Permission (''Idhn'') is a frequently used concept in the jurisprudential and legal systems of Iran. Identifying and explaining the legal nature of permission is the first step toward analyzing this legal concept, as well as the different areas in which it plays a role. The widespread applications of permission have made it challenging to choose a single nature for it. Scholars who have aimed to identify the legal nature of permission have often focused on its permissive aspect, assigning it a single nature. They then extend this chosen nature to the permission found in ''permissive contracts.'' Accordingly, scholars have argued about whether permissive creation stems from will or legal provision; some consider permission a unilateral legal act (Iqa’), while others see it as a legal event. Viewing permission as a unilateral act or legal event seems accurate only in cases where the granting of permission results in permissiveness. However, in cases where permission becomes a source of representation—or, in other words, when permission leads to the creation of agency, as in contracts of agency—the nature of permission cannot be regarded as a unilateral act. Defining permission as a unilateral act in such cases leads to inconsistencies and fails to align the selected nature with instances where permission forms the basis for agency. Thus, to determine the legal nature of permission, it is necessary to distinguish between the nature of permissive permission and that of permission as a basis for agency (i.e., in permissive contracts) and to examine them separately. According to the authors, the legal nature of permission as a source of permissiveness is unilateral, while permission as a source of agency holds the nature of a contract.

Introduction: Vital pulp therapy includes is differnt methods that are used to preserve pulp vitality and root development in immature permanent teeth with thin dentin wall and open apical foramen which have been damaged or inflamed due to dental caries, trauma, or during the restoration. This study was conducted to assess the knowledge of Yazd general dentists toward Vital pulp therapy in immature permanent teeth in 2022. Methods: In this descriptive-cross-sectional study, a valid and reliable questionnaire, including demographic information and 15 questions related to the knowledge of vital pulp therapy was distributed among 150 general dentists in Yazd City, Iran. Data were analyzed using SPSS-22 software, T-test and ANOVA. Results: The participants in this study, included 55.3% men and 44.7% women with an average age of 34.25 (±7.32) years old and an average years of job experience of 8.32 (±7.04). Among them, 35.3% had participated in dentistry retraining courses. The average knowledge score of the participants in this study was 9.2 out of 15. The average score in different groups did not show any significant difference in terms of age, sex, job experience, work place and participation in retraining courses. (P-value >0.05) Conclusion: Yazd general dentists had intermediate level of knowledge about the vital pulp therapy of immature permanent teeth. It seems that the need for retraining courses to improve the level of knowledge about vital pulp therapy to help choosing the best treatment plan for young permanent teeth is evident.

Background & Objectives: The use of reporting guidelines aims to enhance the completeness and transparency of biomedical publications. The CARE guideline was developed in 2013 to assist researchers in improving the reporting of their case reports. In this study, drawing on evidence from studies that have evaluated the reporting quality of case reports based on the CARE guideline, we aim to conduct a scoping review focusing on the state-of-the-art adherence to the CARE guidelines in case reports and identifying factors associated with adherence to this guideline. Materials & Methods: The protocol for this scoping review follows the Arksey and O’Malley framework. We searched for meta-research studies indexed in four databases (Web of Science, PubMed, Embase, and Scopus) from 2013 to 2023, for studies primarily aimed at evaluating the reporting quality of case reports based on the CARE guidelines. Study selection was performed in duplicate. This study report followed the PRISMA-ScR. Results: Our database searches retrieved 35 studies, of which 14 were included for full-text analysis. The publication rate has increased sharply in recent years; seven articles (50%) were published in 2020 and 2021. Further analysis is in progress and scheduled for completion by July 2024. Conclusions: By conducting this scoping review, we attempted to gain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the quality of case reports based on the CARE guideline, identify gaps, and provide recommendations for the more efficient and meaningful use of the CARE reporting guideline in the future.

Abstract Introduction Low back pain (LBP) is a prevalent musculoskeletal disorder with a wide range of etiologies, ranging from self-limiting conditions to life-threatening diseases. Various modalities are available for the diagnosis and management of patients with LBP. However, many of these health services, known as low-value care (LVC), are unnecessary and impose undue financial costs on patients and health systems. The present study aimed to explore the perceptions of service providers regarding the facilitators and barriers to reducing LVC in the management of LBP in Iran. Methods This qualitative descriptive study interviewed a total of 20 participants, including neurosurgeons, physiatrists, orthopedists, and physiotherapists, who were selected through purposive and snowball sampling strategies. The collected data were analyzed using the thematic content analysis approach. Results Thirty-nine sub-themes, with 183 citations, were identified as barriers, and 31 sub-themes, with 120 citations, were defined as facilitators. Facilitators and barriers to reducing LVC for LBP, according to the interviewees, were categorized into five themes, including: (1) individual provider characteristics; (2) individual patient characteristics; (3) social context; (4) organizational context; and (5) economic and political context. The ten most commonly cited barriers included unrealistic tariffs, provider-induced demand, patient distrust, insufficient time allocation, a lack of insurance coverage, a lack of a comprehensive referral system, a lack of teamwork, cultural challenges, a lack of awareness, and defensive medicine. Barriers such as adherence to clinical guidelines, improving the referral system, improving the cultural status of patients, and facilitators such as strengthening teamwork, developing an appropriate provider-patient relationship, improving the cultural status of the public, motivating the patients, considering an individualized approach, establishing a desirable payment mechanism, and raising the medical tariffs were most repeatedly stated by participants. Conclusion This study has pointed out a great number of barriers and facilitators that shape the provision of LVC in the management of LBP in Iran. Therefore, it is essential for relevant stakeholders to consider these findings in order to de-implement LVC interventions in the process of LBP management.

Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) were extracted from waste corrugated cardboard (WCC), waste paper towel (WPT), and waste paper towel cardboard roll (WPTR) using modified chemical methods. Instead of being discarded in landfills, these household waste materials were recognized as cost-effective and readily available sources for producing CNCs, which can serve as efficient water adsorbents in agricultural applications. Despite the inherent impurities and contaminants in household waste, the pretreatment and acid hydrolysis processes were found to be effective in removing a significant portion of these undesirable substances, as confirmed by FTIR spectra analysis. The extracted CNCs displayed a needle/whisker-shaped morphology with diameters ranging from 4 to 15 nm. Crystallinity levels of the CNCs extracted from WCC, WPT, and WPTR were determined to be 81.11 %, 85.29 %, and 80.68 %, respectively. The CNCs were then tested for their role as promoters of seed germination in plant starter plugs under different relative humidity conditions. Results indicated that under high relative humidity (above 70 %), seeds exhibited rapid germination (within 3–4 days) when the plugs were coated with CNCs at a minimum concentration of 5 %. However, under moderate relative humidity (50 %), germination occurred within 5–6 days at CNC concentrations of 10–15 %.

Abstract Hybrid xerogels, constructed from organic and inorganic silanes, have emerged as materials with versatile applications. They have shown promising potential for immobilization as their chemical structures encompass the mechanical, thermal, and structural stability of inorganic compounds in synergy with the functionality and flexibility of organic compounds. Incorporating a magnetic core and preparation at the nanoscale multiply their attraction for enzyme immobilization. To evaluate how efficiently this technology works for the immobilization of a plant peroxidase, a novel peroxidase (POXov) from a famous medicinal herb, Origanum vulgare, was immobilized on magnetic nanoparticles of a hybrid xerogel obtained from tetraethyl orthosilicate and (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane. Immobilization boosted the physicochemical properties of the enzyme so that the immobilized POXov (I.POXov) could tolerate lower pHs and higher temperatures. It oxidized all types of the examined phenolic, catecholic, guaiacolic, and aniline diazo dyes, while the free POXov (F.POXov) failed to oxidize the last group. These improvements also made I.POXov capable of oxidizing the recalcitrant azo dyes carrying electron-withdrawing groups much faster than F.POXov. I.POXov was employed in 7 successive cycles of oxidation of both phenolic and guaiacolic dyes with an average efficiency of 69%. The efficacy of the immobilization method and I.POXov competency for the enzymatic remediation of polluted water resources have been quantitatively demonstrated.

Household energy consumption (HEC) is one of the major contributors to global emissions, making it a critical area for addressing sustainability challenges. The impact of personality traits on human behaviour is significant in shaping HEC patterns, and therefore, have important implications for sustainability policies. This study aims to investigate role of biologically predicted big-two personality traits (i.e., stability and plasticity), a higher order solution to five-factor traits and orthogonal traits, on HEC. To that end, a structural equation model is developed using a national household survey in Australia. The performance of the model is benchmarked against a five-factor (i.e., agreeableness, consciousness, emotional stability, extraversion and openness) personality trait model. The performance of the models is measured using six goodness-of-fit indices, all of which show a superior performance in the big-two traits model. The results indicate that a higher score in stability poses energy-intensive behaviour, while a higher plasticity score poses energy-saving behaviours. The plasticity trait is linked to environmentally friendly behaviours, while the stability trait is associated with environmentally unfavourable behavioural practices. The effects of socioeconomic status on HEC are mediated by stability and plasticity to identify those who are more likely to change their energy consumption habits as the target group for policy intervention. This study can assist policy makers to determine energy-intensive and energy-saving behaviours from the big-two traits, and to develop more effective and targeted sustainability policies that can help in reducing HEC and promote sustainable living in societies.

Introduction: In recent years, the manufacture of air purification media, especially nanofiber filters using polymeric materials and the electrospinning method, has received much attention in air pollution control. The production of high-performance media and low-pressure drops is an important issue in air filtration. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of fabricating electrospinning polyethylene terephthalate (PET) media to abduct submicron and micron particles from the air stream. Material and Methods: To determine the optimal device conditions in the manufacture of PET media, different weight percentages of a PET polymer solution in a mixture of trifluoroacetic acid and dichloromethane solvents (70:30) were first prepared in a pilot study, and various parameters of the electrospinning device were examined and analyzed along with performing the electrospinning process. The surface and morphological characteristics of the media were evaluated using SEM. The pressure drop and efficiency of particle trapping were assessed using a mask and media pressure by a pressure drop test device. Results: The optimal electrospinning conditions of the PET polymer solution were obtained at a concentration of 20%. The average diameter of nanofibers PET was 163 ± 600 nm with a pressure drop of 26.33 ± 5.5 pa, and average efficiencies of 97.42 ± 1.67% and 99.85 ± 0.21 were obtained for submicron and micron particles, respectively, with a quality factor (QF) value of 0.1740. Conclusion: The produced media can abduct and remove particles from the air stream for submicron and micron particles in ranges of 96-99% and 99-100%, respectively, with an average pressure drop of 26.33±5.5 pa.

Introduction Climate is variable in time and space, so detecting a significant trend is a major challenge for researchers. Calculating the trends of climatic elements such as average temperature, maximum, and minimum temperature has been the subject of many studies in recent years. It has been carried out in different regions around the world. Most studies in this field have focused on large-scale temperature trends. However, more research is needed to focus on the change that occurs at the regional level. In this way, the research conducted on the decadal trends of the average temperature in different regions provides impressive results. In order to study how global warming affects life at the regional level, climate change models and assessments often assume that the impact will be uniform. However, temperature does not increase uniformly in space or time. Materials and Methods In this research, the analyzed monthly data of ERA-Interim with a resolution of 0.25*0.25 degrees during the time period of 1979-2019 from the ECMWF website (European Center for Weather Forecasting) has been used. According to the area of the Abraqo-Sirjan catchment area and the resolution of the studied data, 338 points of the entire basin were covered and studied. Also, the data of the link indices from the North Atlas and South Atlas regions, which were extracted from the NOA site at the same time as the mentioned period, were used. Pearson's correlation and linear regression tests were used to investigate the relationship between the average temperature of the watershed and the remoteness indices. Results and Discussion Examining the average temperature trend of the Abrago-Sirjan basin area showed that except for the months of April, May, August, and December, the other months only have an increasing trend. In April, the northern areas and parts of the west and east of the basin have an increasing trend. Other parts of the basin have no trend. In this month, 37.05% of the area of the basin is covered by the increasing trend zone and 62.94% by the non-trending zone. In May, the northern half of the basin has an increasing trend and covers 48.95% of the area of the basin. The southern half with an area of 29252.85 square kilometers is without trend and covers 51.04% of the area of the basin. In August, only a very small part of the north of the basin showed an increasing trend. This area with an area of 5728.55 square kilometers includes 9.99% of the area of the basin. Other parts of the basin, which includes about 90% of the area of the basin, do not have any trend. In the month of December, the area has been expanding and has covered more parts of the area of the basin. In this month, an increasing trend has been observed in the northern half of the basin, parts of the center, and south of the basin. The area of increasing trend in this month with an area of 43,886.6 km2 has covered 76.57 km2 of the area of the basin. The no-trend area with an area of 13422.44 km2 includes 23.42% of the area of the basin. Correlation between the average temperature of the basin and teleconnection patterns also showed that only the NAO pattern in February showed an inverse correlation at a 95% significance level with the temperature of the basin and other patterns had a direct correlation with the temperature of the basin. In January, TSA and AMO patterns, in February, NAO, TNA, AMO, AMM and NTA patterns; in March TNA, TSA, AMM and NTA patterns; In April, TNA, TSA, AMO patterns; In May, TSA and AMO patterns; In June, the AMO pattern; In July, NTA and TNA patterns; In August, AMO and NTA patterns; In September, AMM and NAO patterns; In November, AMM, AMO and TNA patterns and in December, AMM and TNA patterns have shown correlation with average temperature. In the months of February, March, May, July and September, in addition to the correlation at the significance level of 95%, correlations were also observed at the 99% level, and a major part of the basin has correlations with distant teleconnection patterns. Conclusion The results of investigating the average temperature trend of the Abarqo-Sirjan basin showed that the temperature in this basin has only an increasing trend, and during the period of 1979-2019, there was no decreasing trend in the average temperature of this basin. In the months of January, February, March, June, July, September, October, and November, and on an annual scale, all basins have an increasing trend. In the months of April, May, August, and December, apart from the increasing trend zone, the no-trend zone is also observed at the basin level. Among the studied patterns, the AMO pattern has shown more correlation with the average temperature of the basin than other patterns. After that, TNA, AMM, NTA, and TSA patterns have the highest correlation. In the cold months of the year, the lowest correlation between the distance and average temperature of the basin was observed, and in the warm months of the year, a larger area of the basin showed a correlation.

Abstract Background Global wheat productivity is seriously challenged by a range of rust pathogens, especially leaf rust derived from Puccinia triticina. Since the most efficient approach to control leaf rust is genetic resistance, many efforts have been made to uncover resistance genes; however, it demands an ongoing exploration for effective resistance sources because of the advent of novel virulent races. Thus, the current study was focused on detecting leaf rust resistance-related genomic loci against the P. triticina prevalent races by GWAS in a set of Iranian cultivars and landraces. Results Evaluation of 320 Iranian bread wheat cultivars and landraces against four prevalent rust pathotypes of P. triticina (LR-99–2, LR-98–12, LR-98–22, and LR-97–12) indicated the diversity in wheat accessions responses to P. triticina. From GWAS results, 80 leaf rust resistance QTLs were located in the surrounding known QTLs/genes on almost chromosomes, except for 1D, 3D, 4D, and 7D. Of these, six MTAs (rs20781/rs20782 associated with resistance to LR-97–12; rs49543/rs52026 for LR-98–22; rs44885/rs44886 for LR-98–22/LR-98–1/LR-99–2) were found on genomic regions where no resistance genes previously reported, suggesting new loci conferring resistance to leaf rust. The GBLUP genomic prediction model appeared better than RR-BLUP and BRR, reflecting that GBLUP is a potent model for genomic selection in wheat accessions. Conclusions Overall, the newly identified MTAs as well as the highly resistant accessions in the recent work provide an opportunity towards improving leaf rust resistance.

Climate change caused by global warming has altered temporal-spatial distribution as well as rate and form of precipitation, the magnitude of floods, annual precipitation ​​in rivers, seasonal variation of probable maximum precipitation and flood, water quality, evaporation rate, concentrations of nutrients in aquifers, etc. the Atmosphere-Ocean Coupled General Circulation Model (AOGCM) is currently the most reliable tool to study the effects of climate change on different systems. This model simulates climate parameters. Estimation of probable maximum precipitation (PMP) is an important and practical research method that not only identifies behavior of extreme rainfall in climatology, but also helps hydrologists to design various large water control structures, especially dams. Climate change affects PMP in the coming periods. Consequently, PMP estimates will be modified by hydrologists.

One of the key goals of Informetrics is to identify citation-based popular articles among so many other aspects, such as determining popular research topics, identifying influential scholars, and predicting hot trends in science. These can be achieved by applying network science approaches to scientific networks and formulating the problem as a popular (most-cited) node ranking task. To rank the papers based on their future citation gain. In this work a deep learning based framework is proposed. Which helps in automatic node level feature extraction and can make node level prediction in dynamic graphs such as citation networks. To achieve this we have learned global ranking preserve d dimensional node embedding. We have only considered temporal features, which makes it suitable for generalisation to other networks. Although our model can consider node level explicit features also. Further we have given novel cost function which can be easily solve ranking problem for dynamic graphs using probabilistic regression method. Which can be easily optimised. Another novelty of our work is that our model can be trained using different snapshots of the graph and different time. Further trained model can be used to make future prediction. The proposed model has been tested on an arXiv paper citation network using six standard information retrieval-based metrics. The results show that our proposed model outperforms, on average, other state-of-the-art static models as well as dynamic node ranking models. The outcome of this research study leads to informed data-driven decision-making in science, such as the allocation and distribution of research funds and investment in strategic research centers. When considering past time window size as 10 months and making prediction after 10 months our proposed model’s performance on various ranking based evaluation metrics are as follows: AUC-0.974, Kendal’s rank correlation tau-0.455, Precision- 0.643, Novelty-0.0456, Temporal novelty-0.375 and on NDCG-0.949. Our model is able to make long term trend prediction with just training on short time window.

One of the big challenges of our modern life is to find the right items or contents on the Internet and particularly in social media. One way of addressing the information overload problem in social media is to predict the future trends and popularity of online items. The popularity of an item can be measured by its attractiveness, i.e., the number of times it is being used. This popularity prediction can be translated to a link prediction and ranking problem, which aims to predict the link gain of the items in a user-item interaction network. User-item interactions in an online environment can be modelled as a bipartite network, where a link represents an event, reflecting a user buys or collects an item. Popularity prediction problem in temporal bipartite networks is of great interest to researchers. In this study, we propose a heuristic based model which only consider nodes collective link gain in a recent past time window of time as well as total link gain. To evaluate our model’s efficiency, we tested them on co-evolving social media items. We also evaluated the models’ performance on five information retrieval metrics (i.e., Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristic, Kendall’s rank correlation tau, Precision, Novelty, and temporal novelty). The proposed model does not need hyper-parameter learning, which makes it the best choice for highly temporal and data streaming scenarios.

Abstract Background Owing to the growth of case reports and changes in the policy of journals in publishing this evidence, the need to standardize them is felt more than before. Therefore, in this study, the authors’ guide of medical journals indexed in the Scopus database that published most of the case reports has been analyzed to identify the reporting requirements and emerging case report types. Methods A total of 50 journals were selected from the Scopus citation database (the world’s largest knowledge base) that published most of the case reports. These and the authors’ guideline section on the types and requirements of writing case reports were analyzed by inductive content analysis. Results Most of the case reports were published in the fields of dermatology and surgery and general medicine. Reporting requirements in author’s guide are grouped in four categories: (1) reasons for publication or content value, (2) emphasis on the patient consent form and confidentiality, (3) emphasizing the constraints on the word count and limitation, and (4) recommendation for structure and reporting elements. In terms of adherence to the reporting guidelines, 76% of journals do not adhere to any reporting guideline. In addition, 13 types of case reports were identified in these journals, among which traditional case reports, clinical image, letters, and case series were the most widely used formats. Conclusions Improving the publication processes of case reports has been left unattended by international organizations. The policies of journals need to become more integrated, and reporting guidelines should be modified or redeveloped to enhance the quality of publications, cover different reporting requirements, and consequently, benefit from the evidence value available in case reports.

Abstract To monitor employees' work safety and exposure against air contaminants, Trans, trans-muconic acid, Hippuric acid, Methyl hippuric acid, Mandelic acid and Phenylglyoxylic acid can be used as reliable biomarkers of exposure to benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX) compounds. This study aims to determine the level of urinary metabolites of BTEX compounds using biological monitoring in the employees of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in the south of Iran. The study was performed on 56 employees of the WWTP of one of the southern cities of Iran in 2020. Urine samples (n total = 112) consisting of 60 samples of employees working in the operation section (exposed group) and 52 samples of employees working in the administrative section (control group) in the WWTP were collected before and at the end of their shift. The mean concentration of urinary metabolites of BTEX of both groups ranged from 546.43 (μg/g cr) for trans, trans-muconic acid to 0.006 (μg/g cr) for methyl hippuric acid, which indicates that most of the evaluated metabolites showed a higher concentration than their occupational threshold limit value urine (p

[1]Introduction: Breakfast cereal products are considered as an important meal for athletes and children. By changing eating habits and increasing the consumption of these products, choosing healthy and nutritious raw materials such as whole grains to produce breakfast cereals with great impact on people's health. Rice grain as a technologically important source of starch causes the expansion of extruded products. Since in the production of breakfast cereal and baby food products, exclusively starch with low amylose is used, this indicates the suitability of this source for productionof such products. During the dehusking process, about 14% of the rice is broken to smaller grains, which is commercially classified as a low-value product. The broken rice can be converted to rice flour and used as a raw material in various types of food products. To maintain consumer demand for healthy diets, it is necessary to use high-fiber flours because these types of products will be able to modify the process of decomposition of starch. Although the integration of fiber in products has technological challenges, but by using rice grain as an important source of starch, the technological properties, expansion index, volumetric density and texture (texture hardness and brittleness) can be accepted. At present, modified starch derivatives are widely used in the food industry due to the increase in the quality of the final product. In the production of ready-to-use products for flaking, puffing, a process called extrusion is used. In this process, the product suddenly loses its moisture and leads to the creation of a dense structure containing pores. In this study, the effect of extrusion cooking process parameters on the desired characteristics of flax and rice meal breakfast cereal product with desirable physicochemical and sensory properties was investigated. Materials and Methods: Extrusion: In this study, a parallel twin-screw extruder (Jinan Saxin, China) was applied, die diameter of 3 mm, and extrusion temperature of 140 ℃. Central composite statistical design was used to study the effect of feed moisture (12, 15 and 18%), screw speed (140, 170 and 200 rpm) and Flaxseed oil cake addition (10, 20 and 30%) on technological and functional properties expanded extrudates. The chemical composition of flax meal and rice flour was measured by standard AACC (2000) methods. The expansion ratio was calculated by dividing the mean diameter (mm) by the diameter of the extruder die (4 mm) (Brennan et al, 2008). Textural measurement: The hardness of the extruded breakfast cereals was measured using Texture Analyzer (TA plus Ametek, UK). The cylinder steel probe (2 mm diameter) was set to move at a speed of 1 mm/s The samples were punctured by the probe to a distance of 10 mm. Bowl life hardness: Breakfast cereal samples were immersed in whole milk (3% fat) at 5 ° C for 3 minutes, Then rinsing was performed for 10 seconds and finally the samples were tested similar to the tissue hardness test procedure before immersion by a tissue analyzer (Oliveira et al, 2017). The color parameters L* (lightness), a*(redness), b*(yellowness) values of the samples were determined by the Hunterlab machine (Reston VA, US) (Rhee et al, 2004). Water absorption index in terms of grams of bonded water was calculated. The WSI of the dry solids regained through the evaporation of the supernatant obtained from the water absorption test was calculated (Alam et al, 2019). Sensory evaluation was performed using a 9-point hedonic test. Response surface methodology was applied for experimental data using a commercial statistical package, Design Expert (version 7.0) for the generation of response surface plot and statistical analysis of the experimental data. Results and Discussion: One of the most important parameters in the evaluation of breakfast cereal products is the amount of bowl-life hardness, which in this study, the highest amount was obtained at the level of 30% of flaxseed meal, 18% moisture and the lowest amount of screw rotation speed. After immersing breakfast cereal in milk, by increasing the percentage of flax meal due to the harder flow path, moisture absorption decreases and thus prevents the expansion of the product and increases the density of the mass and the hardness of the tissue. Due to the formation of a layer of lipids and micelles on the surface of the product prevents moisture transfer and absorption, so tissue hardness decreases and bowl-life hardness time increases. In fact, the amount of moisture absorption is a good model that shows the potential of bowl hardness-life of the samples. It is also compact and dense, which increases the retention time of breakfast cereal texture. Moisture can also reduce the shear force as a plasticizer and increase the amount of moisture absorption of the product. While increasing the speed of screw rotation, the effect of shear force on starch dextrinization increases and reduces moisture absorption. Another important feature of breakfast cereals is the lightness index, the highest value of which was obtained at the speed of screw rotation, humidity and low flax meal level. In the study of sensory properties of products produced at meal levels less than 20%, moisture content less than 15% and screw speed of 200 rpm showed the highest overall acceptance.

Implementation of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) in the separation science is attractive for many researchers, nowadays. In this study, three MOFs were synthesized and employed as extractive coating fibers. The MIL-101-NH2-based coatings were implemented in immersed solid phase microextraction (ISPME) of organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs) from real-life samples. The three different kinds of fiber coatings included MIL-101-NH2 and its acyl and ethyl modified structures as particles and 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane (APTES) sol-gel precursor as binder. Each single MOF was coated on a stainless steel substrate via sol-gel technique. The uniform and tunable pore structure, high surface area, and capability to functionalization of MIL-101-NH2, make it susceptible for isolation of a wide range of analytes from small to large molecules. Extraction performance of the synthesized fiber coatings with different functionalities was examined on some model OPPs, followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC–MS). The highest extraction efficiency was achieved by the acyl-modified (MIL-101-NHCOCH3) fiber coating. The effects of various parameters affecting the extraction and desorption efficiency such as desorption time, desorption temperature, ionic strength, stirring rate, extraction time and temperature for the selected fiber were investigated and optimized. All the synthesized fiber coatings showed sufficient affinity while the acyl modified extractive phase was found to be very sensitive for determination of OPPs with reliable figures of merit such as acceptable linear dynamic ranges (1–1000 & 5–1000 ng.kg−1, here two linear dynamic ranges (LDR) are reported due to the variation of LDR ranges from one analyte to another), low limits of detection (0.2–1 ng.kg−1), suitable intra–day (RSD%

The occurrence of catastrophic floods in March-April 2019 in Lorestan province was a clear example of heavy rains that caused very heavy damage to agricultural, urban, transportation, and communications infrastructure. The purpose of this study is to investigate the March-April 2019 rainfall in the Droud-Borujerd catchment area in terms of statistical, synoptic, and dynamic characteristics. In this regard, from the data related to the daily station rainfall in March-April 2019 of Boroujerd and Doroud synoptic stations, NOAA climate Synoptic factor data for the 25th March and 2nd April 2019, and upper atmospheric data from the University of Wyoming database for the mentioned days of April 2019. The results of statistical analysis showed that the occurrence of rainfall in April 2019 was one of the heavy rains that in the first wave (25th March) 2019 was 15% of the total annual rainfall and in the second wave (2nd April 2019) 20% of the total annual rainfall was recorded. Analysis of synoptic patterns of these heavy rainfall events showed that a similar synoptic pattern produced these two waves of heavy rainfall in the region. On both days, the presence of a strong trough a height of 5500 and 5550 geopotential meters, on the east of the Mediterranean Sea that the western region of Iran located in the front of this trough, lead to heavy rainfall. In these two days, the omega index had reached a significant critical value (-0.2). Moisture injection in the study area was done by the interaction of two cyclonic systems (east of the Mediterranean Sea) and anti-cyclone (on the Gulf of Aden) and the source of moisture supply was the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, and the Persian Gulf, respectively. High atmospheric instability indices did not confirm the existence of very severe instability in the region. Moderate instability in the lower levels of the atmosphere, which could not be extended to the upper level (Skew-T diagram), indicated that a global synoptic system was involved in the whole region and no local convection factor played a role.

Abstract Background Face mask is the first line to protect the respiratory mucosa from the coronavirus particles in aerocells and droplets and without this, the exposure of the mucosa to the virus and allergens trigger the immune and inflammatory system. These lead to Allergic Rhinitis (AR) symptoms or virus infection. Aim This study discusses about the effects of face mask on the severity of AR symptoms using the Sino‐Nasal Outcome Test (SNOT‐22) in AR cases during the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID‐19) pandemic. Method In this cross‐sectional study, 54 cases previously diagnosed as moderate and severe AR based on Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma and Visual Analog Scale score referred to the tertiary allergy clinic were involved, while 5 of them were excluded. AR symptoms before and during the pandemic were compared based on the SNOT‐22 questionnaire. Demographics, AR severity, and comorbidities were registered. Results The mean age was 31.4 ± 13.5 years with the male−female ratio of 1.4. The mean SNOT‐22 score was 36.1 ± 20.3 before and 29.5 ± 16.8 during the pandemic. Although 36.7% (n: 18) of all participants had severe symptoms before the pandemic, 10.2% (n: 5) had severe AR symptoms during the pandemic. 53.0% (n: 26) of patients had moderate AR symptoms, and 36.7% (n: 18) had mild AR symptoms in the pandemic. There was no significant difference between each paired subgroup in AR symptom changes but the symptom improvement was significant in most of the subgroups when compared to the pre‐pandemic period. Smoking had an adverse effect on AR symptoms (p: 0.034). Conclusion Face mask affects the quality of life in AR patients and improves the severity of AR symptoms during COVID‐19 pandemic. Smoking worsens this severity. Age, gender, pet ownership, underlying conditions, and previous COVID‐19 infection were not associated with AR symptoms severity and alteration in the AR individuals' quality of life during the COVID‐19 pandemic.

Temporal and spatial changes of green water (GW) security due to climate and land-use/land-cover (LULC) changes can be used to make the best decisions for sustainable GW management. In this study, simultaneous effects of climate and LULC changes on water resources in Kashafrood Basin were evaluated using the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT). A land change modeler was set up to monitor LULC, assess changes and make predictions. The MIROC-ESM model derived from Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 under two representative concentration pathway (RCP) emission scenarios RCP2.6 and RCP8.5 was applied to evaluate the effects of climate change. Two indices of GW-Scarcity and GW-Vulnerability, representing GW-Security, were quantified using the GW-Footprint concept in Kashafrood Basin. The results show that the annual average of blue water was predicted to increase by 142–350%, and GW storage and the annual averages of GW flow were predicted to decrease by 12–65 and 8–20%, respectively, depending on emission scenarios and time. The GW-Security estimates in the entire basin suggest a better condition in the future by indicating 24–45 and 16–52% decreases in GW-Scarcity and GW-Vulnerability, respectively, depending on emission scenarios and time. HIGHLIGHTS Land change modeler predicts a decline in agricultural area and a growth in urban and pasture areas.; Blue water rises by 142–350% under the effect of climate and land-use changes.; Green water (GW) storage and GW flow decrease by 12–65 and 8–20%, respectively.; The condition of the basin in terms of GW-Security would improve in the future.; GW-Scarcity and GW-Vulnerability escalate in southern and some western subbasins.;

Introduction:Evaluating a hospital's patient safety culture (PSC) increases awareness of the various aspects of patient safety. Due to the critical role of PSC, the current study was designed and conducted to assess the level of PSC from the perspective of medical staff.Materials and Methods: A descriptive-analytical study was conducted in one of Tehran's hospitals in 2017. A total of 122 participants were selected as the research population from hospital clinical staff using stratified random sampling. The data collection method was a standard HSOPS questionnaire. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically using SPSS19 software, including the T-test, analysis of variance, and Friedman test.Results: The most studied populations were women (80.33%), and nursing staff (54.92%), the average serving years in hospital was (45/1±42/9).The mean score for PSC was 3.41, significantly higher than the national average. Among the various aspects of PSC, the highest and lowest scores were for "managers' expectations and actions regarding patient safety" and "openness of communication channels," respectively.Conclusion:According to the findings, the PSC among hospital staff is generally positive and high, which may be a result of the hospital's efforts to establish accreditation standards in the hospital. It is recommended that the hospital management team place a premium on open communication channels, teamwork, organizational learning, information exchange and transmission, communication and error feedback for all medical staff. Additionally, for effective learning, it is recommended to clearly define the process of encouraging and punishing to motivate, continuously assess patient safety status, provide timely feedback on results.

Abstract Background Diabetic nephropathy (DN) has an increasing global prevalence with excessive health expenditure and burden. Exosomal mRNAs regulate intercellular communications and participate in the pathogenesis of various disorders like DN. This study aimed to assess the expression levels of ACE, ELMO1, and WT1 mRNAs in the blood extracellular vesicles (EVs) of DN patients and diabetic patients without nephropathy (DM group) in comparison to healthy controls and investigate their correlations with the severity of DN. Methods The performed investigation is a cross-sectional study of 256 participants including 103 DN patients, 100 DM patients, and 53 healthy controls. The quantification of WT1, ACE, and ELMO1 mRNAs in the blood EVs were executed using qRT-PCR. The ROC analysis was performed to determine the diagnostic accuracy of mRNAs. Results DN patients had significantly higher expressed WT1 mRNA (1.70-fold change) and lower expressed ACE mRNA (0.55-fold change) in the blood EVs compared to DM patients and controls. The objective of the present study was to investigate the superiority of rostral maxillary nerve blocks using the combination of lidocaine and bupivacaine or pre-operative administration of meloxicam in controlling the pain following the surgery in dogs undergoing dental pulpotomy in the rostral maxilla. Twelve dogs with healthy teeth were included in this study. Under general anesthesia, each dog was randomly assigned to receive either rostral maxillary nerve block with the combination of lidocaine and bupivacaine (0.4 ml per site) (Group A) or intravenous meloxicam (0.2 mg/kg) (Group B) prior to pulpotomy. Pulpotomy was performed in the right or left upper corner incisor teeth of each dog using a single technique. The score of pain was recorded using UMPS at 3, 5, and 24 hours after surgery and assessment of serum level of cortisol and indicators of oxidative stress including Total Antioxidant Capacity (TAC) and value of malondialdehyde (MDA) in hemolysis of red blood cells prior to surgery and at 30 min, 3 and 24 hours post-operatively. The highest score of pain was recorded at 5 hours after a pulpotomy, which was significantly higher in group B in comparison to group A (p = 0.026). Mean ± SD level of cortisol was significantly higher in group B at 30 min, 1 and 3 hours after pulpotomy in dogs of group B compared to group A (p < 0.05). TAC values were significantly lower in group A compared to group B. (p < 0.05). However, Mean ± SEM values of MDA were significantly higher in group A at different time intervals in comparison to group B. (p < 0.05). It is concluded that rostral maxillary nerve block by using the combination of lidocaine and bupivacaine in painful dental procedures seems more effective than administration of meloxicam to control pain resulted from pulpotomy in dogs in early hours.

Abstract Background Technological and research advances have produced large volumes of biomedical data. When represented as a network (graph), these data become useful for modeling entities and interactions in biological and similar complex systems. In the field of network biology and network medicine, there is a particular interest in predicting results from drug–drug, drug–disease, and protein–protein interactions to advance the speed of drug discovery. Existing data and modern computational methods allow to identify potentially beneficial and harmful interactions, and therefore, narrow drug trials ahead of actual clinical trials. Such automated data-driven investigation relies on machine learning techniques. However, traditional machine learning approaches require extensive preprocessing of the data that makes them impractical for large datasets. This study presents wide range of machine learning methods for predicting outcomes from biomedical interactions and evaluates the performance of the traditional methods with more recent network-based approaches. Results We applied a wide range of 32 different network-based machine learning models to five commonly available biomedical datasets, and evaluated their performance based on three important evaluations metrics namely AUROC, AUPR, and F1-score. We achieved this by converting link prediction problem as binary classification problem. In order to achieve this we have considered the existing links as positive example and randomly sampled negative examples from non-existant set. After experimental evaluation we found that Prone, ACT and $$LRW_5$$ L R W 5 are the top 3 best performers on all five datasets. Conclusions This work presents a comparative evaluation of network-based machine learning algorithms for predicting network links, with applications in the prediction of drug-target and drug–drug interactions, and applied well known network-based machine learning methods. Our work is helpful in guiding researchers in the appropriate selection of machine learning methods for pharmaceutical tasks.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical and epidemiological features of deceased patients and comparing the discrepancies between male and female patients based on high prevalence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), its irreversible effects and the rising mortality rate in Jahrom city. Methods: This is a descriptive-analytical retrospective study that was conducted from the beginning of March 2020 to the end of November 2020. The study population were included all patients with COVID-19 who admitted to Peymaniyeh Hospital in Jahrom and died of COVID-19. Clinical and demographic data were collected from medical records and analyzed by SPSS software. Results: In this study, 61 patients (57.54%) were men and 45 patients (42.36%) were women. The mean age was 68.7±18.33 in men and 68.82±14.24 in women. The mean hospitalization length was 9.69±7.75 days in men and 9.69±7.75 days in women patients. There was no statistically significant difference between men and women patients (p>0.05). The results showed that 17 (27.87%) men and 28 (45.9%) of women patients had hypertension and the prevalence of this disease was significantly higher in women than men (p=0.01). In this study, 7 (11.48%) men and 13 (21.31%) women had hyperlipidemia. The frequency of hyperlipidemia in women caseswas significantly higher than in men patients (p=0.024). In order to study some physiological and biochemical changes and BnaCDPK14 transcript expression in rapeseed (Brassica napus L.), two tolerant cultivars (Slm046 and Zarfam) and two susceptible cultivars (Okapi and Sarigol) were planted in a growth chamber and were irrigated by water including 100 and 200 mM NaCl and normal water. Relative water content, electrolyte leakage, antioxidant enzyme guaiacol peroxidase (GPOX), antioxidant enzyme catalase (CAT) and the expression of calcium-dependent protein kinase 14 (BnaCDPK14) were measured. The results indicated the relative water content and electrolyte leakage (200 mM NaCl) decreased and increased under stress respectively. The antioxidant enzyme guaiacol peroxidase (GPOX), catalase (CAT) and BnaCDPK14 increased by salinity stress, tolerant cultivars showing more increase. Negative correlation was observed between the relative water content of leaves and electrolyte leakage. There was a high positive correlation between the guaiacol peroxidase and catalase contents and the expression of BnaCDPK14, indicating that by increasing the reactive oxygen species under stress, the plant enzymic antioxidant system helps the plant to cope with it. Kimura (KD) is a rare and chronic inflammatory disease that causes subcutaneous swelling and lymphadenopathy for unknown reasons and usually shows masses such as painless subcutaneous tumors in the head and neck. The disease is diagnosed based on the presence of a characteristic subcutaneous mass, elevated peripheral blood eosinophilia, IgA E levels, and biopsy, which indicates abnormal proliferation of lymph follicles and vascular endothelium with eosinophilic infiltration. Case Report: The patient is a 35-year-old woman who suffered from first degree localized burns in a large area of ​​the body with warm water 2 months before the diagnosis and then the symptoms of Kimura disease appeared in order and after performing several tests and sampling of the disease Proved. Conclusion: It seems that in our patient, a large superficial burn acted as a skin shock and caused the symptoms of Kimura disease, so that the patient showed all the symptoms of this disease within 2 months, including skin symptoms (Dryness, burning, thickening, severe itching and excessive wrinkles), skin rashes on the back of the neck and then swelling in the nose and back of the eyes, and finally an almond-sized mass on the right side of the back Is the neck. The patient has heartburn, loss of appetite and weight loss. His illness has also responded to steroid treatment.

Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. Anxiety can weaken the body's immune system and make them vulnerable to the diseases such as coronavirus disease. This study was performed with aim to evaluate the level of anxiety caused by the new coronavirus (Covid-19) in patients with breast cancer during the coronavirus pandemic. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was performed in 2020 on 102 breast cancer patients in Jahrom. Data collection tools were Demographic Information Questionnaire and Coronavirus Disease Anxiety Scale (CDAS). Scoring range in this study was 0-54. Data were analyzed by SPSS software (version 21) and statistical tests of t-test and ANOVA or its non-parametric equivalent. p < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The mean score of anxiety caused by Covid-19 virus 19 in patients with breast cancer was 22.44±16.61, which is lower than average level. Among the components of anxiety, the mean score of psychological symptoms (36.81±24.38) in patients with breast cancer was higher than physical symptoms (12.76±11.73). No significant relationship was observed between other demographic variables and anxiety caused by Coronavirus 19 (P>0.05). Conclusion: The results of the present study showed that the level of anxiety in women with breast cancer in Jahrom is lower than average level.

The study of various affecting factors in order to promote seedling growth at nursery and afforestation areas is very important. Although silicon is not recognized as an essential element in plants, it has very beneficial effects on plant species. For this purpose, an experiment was conducted following a completely randomized design with 5 treatments to evaluate different concentrations of silica on some growth parameters and nutrient uptake in Iranian oak seedlings. For each treatment, 10 pots were considered and treatments were performed including control and irrigation treatments with concentrations of 50, 150, 350 and 500 mg L-1 silica (based on field capacity). The result showed that silica had no statistically significant effect on basic diameter but root volume and stem diameter in seedlings treated with 500 mg L-1 were greatre around more than 50% in comparison with control seedlings. On the other hand, seedlings treated with 500 mg L-1 silica had the highest dry biomass compared to control and other treatments so that the leaf, stem and root biomass of the treatment were higher around 68-80% than control seedlings. The highest absorption of nitrogen, potassium and calcium were observed in 150 mg L-1 treatment. However, at low concentrations, silica decreased the uptake of manganese, copper and zinc and decreased the amount of iron uptake in the presence of silicon. Finally, it can be concluded that the use of silica in this study increased the total biomass of oak seedlings and also increased the absorption of macro elements so, the finding can be considered in forest nursery to seedling production. Nevertheless, further studies are needed to understand its mechanism, including gene and protein expression analysis.

Even in desirable conditions, soybean seeds lose their viability in long term storage. Many factors contribute to seed deterioration, including genetic factors, mechanical damage, relative humidity, storage temperature, seed moisture content, existence of microflora, and seed maturity, which reduce seed quality and make seeds unfit for cultivation purposes. Materials and Methods: In order to investigate the effects of seed deterioration on seed germination and also the effects of salicylic acid and ethylene on the improvement of deteriorated seeds of G. max., accelerated aging test for 0, 6 and 10 days and natural aging test for 6 months were conducted. After aging conditions, seeds were imbibed with 50 µM salicylic acid and 10 µM ACC (precursor of ethylene) for 6 hours at 25 °C. In addition, after natural and accelerated aging tests, a bunch of seeds was used without any hormonal treatment (i.e., dry seeds) as control seeds. The seeds’ germination percentage, total sugar, fructose, and glucose were investigated. Moreover, the gene expression of GAI1 and LOX1 was measured on dry seeds and under imbibition of water, salicylic acid and ACC at 6, 12 hours using Q-RT-PCR method. Results: The germination results showed that increasing number of aging days led to a decrease in germination. Total sugar content in seeds aged for 6 days did not have a significant difference, as compared with non-aged seeds. However, total sugar content in seeds aged for 10 days was significantly higher than non-aged seeds. Increasing accelerated aging levels from 0 days to 10 days led to increases in glucose and fructose contents in dry seeds. In addition, genes exhibited different expressions in different days and hours. Increasing aging from 0 days to 10 days led to increases in GAI1 gene expression. Moreover, LOX2 expression increased in accelerated aging from 0 to 6 days. LOX2 gene expression in naturally dried aged seeds also increased and was higher than that in non-aged seeds. SA and ACC had different effects on measured values. Conclusion: In general, it can be concluded that the deterioration of seed quality and vigor result from numerous degradation processes and disruption in seeds’ physiological activity. This study showed that aging is associated with an increase in total sugar, glucose and fructose levels. In addition, the expression of the genes involved in the germination is also affected. Increases in LOX2 gene expression were observed in both accelerated aging and natural aging pathways. GAI1 gene expression increased in accelerated aging. However, in normal aging, it decreased. Highlights: Identifying the role of LOX2 and GAL1 genes in soybean seed deterioration. Investigating seeds’ physiological responses under natural and laboratory aging conditions.

Over the last decade (2010-2020), the annual number of publications have invariably increased every year with the largest relative increase in a single year happening in 2019 (more than 6% relative growth). But this momentum was interrupted in 2020. Trends show that Environmental Sciences and Engineering Environmental have been the fastest growing research fields. The disruption in patterns of scholarly publication due to the Covid-19 pandemic was unevenly distributed across fields, with Computer Science, Engineering and Social Science enduring the most notable declines. The overall trends of male and female productivity indicate that, in terms of absolute number of publications, the gender gap does not seem to be closing in any country. The trends in absolute gap between male and female authors is either parallel (e.g., Canada, Australia, England, USA) or widening (e.g., majority of countries, particularly Middle Eastern countries). In terms of the ratio of female to male productivity, however, the gap is narrowing almost invariably, though at markedly different rates across countries. While some countries are nearing a ratio of .7 and are well on track for a 0.9 female to male productivity ratio, our estimates show that certain countries (particularly across the Middle East) will not reach such targets within the next 100 years. Without interventional policies, a significant gap will continue to exist in such countries. The decrease or increase in research productivity during the first year of the pandemic, in contrast to trends established before 2020, was generally parallel for male and female authors. There has been no substantial gender difference in the disruption due to the pandemic. However, opposite trends were found in a few cases. It was observed that, in some countries (e.g., The Netherlands, The United States and Germany), male productivity has been more negatively affected by the pandemic. Overall, female research productivity seems to have been more resilient to the disruptive effect of Covid-19 pandemic, although the momentum of female researchers has been negatively affected in a comparable manner to that of males.

Background: Following personalized medicine and the development of e-publishing, a large number of case report–dedicated journals have emerged. But the lack of integrated guidelines is a major obstacle to the quality of this evidence. The purpose of this study is to analyze the reporting requirements of case report–dedicated journals to update and strengthen the CARE guidelines. Material and Methods: Quantitative and qualitative research approach has been done using the content analysis method. All case report–dedicated journals were selected from Scopus (54 out of a total of 68 journals). By referring to these journals' websites, all the contents of the authors' guideline section and two sample articles were examined as a unit of analysis. Quantitative data includes frequency and percentile; qualitative data was conducted through open coding, creating categories, and abstraction. Results: 51% of journals are related to Elsevier and Hindawi publications. 14.8% of journals have been launched in the form of companions. 52% of journals endorse the CARE guidelines. Among the CARE elements, title, consent form (100%), discussion, abstract (94.4%), and introduction (90.7%) had the most frequent elements, and timeline and patients' perspective had the least repetition in the authors' guideline. Also, 19 new reporting elements and 27 types of case reports were identified. Conclusions: Improving the reporting and content quality of case reports is very important to benefit from knowledge synthesis services. Medical journals publishing case reports should follow a more integrated process. An updated version of reporting guidelines needs to be available for publishers and editors of journals.

Understanding the evolutionary patterns of real-world complex systems such as human interactions, biological interactions, transport networks, and computer networks is important for our daily lives. Predicting future links among the nodes in these dynamic networks has many practical implications. This research aims to enhance our understanding of the evolution of networks by formulating and solving the link-prediction problem for temporal networks using graph representation learning as an advanced machine learning approach. Learning useful representations of nodes in these networks provides greater predictive power with less computational complexity and facilitates the use of machine learning methods. Considering that existing models fail to consider the temporal dimensions of the networks, this research proposes a novel temporal network-embedding algorithm for graph representation learning. This algorithm generates low-dimensional features from large, high-dimensional networks to predict temporal patterns in dynamic networks. The proposed algorithm includes a new dynamic node-embedding algorithm that exploits the evolving nature of the networks by considering a simple three-layer graph neural network at each time step and extracting node orientation by using Given’s angle method. Our proposed temporal network-embedding algorithm, TempNodeEmb, is validated by comparing it to seven state-of-the-art benchmark network-embedding models. These models are applied to eight dynamic protein–protein interaction networks and three other real-world networks, including dynamic email networks, online college text message networks, and human real contact datasets. To improve our model, we have considered time encoding and proposed another extension to our model, TempNodeEmb++. The results show that our proposed models outperform the state-of-the-art models in most cases based on two evaluation metrics.

Introduction: Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, tasteless, colorless, and nonirritating poisonous gas, recognized as the silent killer for the 21st century. It is produced during partial combustion of carbon-containing compounds. Improper ventilation and flue installation of vented gas space heaters cause carbon monoxide gas to penetrate the building, leading to many deaths annually. The catalytic oxidation of CO has received great attention due to its applications in different fields. In this study, alumina foam coated by CuMnOx catalyst was used to remove CO from the vented gas space heaters. Method: This is a full-scale experimental study on the outflow from vented gas space heaters. Alumina foam supported hopcalite (CuMnOx) catalyst was synthesized using a co-precipitation method for CO oxidation from THE vented gas space heaters. The XRD and SEM were used to characterize the synthesized catalyst. The concentration of CO was measured by IMR 1500 combustion gas analyzer. Result: The particle size of the catalyst was in the range of 200-600 nm. XRD showed different crystallizations, and the crystal size was in the range of 20 -120 nm. There was no significant CO removal in the case of using uncoated alumina foam. Results showed CuMnOx catalyst significantly increased the CO removal. The removal efficiencies were 83% and 89% in heating powers of 2300 and 3200 kcal/hr, respectively. The average CO conversation rate was approximately 60.45 µg/gr.min. Conclusion: CuMnOx coated on alumina has a significant effect on CO removal from the vented gas space heaters. The catalyst and outlet gas temperature were the most important factors affecting CO removal.

Aims & Backgrounds: Drought is a natural feature of an area and in every region that occurs, it leads to economic, social and environmental losses. In this research, the Teleconnection patterns in drought occurrence in Qara-Qom basin has been investigated. Methodology: In this regard, precipitation data of 30 rain gauge and synoptic stations as well as data on 32 numerical indexes of teleconnection from NOAA site during the 1987-2013 period were obtained. Initially, the standardized precipitation index data in the 9 to 48-month scale were classified by Factor Analysis and stations with similar behavior were identified in the study area. Then, the relationship between the average drought index of each area with each of the Teleconnection patterns was evaluated simultaneously and with a delay of 6 and 9 months through the correlation statistical method. Findings: The effects of Teleconnection patterns on drought vary in different zones. The Multivariate ENSO Index, Pacific Decadal Oscillation, Southern Oscillation Index, Nino 3/4, 3 has the most significant correlation with the standardized precipitation index scales. Also, the correlation with 6-month delayed drought index indicated that four factors (total basin), drought index with nino 4 indexes, 3/4 and 3, multivariate ENSO, Madden Julian oscillation in regions 20, 70, 80, 100 degrees East direct relationship, and With East Pacific- North Pacific index, the southern oscillation and Madden Julian in the regions of 160 ° East, 120 ° and 40 ° West has a significant negative relationship. Four factors (total basin stations): The 9-month delayed drought index showed a significant negative correlation with the East Pacific- North Pacific index, southern oscillation and Mandden Julian fluctuations in the regions 120 and 40 degrees west, and with the Nino 3 indicator, the multivariate ENSO And the fluctuations of Madden Julian in the regions of 70, 80 and 100 degrees east has a significant direct relationship. Conclusion: The results of correlation analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between Teleconnection patterns and droughts in Qara-Qom basin.

In this study, combustion synthesis involving mechanical milling and subsequent sintering process was utilised to fabricate Cu/AlxCuy/Al2O3 in-situ composite through the aluminothermic reduction of CuO powders. First, CuO and Al powders were mixed, and ball milled for 30–150 min to facilitate self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS). Then, mechanically activated Al-CuO powders were mixed with elemental Cu powders and experienced subsequent cold compaction and sintering processes. The reactions during synthesis were studied utilising differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Densification and hardness of green and sintered bodies were also obtained. The results indicated that despite the negative free energy of the aluminothermic reaction, an initial activation energy supply is required, and mixed Al-CuO powders did not show significant progress in the combustion synthesis method. The aluminothermic reaction became probable whenever the activation energy was entirely provided by high-energy ball milling or by the sintering of ball-milled Al-CuO mixed powders. DTA results showed that the aluminothermic reaction temperature of Al-CuO decreased with milling times, whereas after 150 min of ball milling, the reaction was completed. XRD patterns revealed that the formation of Al2Cu and Al2O3 reinforcing phases resulted from CuO reduction with Al. Al4Cu9, Cu solid solution, and Al oxide phases were observed in sintered samples. The relative density of the samples was reduced compared to the green compacted parts due to the nature of the Cu-Al alloy and the occurrence of the swelling phenomenon. The hardness results indicated that in-situ formation of reinforcing phases in samples that experienced thermally assisted thermite reaction yielded superior hardness.

Background: Given the special importance of preventing from medication, the present study aimed to investigate the determining Causes of Medication Errors (CMEs) and their Priorities for reducing interventions in a hospital.Methods: The present mixed, sequential and cross-sectional study was conducted in a teaching hospital (2016). For data collection, Fishbone Diagrams, interviews, note taking and checklists were used, and qualitative data were analyzed though the thematic approach. Moreover, the Maxqda Software v.14.0, Excel, Edraw Max v.9.0 were employed for data analysis and reporting.Results: Seventy-five CMEs were classified under two main themes (human and non-human) and four sub-themes (personal, network, organizational, and meta-organizational). Weakness of professionalism and low experience as the personal causes; Actions of pharmacy colleagues, physicians and other nurses as the network causes; Management of nurses and unit specialty as the organizational causes and the quality of academic education, drug features and macro policies of medication as meta-organizational causes were classified. Six causes were given priority for reducing interventions.Conclusion: In the short term, human factors should be considered with the aim of reducing medication errors. It is also recommended that teaching how to deal with nurses’ stress and psychological pressure (especially beginner nurse), resulting from critically ill patients and high workload, be paid special attention. Besides, it is suggested that professionalism be given priority to reduce personal neglects and to create safe environments for reporting personal neglects. In addition, more emphasis should be placed on the right route in the process of medication administration.

This article introduces a dataset comprising a portfolio of six projects each having a baseline consisting of a budget derived from a standardized first-principles, bottom-up estimation technique. The projects utilize a homogeneous set of resources, both consumable and non-consumable, which are inter-related in a highly complex, multi-dimensional manner with appropriate correlation between quantity, productivity rates and cost rates. The dataset also includes detailed time-phased actual costs and progress over the life of each project as well as the time-phased values of revenue claimed for each project. The collection and attribution of 12,139 actual costs and the measurement of progress over a period of just under 109 consecutive weeks is consistent and standardized across all six projects providing a unique differentiator to other datasets. The data is valid for research in portfolio, program, or project (PPP) management or control of multiple resource-constrained projects, where projects are managed collectively, generally in a standardized manner to support a strategic business aim.

This paper explores the evolution of research collaboration networks in the 'stakeholder theory and management' (STM) discipline and identifies the longitudinal effect of co-authorship networks on research performance, i.e., research productivity and citation counts. Research articles totaling 6,127 records from 1989 to 2020 were harvested from the Web of Science Database and transformed into bibliometric data using Bibexcel, followed by applying social network analysis to compare and analyze scientific collaboration networks at the author, institution and country levels. This work maps the structure of these networks across three consecutive sub-periods (t1: 1989-1999; t2: 2000-2010; t3: 2011-2020) and explores the association between authors' social network properties and their research performance. The results show that authors collaboration network was fragmented all through the periods, however, with an increase in the number and size of cliques. Similar results were observed in the institutional collaboration network but with less fragmentation between institutions reflected by the increase in network density as time passed. The international collaboration had evolved from an uncondensed, fragmented and highly centralized network, to a highly dense and less fragmented network in t3. Moreover, a positive association was reported between authors' research performance and centrality and structural hole measures in t3 as opposed to ego-density, constraint and tie strength in t1. The findings can be used by policy makers to improve collaboration and develop research programs that can enhance several scientific fields. Central authors identified in the networks are better positioned to receive government funding, maximize research outputs and improve research community reputation. Viewed from a network's perspective, scientists can understand how collaborative relationships influence research performance and consider where to invest their decision and choices.

Reliable and efficient risk assessments are essential to deal effectively with potential risks in international construction projects. However, most conventional risk modeling methods are based on the hypothesis that risk factors are independent, which does not account adequately for the causal relationships among risk factors. In this study, a risk assessment model for international construction projects was developed to improve the efficacy of risk management by integrating fault tree analysis and fuzzy set theory with a Bayesian belief network. The risk rating of each risk factor, expressed as the product of risk occurrence probability and impact, was incorporated into the risk assessment model to evaluate degrees of risk. Therefore, risk factors were categorized into different risk levels taking into account their inherent causal relationships, which allowed the identification of critical risk factors. The applicability of the fuzzy Bayesian belief network-based risk assessment model was verified using a case study through a comparative analysis with the results from a fuzzy synthetic evaluation method. The comparison shows that the proposed risk assessment model is able to provide guidelines for an effective risk management process and ultimately to increase project performance in a complex environment such as international construction projects.

Canola is an important temperate oil crop that can be severely affected by drought. Understanding the physiological and molecular mechanisms involved in canola tolerance to water deficit is essential to obtain drought-tolerant productive cultivars. To investigate the role of antioxidant response and the possible involvement of calcium-dependent protein kinases (CDPKs) in canola tolerance to drought, we analyzed four genotypes with different sensitivity to water stress. Leaf relative water content, canopy temperature, PSII efficiency, electrolyte leakage index and lipid peroxidation were used as indicators to classify the cultivars as drought-tolerant or drought-sensitive. Antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase, guaiacol peroxidase and catalase displayed significantly higher activities in drought-tolerant than in drought-sensitive cultivars subjected to water deficit, suggesting that the efficiency of the antioxidant response is essential in canola drought tolerance. The increased expression of genes BnaCDPK6 and BnaCDPK14 under drought conditions, their differential expression in drought-tolerant and drought-sensitive genotypes, and the presence of multiple cis-acting stress-related elements in their promoter regions suggest that CDPKs are part of the signaling pathways that regulate drought response in canola. We propose the BnaCDPK genes and their regulator elements as potential molecular targets to obtain drought-tolerant productive canola cultivars through breeding or genetic transformation.

Background and purpose: Today, health is one of the main priorities of human life. Nowadays, the viewpoints about health are different and more attention is paid to nonmedical expectations. So, this study aimed to analyze the Health Reform Plan in healthcare sector using SWOT approach from the stakeholder perspective. Materials and methods: This qualitative study was conducted in 37 people using semi-structured in-depth interviews in 2017. The participants included individuals who were informed about the Health Reform Plan, executive managers, health administrators, family physicians, and patients in comprehensive healthcare centers. They were selected by purposive sampling. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed by framework method. Results: The main strengths included empowering the managers, developing and facilitating the health network, electronic health records, increasing the accessibility of services, and promoting self care. The weak points were as follows: management of human resources, choosing the managers, financial management, poor infrastructures, treatment-based system, low efficacy of recording system, and payment system. The opportunities included authorities’ supports, legal backing, and public-private sector cooperation. The threats were lack of sustainable financing, aging phenomenon, and non-communicable diseases. Conclusion: This study showed the strengths and weaknesses of Health Reform Plan in healthcare sector, and its opportunities and threats. Therefore, efficient interventions are needed to ensure appropriate and precise planning and implementation of this project.

Background: Chronic Heart Failure (CHF) is a syndrome that negatively affects a person’s Quality of Life (QOL). The efficient self-management education program increases the individual’s abilities and skills for following and participating in a long-term healthcare plan. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the self-management education program on QOL in people with CHF. Methods: This randomized controlled trial study was conducted on 60 people with CHF and without sensory- cognitive problem from April-August 2015. They were selected using the convenience sampling method, and were randomly assigned into the intervention and control groups. The control group received the routine education presented to participants at discharge. However, besides the routine education, the intervention group received the self-management education program consisting of three sessions followed for a 3-month period. The Iranian heart failure QOL questionnaire was used for data collection before and after the intervention. This research was carried out to determine the most suitable method of collecting rainwater for Persian oak (Quercus brantii Lindl var persica Zohary) planting in forest regeneration and enrichment projects in Chenarfaryab Kohmareh Sorkhi region of Fars province during three years. In order to provide the moisture necessary for the growth of oak seedlings, four sowing methods were used in the form of a split plot design with the main source of seeding (seed and seedling), and methods for collecting water including hollowing, barley, platform and pothole. Treatments were carried out in four replicates along with control treatment in the field. Results showed that the percentage of seeds and seedlings in the studied years had declining trends. No significant difference was observed between seed and seedling methods. Sowing methods had a statistically significant difference at 1% level, but there was no significant difference in reciprocal effects of seed and seedling sowing and planting methods. In seed planting, rectangular, pitch hole, and furrow showed the highest percentage of survival, while rectangular pitch, pitch hole, and trace method had the highest percentage of survival, respectively in planting of the seedlings. In this way, rectangular and pitch hole planting methods are the most suitable methods for preserving the water available for oak forests, a method commonly used by the owners and contractors.

Introduction Legumes are one of the most important sources of protein in the diet of many people in developing countries and are the second largest source of human food. Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) ranks 2nd in cultivated area of legumes in the world. Low chickpea performance in Iran with respect to environmental conditions and inaccessibility to adequate water and appropriate genotype and little breeding works has been done on it. Since the main components of genetic and environmental factors that determine the yield and quality of plants, the main purpose of the selection of breeding indices, should focus more on the effects of genetic factors. Genetic diversity in chick pea collection can be used in breeding program for selection of genotype with desirable agronomic traits. Studying relationships between agronomic traits would assist breeders to identify the effective traits and use proper selection intensity in their breeding programs. Material & Methods In order to evaluate the genetic diversity and identify relationships between yield with other morphological traits, in chickpeas genotype, 28 Kabuli genotypes with two controls i.e. Jam and Kourosh, under non-stress and terminal drought stress condition, an experiment was carried out in a complete block design with three replications on research farm of University of Tehran in 2013. Results & Discussion For most of the traits, results showed that there were significant differences among genotypes which revealed genetic variation among them. The results of phenotypic correlation under non-stress condition showed that seed yield per plant had significant and positive correlation with seed and pod weight per plant, number of seeds per plant and 100 seed weight. Results under drought stress condition showed that seed yield per plant with seed and pod weight and number of seeds per plant had significant and positive correlation at 1% probability level. According to the results of phenotypic correlations, stepwise regression, path analysis in both conditions (non-stress and with terminal stress), it could be concluded that, the traits such as seed and pod weight per plant, 100-seed weight, and number of seeds per plant were most important and effective traits affecting yield and considering that among the genotypes. Since most variation was observed among genotypes for these traits, therefore selecting and breeding for them could be ideal for improving yield. Based on factor analysis under the non-stress condition, the three factors were selected that explained 69.3 percent of the total variations. The first, second, and third factors were explained 30.32, 26.78 and 12.28 percent of the variations, respectively. The second factor that included five traits (seed and pod weights per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed yield per plant and number of seed per pod) was introduced as the components of yield. Under the terminal drought stress condition, four factors selected that totally were explained 89.6 percent of the variations. The first, second, third and fourth factors were explained as 44.86, 23.43, 11.82 and 9.56 percent of the variations, respectively. In these conditions also, the second factor that included four traits (seed and pod weights per plant, number of seeds per plant and seed yield per plant) was introduced as components of yield. Therefore, these two factors used to identify genotypes with high yield and yield components, in non-stress condition the genotypes 22,474,239,370 and control genotype Jam (No. 998), and in stress condition the genotypes 508,236 with two control genotypes Jam (No. 998) and Kourosh (No, 999) were selected as high yield and component yield genotypes. According to the results of cluster analysis based on the square Euclidian distance and Ward method, under non-drought stress condition the genotypes classified in 3 clusters. The genotypes of second cluster had high yield comparing with the other clusters and total genotypes average. According to the results of cluster analysis under drought stress condition, the genotypes classified in 4 clusters that the genotypes of third cluster, in seed and pod weights per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed yield per plant and number of seed per pod traits had the highest average comparing with other clusters and total genotypes average. According to the result of cluster analysis, the genotypes in third cluster with two control genotypes (Jam and Kourosh) could be use for produce hybrids and getting yield hybrids. Conclusion According to the results, the studied chickpea germplasm, are valuable resources, in addition to possess new traits provide high diversity for breeders to improve of the new varieties.

In this study, a new recoverable catalyst for the epoxidation of olefins was developed using a layered polysiloxane as a support for immobilizing (salen) molybdenum(VI) complex by electrostatic interaction between the surface of the solid support and the electrically charged molybdenum complex. Characterization of the heterogeneous catalyst by Fourier transform infrared, XRD,1H NMR, and atomic absorption spectroscopes as well as thermogravimetric and CHN elemental analyses confirmed successful immobilization of the (salen) molybdenum(VI) complex to the support. The prepared catalyst catalyzed the epoxidation of olefins efficiently. The effect of different factors on the epoxidation of cyclooctene was investigated. Reaction conditions including reaction temperature, solvent type, substrate amount, catalyst amount and oxidant amount were systematically optimized in order to achieve the highest conversion of cyclooctene. Various other olefins showed high catalytic activity and selectivity under the optimal reaction conditions. Regenerability test demonstrated that the catalyst can be recycled for at least five times without leaching of molybdenum. Moreover, the catalyst showed good stability under the reaction conditions as determined by FT-IR and ICP-OES analyses.

Background: Chronic heart failure (CHF) can have negative effects on the quality of life (QoL). Self-management education is one of the approaches that can be adopted to increase the QoL of these patients. This study aimed to determine the effect of self-management training using compact disc (CD) on the QoL in patients with CHF. Methods: This study was a non-randomized controlled clinical trial which was conducted on 74 patients with CHF hospitalized in Shahid Rajaie Cardiovascular medical and research center in 2015. Research samples were selected with convenience sampling method and randomly assigned to intervention (training with CD) and control (conventional training) groups. To collect data, Iranian questionnaire to assess QoL in patients with heart failure (IHF-QoL) was completed in both groups before and 3 months after the intervention. Data analysis was done using statistical tests of the Independent t test and paired t-test using SPSS version 21. Results: According to the findings, there was no significant difference between two groups before the intervention with regard to QoL scores (P=0.58). Statistical tests showed that 3 months after the intervention, self-management education promoted QoL subscales including psychological status (t=-2.578, P=0.012), self-care (t=-3.633, P=0.001), as well as total QoL (t=-2.01, P=0.048) in patients in the intervention group as compared with the control group. Also in CD method group, themean scores of total QOL and its subscales before the intervention were significantly different from that mean scores 3 months after the intervention., i.e. their total QOL and its all subscales improved after intervention.
