The kinetic parameters of the process of regeneration of a carbonate-sulfate melt with natural gas (reaction (1)) and a mixture of natural gas with air (reaction (2)) are determined in this work. It is shown that the mechanism of the process is described by a first-order equation. The activation energy of reaction (2) is four times lower than the activation energy of reaction (1). It has been established that the removal of sulfur from a carbonate-sulfate melt by bubbling with a mixture of natural gas and air can easily be carried out in the operating temperature range of an absorption column for purifying exhaust gases. The developed technology can become a practical and economical method of utilization of poor in sulfur content flue gases of thermal power plants and metallurgical enterprises., В настоящей работе определены кинетические параметры процесса регенерации карбонатно-сульфатного расплава природным газом (реакция (1)) и смесью природного газа с воздухом (реакция (2)). Показано, что механизм процесса описывается уравнением первого порядка. Энергия активации реакции (2) в четыре раза ниже энергии активации реакции (1). Установлено, что удаление серы из карбонатно-сульфатного расплава путем барботирования смесью природного газа с воздухом легко может быть осуществлено в диапазоне рабочих температур абсорбционной колонны очистки отходящих газов. The article considers the behavior of iron and lead compounds and their effect on the oxygen content in copper-lead mattes. The substantiation is given for the statement that the consideration of copper-lead matte in the form of a quasi-triple Cu2S PbS FeS system does not seem to be correct. When studying the thermodynamics of copper-lead mattes, it is necessary to take into account the oxygen content and the form of its presence in mattes. Such an approach allows the most comprehensive assessment of the behavior of copper, lead, arsenic and antimony in the process of converting copper-lead mattes. The oxidation mechanism of iron and lead sulfide and their mutual in- fluence on the formation of wustite and magnetite are shown based on the results of thermodynamic analysis. The Gibbs energy of the oxidation reactions of FeS and PbS was calculated.

The article discusses the solubility of copper and lead in slag during mine blast smelting of intermediate products and recycled materials of lead production. The statement regarding the dependence of the solubility of copper and lead in slags from the composition of matte, slag, temperature and oxygen partial pressure is substantiated. Based on the mathematical processing of industrial and experimental data on the equilibrium of the copper-lead matte-slag-gas phase system, the dependences of the solubility of copper and lead from the composition of the slag, temperature, and PO2 are established. It was found that increase in temperature increases the solubility of copper and lead in slag. The shift of the partial pressure of oxygen towards the reducing atmosphere increases the growth of dissolved losses of lead, and vice versa, reduces the dissolved losses of copper to slag. Multiple correlation equations are generated that make it possible to predict the solubility of copper and lead in slags depending from the composition of the slag, temperature, and oxygen partial pressure, These equations can be used to control the process of mine contractile smelting of intermediate products and recycled materials of lead production.
