The EU ACCLAIM project as part of the European Clean Sky 2 activities is oriented to improve the aircraft assembly process. The SIMFAL H2020 Clean Sky 2 project is part of the ACCLAIM project, whose objective is to analyse, plan and optimize automated assembly tasks of cabin and cargo interior parts, with a coexistence between human workforce and machines (lightweight robots and AGVs). SIMFAL framework integrates VR and AR systems to help the user to work in limited spaces, collaborating with automation systems. The VR system aids the user to visualize different assembly processes in an immersive environment, and evaluate them in terms of time and ergonomics to choose the best one. The output of this system will feed the AR system, that will use the best process to guide the user though the assembly tasks, showing context-sensitive information about the tasks and the environment through a help assistant. This paper is focused on showing the first results of the implementation of a VR simulation of aircraft assembly tasks, based on the SIMFAL framework design. The proof of concept is tested with a simulation of six real scenarios and ergonomics experiments already done in Airbus facilities.

This research is part of a larger study and aims to analyze the case of EducaBlog, a professional blog of social education, from a phenomenological perspective to analyze its contribution to the professionalization, identity, and professional development of social education. This report presents the quantitative results and compares them with qualitative ones, both collected through a virtual questionnaire that was aimed at professionals from the third social sector who follow EducaBlog. The analysis was performed using SPSS V.26 software (INC., Chicago, IL) for quantitative data and NVIVO 12 V. Release 1.5 for qualitative data. The results showed that EducaBlog users identify it as a professional learning space that contributes both to professionalization, to identity and to professional development.

Social media have a special role in today's society and this is being reflected in the development of the professions. Social Education does not escape from this reality and to this we can add the lack of studies on the subject. This article presents part of the analysis carried out as part of a wider investigation into the contribution to Social Education of a blog called "Educablog", which has been running for more than 15 years. The aim is to analyse the contribution of the blog to the identity, professional development and professionalisation of Social Education, from the perspective of professional users. In this research we have opted for a qualitative methodology and we have used the lifeline where we have relied on the use of photographs to gather information. The discourse generated in the development of the dynamic shows significant contributions from “Educablog” in the professionalization, professional identity and professional development of Social Education. In the same way, it has been shown that digital media have significantly accompanied the evolution of Social Education within and outside this object of study.

Objetivo. La educación social no es ajena a los cambios de la sociedad actual cada vez más tecnologizada. En este sentido, el objetivo de este estudio es proporcionar un panorama actualizado del estado de la cuestión a partir de una revisión sistemática de la bibliografía científica sobre educación social, conceptos clave (profesionalización, identidad y desarrollo profesional) y la Web 2.0. Metodología. Se realizó una investigación cualitativa basada en una revisión sistemática de la bibliografía internacional tomando como referencia la herramienta PRISMA-P entre los años 2012 y 2021. Concretamente se ha llevado a cabo un análisis del contenido a través del software Nvivo 12 versión Release 1.5, realizando búsquedas de texto, mapas jerárquicos y matrices de codificación, entre otros. La selección definitiva contenía 22 artículos que fueron revisados y categorizados de manera inductiva-deductiva. Resultados. Los medios sociales tienen una repercusión notoria en aspectos fundamentales de la educación social como son la profesionalización, la identidad y el desarrollo profesional. Destaca la necesidad del desarrollo competencial de las educadoras y educadores sociales para un desempeño ético de su labor en el espacio virtual. Conclusión. En la actual sociedad tecnologizada el uso de los medios sociales continúa su ascenso exponencial y la profesión de la educación social debe buscar su espacio también en el ámbito virtual, reconociendo que la profesión tiene que dar respuesta a una sociedad en la que internet es un espacio de comunicación. En este sentido, se aboga por una mayor definición de las competencias digitales en la educación social.

Este estudio se encuadra en una investigación más amplia sobre la educación inclusiva desarrollada en el Territorio Histórico de Bizkaia. En este caso, se pone el foco en la realidad del alumnado con discapacidad auditiva dentro de las etapas de infantil y primaria, en concreto, hemos querido, de mano de las familias y asociaciones que trabajan con ellas, conocer cuál es el concepto de inclusión educativa que manejan y dónde se encuentran los elementos que pueden estar obstaculizando y apoyando la misma. Para ello, nos hemos basado en una investigación cualitativa en la que, a través de instrumentos como la entrevista, el cuestionario o los grupos focales hemos podido reiterar algunos de los aportes que investigaciones previas reflejan. El estudio desarrollado con estas familias nos lleva a concluir que, entre otros aspectos, todavía existe una significativa distorsión entre los principios promulgados por las políticas educativas y una inclusión real; junto con algunos elementos obstaculizadores de la inclusión, también se rescatan otros que están operando como facilitadores, véase una adecuada formación y sensibilización de agentes educativos o una comunicación y colaboración efectiva entre la escuela y la familia.

Addressing the environmental impact of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) disposal highlights the need for efficient recycling methods. Chemical recycling, specifically alkaline hydrolysis, presents a promising avenue for PET waste management by depolymerizing PET into its constituent monomers. This study focuses on optimizing the pressurized alkaline hydrolysis process for post-consumer PET residues obtained from packaging materials. Post-consumer PET packaging waste was chemically recycled by means of an alkaline hydrolysis reaction in a 2 L pressurized reactor under varying conditions of the NaOH/PET ratio and temperature. The reaction’s progress was monitored by sampling the liquid phase hourly over a four-hour period. The obtained products were purified, with a focus on isolating terephthalic acid (TPA). Higher temperatures (150 °C) resulted in superior TPA yields (>95%) compared to lower temperatures (120 °C). The NaOH/PET ratio showed minimal influence on the TPA yield. The optimal conditions (T = 150 °C; NaOH:PET = 2) were identified based on TPA yield and reaction cost considerations. This study demonstrates the feasibility of pressurized alkaline hydrolysis for PET recycling, with optimized conditions yielding high TPA purity and efficiency.

This work addresses a novel bio-solvolysis process for the treatment of complex poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) waste using a biobased monoethylene glycol (BioMEG) as a depolymerization agent in order to achieve a more sustainable chemical recycling process. Five difficult-to-recycle PET waste streams, including multilayer trays, coloured bottles and postconsumer textiles, were selected for the study. After characterization and conditioning of the samples, an evaluation of the proposed bio-solvolysis process was carried out by monitoring the reaction over time to determine the degree of PET conversion (91.3–97.1%) and bis(2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate (BHET) monomer yield (71.5–76.3%). A monomer purification process, using activated carbon (AC), was also developed to remove the colour and to reduce the metal content of the solid. By applying this purification strategy, the whiteness (L*) of the BHET greatly increased from around 60 to over 95 (L* = 100 for pure white) and the Zn content was significantly reduced from around 200 to 2 mg/kg. The chemical structure of the purified monomers was analyzed via infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and the composition of the samples was measured by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), proving a high purity of the monomers with a BHET content up to 99.5% in mol.

Human identification of fresh remains is mainly carried out employing dactyloscopy. However, depending on the state of preservation of the body, other forensic sciences such as anthropology, odontology, and genetic analysis may be involved. The question arises as to Which is the predominant mean of human identification in the Servicio Nacional de Medicina y Ciencias Forenses of the State of Carabobo, Venezuela? and with respect to the area of forensic anthropology, which is the leading methodology among the bioanthropological tetrahedron, facial morphology characters or other individualizing elements? A statistical sample of the human remains admitted to this service for identification and analyzed by the forensic anthropology and odontology departments was used to answer these questions. Of 182 human remains, 69 were identified by these two departments and other means (necro-dactyloscopy, recognition by witnesses, or by officials). Most of them were identified by forensic anthropology methods using facial morphology characters, regardless of their state of preservation. These statistical data demonstrate the relevance of facial morphology analysis in forensic anthropology for human identification in any state of human remains preservation.

This research aims to situate the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) as an alternative to the capitalist economic system that has more and more weight and presence in the Basque socio-economic panoramaour public action space, in the field of socio-educational action as well. Specifically, our main objective is to analyse the reality of SSE socio-educational entities in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country (ACBC). In terms of methodology, we would like to highlight the qualitative study through the review and analysis of 54 SSE projects in the ACBC during the period from November 2022 to March 2023, linked to social and labor insertion. The following elements have been taken as study dimensions: participating groups, areas of work, territory, geographical scope, volume of employment, permanence, source of financing, level of transparency, intercooperation and networks and movements for social transformation. Some of the results found indicate that, among other issues: economic projects with social purposes continue to grow and are resilient, more and more work sectors are covered, and bringing together these elements (economic and even environmental and social) is an opportunity for coherence and for a just social transformation as a means to confront capitalism. El artículo recoge los resultados de una investigación colaborativa realizada en un municipio de Vizcaya, con una larga trayectoria de desarrollo del tiempo libre educativo infantojuvenil. Con la clave de la inclusión de las voces de la infancia y la innovación, se desarrolló una experiencia radiofónica que puso en evidencia el trabajo que desde el tiempo libre educativo se hacía en el municipio, sus actores y su repercusión en el desarrollo de la comunidad desde la voz de las personas menores. El proyecto forma parte de una investigación coordinada de cuatro universidades españolas. En su desarrollo participaron educadores de las tres entidades que se ocupan del tiempo libre educativo en el municipio. El proceso tuvo una duración de un año, con diferentes fases y momentos, donde el protagonismo de las personas menores de edad ha sido clave. Los resultados demuestran que el tiempo libre educativo es un motor importante para el desarrollo comunitario, mejora la convivencia y planteado desde claves inclusivas y transformadoras, favorece la cohesión social junto a procesos igualitarios, equitativos y justos. La radio comunitaria ofrece, además, una forma de expresión y visibilización del colectivo de menores de edad en la comunidad.

The preparation and characteristics of rigid polyurethane foams (RPUFs) synthesized from polyols obtained by glycolysis of post-industrial waste RPUFs have been studied. More precisely, waste rigid foams that have been chemically recycled by glycolysis in this work are industrially produced pieces for housing and bracket applications. The glycolysis products have been purified by vacuum distillation. The physicochemical properties of the polyols, such as hydroxyl value, acid value, average molecular weight (Mn) and viscosity have been analyzed. The chemical structure and thermal stability of the polyols have been studied by means of FTIR and TGA, respectively. Partial substitution of the commercial polyol (up to 15 wt.%) by the recycled polyols increases the reactivity of the RPUFs synthesis, according to short characteristic times during the foaming process along with more exothermic temperature profiles. Foams formulated with recycled polyols have a lower bulk density (88.3–96.9 kg m−3) and smaller cell sizes compared to a conventional reference RPUF. The addition of recycled polyols (up to 10 wt.%) into the formulation causes a slight decrease in compressive properties, whereas tensile strength and modulus values increase remarkably.

John Dewey es la personalidad más representativa de la pedagogía norteamericana. Podríamos decir que los aportes hechos en el campo de la Educación han sido innumerables, destacando el “pragmatismo” como uno de los más valiosos. La lectura de su obra supone una fuente inagotable de ideas y propuestas que merecen ser atendidas. El enfoque de la “Pedagogía experiencial” ha propiciado diversas propuestas educativas que vienen desarrollándose en este último siglo en nuestras universidades: el Aprendizaje Basado en Problemas, el Aprendizaje Basado en Retos, etc., lo cual hace notar la actualidad del mismo. Citamos aquí algunas de las teorías que de algún modo influyeron en el pensamiento de Dewey, para después atender a la propia proyección que este autor y su pensamiento han tenido en Europa y Latinoamérica. Nos acercaremos también a algunas de las propuestas educativas que mencionábamos y que, sin lugar a dudas, se fundamentan en varios de los elementos sustanciales a esa ´Pedagogía experiencial´, los principios de continuidad e interacción, o la proyección social de toda experiencia, entre otros. En relación a este último, destacaremos el Aprendizaje-Servicio, como una propuesta de especial relevancia en el desarrollo de los valores y la conducta prosocial.

The aggregation of proteins into amyloid fibers is linked to more than forty still incurable cellular and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease (PD), multiple system atrophy, Alzheimer’s disease and type 2 diabetes, among others. The process of amyloid formation is a main feature of cell degeneration and disease pathogenesis. Despite being methodologically challenging, a complete understanding of the molecular mechanism of aggregation, especially in the early stages, is essential to find new biological targets for innovative therapies. Here, we reviewed selected examples on α-syn showing how complementary approaches, which employ different biophysical techniques and models, can better deal with a comprehensive study of amyloid aggregation. In addition to the monomer aggregation and conformational transition hypothesis, we reported new emerging theories regarding the self-aggregation of α-syn, such as the alpha-helix rich tetramer hypothesis, whose destabilization induce monomer aggregation; and the liquid-liquid phase separation hypothesis, which considers a phase separation of α-syn into liquid droplets as a primary event towards the evolution to aggregates. The final aim of this review is to show how multimodal methodologies provide a complete portrait of α-syn oligomerization and can be successfully extended to other protein aggregation diseases.
