This study aims to investigate the principal's challenges and potential solutions for improving students' academic performance through instructional leadership. The qualitative approach is implemented by applying fragmentary observations, documents, and individual and group interviews The informants of this research were principals and teachers from two schools and one of the Indonesian community learning center. The data analysis technique used is thematic content analysis using ATLAS.ti software. The findings indicated that the principals' responsibilities in developing instructional leadership were categorized into five primary themes: concept, planning, program and execution, supervision, evaluation, and learning implication design. Challenges identified include schools' limited budget and the lack of teachers, students, and parents' problems. Some solutions discovered encompass optimizing the schools' budget, staff, and teachers, stakeholder collaboration and bipartite cooperation, student-teach-student, role modeling, counseling guidance, inspiring talks, and smart parenting. The principals recommended designing the school instructional leadership concept, formulating the planning, coordinating the program and its implementation, organizing the supervision and evaluation, constructing the learning implications, and identifying the challenges to secure solutions.

This study aims to determine physical activity (PA level) and sedentary behavior (SB level) in students with various parents' income levels. This study used a cross-sectional design. The subjects used in this study were 900 students from 10 schools and ten cities in East Java, Indonesia. Data on students' parents' income were grouped into five categories based on their income level (very low: n = 360; low: n = 231; medium: n = 123; high: n = 79; very high: n = 107). The research instruments used were the Children’s Physical Activity Questionnaire (CPAQ) to measure the level of physical activity (PA level) and the Adolescent Sedentary Activity Questionnaire (ASAQ) to measure the level of sedentary behavior (SB level). Este estudio tuvo como objetivo examinar el proceso de implementación del programa de desarrollo de logros deportivos en petanca de Java Oriental, centrándose en sus factores contextuales, requisitos de entrada, aspectos de procedimiento y resultados resultantes. La investigación antes mencionada se enmarca dentro del ámbito de la investigación de evaluación del modelo CIPP, empleando una metodología cuantitativa. Se empleó una estrategia de muestreo intencional para seleccionar a los sujetos para este estudio, que consta de 5 entrenadores y 35 atletas masculinos y femeninos de 5 FOPI de Pengkab y Pengkot en Java Oriental. La investigación incluyó un cuestionario que incluía el CIPP, cuyo objetivo era recopilar información sobre los antecedentes del entrenador, el programa de entrenamiento para el deporte de petanca, el desempeño del entrenador y el método de entrenamiento utilizado por los atletas en el género deportivo de petanca. Los datos cuantitativos se recogieron mediante el uso de una escala Likert. El análisis de datos incluyó técnicas analíticas descriptivas, concretamente la utilización de porcentajes. Los hallazgos del estudio indican que el análisis de evaluación del CIPP reveló que el 73,75% de las dimensiones del apoyo contextual para la implementación del programa cayeron en la categoría de "apoyo". Además, el 69% del componente de insumos de recursos humanos fue clasificado como "adecuado". El insumo del programa se clasifica como “hecho” con un ratio del 63,57%. El insumo para la selección de deportistas y la infraestructura se clasifica como “siempre hecho” con un ratio del 82,11%. Las dimensiones de formación de procesos también se clasifican como “siempre hechas” con un ratio del 78,57%. Por último, las dimensiones del producto formativo se califican como “muy esperado”, con un ratio del 75,63%. En resumen, el gobierno ha brindado un apoyo sustancial a la dimensión del contexto. La dimensión de entrada comprende recursos de instructores y atletas de calidad suficiente, así como instalaciones e infraestructura de entrenamiento que sean muy adecuadas. Los numerosos componentes del proceso general de formación se ejecutan de forma consistente y competente. This study aimed to examine the implementation process of the East Java petanque sports achievement development programme, focusing on its contextual factors, input requirements, procedural aspects, and resulting outcomes. The aforementioned research falls within the purview of CIPP model evaluation research, employing a quantitative methodology. A purposive sampling strategy was employed to select the subjects for this study, consisting of 5 coaches and 35 male and female athletes from 5 FOPI district and city in East Java. The research included a questionnaire that included the CIPP, which aimed to gather information regarding the coach's background, the coaching programme for petanque sport, the coach's performance, and the training method utilised by athletes in the petanque sport genre. Quantitative data was gathered by using a Likert scale. The data analysis included descriptive analytic techniques, namely utilising percentages. The study's findings indicate that the CIPP evaluation analysis revealed that 73.75% of the dimensions of context support for programme implementation fell into the "support" category. Additionally, 69% of the human resources input component was classified as "adequate." The program's input is classified as "done" with a ratio of 63.57%. The input for athlete selection and infrastructure is classified as "always done" with a ratio of 82.11%. The process training dimensions are also classified as "always done" with a ratio of 78.57%. Lastly, the dimensions of the training product are classified as "very as expected," with a ratio of 75.63%. In summary, the government has provided substantial support for the context dimension. The input dimension comprises instructors and athletes' resources of sufficient quality, as well as training facilities and infrastructure that are highly adequate. The many components of the overall training process are consistently executed proficiently. The product components demonstrate conformity to expectations, although they necessitate enhancement. The aim of this research is to analyse the physical components that can support the proper archery performance of young Indonesian athletes. This research employed a quantitative descriptive design involving 18 athletes from the East Java and West Java Archery Training Centre as the research subjects. Each athlete carried out a physical test consisting of 9 physical test items (1' incline sit up, Bosy Right, Bosy Left, MFT, Hover, Superman Back Hold, Pinch Grip, standing balance test, standing archery hold), which the trainer has prepared according to the needs of archery. After that, archery performance assessment was done using the recurve division's individual qualification system, i.e., arrow athletes performed 72 arrow shots. The data were then analysed using descriptive tests, silhouette method tests, and K-means clustering analysis to classify physical components and simplify the data collection process. Exercise-based physical therapy has become a crucial element of sports medicine, particularly in addressing conditions such as hamstring asymmetry in athletes. To find out the impact of 10 weeks of stiff-leg deadlift and Swiss ball hamstring curl training on the asymmetries of hamstrings, agility, and leg power in badminton athletes with asymetry conditions. The study design employed was a quasi-experimental pre-post design. The prepared programme gave the sample a combination of stiff-leg deadlift and Swiss ball hamstring curl training for 10 weeks. Data was collected twice during the pretest and posttest by measuring hamstring asymmetry using the Norboard, agility using the Illinois agility run test, and leg power using the Force Plate. Paired sample t tests and Wilcoxon tests were used to compare the initial test results obtained before and after hamstring muscle strengthening training for 10 weeks, which resulted in a p value of less than 0.05. The Wilcoxon test results for the hamstring asymmetry variable show a p-value of 0.000, and the agility variable shows a p-value of 0.001. Meanwhile, the leg power variable using a paired sample t test resulted in a p-value of 0.035. Engaging in a 10-week training program that combines stiff-leg deadlifts and Swiss ball hamstring curls can enhance the strength of the hamstring muscles and improve agility and leg power in athletes with a hamstring asymmetry ≥ 10%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memverifikasi penguasaan literasi fisik, aktivitas, dan kebugaran fisik siswa sekolah dasar dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di wilayah Malang Raya. Penguasaan literasi fisik merujuk pada pemahaman siswa tentang konsep dan pengetahuan terkait dengan kebugaran fisik. Aktivitas fisik mencakup partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan fisik yang melibatkan gerakan dan latihan, sedangkan Persepsi kebugaran fisik merujuk pada cara seseorang memahami dan mengevaluasi tingkat kebugaran fisik mereka sendiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian komparatif dengan sampel siswa Sekolah Dasar dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Malang Raya sebanyak 1.468 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes literasi fisik yang mengukur pemahaman konsep dan pengetahuan siswa tentang kebugaran fisik. Selain itu, koesioner persepsi kebugaran fisik dilakukan untuk mengukur persepsi kebugaran fisik siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan literasi fisik siswa Sekolah Dasar dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Malang Raya telah memenuhi kriteria yang di tentukan. Keaktifan berolahraga siswa Sekolah Dasar dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Malang Raya tidak memenuhi kelayakan yang di tentukan. Tingkat kebugaran fisik siswa Sekolah Dasar dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Malang Raya tidak memenuhi kriteria yang di tentukan.

This study was conducted to investigate the perspectives of sports science students on factors affecting distance learning in the setting of Indonesian higher education institutions (HEIs). This study proposed an extended technology acceptance model (TAM) with eight variables; experience, enjoyment, self-efficacy, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, intention to use, and actual use. An online survey was used to collect data from 1291 respondents. The structural model was examined through the partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The multi-group analysis (MGA) was conducted to understand the role of geographical areas in moderating all hypothetical relationships. The findings show that the respondents were not excited about online learning due to weak means (below 3) for most items of five variables; enjoyment, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, and intention to use. All relationships were supported except the relationship between experience and perceived usefulness. The strongest significant relationship emerged between intention to use and actual use. Meanwhile, the least significant relationship was found between self-efficacy and perceived usefulness. Three out of 12 hypotheses were confirmed regarding the differences of geographical areas (rural and urban) regarding all relationship paths. The findings add to a deeper understanding of the acceptability of distance learning during pandemics like COVID-19.

2013 Curriculum. The study was a survey and need assessment study. The data were obtained through observation, questionnaire, in-depth interview, and focusing group discussion (FDG). The data, later, were analysed in the qualitative and quantitative analysis. The result of the study showed that Malang’s primary school teachers’ needs are: 1) standard materials to socialize 2013 Curriculum, 2) guidelines in the form of document, 3) in-depth training, 4) detailed explanation of 2013 Curriculum, 5) socialization or training for all primary school teachers, 6) re-explanation for teacher better understanding, and 7) special training on evaluation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan peta kebutuhan guru SD Kota Malang dalam pengimplementasian Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan survey dan need assesment. Teknik pengumpulan data observasi, angket, wawancara mendalam, dan focusing group discussion (FDG). Analisis data secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan guru SD kota Malang adalah (1) bahan sosialisasi kurikulum 2013 yang baku, (2) panduan dalam bentuk dokumen, (3) pelatihan yang mendalam, (4) penjelasan yang lebih rinci tentang kurikulum 2013, (5) pembinaan atau sosialisasi kepada semua guru, (6) penjelasan ulang agar guru bisa memahami dengan lebih baik, dan (7) pelatihan khusus tentang cara mengevaluasi.
