Abstract

Wireless sensor network (WSN) plays a crucial role in many industrial, commercial, and social applications. However, increasing the number of nodes in a WSN increases network complexity, making it harder to acquire all relevant data in a timely way. By assuming the end node as a base station, we devised an Artificial Ant Routing (AAR) method that overcomes such network difficulties and finds an ideal routing that gives an easy way to reach the destination node in our situation. The goal of our research is to establish WSN parameters that are based on the biologically inspired Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) method. The proposed AAR provides the alternating path in case of congestion and high traffic requirement. In the event of node failures in a wireless network, the same algorithm enhances the efficiency of the routing path and acts as a multipath data transmission approach. We simulated network factors including Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), Throughput, and Energy Consumption to achieve this. The major objective is to extend the network lifespan while data is being transferred by avoiding crowded areas and conserving energy by using a small number of nodes. The result shows that AAR is having improved performance parameters as compared to LEACH, LEACH-C, and FCM-DS-ACO.

Abstract

Automatic emotion detection is a key task in human machine interaction,where emotion detection makes system more natural. In this paper, we propose an emotion detection using deep learning algorithm. The proposed algorithm uses end to end CNN. To increase computational efficiency of the deep network, we make use of trained weight parameters of the MobileNet to initialize the weight parameters of our system. To make our system independent of the input image size, we place global average pooling layer On top of the last convolution layer of it. Proposed system is validated for emotion detection using two benchmark datasetsviz.Cohn–Kanade+ (CK+) and Japanese female facial expression (JAFFE). The experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the other existing methods for emotion detection.

Abstract

Detection of pests or insects is a common problem in the field of agriculture. Therefore strong action should be taken to save the crop from the infestation as well as reducing the use of pesticides. Monitoring of pests infestation depends on resources used by human being however, an automatic monitoring system has been developing to reduce efforts and errors made by human. This project proposes the development of system in which image processing approaches are to be establishing for an automated detection and extraction system for detecting pest densities in agriculture fields. We have precisely developed a multipurpose robot, depending upon the densities of infestation robot decides spraying on infected area by sprayer or removes the part of crop by cutter infected by pest with an accuracy of 93% pest detection and 95% of decision making. So, it gives protection to crops, which can finally give better management and production of the crop.

Abstract

The emerging era of image processing has spread its wings in human life to the extent that image has become an integral part of their life. There are various applications of image processing in the field of e-commerce, engineering, graphics design, journalism, architecture, and historical research. In this research work, image processing is considered for the detection of weed present in chilli farm. The proposed system is an innovative method to detect and spray the herbicides on weeds present in the farm field. Weed present in the area reduces the quantity and quality of the crops and reduces the profit of the farmers. Agriculture is the main income source in India, and nearly 70% of Indians are dependent on the agriculture and related industry. In India, 349 million acres of the area is under cultivation. India is the top seventh net exporting nation across the globe in agricultural goods; thus agriculture plays a key role in Indian Economics. Agriculture is a backbone of human life. We have implemented image processing based technique using MATLAB to detect the weed areas in an image of farm fields.

Abstract

Image processing applications such as medical diagnosis, crime prevention, publishing or advertising, utilizes the traditional image processing techniques. Simple browsing can easily identify images from a small collection of images but for large and different collection of images identification of images emerge as a critical issue. In this paper for image retrieval four different features are extracted using DDBTC technique. The first two features such as Color Co-occurrence Features (CCF) and Color Histogram Features (CHF) are obtained using color quantizers, Bit Pattern Feature (BPF) and Bit Histogram Feature (BHF) are obtained using Bitmap image. In order to remove the false counter problem and blocking effect different error diffusion kernels are employed. The results shows better accuracy.
