112. Amblyomma sculptum Berlese, 1888. A Neotropical species whose adults and nymphs are usually found on Mammalia (several orders). All parasitic stages, including the undescribed larva, have been collected from Artiodactyla: Bovidae, Carnivora: Canidae, Didelphimorphia: Didelphidae, Perissodactyla: Equidae, and Cariamiformes: Cariamidae; adults and nymphs have been recovered from Mammalia (several orders); adults alone have been taken from Struthioniformes: Rheidae, and Testudines: Chelidae; nymphs and larvae have been found on Galliformes: Cracidae; nymphs alone have been collected from Rodentia (several families), and Aves (several orders); while larvae alone have been recovered from Passeriformes: Cardinalidae and Thraupidae (Kluyber et. al. 2016, Luz et al. 2017 a, Martins et al. 2017, Sousa et al. 2017, Guglielmone & Robbins 2018, Tarragona et al. 2018, Barbieri et al. 2019).
