Teaching English speaking has become a centre of attention among scholars and teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) practitioners for a few decades. However, the issue of teaching English speaking in "Kampung Inggris"/English Village remains under-researched, notably viewed from the tutors' challenges and solutions in the Indonesian English as a foreign language (EFL) milieu. This study addressed this gap. Two English tutors from "Kampung Inggris"/English Village got involved as the participants. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed with thematic analysis. The findings reported that there were five challenges encountered by tutors when teaching English speaking, namely tutors' inability of exploring English language teaching materials, tutors' insufficient English vocabulary, tutors' ineffective time management during language teaching practices, demotivated tutees to learn English, and perceived teaching anxiety. In addition, the tutors stipulated four solutions to cope with such challenges, namely building a good rapport between tutor and tutees, tutors' self-motivation to English vocabulary enrichment, selecting appropriate and providing updated English language teaching materials, and motivating English language tutees. Therefore, teaching English speaking should not only rely on immersing students in fluency-based activities but also manage tutees' psychological factors to attain more effective teaching English speaking objectives.

Internal dissonance and disagreement with significant others over career goals can disrupt career progress. Based on goal setting and self-regulation theories, this study tested the relationships between self and parent career goal discrepancy (gap between what is desired and what is achieved) and career goal adjustment (career compromise and goal revision intentions) directly and indirectly via negative emotions (self- and parent-referenced career distress and regret). We surveyed 315 young adult students (76.5% women; M[subscript Age] 19.52 years) recruited from a single multi-campus Australian university. Using structural equation modelling (maximum likelihood estimation), we found that higher self and parent career goal discrepancies were associated with higher compromise and intention to downgrade career goals. Further, self- and parent-referenced emotional responses partially explained the discrepancy to goal adjustment relationships. The findings have implications for how career theories incorporate self- and other-set career goal disruptions and should help counsellors assist young people, particularly in a strongly individualist, but multicultural, country such as Australia, to understand and manage their tendencies to compromise or downgrade their career goals.

Background: Early detection of diseases like tuberculosis (TB) and diabetes mellitus (DM) is critical for preventive healthcare. However, integrating effective screening programs within existing workflows can be challenging. Objective: This study explores the feasibility and impact of integrating an electronic screening system (ESS) within electronic medical records (EMRs) in private primary care settings. The pilot study focuses on ScreenMy, an ESS engine designed for bi-directional TB-DM screening. Methods: A pilot study investigated the integration process of ScreenMy into an EMR system. Interviews with developers assessed factors like installation ease, flexibility, and impact on the EMR's functionality. Findings: The findings revealed a smooth integration process due to ScreenMy's external design (requiring only plugin injection) and clear documentation. The integration maintained EMR performance and efficiency, enhanced the developer experience, and offered flexibility for customization. Developers, unfamiliar with prior integrated screening systems, found ScreenMy user-friendly and expressed interest in further system flexibility concerning data privacy. Conclusion: This investigation highlights the potential for seamless integration of screening systems like ScreenMy within EMRs. This paves the way for improved preventive healthcare delivery in primary care settings.

This study discusses evaluating employee performance in microbiology laboratories using an association matrix implemented in web-based software with the Streamlit framework. The purpose of the research is to improve the employee performance evaluation process, which previously used conventional methods. This software is built from a sample receipt recording history data stored in a MySQL database. The initially unstructured data was processed using Python libraries such as NumPy, Matplotlib, Pandas, and Difflib to generate personnel evaluation information such as specialization, task duration, workload, and individual competencies. This software can provide a fast and accurate performance assessment according to the evaluation period. In a test with the System Usability Scale (SUS), the software scored 75.83, which was rated "good.". These results show that the software is easy to use and can improve the efficiency of employee performance evaluation. Follow-up tests with questionnaires given to 18 users showed that this system was preferable to previous conventional methods. This software helps laboratory managers evaluate employee performance effectively and efficiently.

Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara inovasi hijau, daya saing, dan kinerja keuangan pada usaha kerajinan ultra-mikro dan mikro di Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan survei kuantitatif eksploratori, data dari 403 pemilik dan manajer usaha dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur, mencakup demografi dan variabel kunci yang dinilai dengan skala Likert. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan PLS-SEM melalui Smart-PLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi hijau secara signifikan meningkatkan daya saing, meskipun tidak secara langsung memperbaiki kinerja keuangan. Daya saing memediasi hubungan antara inovasi hijau dan hasil keuangan, dengan internasionalisasi memperkuat efek ini. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan investasi dalam inovasi hijau dan internasionalisasi untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan keberhasilan keuangan. Wawasan ini sangat penting bagi pemilik usaha dan pembuat kebijakan untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan dan daya saing di pasar global yang semakin kompetitif.

Duku (Lansium domesticum) is an endemic plant in Indonesia with various benefits and distinctive tastes that many people favor. Duku originating from Kudus is known as Duku Sumber, one of the five superior duku varieties. The problem encountered today is the decreasing number of Duku Sumber plants due to land use change, and there has been no effort to increase the plant population. Information on land suitability as a basis for developing crops does not yet exist, so data about land suitability will be used as information on the wider distribution of planting areas in Kudus. This study aimed to evaluate the suitability and land use of Duku Sumber plants in the Kudus Regency. Geographic information systems and matching methods were applied to map the distribution of land suitability for Duku Sumber. The results showed that the potential and actual land suitability class for Duku Sumber are very suitable (S1) and quite suitable (S2) for the Jekulo, Hadipolo, Tenggeles, Golantepus, and Megawon areas, while the slightly suitable (S3) are Klaling, Ngembalrejo, Mejobo and Jati Wetan. The availability of nutrients (na) for nitrogen and potassium is the dominant limiting factor in this area. Nitrogen content in Jati Wetan (0.12%), Klaling (0.19%), and Hadiwarno (0.19%), while potassium content in Ngembalrejo (16.47 ppm) and Mejobo (18.57 ppm). Limitations in this area can be overcome by adding nitrogen and potassium fertilizers to become suitable land.

The industrial revolution 4.0 which is occurring rapidly has resulted in changes in various fields, IoT is a technology that is currently widely used to automate processes in everyday life. In this research, IoT was used to monitor the development of goat livestock in Dermaji village. The problem with IoT development is that when you want to display data or results obtained, IoT does not work well if the information displayed is less interactive and difficult for end users to understand, so a solution needs to be created to display the results obtained by developing website and mobile-based applications. The aim of this research is to integrate an IoT platform with Android mobile-based websites and applications by implementing a RESTful web service API. Web and mobile application development uses the RAD method which consists of several stages, namely the design stage of system requirements, system design and implementation into a programming language. In integrating IoT with websites and mobile, RESTful web service technology is applied. The result of this research is an IoT platform that is integrated with website and Android mobile based applications.

Background: Low Vision is an end-stage condition that cannot be cured. The best treatment for low vision is the early detection. However, there is still no integrated low vision data in health services, the lack of public knowledge about low vision, the low rate of case discovery, and the lack of optimal referral and treatment mechanisms for low vision are problems that must be addressed at this time. Purpose: This study aims to detect early low vision determinant factors using a self-assessment application. Methods: This study is analytical and quantitative research. Respondents for this research were from five selected populations in East Java who filled out the e-SIGALON application from September to December 2023. The respondents were suspected as having low vision if they had score of 6 or higher. The variables were analyzed using logistic binary regression, the validity and reliability test was also performed. Results: From 446 respondents, there were 237 people (53.14%) suspected of low vision but only 66 people came to referral hospital. This study aims to determine the influence of environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and governance practice disclosures on the financial performance of non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2012 to 2021. It employs moderated regression analysis and sub-group regression to explain the relationships between the variables. The results suggest a surprising finding that the indicators of environmental responsibility and governance disclosure practices lead to a decline in corporate financial performance, while the social responsibility indicator does not significantly affect corporate financial performance. Expenditures resulting from ESG practices can be perceived as a misuse of corporate resources, a missed opportunity, or, alternatively, as an overinvestment. However, the decline in performance due to environmental responsibility disclosure and governance practices can be mitigated by companies that engage in internationalisation. To sustain environmental, social, and governance activities over the long term, managers are required to deliver consistently increasing and higher financial performance.

Background: Good nutritional status, normal hemoglobin levels, and adequate iron consumption will help a person achieve good physical fitness. Lack of iron consumption causes a decrease in hemoglobin production. Low levels of hemoglobin cause disruption of oxygen transport to whole body associated with energy production. Malnutrition or excess nutritional status causes a person to have difficulty moving, which results in a lower level of physical fitness. Objectives: To determine the relationship between iron consumption, hemoglobin level and nutritional status on the physical fitness of female adolescents. Methods: The study used a cross-sectional design, with total sample of 65 respondents. The data were nutritional status from BMI/U, hemoglobin levels using the Easytouch GCHb (Glucose, Cholesterol, and Hemoglobin) tool, iron consumption using food recall, and physical fitness measured using beep test. Bivariate analysis was measured by Gamma correlation test and ordinal logistic regression test for multivariate analysis. Results: Most of respondents had good nutritional status (55.4%), normal hemoglobin levels (69.2%), good iron consumption (58.5%), and sufficient physical fitness (60%). The results of bivariate analysis showed that nutritional status did not correlate with physical fitness (p=0.905). Meanwhile, hemoglobin level and iron consumption correlated with physical fitness (p=0.004). Multivariate analysis explained that hemoglobin levels had a 1.73 effect on physical fitness compared to iron intake which influenced physical fitness by 1.1 times. Conclusions: There is a correlation between iron consumption and hemoglobin levels with physical fitness. There is no correlation between nutritional status and physical fitness.

Mobile Health (mHealth) use is expected to promote public health and has been viewed as a possible solution for the management of the COVID-19 outbreak since 2020. However, the use of m-heath in those countries, including Indonesia, is not as expected, probably due to low acceptance and willingness to use mHealth. This study observed the influence of trust, health belief, and technology acceptance on the intention to use mHealth in Indonesia for both users and non-users. A total of 616 respondents, with a balanced number of users and non-users of mHealth, voluntarily participated in this study by filling out a questionnaire. The questionnaire was developed based on a conceptual model integrating trust, health belief model, and technology acceptance. A total of 34 questions were administered based on the conceptual model. A five-Likert scale was used to measure the answers. Interesting findings showed that among the non-users of mHealth, perceived usefulness influenced the intention to use mHealth more than that among those who actually used the technology. Among the users of mHealth, perceived ease of use influenced the intention to use the technology more than that among the non-users. The effect of trust was not shown to be significant. In general, intention to use mHealth in Indonesia was significantly influenced by perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived health risk.

This research explores the potential of gastronomic tourism in the Lake Toba region of Indonesia, focusing on the unique culinary identity and traditions of the Batak tribe. Batak culinary practices are firmly rooted in local traditions and environmental conditions, with major traditional foods and drinks such as Tuak, Na Niura, and Mie Gomak having strong cultural values. Currently, Lake Toba gastronomic tourism has not become a leading tourism destination. The purpose of this study is to examine how environmental and cultural factors affect local cuisine and beverages in the Lake Toba region and to identify challenges and opportunities in promoting these gastronomic assets effectively. This qualitative research uses interviews, observations, and documentation to collect data. Key stakeholders, including local business owners and Batak cultural experts were interviewed using non-probability snowball sampling to gain comprehensive insights into the region's culinary identity. The results of the study highlight the cultural significance and potential tourist attraction of traditional Batak food and beverages. However, challenges such as tourists' lack of knowledge about local cuisine were identified. The study shows that a more structured and strategic approach, including annual food festivals and culinary tours, is needed to increase the demand for Lake Toba's Gatronomi tourism. This study underscores the need for an annual Lake Toba Gastronomy festival to utilize local culinary heritage, thereby increasing cultural preservation and tourism development in the Lake Toba region.

The infrastructure development program planned by the Joko Widodo administration in several regions, especially in Purbalingga and Tegal, displaced several waqf lands. This study analyzes the process of waqf exchange in the project from the perspective of the four madhhabs. This research uses a comparative approach by comparing several opinions of the scholars of the fiqh schools of thought on waqf swaps on the same side and, at the same time, also explaining the different sides. What is interesting in the discussion is the solution offered by replacing the waqf land with other land, even though Waqf has a primary principle in its administration, namely, the principle of Waqf must remain eternal (ta'bid al-asl). The theory of benefit becomes an analytical tool for developing a mindset regarding waqf exchange. This research yields the following conclusions. First, waqf management can change according to the public interest as long as the purpose of the Waqf is still to the expectations of the Waqf. Second, waqf exchange is the best solution when there is no other way, as long as the replacement is at least the previous Waqf.

Fatherlessness is a phenomenon that can have various negative impacts on children's development into adulthood. The absence of a father's role, especially for women, means that individuals do not have appropriate role models in enforcing discipline and implementing principles. This can become problematic behavior and has the potential to lead to crime. This research aims to explore the image of fatherlessness among female prisoners. This research uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach involving several women who are prisoners at the class IIA Palembang Penitentiary. Semi-structured in-depth interview methods, unstructured observation, and member checking. Data obtained from the field will be analyzed using interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) techniques. The results of this research found main themes: lack of affection, longing for a father figure and hope for family unity.

Rusunawa Gulon merupakan salah satu rusunawa di Kabupaten Magelang yang ditujukan untuk memberikan akses hunian bagi masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah. Hingga tahun 2019, pemanfaatan rusunawa tidak berjalan secara optimal dilihat dari kondisi sebagian unit yang kosong. Permasalahan tersebut kemudian mendasari untuk dilakukannya penelitian dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya preferensi Masyarakat Berpenghasilan Rendah (MBR) terhadap Rusunawa Gulon. Dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif berupa skoring dengan data dari kuesioner yang dikumpulkan dari 30 kepala keluarga Masyarakat MBR. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedekatan lokasi dengan tempat kerja dan fasilitas sosial, kemudahan aksesibilitas, kenyamanan, keamanan, serta keterjangkauan harga bukan merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya preferensi masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah terhadap Rusunawa Gulon. Namun, diperoleh faktor lain yang kemungkinan dapat mempengaruhi rendahnya preferensi masyarakat tersebut meliputi faktor kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap rusunawa, kondisi sosial budaya masyarakat, serta sistem sewa rusunawa.

This article discusses the existence of aesthetics in traditional batik colors in Tuban, East Java, Indonesia, which is reflected in the appreciation of the deep values in the activity of making cloth. Batik colors have been one of the foundations for producing traditional identity values belonging to the Tuban community and have been preserved for generations. However, the existence of this aesthetic is gradually experiencing degradation due to some disruptions, such as modernity, trends, and technology, which has led to transformation. The purpose of the study is to interpret the relationship between the weakening of the existence of aesthetics in traditional Tuban batik colors and the daily behavior patterns of people in current conditions. The research method was conducted using a phenomenological approach, and it is reviewed based on the principle of memetics theory to find out the factors that cause this phenomenon. It is essential to produce a conclusion to enrich fundamental knowledge in understanding the causes of transformation in the aesthetic existence of a tradition so that it becomes the basis for consideration in taking transformative action to preserve the tradition.

The purpose of writing this article isto analyze the validity and legal protection of buying and selling certified land in the form of non-fungible tokens through a marketplace application. This study uses a normative juridical method with a statutory and regulatory approach and a contextual approach. Buying and selling certified land in the form of non-fungible tokens through a marketplace application is a policy reconstruction that can be realized. The sale and purchase of certified land in the form of non-fungible tokens through the marketplace application has fulfilled the legal requirements for a sale and purchase agreement as regulated in Article 1320 of the Civil Code and Article 46 paragraph (2) of Government Regulation Number 71 of 2019, namely the existence of agreement, skill , objects and causes that do not conflict with morality, consent and laws and regulations. Dental implants offer a reliable solution for replacing damaged tooth roots. This research investigates the comparative performance of acetone and methanol as suspension media in the fabrication of stainless steel type 316L-based dental implants using the Electrophoretic Deposition (EPD) method, a technique known for its simplicity and cost-effectiveness. Voltage variations of 20V, 30V, and 40V were applied to both acetone and methanol suspensions for a duration of 20 minutes. The morphology of the Hydroxyapatite/Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube (HA/MWCNT) coatings was meticulously characterized using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Corrosion resistance was evaluated through Potentiodynamic Polarization (PDP) and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) techniques. Remarkably, at 30V, a homogeneous and crack-free coating was achieved, demonstrating superior corrosion resistance. This was further corroborated by the resistance values of 23.891 Ω and 114.990 Ω for the acetone and methanol samples, respectively. Additionally, the corrosion rates of 0.075 (mmpy) and 0.0004 (mmpy) for the acetone and methanol samples further emphasized the superiority of methanol as a suspension medium. These findings unequivocally establish methanol as the optimal choice for achieving superior deposition quality and corrosion resistance in the context of the EPD method for stainless steel type 316L-based dental implants.

Background: Tuberculosis-diabetes mellitus (TB-DM) is a co-epidemic condition representing a double burden for high TB burden countries like Indonesia. Private primary care (PPC) in Indonesia was newly reintroduced to the TB program. Aims: This study explores the challenges PPC healthcare workers (HCWs) face in implementing TB-DM bi-directional screening and strategies to improve it. Methods: An explorative qualitative method was used by conducting two-round focus group discussions (FGDs) with HCWs (n=15) from five private clinics in Yogyakarta Special Region Province Indonesia and triangulated with 10 DM patients and the TB program manager from the provincial health office. The data were audio recorded, transcribed verbatim, and subjected to thematic analysis. Results: HCWs face complex barriers in TB-DM co-screening implementation from patients, HCWs, and health system aspects. An integrated system to remind, support decision-making, report, reduce documentation duplication, monitor, and evaluate co-screening implementation emerged as a potential strategy, although some challenges to deploy. Conclusion: Albeit HIS is promising in enhancing integrated TB-DM screening and management, a comprehensive approach and multisector roles are still needed to overcome impediments to TB-DM bidirectional screening in PPCs. Small and medium businesses in East Java as a mainstay sector in labor absorption tend to fluctuate. The problem in this research is how the number of business units, investment and minimum wages correlate with labor absorption in the small and medium enterprise sector in East Java Province. The aim of this research is to analyze the number of business units, investment and minimum wages on labor absorption in the small and medium business sector in East Java Province. The research results obtained by correlation testing the number of SMEs have a significant positive relationship to the labor absorption, investment has a significant positive relationship to the labor absorption and the minimum wage also has a significant positive relationship to the labor absorption. The results of this research indicate that SMEs managers should provide direct credit financing facilities. both bureaucratic and according to the interest rates given, so that government investment which tends to be more capital intensive can be absorbed by SMEs well as well as business training, books and the internet in searching for market information and business management methods so that their businesses can develop more effectively.

Nagari Cupak is a sub-district in Solok Regency with a big rice field that can be developed to increase farmers’ wealth. The development of rice field potential in Nagari Cupak can be conducted with agricultural extension to farmers. One of the outreach topics that can deliver to farmers is the importance of the efficient functioning of farmer groups (as a learning class, as production units, and as a place to cooperate). In this situation, the topic regarding conserving water and soil in rice fields for efficient rice production in Nagari Cupak is another one that may be discussed with farmers. The agricultural extension was carried out in Jorong Panyalai, Nagari Cupak, Gunung Talang District, on Thursday, 10 August 2023. The method used in community service is the lecture method. Furthermore, it continued with a question-and-answer session. The object of this community service is to join farmer groups in Nagari Cupak, which consists of 18 farmer groups. These activities showed that the farmers did not optimise the group’s function because they only used it as a gathering place. Farmer groups also shared the issues they frequently encountered, and solutions were offered. In addition, agricultural extension activities were continued with practice regarding soil and water conservation on land provided by the Nagari Cupak Government. The farmers’ persistence can be seen in their enthusiasm for this extension activity until the end of the extension. In order to enable farmers to practice soil and water conservation on their own, they also requested that Extension Officers continue to support them.

West Nusa Tenggara Province has an infant mortality rate that surpasses the national average. Additionally, it is also characterized as having a high Gini ratio and gender inequality index. Therefore, this study aims to examine the differences in classification among different regions, the long-term and short-term impact, and the causal relationship between socio-economic factors and female indicators in relation to infant mortality. This study used the co-integration method of the panel VECM and applied the natural breaks (Jenks) classification method based on panel data from 10 regencies/cities in West Nusa Tenggara Province between 2012 and 2022. This study discovered two instances of co-integration where the life expectancy of women was found to have a negative impact, while the percentage of women working full-time was found to have a positive impact on the long-term infant mortality rate. Infant mortality rates in the short term showed a significant relationship with the cointegration coefficient, mean years of schooling of women, life expectancy of women, and percentage of women working full-time. There is a direct causal relationship between the mean years of schooling of women and the percentage of people living in poverty and the infant mortality rate. This study is expected to serve as a basis to guide the Government of West Nusa Tenggara Province in promoting equity in education, equal job opportunities, adequate healthcare facilities, and increased investment to decrease infant mortality.

الملخص: أهداف البحث: تهدف الدراسة لتحديد محتوى البروتين الكلي، ونشاط مضادات الأكسدة، والقدرة الوقائية لمفرزات الخلايا الجذعية الوسيطة اللثوية البشرية في نموذج الإجهاد التأكسدي الناجم عن بيروكسيد الهيدروجين. طريقة البحث: تمت زراعة الخلايا الجذعية الوسيطة اللثوية البشرية للحصول على وسط مشروط (مفرزات)، ثم تم تجفيفها بالتجميد لإنتاج مفرزات مجففة بالتجميد. تم تحديد البروتين الكلي عن طريق فحص حمض البيكينكونيك والرحلان الكهربائي لهلام بولي أكريلاميد دوديسيل كبريتات الصوديوم لتحسين قياسات البروتين. تم قياس تركيز مضادات الأكسدة بواسطة اختبار ''أ بي تي اس''، في حين تم تحديد القدرة الوقائية للمفرزات المجففة بالتجميد ضد الإجهاد التأكسدي من خلال النشاط الأيضي لخلايا بانية العظم. تم تقسيم مجموعة الدراسة إلى مجموعة مراقبة (مستنبت) ومجموعة علاج المفرزات المجففة بالتجميد. النتائج: تحتوي المفرزات المجففة بالتجميد على تركيز بروتين يبلغ 2086.00 ± 0.20 ميكروغرام/مل، مع وزن جزيئي يبلغ 174، 74، 61، 55، و26 كيلو دالتون، والتي يعتقد أنها تسهل هجرة الخلايا، فضلا عن ربط السيتوكينات وعوامل النمو. كما قدمت المفرزات المجففة بالتجميد أعلى نشاط مضاد للأكسدة بنسبة 93.51% بتركيز 4.8 مجم/مل، مع قيمة تركيز مثبط50 تبلغ 2.08 مجم/مل. وقد ظهر أعلى نشاط استقلابي للخلية في مجموعة العلاج بالمفرزات المجففة بالتجميد 1.25 ملغم/مل. جميع تركيزات المفرزات المجففة بالتجميد للخلايا الجذعية الوسيطة اللثوية البشرية - تخفف من التأثير الضار للإجهاد التأكسدي الناجم عن بيروكسيد الهيدروجين. الاستنتاجات: يمكن أن تحافظ المفرزات المجففة بالتجميد التي تم الحصول عليها من الخلايا الجذعية الوسيطة اللثوية البشرية على النشاط الأيضي في خلايا بانيات العظم كحماية ضد إجهاد بيروكسيد الهيدروجين. Abstract: Objective: To determine total protein content, antioxidant activity, and protective ability of lyophilized human gingival mesenchymal stem cells (hGMSCs)-secretome in hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) induced oxidative stress model. Methods: Human GMSCs were cultured to obtain a conditioned medium (secretome), then lyophilized to produce lyosecretome. Total protein was determined by bicinchoninic acid assay (BCA) and SDS-PAGE to improve protein measurements. Antioxidant concentration was measured by ABTS assay, while the protective ability of lyosecretome against oxidative stress was determined by the metabolic activity of osteoblast cells. The study group was divided into a control group (culture medium) and a lyosecretome treatment group (0.0; 0.157, 0.313, 0.625, 1.25, 2.5, 5, and 10 mg/mL + H2O2). Results: Lyosecretome had a protein concentration of 2086.00 ± 0.20 μg/ml, with a molecular weight of 174, 74, 61, 55, and 26 kDa, which are thought to facilitate cell migration, as well as bind cytokines and growth factors. Lyosecretome also provided the highest antioxidant activity of 93.51% at a concentration of 4.8 mg/ml, with an IC50 value of 2.08 mg/ml. The highest cell metabolic activity (79.53 ± 2.41%) was shown in the 1.25 mg/ml lyosecretome treatment group. All concentrations of hGMSC-lyosecretome attenuate the adverse effect of H2O2-induced oxidative stress. Conclusion: Lyosecretome obtained from hGMSCs can maintain metabolic activity in osteoblast cells as protection against H2O2 oxidative stress.

This descriptive research aimed to know students' problem-solving ability in arithmetic operations on algebra forms through an Indonesian realistic mathematics education, namely Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI), approach in secondary school number 17 Palembang. The learning process, material, and assessment used were principles and characteristics of PMRI. The data collection technique was done by two students' activities and the written test to measure students' problem-solving abilities. The written test, which referred to the indicators of problem-solving ability, was given after the learning process. This study's findings indicate that Palembang's context helps students comprehend algebraic arithmetic operations. The principles and characteristics of PMRI play an essential role in enhancing students' problem-solving skills. To conclude, students develop and solve problems by modeling based on their mathematical ideas. In addition, students must be able to develop problem-solving strategies in which they employ a variety of procedures.

This research attempts to unravel the various dynamics governing BPHTB. This research focuses on examining two issues, namely (1) the ratio legis of PPJB regulation as the object of BPHTB and the implications of PPJB as the object of BPHTB after the issuance of Law 1/22 which amended the previous BPHTB Law as a whole. In this paper, it is found that there are several reasons that make PPJB as the object of BPHTB, namely: (1) based on the social function of land based on the agrarian law regime, so that every acquisition of land rights is taxed which is used as a net regional income; (2) the imposition of BPHTB on PPJB as an increase in regional income; (3) from the nature of PPJB as a binding transaction and as a marker of a legal event which is then followed by the making of AJB as the basis for the acquisition of land rights. Second, the implications of BPHTB for the changes in the original regulation in the PDRD Law which was later revoked by the 2022 HKPD Law, have made several changes that affect the legal certainty of taxpayers in paying BPHTB. There is an antinomy in regulating the time payable and payment of BPHTB to the local government. The time payable arrangement as the basis for payment is made after the signing of the sale and purchase deed. However, the payment arrangement states otherwise, namely at the time the sale and purchase deed is signed. However, on the other hand, the regulation also requires the notary to request proof of payment before the signature of the sale and purchase deed. The difference in provisions on the time payable and the deadline for payment affects the legal certainty of the sale and purchase process, and is not in accordance with the meaning of BPHTB as a duty paid after the acquisition of land rights. In addition to the implications that arise for taxpayers, the above arrangements also affect the legal certainty of notaries / PPATs who carry out their duties which are overshadowed by sanctions if they sign the deed before BPHTB is paid in full. The research method used in this writing is normative juridical research method, using three types of approaches, namely historical approach, legislative approach and conceptual approach. The urgency of implementing tax collection on deeds of acquisition of land rights known as BPHTB is to emphasise the social function of land through tax collection carried out by the government. PHTB on PPJB is one of the sources of local revenue used to organise local government and third, namely from the nature of PPJB which is an agreement that binds both parties to the certainty of the transaction being carried out, as the initial act of the legal event of sale and purchase in question.

The legal issue is motivated by the existence of arrangements related to the dismissal of PPAT with respect contained in Article 10 paragraph (2) letter B which states that PPAT can be dismissed with respect from his position because he is no longer able to carry out his duties due to the state of his health or mental health, after being declared by the authorized health examination team at the request of the Minister/Head or appointed official. The problem then is how when there is a PPAT who is dismissed with respect for health reasons in accordance with Article 10 paragraph (2) letter b, then the PPAT in question successfully recovers from his illness. The purpose of this study was to analyze and find whether PPAT that was dismissed with respect due to health problems can be reappointed after being declared cured and formulate future regulatory formulations related to PPAT dismissal regulations due to health problems. This research uses normative juridical research method, legislation research approach and conceptual approach, and legal materials used consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials obtained through literature studies in the library of the Faculty of law, Universitas Brawijaya, and also internet access. The results of this study were analyzed by the method of legal discovery, namely the method of interpretation and construction. The results of this study are PPAT dismissed with respect in accordance with Article 10 paragraph (2) letter B PP No. 24 of 2016 if the PPAT has recovered, it still cannot be reappointed to his position as PPAT because there are no rules governing it. This would have been contrary to the theory of legal certainty according to Nurhasanah Ismail. For the formulation of future arrangements related to PPAT dismissal regulations due to health problems can be constructed into a new provision that PPAT who experience health problems, changed from the previous one dismissed with respect, is changed to become a temporary dismissal.

IntroductionUntargeted metabolomics is often used in studies that aim to trace the metabolic profile in a broad context, with the data-dependent acquisition (DDA) mode being the most commonly used method. However, this approach has the limitation that not all detected ions are fragmented in the data acquisition process, in addition to the lack of specificity regarding the process of fragmentation of biological signals. The present work aims to extend the detection of biological signals and contribute to overcoming the fragmentation limits of the DDA mode with a dynamic procedure that combines experimental and in silico approaches.MethodsMetabolomic analysis was performed on three different species of actinomycetes using liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry. The data obtained were preprocessed by the MZmine software and processed by the custom package RegFilter.Results and DiscussionRegFilter allowed the coverage of the entire chromatographic run and the selection of precursor ions for fragmentation that were previously missed in DDA mode. Most of the ions selected by the tool could be annotated through three levels of annotation, presenting biologically relevant candidates. In addition, the tool offers the possibility of creating local spectral libraries curated according to the user’s interests. Thus, the adoption of a dynamic analysis flow using RegFilter allowed for detection optimization and curation of potential biological signals, previously absent in the DDA mode, being a good complementary approach to the current mode of data acquisition. In addition, this workflow enables the creation and search of in-house tailored custom libraries.

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk membantu para guru di lingkungan Al Qalam Citra Indah dalam menemukan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang diri mereka sendiri melalui metode coaching. Dengan memanfaatkan teknik Point of You, para peserta diharapkan dapat mengidentifikasi potensi, kekuatan, dan area yang perlu dikembangkan dalam diri mereka. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini melibatkan sesi coaching berbasis kelompok, di mana setiap kelompok terdiri dari 2 kelompok orang guru. Para peserta diajak untuk melalui proses refleksi yang dipandu oleh fasilitator, menggunakan alat visual sebagai stimulus untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai perspektif. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa setiap kelompok berhasil menemukan wawasan baru mengenai diri mereka, dengan peserta melaporkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri dan motivasi. Secara keseluruhan, para guru mendapatkan manfaat signifikan dari kegiatan ini, termasuk kemampuan untuk lebih memahami diri mereka sendiri, serta kesiapan untuk mengaplikasikan wawasan yang diperoleh dalam konteks pengajaran. Kegiatan ini menekankan pentingnya keterlibatan aktif para guru dalam proses pengembangan diri, yang berdampak langsung pada kualitas pendidikan di komunitas mereka.

One way to measure micro-small-medium enterprises’ (MSMEs) performance is by analyzing how they manage their financial reporting, that comply with the accounting standard for micro, small, medium entity (MSMEs), i.e. the Standar Akuntansi Keuangan Entitas Mikro Kecil Menengah (SAK EMKM). The standard performance was published in january 1, 2018. MSMEs in Madiun city area are one of MSME’s should implement this SAK. This research attempts to find the relationship between MSEMs financial management based on SAK EMKM and MSEMs performance. This study based on observation, survey, interview, and questionnaire. The questionnaire were distributed of 100 MSMEs owners in the City of Madiun, East Java, Indonesia. The analysis method use descriptive analysis and simple linier regresion. The results show that MSMEs owners believe that adherence to SAK-EMKM is very important for their business conducts. The analysis also shows that there is a significant effect of reporting and performance.

Nonformal Pasraman, as a Hindu religious educational institution, plays a crucial role in enhancing the faith and devotion of Hindu adherents. However, it faces various challenges that impact the quality of learning. This study analyzes the implementation and development of religious moderation values in the curriculum and materials of Pasraman, the role of Pasraman in implementing moderation, and the potential development of Hindu-based learning models. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data from observations, interviews, and documentation from all Pasraman in Central Lombok. The data were reduced, displayed, and verificated narratively. The findings indicate that religious moderation values in Pasraman are indirectly taught through Hindu teachings such as Dharma, Tat Twam Asi, and Tri Hita Karana, which support the role of Pasraman in moderation. This role is further strengthened through the optimal application of the Tri Kaya Parisudha teachings by the acaryas. Pasraman possesses advantages in terms of demography, foundation licenses, and Hindu teachings that support character formation. However, it also faces weaknesses, such as limited teaching staff, facilities, and management. Potential development includes the provision of teaching materials, learning methods, and the establishment of district-level organizations as discussion forums.

Brown rice is a functional food known to improve the Lee Index, influencing PRDM16 levels in obesity conditions. Therefore, this study aims to determine the differences in Lee Index, Brown Adipose Tissue (BAT) weight, White Adipose Tissue (WAT) weight, BeAT weight, total body fat, and PRDM16 levels of obese model rats with the intervention of brown and white rice, as well as ℽ-oryzanol. A true experimental method was used with a post-test-only control group in vivo design. The obesity model was constructed with male Sprague Dawley rats (Rattus norvegicus), divided into five diet groups namely standard and HFHF diet control, as well as HFHF + brown rice, HFHF + white rice, and HFHF + ℽ-oryzanol combination diet. The experiment was carried out for 26 weeks, with details of 14 weeks to form an obese model and 12 weeks for the intervention. Before statistical correlation was tested, Lee index values, adipose tissues, and PRDM16 were analyzed. The anthropometric data collection method was carried out by weighing before and after the intervention, while adipose tissue was collected by weighing after sacrifice. The immunofluorescence method was used to collect the expression of PRDM16 and the mean of PRDM16 levels was analyzed in the ImageJ application. After the data collection process, analysis was performed using SPSS to determine possible differences in each group. Storytelling pada desain kemasan dapat mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian dan memperkuat brand image sehingga dapat menjadi taktik pemasaran produk. Desain label kemasan Jagad Sambel dirancang dengan penerapan teori semiotika dan menghasilkan desain kemasan ilustratif dengan elemen storytelling. Untuk mengetahui proses semiosis dalam desain kemasan Jagad Sambel dilakukan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis semiotika model triadik Charles Sanders Peirce. Objek yang diamati adalah desain label kemasan Jagad Sambel varian sambal cumi yang kemudian dilakukan analisis semiotika visual pada logo, ilustrasi, copywriting, dan warna. Adapun tingkat semiotik di mana proses semiosis terjadi dalam desain kemasan Jagad Sambel dapat digambarkan dalam: 1) gambar yang mudah diidentifikasi, penggunan copywriting dalam bahasa Indonesia yang mudah dipahami, dan pengaturan tata letak elemen-elemen desain yang terstruktur; 2) relasi antara ilustrasi, logo, dan copywriting yang mengandung makna pesan berupa brand positioning; 3) penggunaan gaya bahasa sehari-hari dan penggunaan flat illustration dengan warna cerah ilustrasi yang disesuaikan dengan segmentasi target anak muda, dan makna desain kemasan secara keseluruhan yaitu memberi persepsi Jagad Sambel adalah produk sambel pedas untuk anak muda yang dapat memberi keberanian untuk menghadapi tantangan. Penerapan semiotika dalam proses perancangan storytelling pada desain kemasan dapat membantu menciptakan interpretasi yang jelas dan tidak multipersepsi.

The use of e-wallets has an impact on the ease of transactions. Various kinds of transactions can be done through this application. However, despite the convenience offered, e-wallet adoption remains low. This study aims to determine what factors influence the determinants of mobile e-wallet adoption across generations in Indonesia. The study was investigated using a composite model based on the diffusion of innovation theory (DIT), technology acceptance model (TAM) and information system success model (ISSM). Data was collected from 200 e-wallet users in West Nusa Tenggara province and analyzed using multiple linear regression (PLS-SEM). The results showed that the use of e-wallets was not affected by observability, relative advantage, information quality and system quality. Ease of use and perceived usefulness have a positive impact on the decision to use e-wallets in Indonesia. The results of this study are very important to assess the situation and prospects of e-wallets in Indonesia. The results of this study offer significant insights for policy makers and e-wallet service providers to develop appropriate strategies to increase e-wallet users in Indonesia.

Poverty is one of the goals of Indonesia's development program, as stated in the first point of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). East Java Province has one of the largest poor populations in Indonesia, making poverty reduction a major component of improving people's welfare. This study aims to ascertain the effect of GRDP per capita, Human Development Index (HDI), Open Unemployment Rate, and regional expenditure in East Java Province from 2012 to 2022. The findings are expected to be a reference or policy-making decision in poverty alleviation efforts. This study makes use of panel data from East Java Province's 38 districts and cities from 2012 to 2022. Quantitative analysis method is utilized with an error correction model (ECM) regression analysis technique. The results showed that GRDP per capita, HDI, unemployment, and regional expenditure simultaneously affect poverty in East Java Province. Partially, GRDP per capita and HDI have a negative effect on poverty both in the long and short-term. In the long term, unemployment has a positive effect on poverty, but shows no effect in the short term . Meanwhile, regional expenditure has no effect on poverty, either in the long or short term in East Java Province. Reducing poverty can be achieved by increasing economic output to increase per capita income, improving the quality of human resources through investment in education and health, providing broad employment opportunities to reduce unemployment, and increasing the allocation of regional expenditure and allocation of regional expenditure with the right target.

Objective: Meatballs are a popular meat-based food consumed widely in Indonesian society. However, the issue of unethical substitution of halal meatballs with non-halal meats, particularly pork and canine meat (CM), has emerged. The existence of non-halal meats, including CM, in food products is prohibited in Islam, necessitating the development of reliable analytical techniques for their identification. In this study, we designed species-specific primers (SSPs) targeting the D-loop region of mitochondrial DNA for CM meatball product identification. Materials and Methods: The study was commenced by creating specific primers for canine DNA using Integrated DNA Technologies software and subsequently performing DNA isolation. The designed primers were then subjected to comprehensive evaluation using RT-PCR, including spec¬ification, linearity, limit of detection, efficiency, and repeatability. Results: The results indicated that the primer D-Loop 443 (forward: 5¢-GGG ACA TCT CGA TGG ACTA ATG-3', reverse: 5'-GCG GTC ATA GAT GAG TGA TAG C-3') designed and validated in silico using primer-basic local alignment search tool nucleotide (BLAST) program from NCBI accurately identified canine DNA when the optimal annealing temperature was set at 57.5oC. The real-time PCR technique utilizing the D-loop 443 primer exhibited the ability to amplify canine DNA down to a minimum quantity of 100 pg, with an efficiency value of 91.8%, a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.990, and a precision value (RSD) of 0.30%. Conclusion: The SSP-based RT-PCR method developed is a versatile and efficient tool for detect¬ing CM in meatballs. Its implementation helps maintain consumer trust and addresses concerns regarding the substitution of halal meats with non-halal alternatives. [J Adv Vet Anim Res 2024; 11(2.000): 247-258]

Pertanian berkelanjutan merupakan strategi esensial dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem dan keamanan pangan. Penelitian ini mengkaji integrasi antara penggunaan lahan pertanian dan pemeliharaan ternak dalam rangka pengembangan energi terbarukan melalui teknologi biodigester. Potensi produksi biogas dari limbah kotoran ternak dinilai sangat tinggi. Dengan lahan seluas 7.11 hektar yang terbagi menjadi 2.27 hektar untuk ditanami rumput gajah dan 4.48 hektar untuk ditanami jagung mampu mendukung kebutuhan pakan bagi 11 ekor sapi. Dari limbah kotoran yang dihasilkan diperoleh potensi produksi biogas harian sebesar 2.2 m3. Proses digestifikasi anaerob menggunakan biodigester berkapasitas minimal 4.4 m3 berhasil menghasilkan gas metana murni sebanyak 1.45 m3 per hari. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kesesuaian lahan dan jumlah ternak memiliki peranan signifikan dalam mendukung efektivias biodigester untuk menghasilkan energi terbarukan. Hasil pengujian biogas pada efisiensi kompor menunjukkan nilai efisiensi sebesar 0.8% lebih besar dari pada biogas tanpa dilakukan pemurnian. Penggunaan biodigester juga memberikan kontribusi pada pengurangan emisi gas rumah kaca dan pemberdayaan masyarakat pedesaan melalui teknologi ramah lingkungan.
