As décadas de 1960 e 1970 foram marcadas por protestos contra a indústria cultural, com o tráfico da música por meio de MP3s. Para reprimir a pirataria online, surgiram plataformas de streaming que oferecem música “gratuita”. Com isso em mente, o objetivo geral desta pesquisa é refletir sobre como o consumo de música interfere na sua própria representação. Para isso, foram estabelecidos os seguintes objetivos específicos: a) coletar bibliografia sobre o tema “música livre”; b) investigar como a ciência da informação pode beneficiar as pessoas por meio da Internet das Coisas; c) destacar o capitalismo gerado no mercado da música e os principais pontos sobre plataformas de streaming e venda de música. Conclui-se que toda performance tecnológica da música é marcada pelo interesse do mercado (que influenciou e continua influenciando as escolhas culturais).

The Knowledge Organization Systems (KOS) as tools used to interpret knowledge structuresare considered, helping in the organization, representation and retrieval of information. It is discussed to what extent the entries as Knowledge Organization (KO)tools contribute to understanding and greater applicability, in the sense of contributing to the Information Science area in what concerns information retrieval. For this, a data survey was carried out considering the terms retrieved in ISKO, identified by the ISKO Encyclopedia of Knowledge Organization(IEKO). The analysis was performed using the content analysis methodology. Based on the approach proposed by this work, 32 articles were retrieved to discuss the concepts of KOSin the Brazilian Information Science literature. As a result, we identified the entries that made it possible to direct some theoretical and practical contributions in the context of KO. The entries retrieved in IEKO are classification systems and showthat this system orders and highlights the KOprocess for its particular use, butthat its practice does not contribute for the knowledge to be retrieved, being necessary theconjunction with another process, such as indexing, so that it can be retrieved by subject, which allows us to conclude that indexing assigns representative terms based on the concepts of the material, allowing us to observe how IEKOhas understood the KO processes and systems. For several authors, KOis approached from different thoughts and points of view: the KOSas a process addresses the representation, organization, description of documents, using classification, indexing and cataloging as a procedure; and KOSas a tool, uses rules and standards such as classification systems, thesauri, ontologies and so on.

Following the explosion of publications about COVID-19, some of these articles were retracted. These articles are potentially dangerous to public health as they can mislead about the nature of the virus. The growth and sensitive nature of retracted papers led to bibliometrics studies on them, although few, which focused more on the level of documents. This study, instead, examines the characteristics of the authors of these articles. 54 retracted COVID-19 articles that fit our study’s criteria were identified. The results revealed that 32% of these authors were MD, and about one-fifth of them had a past history of publishing retracted articles. The average number of authors per article was 6. Also, according to their profile in the Scopus, the mean number of documents, citations and their H-index were 61, 3159 and 12, respectively. Women also appeared in one-third of the articles as first and last authors. Continued research about retracted COVID-19 articles can continue to help prevent the further dissemination of questionable research findings.

Cytidine 2',3'-cyclic monophosphate (2',3'-cCMP) and uridine 2',3'-cyclic monophosphate (2',3'-cUMP) were isolated from Pseudomonas fluorescens pfo-1 cell extracts by semi-preparative reverse phase HPLC. The structures of the two compounds were confirmed by NMR and mass spectroscopy against commercially available authentic samples. Concentrations of both intracellular and extracellular 2',3'-cCMP and 2',3'-cUMP were determined. Addition of 2',3'-cCMP and 2',3'-cUMP to P. fluorescens pfo-1 culture did not significantly affect the level of biofilm formation in static liquid cultures.
