically-disabled fighters’ health status and quality of life is moderate due to the effect of physical disability; the physically disabled fighters’ quality of life domains have been improved due to the effect of the education program; the physically disabled fighters’ health status have been improved due to the effect of the education program; physically disabled fighters’ quality of life is significantly different relative to their age, residency, marital status, level of education, and chronic illness, and a non-significant difference relative to their type of injury and socioeconomic is determined. Conclusion: The study concluded that the health education Program has produced an effect on the physically-disabled fighters’ health status in the study group post its implementation. So, the study has confirmed that the program is an effective mean for the physically-disabled fighters’ health status in the Rehabilitation Military Center; the Health Education Program has produced an effect on the physicallydisabled fighters’ quality of life in the study group post its implementation. Further, the study has confirmed that the program is an effective mean for the enhancement of the physically-disabled fighters’ quality of life in the Rehabilitation Military Center.
