The urachus is a tubular embryonic structure connecting the allantois at the umbilicus to the bladder during development of foetus. It gets obliterated at 12th week of gestation and remains as a fibrous cord like structure extending from the umbilicus to the dome of the bladder. Complete or partial failure of this process results in urachal anomalies. We are reporting a rare case of young lady presenting with features of dysuria and passage of jelly like material in urine which was subsequently diagnosed as vesicourachal diverticulum by cross sectional imaging, cystoscopy and managed with minimally invasive surgical excision.

Global climate change-essentially an adverse consequence of global warming, is principally caused by progressive build-up and extensive spread of greenhouse gases (GHGs) across countries, regions or continents because of earth’s rotational movement. The potent sources of GHGs are fossil-fuels and biomass. With the increasing pace of globalization, industrialization and rapid change of life-style the demand and consumption of these feed-stocks to stimulate economic growth is steadily rising-both in the developing and developed economy. In the process, the emissions level is also rising phenomenally; and of late become quite alarming-more in the former than latter case, affecting thereby the environmental quality as also its security concerns globally. This paper highlights the major impacts of global warming and consequential climate change on the environmental quality and overall security aspects-including commercial, strategic and defense angles for the South-Asian region. The paper also discusses some relevant aspects linking the larger question of energy security with environmental security through the approach of sustainable energy development for envisioning a balanced economic development as well as growth perspective for South Asia. The significance of International cooperation in the mitigation and adaptation of climate change impacts with special reference to Asia- Pacific and South Asian region is also discussed at some length in the paper.

We describe here a case of a 38-year-old lady presenting with a about 5x4cm in size swelling on the left labia majora. She had similar type of swelling 2 years back which was treated surgically. FNAC report of the present mass revealed angiomyxoma. In view of its’ recurrent nature wide local surgical excision of the mass was done. Histopathology report confirmed the diagnosis of angiomyxoma. The lady is under follow up and there is no further recurrence till date.

During routine dissection, variation in branching pattern of coeliac trunk has been observed in adult 54-year-old male cadaver. Instead of normal three branches an additional branch i.e., Left inferior phrenic artery originated from it as fourth branch. Then it divided into two branches, one directly supplied the diaphragm and other branch divided into three sub-branches. First and second branch entered into the left suprarenal gland at its upper and middle pole and third one finally terminated by supplying to the diaphragm. There is no separate middle suprarenal artery on the left side, but inferior suprarenal artery was as usual. No variations have been found on right side in the lateral branches of abdominal aorta. Such a quadrifurcation of celiac trunk to supply suprarenal gland is quiet unique so far searched in literature.

7 months old male child presented with abdominal distension since birth. On examination there was a lobulated, tense cystic mass occupying almost 2/3 of the abdominal cavity. Ultrasonography (USG) revealed a predominantly hypoechoic mass measuring 17cm x 14cm x15cm. CT scan of abdomen showed a multiseptate cystic mass with eccentrically located areas of fat and calcification. Exploration of the abdomen revealed a huge thick walled cyst within the leaves of the mid ileal mesentery which could be enucleated out entirely after careful dissection. Histopathology suggested it to be a benign cystic teratoma (Dermoid cyst).
