This study examines the relative efficacy of entrepreneurial orientation (EO), market orientation (MO), and entrepreneurial marketing (EM) as moderated by various environmental and organizational factors including firm size. Using structural equation modeling and representative cross-sectional data of small, mid-sized, and large firms from the United States, the research finds that EO outperforms EM and MO in conditions of low competitive intensity, low market growth, and high supplier power. EO is also most viable for small firms, and those with smaller and less diverse networks. In contrast, MO performs best for large firms, and firms with diverse and strong networks, operating in high growth, low turbulence markets, and when supplier power is low. Finally, EM excels under conditions of high market turbulence, competitive intensity, and supplier power, for mid-sized firms, and firms with low network strength. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ObjectivesMethodResultsConclusionWe conducted the current systematic review to investigate the association between dietary inflammatory index (DII) and severe headaches or migraine among adults via synthesizing observational evidence.We conducted a systematic literature search of observational studies through PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases from inception until July 2024. The PECO framework was implemented to select eligible studies as follows: Population (adults with severe headache or migraine), Exposure (individuals with the highest adherence to a pro-inflammatory diet), Comparison (individuals with the lowest adherence to a pro-inflammatory diet), Outcome (risk of developing severe headache or migraine, headaches frequency, duration, severity, and migraine-related disability).After reviewing six studies involving 31,958 individuals, we found that following an anti-inflammatory diet is associated with a lower frequency and severity of migraine headaches. Additionally, our research revealed that individuals with migraines tend to have lower adherence to an anti-inflammatory diet when compared to people without migraines. Surprisingly, adherence to a pro-inflammatory diet was linked to a reduced risk of chronic daily headaches.Present findings imply a negative link between an inflammatory diet and severe headaches or migraine. The aim of this systematic review and meta‐analysis was to comprehensively evaluate the latest evidences and summarise the impact of HIV on PCI outcomes. A PRISMA guided literature search was conducted on 14 February 2024 in Web of Science, PubMed, Virtual Health Library, Google Scholar and Scopus. We searched with the term '("percutaneous coronary intervention" OR "PCI") AND ("human immunodeficiency virus" OR "HIV" OR "acquired immunodeficiency syndrome" OR "AIDS")' after selecting the keywords from randomly chosen included papers. We included 8 papers of 781 screened records. HIV (+) patients had significant in‐hospital, 1‐year and overall (event at the last follow up point) all‐cause mortality compared to HIV (−) group (OR: 1.73, 95%CI: 1.57–1.90, p < 0.01), (OR: 1.39, 95%CI: 1.07–1.81, p = 0.01) and (OR: 1.69, 95%CI: 1.55–1.85, p < 0.01), respectively. HIV (+) patients had significantly higher odds of developing MACE (OR: 1.35, 95%CI: 1.12–1.62, p = 0.001) compared to the HIV (−) group. No differences between both groups were detected regarding in‐hospital and overall CV mortality, TVR, TLR, post‐PCI TIMI grade 3 flow, cerebrovascular accidents and recurrent coronary events (p > 0.05). Our study revealed that people with HIV who underwent PCI in this modern era may have worse short and long‐term PCI outcomes. This finding highlights the need for specialised cardiovascular care protocols for the HIV population. BACKGROUND: Bonding between metal and ceramic is one of the most important aspects of a successful prosthesis. Various methods have been recommended for preparing the metal surface to enhance the bond between metal and ceramic including the use of a metal bonding agent. OBJECTIVE: This study aims to evaluate and compare the shear bond strength of the metal-ceramic (M-C) interface after combinations of various surface treatments including the application of a metal bonding agent. METHOD: 40 Ni-Cr alloy specimens were made and divided into 4 groups of 10 each based on the combination of surface treatments. Sandblasting, surface grinding, and Oxidation heat treatment (OHT) were performed on specimens from Group 1 (Control). In addition, Group 2 specimens received ultrasonic cleaning, Group 3 steam cleaning, and Group 4 metal bonding agent application. Following surface treatments on all specimens, porcelain build-up was performed, and shear bond strength was tested in a Digital Universal testing machine. The statistical tests used were independent t -test and ANOVA. RESULTS: Results revealed that Group 4 specimens had the highest mean value of shear bond strength of 39.087 MPa while Group 3 specimens showed the least mean shear bond strength of 18.154 MPa with highly statistically significant results (p < 0.001). CONCLUSION: The surface treatments and application of bonding agent to metal prior to porcelain application resulted in increased shear bond strength of the metal-ceramic interface. Esthetically pleasing temporary prostheses are often necessary for extended periods in a variety of clinical scenarios. Adjustments to the occlusion or margins are commonly needed before cementing the temporary prosthesis. Therefore, it is clinically necessary to repolish the rough surface to avoid biological and esthetic issues associated with rough surfaces. The purpose of this in vitro study was to assess and compare the impact of various polishing protocols on the surface roughness and color stability of three resin materials used for provisional crowns. A total of 150 specimens were fabricated from auto-polymerizing polymethyl methacrylate, bis-acryl composite, and Methyl methacrylate-LC resin using a stainless steel mold. Each material group was divided into five groups (n = 10) based on the applied surface treatment: positive control group (G1): no roughening or surface treatment, Negative control group (G2): acrylic bur-roughened surface without any polishing, the different surface treatment groups of silicon carbide and aluminum oxide stone polishing (G3), diamond-coated rubber twist (G4), and Surface Glaze (G5). An optical profilometer was used to assess the surface roughness of all samples. After undergoing 6000 cycles of thermocycling followed by immersion in a coffee solution for 15 days at 37 °C, color parameters were measured using a spectrophotometer both before and after a storage period to evaluate color differences. A two-way ANOVA test with α = 0.05 significance level was carried out to determine the impacts of both the materials utilized and the polishing protocol. Among the three types of resin examined, the bisacryl group exhibited superior surface quality in positive control groups, while PMMA resin demonstrated higher polishability. The diamond-coated rubber twits resulted in lower Ra values of 0.36 (0.01) µm, 0.52 (0.11) µm, and 0.28 (0.05) µm for PMMA, BAMA, and MMLC resins, respectively. The application of photo-polymerized surface glaze led to a plaque accumulation threshold of 0.2 µm across all resin groups. The greatest mean color change occurred in the negative control group, indicating a propensity for more staining on rougher surfaces. The Bisacryl resin exhibited higher ΔE values, whereas PMMA showed better color stability. The lowest ΔE values were found when the surface glaze was applied to all of the provisional crown resins. Untreated Bisacryl resin exhibited the lowest Ra values, while PMMA resins demonstrated superior surface morphology after polishing. PMMA provisional crown resins showed increased resistance to staining. The use of surface glaze enhanced both smoothness and color stability on the surfaces. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Infection prevention and control (IPC) standards have a unique role in controlling infection transmission. In Saudi Arabia, every healthcare facility is required to establish an IPC program to identify and reduce the risk of infection acquisition and transmission. This study aimed to estimate adherence to IPC measures after the COVID-19 pandemic among healthcare workers (HCWs) in Najran City, Saudi Arabia. This cross-sectional study was conducted among HCWs in Najran City during the period of May to August 2023. A self-administered questionnaire was given to HCWs consisting of three parts: demographic data, profile of healthcare facility and healthcare professional regarding infection control, and questionnaire to assess the adherence of HCWs regarding infection control measures. The study recruited 580 HCWs, of whom 57.6% were males, and 46.6% were aged between 31 and 40 years. The overall mean adherence score was 103.2±9.71 out of 150 points. Accordingly, 88.4% were classified as having moderate adherence, 10.2% were good, and only 1.4% were classified as having poor adherence. Some of the factors associated with increased adherence to IPC measures, include being female, being a nurse, being a practitioner, working in the hospital emergency department, and having a recognized antimicrobial stewardship program team/unit at a healthcare facility. There was satisfactory adherence among HCWs regarding infection prevention and control measures. Being a female, a nurse, a practitioner, working in a hospital emergency department, being a staff of a nonMOH (Ministry of Health) hospital, and having a recognized antimicrobial stewardship program team/ unit were identified as significant predictors of increased adherence. IPC measures can be optimized by setting up institutional IPC teams, necessary PPE, and periodic provision of IPC training. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
