The nanofibers of Tungsten sulphide and rGO (WS2-rGO) are prepared by electrospinning process. The structural and morphological features of nanofibers are examined by SEM. Material analysis is done by FTIR. The nanofibers are used to prepare membranes for water filtration in various aspects and levels. First of all Tungsten sulphide (WS2) powder 3g is dissolved in 100 ml of Dimethylformamide (DMF) for a complete and quickdissolving solution is placed on a hot magnetic stirrer and solution is heated at 100 °C. Next, the solution is stirred for an hour. The final solution is then filled in a syringe fitted on an infusion pump which is set up by electrospinning apparatus. In recent years, various improvements over different graphene synthesis methods are practiced constantly for safer and functional substitutes. Though graphene extraction through Hummers method is one of the former techniques yet but new advancements are always present. Here, we have compared the properties of graphene oxide prepared through conventional Hummers method and simple room temperature approach and it is concluded that conventional Hummers method can be replaced by simple room temperature approach by replacing sodium nitrate (NaNO3) with phosphoric acid (H3PO4) having no change in properties. In comparison to conventional Hummers method, this simple method eliminates need of temperature control and generation of toxic gases. In our case, this one-pot oxidation of graphite powder at room temperature has provided large area production of graphene oxide with 100% conversion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Graphene-based nanocomposite materials have drawn the serious attention of researchers due to their remarkable applications in the field of energy storage. Here, in the current work, the authors prepared various composite electrode materials composed of iron oxide and reduced graphene oxide. A simple cost-effective and one-step hydrothermal approach was employed, for the first time, using a combination of two reducing agents, namely urea and starch. The formation of composite materials was characterised using scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The electrochemical characteristics of the as-manufactured composite materials were explored using cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge tests. It was found that the iron oxide–reduced graphene oxide composite prepared by using two reducing agents exhibits higher specific capacitance (286.6 F g− 1) at scan rate of 5 mV s− 1in 1M KOH solution. In this study, the structural, morphological and electrical properties of aluminium antimonide (AlSb) samples irradiated with 500,1000,1500,2000 shots of GAMKrF Excimer laser (248 nm, 25 mJ, 20 ns) under vacuum ~10-5torr were investigated. AlSb samples were prepared by standard powder metallurgy method. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis showed that the crystal size of AlSb increased upto 1000 laser shots and with the further increase in laser shots decreased due to the occurrence of recrystallization. Surface morphology revealed that surface was non-uniform and rough. Laser irradiation on AlSb samples produced effects like one formation, needle like structures, flacks, ripple formation and non symmetric heat flow. The electrical properties of AlSb showed that the average resistivity increased by increasing the number of laser shots. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
