International audience; We study the problem of executing an application represented by a precedence task graph on a multi-core machine composed of standard computing cores and accelerators. Contrary to most existing approaches, we distinguish the allocation and the scheduling phases and we mainly focus on the allocation part of the problem: choose the more appropriate type of computing unit for each task. We address both off-line and on-line settings. In the first case, we establish strong lower bounds on the worst-case performance of a known approach based on Linear Programming for solving the allocation problem. Then, we refine the scheduling phase and we replace the greedy list scheduling policy used in this approach by a better ordering of the tasks. Although this modification leads to the same approximability guarantees, it performs much better in practice. We also extend this algorithm to more types of heterogeneous cores, achieving an approximation ratio which depends on the number of different types. In the on-line case, we assume that the tasks arrive in any, not known in advance, order which respects the precedence relations and the scheduler has to take irrevocable decisions about their allocation and execution. In this setting, we propose the first scheduling algorithm with precedences based on adequate rules for selecting the type of processor where to allocate the tasks. This algorithm achieves a constant factor approximation guarantee if the ratio of the number of CPUs over the number of GPUs is bounded. Finally, all the previous algorithms have been experimented on a large number of simulations built upon actual libraries. These simulations assess the good practical behavior of the algorithms with respect to the state-of-the-art solutions whenever these exist or baseline algorithms.

Durante el desarrollo el proyecto de investigación, se realizó un análisis y evaluación del Sector Hotelero de El Rodadero de Santa Marta, Colombia, motivados por el lento crecimiento y bajo nivel de competitividad que presenta este sector hotelero, por esta razón, el propósito principal de esta investigación fue caracterizar las problemáticas financieras que enfrenta el sector, que impiden el crecimiento y su competitividad. La metodología utilizada fue de tipo descriptiva; el diseño no experimental, transeccional; la población corresponde a 15 hoteles que suministró COTELCO (Asociación Hotelera de Colombia de Santa Marta); la técnica para la recolección de información, trató de un cuestionario simple estructurado con cuarenta y tres (43) preguntas con 5 escalas de respuesta, validado por un panel de expertos, complementado en el análisis de los Estados Financieros de las empresas seleccionadas, el estudio se orientó a la identificación de la problemáticas financieras del sector hotelero del Rodadero de Santa Marta. La información se analizó a través de la estadística descriptiva de frecuencias absolutas (N) y relativas (%), priorizándolas de acuerdo a su importancia, lo que permitió definir el impacto que éstas generan para la competitividad y crecimiento del sector, finalmente se proponen estrategias financieras para incrementar la oferta hotelera y contribuir al crecimiento y competitividad del sector hotelero de El Rodadero de Santa Marta, Colombia. ANEXOS 146 Maestría The research project is an analysis and evaluation of the Sector Hotelero de El Rodadero Santa Marta, motivated by the slow growth and low level of competitiveness that this hotel sector present, for this reason, the main purpose of this research was to identify the financial issues facing this hotel sector that is preventing the growth and competitiveness. The methodology used was descriptive with fieldwork, the design was not experimental. The population, provided by COTELCO (Colombia hotel association), corresponds to 15 hotels located in El Rodadero, Santa Marta, Colombia. The data collection technique, a simple questionnaire, was structured with forty-three (43) items with 5 response scales. The contents were validated by a panel of experts. Answers were supplemented with the financial statements of the selected companies and this made it possible to identify and measure the financial issues encountered. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics of absolute (N) and relative (%) frequencies, and the financial issues of the Hotel Sector were identified and prioritized according to their importance and defining the impact they generate. In addition, financial strategies are proposed to increase the supply and contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the hotel sector Rodadero Santa Marta, Colombia.
