Ekonomik gelişme tüm ülkelerin nihai hedefleri arasında yer almaktadır. Ülkeler ekonomik koşulları doğrultusunda ilerleme kaydetmekte, geleceklerini daha sağlam temellere konumlandırmaktadırlar. Bu konumlandırmada tarımın yeri ve önemi ise büyüktür. Ancak dünya nüfusunun büyük çoğunluğunun kentlere yönelmesi, kentlerin artan cazibesi ve iş olanakları, tarımsal faaliyetlerin yerini sanayi ve hizmet sektörüne bırakmasına, kır ve kent arasındaki uçurumun giderek daha da büyümesine neden olmaktadır. Kırdan kente göç dalgaları kent nüfusuna ciddi anlamda baskı uygularken, artan kirlilikle beraber yapılaşma faaliyetleri neticesinde her geçen gün yok olan yeşil alanlar, kentleri adeta yaşanmaz mekanlar haline getirmektedir. Oysa kırsal alanlarda yapılacak turizm faaliyetleri istihdamı destekleyerek hem ülke ekonomisine katkı sağlayabilecek, hem de kırsal kalkınmaya faydalı olabilecektir. Teorik olarak yürütülen bu çalışmada; tarih, kültür, dağcılık, kış sporları gibi yüksek turizm potansiyeli olan kırsal alanlara sahip bir il Niğde’de, kırsal turizmin kırsal alanların kalkınmasındaki rolü ve önemi üzerinde durulacaktır. Yapılan çalışma çerçevesinde, Niğde ilinin kırsal turizm potansiyelinin olmasına rağmen, bu potansiyelin yeterince değerlendirilemediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study was to examine the perceptions of doctoral students about the content of doctoral programs, faculty and doctoral field. It was also aimed at determining the indicators that affect doctoral students' performance in getting published in academic journals. For this purpose, 1367 doctoral students from 15 different universities were administered a "Doctoral Education Evaluation Survey" face-to-face and online. Principal component analysis revealed 4 factors. The majority of doctoral students at the course stage are satisfied with the content of the doctoral program, the faculty members and the doctoral field. As the students' awareness increases over time, their complaints increase. The dissatisfaction of doctoral students reaches the highest level, at the proficiency stage. Furthermore, from the second year on, there is a decline in the satisfaction of doctoral students with the content of the doctoral programs, with the faculty members and the opportunities offered by the doctoral field, to a statistically significant extent. Especially those working in the social sciences complain that research methods are not taught enough. Binary logistic regression was applied to determine the indicators affecting the publication performance of the doctoral students in academic journals. The participation of doctoral students in international academic symposiums emerged as the most important indicator. The other predictive variables are doctoral students' participation in a project, working as a research assistant at the university, and completion of the course stage. Encouraging the participation of doctoral students in academic congresses with their advisors or their colleagues will contribute to increasing their publication performance.

The problem of migration, which is an issue that has never left the agenda of humanity in the historical process, has always been on the agenda in most countries of the world in the 2000s. Individuals leave the places they live collectively for many reasons, with the priority of economic concerns and fear of war. It can be said that migration has become an important problem in Afghanistan as in all countries of the world. Afghanistan is a country where weapons have never stopped because of the invasions, internal conflicts and foreign interventions that have not ceased for more than 40 years since the Soviet invasion in 1979. Afghanistan, besides being a battleground of superpowers, has become a country that is mentioned with terrorism along with social, economic and political instability. Afghanistan, through which the historical Silk Road passes, has become an uninhabitable country due to the increasing violence day by day. Afghanistan, which has been experiencing migration problems for years due to the uneasy and insecure environment in the country, started to send immigrants to all parts of the world, especially to neighboring countries in the 20th century. At first Pakistan and Iran have been preferable as immigration center while Turkey has come to the fore later. People are forced to leave their country due to the effects of economic, terrorism, security problems and internal conflicts. On the other hand, the prosperous living conditions, economic and security opportunities in developed countries make migration to these countries attractive. In this study, the migration problem in Afghanistan will be discussed with its causes and consequences., Проблема иммиграции всегда стояла на повестке дня в большинстве стран мира как раньне, так и в 2000-х годах. Люди покидают свои места жительства по разным причинам, в первую очередь из-за экономических проблем и страха войны. Можно сказать, что иммиграция стала серьёзной проблемой в Афганистане, как и во всех странах мира. В Афганистане, после советского вторжения в 1979 году уже более 40 лет продолжается стрельба, не прекращаются внутренние конфликты и иностранное вмешательство. Афганистан, помимо того, что является зоной конфликта сверхдержав, стал страной, которая ассоциируется с терроризмом наряду с социальной, экономической и политической нестабильностью. Растущее с каждым днем насилие превратило Афганистан, через которую проходит исторический шёлковый путь, непригодной для проживания страной. С Афганистана, который годами испытывал проблемы с миграцией из-за непростой и небезопасной обстановки в стране, и в 20 веке направляется поток иммигрантов во все части мира, особенно в соседние государства. Сначала, в качестве миграции предпочтение отдавалось Пакистану и Ирану, затем на первый план вышла Турция. Люди вынуждены покинуть свою страну из-за последствий экономических проблем, терроризма, проблем безопасности и внутренних конфликтов. С другой стороны, благополучные условия жизни, экономические возможности и безопасность в развитых странах делают миграцию в эти государства привлекательной. В нижеследующем исследовании будет обсуждаться проблема иммиграции в Афганистане, её причины и последствия., Tarihi süreç içinde insanlığın gündeminden hiç çıkmayan bir mesele olan göç sorunu, 2000’li yıllarda da dünyanın çoğu ülkesinde hep gündemde tutulmuştur. Ekonomik endişeler ve savaş korkusu öncelikli olmak kaydıyla, birçok nedenle bireyler yaşadıkları mekânlardan toplu halde ayrılmaktadırlar. Tüm dünya ülkelerinde olduğu gibi Afganistan’da da göçün önemli bir sorun haline geldiği söylenebilir. Afganistan, 1979’daki Sovyet işgalinden bu yana 40 yılı aşkın süredir ardı kesilmeyen işgaller, iç çatışmalar ve dış müdahalelerden dolayı silahların hiç susmadığı bir ülke konumundadır. Afganistan, süper güçlerin çatışma sahası olmasının yanında sosyal, ekonomik ve siyasi istikrarsızlıkla beraber terörle de anılan bir ülke haline gelmiştir. Her geçen gün artan şiddet olayları, tarihi İpek Yolu’nun geçtiği bir ülke olan Afganistan’ı adeta yaşanmaz bir ülke durumuna getirmiştir. Ülke içindeki huzursuz ve güvensiz ortam nedeniyle yıllardır göç sorunları yaşayan Afganistan, 20. yüzyılda komşu ülkeler başta olmak üzere dünyanın her yerine göç vermeye başlamıştır. İlk başta göç merkezi olarak Pakistan ve İran tercih edilmiş, daha sonra ise Türkiye ön plana çıkmıştır. İnsanlar yaşamış oldukları ekonomik, terör, güvenlik sorunları ve iç çatışmaların etkisiyle ülkesini terk etmek zorunda kalmaktadır. Diğer taraftan gelişmiş ülkelerdeki müreffeh hayat koşulları, ekonomik olanaklar ve güvenlik imkânları da bu ülkelere göçü cazip hale getirmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Afganistan’da göç sorunu, neden ve sonuçlarıyla ele alınacaktır.

Our aim was to compare the effects of exposing the recurrent laryngeal nerve throughout its entire course with exposing the nerve only at its entry to the larynx in patients undergoing total thyroidectomy due to benign thyroid diseases, and to evaluate the effects of these methods on the risk for hypoparathyroidism.The medical records of 437 patients who had undergone total thyroidectomy at the ear, nose, and throat clinic between 2001 and 2015 for benign thyroid diseases were evaluated retrospectively. Mean patient age was 46.7 years (range 18-79 years). Eighty-six patients were male and 351 were female. Patients were divided into 2 groups according to recurrent laryngeal nerve exposure during surgery. In the first group, the nerve was observed as it entered the larynx, and its course was not completely exposed. In the second group, the nerve was identified in the tracheoesophageal groove, and its course was fully exposed. Group 1 consisted of 256 patients (47 male and 209 female) and group 2 consisted of 181 patients (39 male and 142 female). There were no statistically significant differences between the groups in terms of age and gender, and the groups were homogeneously distributed.Transient hypoparathyroidism was observed in 15 (5.8%) patients and permanent hypoparathyroidism was observed in 3 (1.1%) patients in group 1, and transient hypoparathyroidism was observed in 23 (12.7%) patients and permanent hypoparathyroidism was observed in 7 (3.8%) patients in group 2. The rates of both transient and permanent hypoparathyroidism were higher in the patients in group 2, and the difference was statistically significant (P0.001). Transient recurrent nerve palsy was seen in 1 patient in each group. Permanent recurrent nerve palsy occurred in 1 patient in group 2, although the difference between groups was not statistically significant (P = 0.28).Transient and permanent hypoparathyroidism were less common in thyroidectomies that involved detection of the recurrent laryngeal nerve at the site of entry to the larynx and keeping its dissection minimal; this technique was also more reliable.

Dogadan uzak, kalabalik, gurultulu ve beton yiginlari arasindaki kent yasami, insanlarin fiziksel ve psikolojik olarak rahatlayabilme ihtiyaclarini karsilayamamaktadir. Ozellikle isten, okuldan ya da her hangi bir faaliyetten arta kalan bos zamanlarin sikintili, yogun, gri tonda bir atmosferde gecirilmesi, bu konudaki sorunlarin daha da artmasina neden olmaktadir. Kentsel yesil alanlar, pek cok yararlarinin yani sira, insanlarin dogayla kucaklasmalarini, stresli yasamdan uzaklasabilmelerini saglayarak, daha saglikli bir toplum icin gerekli olan sartlari sunmaktadir. Bu nedenle, surdurulebilir kentsel gelismenin temel bir unsuru olan insan sagligi icin de yesil alanlarin kent peyzajinda yogun olarak kullanilmasi zorunlu bir uygulama olmalidir. Teorik olarak yurutulen bu calisma kapsaminda, surdurulebilir kentsel gelisme acisindan yesil alanlarin onemi vurgulanacaktir.

Doğadan uzak, kalabalık, gürültülü ve beton yığınları arasındaki kent yaşamı, insanların fiziksel ve psikolojik olarak rahatlayabilme ihtiyaçlarını karşılayamamaktadır. Özellikle işten, okuldan ya da her hangi bir faaliyetten arta kalan boş zamanların sıkıntılı, yoğun, gri tonda bir atmosferde geçirilmesi, bu konudaki sorunların daha da artmasına neden olmaktadır. Kentsel yeşil alanlar, pek çok yararlarının yanı sıra, insanların doğayla kucaklaşmalarını, stresli yaşamdan uzaklaşabilmelerini sağlayarak, daha sağlıklı bir toplum için gerekli olan şartları sunmaktadır. Bu nedenle, sürdürülebilir kentsel gelişmenin temel bir unsuru olan insan sağlığı için de yeşil alanların kent peyzajında yoğun olarak kullanılması zorunlu bir uygulama olmalıdır. Teorik olarak yürütülen bu çalışma kapsamında, sürdürülebilir kentsel gelişme açısından yeşil alanların önemi vurgulanacaktır., Urban life away from nature, crowded, noisy, and lived between concrete piles cannot meet people's needs of physical and psychological relaxation. Spending free time away from work, school, or any activity in a stressful, crowded, gray-toned atmosphere causes problems to increase. In addition to its many benefits, urban green areas provide us with the conditions necessary for a healthier society by enabling people to embrace nature and escape their stressful lives. For human health, a key element of sustainable urban development, green areas should be used intensively and compulsively in the urban landscape. In this theoretical study, the importance of green areas for sustainable urban development will be emphasized.

Yeryüzünün geleceğini tehdit eden küresel çevre sorunlarının arkasında, insanların doğayı hiç bitmeyecek bir kaynak olarak görmesinin büyük etkileri bulunmaktadır. Tarih içinde insanların doğaya uyguladıkları baskının, özellikle Sanayi Devrimi ile birlikte daha da hız kazandığı ve yapılan bilinçsizce davranışlar neticesinde artık doğanın taşıma kapasitesinin tükenme noktasına geldiği söylenebilir. Sınırsız olduğu düşünülen doğal kaynakların acımasızca yok edilmesi, doğa ve insan arasındaki dengeyi bozarak pek çok olumsuz durumu da beraberinde getirmektedir. Çölleşen ormanlar, kirlenen doğa ve yok olan türler insanların daha fazla kazanç uğruna doğaya vermiş olduğu zararların birer sonuçları olarak sıralanabilir. Bu sonuçları sürekli artan dünya nüfusu da olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Günümüzde çok önemli bir başka çevre sorunu olarak küresel ısınma ile birlikte ortaya çıkan iklim değişikliği, tüm canlıların geleceğini ciddi anlamda tehdit etmekte ve insan kaynaklı etkenlere bağlı olarak daha fazla hız kazanmaktadır. Doğanın bir sömürü aracı olarak kullanılması belki ulusların zenginlik seviyelerini artırmış olabilir, ancak insan da diğer türler gibi bir canlı türü olduğunu ve yaşamak için temiz hava, su ve çevreye muhtaç olduğunu unutmamalıdır. İnsanın doğaya yaptığı her bilinçsize davranış, aslında katlanarak yine kendisine dönmektedir. O halde gelecek nesillere daha sağlıklı bir dünya bırakabilmek adına toplumda gerekmektedir. Bu noktada sivil toplum kuruluşlarına (STK) büyük görev ve sorumluluklar düşmektedir. Toplumun çevre ile bütünleşmesi ve daha güvenilir yarınlara ulaşılabilmesinde STK'ların öneminin vurgulanacağı bu çalışma kapsamında, Türkiye'de çevre bilincinin yaygınlaştırılması konusunda STK'ların yaptığı faaliyetler ele alınacaktır, Today, people’s view on the nature as a never-ending source is the real reoson of the global environmental problems threatening the future of the earth. The pressure of the people to the nature in history gained more momentum especially with the Industrial Revolution and now as a result of the unconscious behaviors carrying capacity of the nature has come to the point of exhaustion. Desertification, polluted nature, vanishing species can be ordered as a result of the damages by people to the nature for the sake of more earning. Brutally destruction of natural resources considered to be unlimited has destroyed the balance between man and nature and brought many negative situations. Constatntly increasing world population adversely affects these results. Today, another very important environmental problem that comes with global warming is climate change and it seriously threatens the future of all living things, develops faster due to the anthropogenic factors. Using of the nature as a tool of exploitation may have increased levels of wealth of nations, but such as the other species human is a living creature too and needs clean air, water, environment for living. In fact, every unconscious behavior to the nature will return to human again. So, the ways of raising environmental awareness in the community and leaving a more healthy planet for the future generations should be sought. At this point, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have played major role. In this study, the importance of NGOs for the community-environment integration and safer tomorrows will be emphasized and the environmental activities of NGOs in Turkey will be discussed

Bir toplumun geleceğine yön verilmesinde, eğitim ve öğretim faaliyetleri en önemli unsurların başında yer almaktadır. Bu faaliyetlerin yürütücüsü olarak öğretmenlere ise büyük sorumluluk ve görevler düşmektedir. İlköğretim döneminin çocukların kişisel ve sosyal gelişimlerindeki yeri göz önüne alındığında ise öğretmenlerin önemi bir kat daha artmaktadır. Olumlu birer rol model olarak ilköğretim öğretmenlerinin öğrencilerine etik davranışlarıyla örnek olmaları, öğrencilerini de etik davranışlara yönlendirebilecek, hayatları boyunca tüm ilişkilerinde etiği merkeze almalarını sağlayabilecektir. Öğretmenlere etik davranışlar konusunda ise meslek etiği rehberlik edebilecektir. O halde, öğretmen adaylarına eğitimlerinde ağırlıklı olarak meslek etiği verilmesinin, daha sağlıklı bir toplum yapısının oluşturulmasına da ışık tutacağı söylenebilecektir, Education and training activities are of great importance for the future direction of a society. Teachers have great responsibility and role in this respect. The importance of teachers is great especially for the personal and social development of primary school students. Primary school teachers guide them with their ethical behaviours so they can affect them deeply, because the teachers are always role models for children. Affected by the ethical behaviours of their teachers, students will acquire guidance of these ethical behaviours throughout their lives and base ethics in all their relations. Professional ethics will be able to guide the teachers in terms of ethical behaviours, so professional ethics training should be given to primary school teacher candidates. This study aims to reveal the importance of professional ethics for primary school teacher candidates, so it is important to emphasize a neglected subject in faculties of education

Çevre sorunlarının çözüme kavuşturulması için toplumun bilinçlendirilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu konuda bir toplumun geleceğine şekil veren öğretmenlere büyük sorumluluklar düşmektedir. Ancak öğretmenlerin böyle bir sorumluluğu alabilmeleri öncelikle kendilerinin çevre bilincine sahip olmalarını gerektirmektedir. İşte bu noktada daha birer öğretmen adayı iken almış oldukları eğitim onlara yol gösterebilecektir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının çevre bilinci düzeyleri ile ilişkili faktörleri ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma Niğde Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf, Sosyal ve Fen Bilgisi öğretmenliği programlarında öğrenim gören toplam 178 (107 kız, 71 erkek) öğretmen adayı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, Milfont ve Duckitt (2006) tarafından geliştirilen ve Ak (2008) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan "Çevre Bilinci Ölçeği" kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, öğretmen adaylarının çevre bilinci yüksek düzeyde olup, Fen Bilgisi öğretmenliği programında öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının çevre bilinci düzeyleri Sosyal Bilgiler ve Sınıf öğretmenliği programında öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarına göre daha yüksektir., In order to solve environmental problems, increasing public awareness is needed. In this respect, the teachers who shape the future of a society take a great responsibility. However, taking such a responsibility of teachers first requires them to have environmental awareness. At this point, their university education will be able to guide them. The purpose of this research is to identify the factors which are related to teacher candidates' level of environmental awareness. The research was carried out with 178 fourth grade teacher candidates of Niğde University-Faculty of Education, Departments of Primary School Teaching, Science Teaching and Social Studies Teaching. "Environmental Consciousness Scale" developed by Milfont and Duckitt (2006) and translated into Turkish by Ak (2008) was used to collect data for the research. The result of research showed that the level of environmental awareness of teacher candidates is at a high level but Science Teaching Department has a higher level of environmental awareness than the other departments.

Araştırmanın Temelleri: Giderek artan çevre sorunları yeryüzünün geleceğini ciddi boyutta tehdit etmektedir. İnsan kaynaklı etkenler özellikle Sanayi Devrimi sonrası artarak, çevresel değerlere büyük bir baskı uygulamaktadır. Yok olan türler, çölleşen ormanlar ve değişen iklim şartlarının hep insan kaynaklı etkenlerle ilişkisi bulunmaktadır. İnsanların menfaatleri uğruna yaptıkları yıkıcı faaliyetler aslında kendilerine geri dönmektedir. Çevre değerlerinin ve yaşam kalitesinin ön plana çıktığı Cittaslow (Sakin Şehir) hareketinde ise insan çevre ilişkisi yeniden gözden geçirilmekte, kaybolan değerler koruma altına alınmaktadır. Günümüzde her yerleşim yerinin aslında böyle bir harekete ihtiyacının olduğu söyle nebilir. Ancak öncelikle çevre konusunda toplumda bir farkındalık oluşturularak, insanların bilinç seviyelerinin yükseltilmesi gerekmektedir. Böyle bir bilinç ve farkındalık için ise eğitim büyük önem taşımaktadır. Cittaslow hareketinin başarıya ulaşması için topluma verilecek çok yönlü bir çevre eğitimi pek çok sorunun aşılmasına ışık tutabilecektir. Araştırmanın Amacı: Bu çalışma, daha yaşanabilir bir dünya için bir adım olan Cittaslow hareketinde çevre eğitiminin önemini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Veri Kaynakları: Bu çalışmada kullanılan bilgi ve veriler Cittaslow hareketi ve çevre eğitimi ile ilgili yayınlanmış olan yerli ve yabancı kaynaklardan, kitaplar, makaleler, resmi kurumların yayınları ve internet sitelerinden yararlanılarak elde edilmiştir. Ana Tartış ma ve Sonuçlar: Bir yerleşim yerinin daha yaşanabilir olmasının, orada yaşayan insanlarla büyük yönde ilişkisinin olduğu söylenebilir. Çevresel değerlere saygılı bir toplum, gelecek kuşaklar için daha yaşanabilir bir dünya bırakmak adına büyük önem taşımaktadır. Çevresine, tarihine, kültürüne ve tüm canlılara duyarlı olabilmek, yıkıcı değil ama koruyucu bir davranış özelliği sergileyebilmek Cittaslow (Sakin Şehir) hareketinin temel noktasını oluşturmaktadır. Daha yaşanabilir bir çevre için yapılabilecek faaliyetler açısından bir yaşam felsefesi niteliğinde olan Cittaslow hareketinin başarıya ulaşabilmesi, kuşkusuz çevre bilincine sahip insanlar tarafından desteklenmesine bağlı bulunmaktadır. İşte onlara bu konuda, çevre sorunlarının arkasında yatan gerçek nedenleri gösterebilecek bir çevre eğitimi yardımcı olabilecektir, Context: Increasing environmental problems severely threaten the future of the world. Man-made factors, particularly gaining speed after the Industrial Revolution, have been repressing environmental values. Endangered species, deforestation, changing climate all are linked to man-induced agents. Devastating activities which have been performed by people for their own benefits, in fact, harm them- selves. In Cittaslow movement, where environmental values and life quality come to the fore, the relationship between human being and environment is reconside- red and missing values are taken under protection. It can be mentioned that every residential area needs such a movement. However, it is necessary to create a differentaion for environment in community and make people’s conscious increase. For such an increase in conscious and differentation, environmental education is of great importance. Versatile environmental education given to community may help us overcome many of those problems. Aims: This study has aimed at revealing the importance of environmental education in Cittaslow movement, which is a step taken to create a more livable world. Data Sources: The information and data used in the study have been collected from various national and international papers, books, websites and governmen- tal agencies’ publishings. Results and Discussion: It can be suggested that creating a more livable resi- dential area is mainly related to people living there. A community respecting environmetal values is of significant importance to inherit a more livable world for future generations. That showing not destructive but protective behaviours and being sensitive to all livings, their history, culture and environment is the main focus of Cittaslow movement. The success of Cittaslow movement, which is a life philosophy in terms of activities for a more habitable environment doubtlessly depends on the support by people having environment conscious. For this purpose, an environmental education showing the real reasons behind environmental problems will be able to assist them.

Rhabdomyosarcomas are rare malignant tumors of the head and neck region. They originate from the mesenchymal cells and look like embryonal fetal muscle fibers. Rhabdomyosarcomas as morphologically in four main groups are classified embriyonal, botrioid, alveoler and pleomorphic. Head and neck area in three anatomical regions are defined in the placement of rhabdomyosarcomas. These region are orbital, parameningeal and nonparameningeal- nonorbital. Most common site is the orbital region. Other sites are the nasopharynx, middle ear, paranasal sinuses, nasal cavity, neck and larynx. Rhabdomyosarcoma generally has a poor prognosis. To improve the survey of the patients an interdisciplinary approach is necessary. Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common soft tissue tumor in children. Majority of cases are seen first decade. It is a rare pathology, we evaluated in the literature of two parameningeal cases, which we diagnosed and operated in our clinic.

Örgütler varlıklarını sürdürürken sadece kar elde etmeyi değil, çalışanlarına ve hizmet ettikleri topluma duyarlı olmayı da öncelikleri arasına koymalıdırlar. Başarılarını sadece kısa dönemli karlarını maksimize etmeye odaklayan örgütlerin, soysal sorumluluk bilinciyle hareket ettikleri söylenemez. Ancak, örgütlerin çalışanlarına ve topluma karşı sorumluluklarını yerine getirmemeleri, onların başarılarını da olumsuz yönde etkileyebilecektir. Çünkü, örgütlerin varlıklarını başarıyla sürdürebilmeleri, toplumun örgüt faaliyetleriyle ilgili algı ve düşüncelerine önemli ölçüde bağlı bulunmaktadır. This should be their primary aim. Organizations which are focused on just maximizing their short- term profits can’t be said to have social responsibility. If organizations don’t have any social responsibility, this will effect their success adversely. Sustaining of organizations’ existence successfully depends on how they are perceived by the society. Organizations, employees satisfied with working conditions and feel themselves in confidence will achieve and will be benificial to the society. Ethics will lead them at this point.

Objective To investigate whether the recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) identification technique used in thyroidectomy affects RLN paralysis and hypoparathyroidism. Design Patients were allocated into 2 groups according to the thyroidectomy technique used to identify the RLN: (1) superior-inferior direction, exploring the nerve where it enters the larynx, followed by superior pedicle ligation; and (2) inferior-superior direction, following the inferior pedicle ligation and identifying the nerve in the tracheoesophageal groove. The first and second groups included 67 and 128 patients, respectively. In the first group, 19 patients underwent lobo-isthmectomy, and 48 underwent total thyroidectomy. In the second group, 42 patients underwent lobo-isthmectomy, and 86 underwent total thyroidectomy. We performed 115 and 214 RLN dissections in the first and second groups, respectively. Patients The study included 195 consecutive patients, 161 female (82.5%), and 34 male (17.5%), who underwent thyroidectomy for goiter between January 2006 and August 2009. Their mean age was 44.7 years (range, 14-79 years). The mean follow-up was 26 months (range, 12-42 months). Interventions Unilateral or bilateral total thyroidectomies performed using extracapsular dissection with 2 different RLN identification techniques. Main Outcome Measures Incidence of hypocalcemia, vocal cord paralysis, hemorrhage, and wound infection. Results No RLN paralysis was observed in the first group. In the second group, unilateral RLN paralysis was seen in 2 of 128 patients (1.5%). Groups 1 and 2 included 48 and 86 total thyroidectomies, respectively. Temporary hypoparathyroidism was observed in 4 patients in the first group (8.3%). In the second group, permanent hypoparathyroidism was observed only in 4 patients (4.6%), and temporary hypoparathyroidism was observed in 14 patients (16.2%). Bu özelliği ile etik ilkeler, çalışanların memnuniyet düzeylerinin artmasına da katkıda bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı da, örgütsel etiğin çalışan memnuniyetine etkisini incelemektir. Örgütsel etiğin çalışan memnuniyetini ne yönde etkilediğini ortaya koymak amacıyla, Niğde özel sağlık kurumları çalışanlarını kapsayan ankete dayalı bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda örgütsel etiğin çalışan memnuniyetini olumlu yönde etkilediği ortaya çıkmıştır., Rapid technological changes, pressures created by globalization, competition and increasing resource shortage make the concept of ethics an important issue for organizations of all types. Ethical principles guides organizations about what is wrong and what is right, so it causes a positive atmosphere in the organization and it has a significant role in developing positive relations with all the shareholders. With this feature, ethical principles also contribute to employee satisfaction. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of organizational ethics on employee satisfaction. A survey based research on the employees of private health organizations in Niğde was done to determine the effect of organizational ethics on employee satisfaction. At the end of the research, it was found that organizational ethics effects employee satisfaction positively.

Bu araştırma, Niğde Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği, Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği ve Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği lisans programlarında öğrenim gören dördüncü sınıf öğretmen adaylarının çevreye karşı tutumlarını belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla, ilgili programlarda okuyan 231 öğrenciye Yeni Çevresel Paradigma Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Ölçekte yer alan maddeler, öğretmen adaylarının doğa ve insan merkezli yaklaşımlarını ölçmeye yöneliktir. Elde edilen bulgulara dayanılarak öğretmen adaylarının doğa merkezli tutum düzeylerinin insan merkezli tutum düzeylerinden yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Ancak öğretmen adaylarının insan merkezli ve doğa merkezli tutum düzeylerinin çevre dersini alıp almama durumlarına göre değişmemesi Eğitim Fakültelerinde çevre eğitimi dersinin niteliğinin sorgulanmasını gerektirmektedir. Sonuç olarak, öğretmen adaylarına uygulamalı ve teorik olarak etkin bir şekilde yapılacak çevre eğitimi ile olumlu bir çevresel tutumun kazandırılmasının gerekliliği düşünülmektedir., This research aims to identify the environmental attitudes of fourth grade students of Niğde University Primary School Teaching, Science Teaching and Social Studies Teaching departments. For this purpose, the New Environmental Paradigm Scale was applied to 231 students of related departments. The parts of the scale are intended to assess the nature and human based attitudes of the candidate teachers. According to the finds it was confirmed that the nature based attitude levels of the candidate teachers are higher than their human based attitude levels. But the fact that the human based and nature based attitudes of the candidate teachers don’t differ according to whether they took an environmental education course or not make it necessary to question the quality of the environmental education course provided by the Faculty of Education. As a consequence, inducing candidate teachers into a positive environmental attitude is regarded as necessary through applied and theoretically effective environmental education.

Teachers, preparinggenerations for future and so shaping the future of a society, receive their professionalqualification and requirements for becoming ateacher from faculties of education, soteacher candidates should be educated verywell. Teacher candidates from all disciplines,educated with environmental consciousness, willbe able to transfer this consciousness totheir students when they graduate.
