The existence of clean water is very important considering the very dynamic activities of people's lives. Therefore, the quality and quantity must be considered. Clean water that meets health requirements must be free from pollution and must meet quality standards: one of them is physical requirements because drinking water that does not meet quality standards can cause health problems. The topography of an area can affect groundwater in that area. This study aims to analyze differences in the quality of well water in the highlands of Rantauprapat City and the lowlands of Rantauprapat City based on physical parameters. The research was conducted at the BTKL Physics Laboratory in Medan in October 2022. The method in this research was observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was determined by purposive sampling which amounted to 50 samples. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21 and the Mann Whitney-U Test. The results showed that there was no significant difference in water quality in the parameters of taste, temperature, odor and turbidity with a p value > 0.05, while there were significant differences in the parameters TDS and DHL with a p value

The purpose of this study was to determine the index of plankton diversity in the Aek Rao River, Gunung Tua. The research was carried out from April to May 2022 in the Aek Rao River, Gunung Tua. The sampling method used purposive random sampling which consisted of 3 observation stations, namely station 1 upstream, station 2 for residential areas and station 3 for densely populated areas. The results showed that the composition of plankton in the Aek Rao River, Gunung Tua consisted of 3 classes of phytoplankton, namely Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae and Cyanophyceae, while the zooplankton class consisted of 4 classes, namely Mastigophora, Monogononta, Crustacea and Ciliophora. The highest diversity index in phytoplankton was obtained at station 1 of the sand mining area with a value of 1, 39 which indicates that the level of diversity is in the medium category. In zooplankton the highest diversity index was found at station 3 with a value of 0.33 which indicated that the level of diversity was included in the low category. While the highest dominance index for phytoplankton was found at station 3 in densely populated areas with a value of 0.43 while zooplankton was found at station 1 in a sand mining area with a value of 0.00563, both values ​​indicated that there was no dominant plankton genus in that area.

Analysis of the content of heavy metals Cu, Pb and Zn in seawater, sediment and snails (C. obtusa) in Singkep island was held on June – July 2022. All parameters measured water quality is still within tolerable limits for the survival of the aquatic organism . Samples of sea water, sediment and snails (C. obtusa) were taken from five stations with three replicates at each station. Heavy metals were analyzed in the KLH Pekanbaru laboratory using an Atomic Abortion AA-7000 Shimadzu spectrophotometer. The results showed that the average content of heavy metals in Singkep waters was 0.0724 mg/l (Cu), 0.1285 mg/l (Pb)) and 0.11525 mg/l (Zn), the sediment was 10.7513 ug/g (Cu ), 25.7750 ug/g (Pb) and 34.1493 mg/g (Zn). Simple linear regression analysis indicates negative correlation between metals content in seawater and in sediment with Y = 12.864 –29.178X, r = 0.1616 (Cu), Y = 26.181 – 3.1564X, r = 0.0632(Pb) ; and Y=45.479 - 61.286X, r = 0.2689 (Zn).

This study aims to analyze the water quality of the Barumun river in Pinang City based on water quality criteria and formulate a pollution control strategy that needs to be implemented. The method used is descriptive and quantitative by analyzing river water quality status based on the pollution index. The results showed that the PI value of Barumun river water ranged from 0.82 to 1.71. The recommended pollution control strategies are: 1) maintaining river border protection zones involving environmental cadres and green communities in monitoring; 2) supervision and control of water pollution along the river; 3) improving monitoring of river water quality and supervision of wastewater discharge into rivers; 4) the granting of a wastewater disposal permit (IPLC) to the river must pay attention to the condition of the capacity of the river's pollution load capacity and enforce environmental laws against business actors who violate the established environmental quality standards. In conclusion, the Barumun River in Kota Pinang has decreased in quality, with the status of water quality being lightly polluted. This study aims to determine the water quality of the Aek Pala River in Labuhanbatu Regency. The method used is a survey method with qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the water of the Aek Pala River was slightly cloudy, odorless and had a TDS level of 164.60 mg/l, pH = 6.85; BOD = 9.08; COD = 20.78; phosphate < 0.003 mg/l; nitrate = 3.04 mg/l; total Coliform = 9.17 CFU/100 ml; and E. coli = 0.03 CFU/100 ml. In conclusion, the physical, chemical and microbiological parameters of the Aek Pala River water are still in the safe category in meeting drinking water quality standards and are worthy of being used as a bathing tourist attraction for people around Labuhanbatu and other areas. This study aims to determine plankton diversity in the Aek Pala River, Labuhanbatu Regency. The method used is descriptive observative. Sampling was done by filtering 10 L of water using a plankton net. The results showed that there were 15 genera of plankton in Aek Pala waters, including 10 types of phytoplankton and 5 types of zooplankton. The most abundant diversity of phytoplankton species found was in the class Chlorophyceae, which was 75% (7 species). In contrast, the highest diversity of zooplankton species is from the class Crustacea (3 species). In addition, the physical and chemical parameters of the waters show that Aek Pala waters are very good for supporting plankton life. In conclusion, the diversity of plankton species obtained included phytoplankton (classes Chlorophyceae, Bacillariophyceae and Dinophyceae) and zooplankton (classes Crustacea and Rotifera). This study aims to determine the composition and abundance of mollusks (Gastropods and Bivalves) in the Aek Pala River, Labuhanbatu Regency. The method used is purposive random sampling. Sampling was carried out using a net source. The results showed that the Gastropod groups found were Pachychilidae, Ampullaridae, Littorinidae, Nassaridae, Thiaridae, Hydrobiidae, Tateidae, Spiraxidae, Vivipararidae and Batillariidae, while the Bivalvia groups were Corbiculidae and Curbulidae. This study aims to determine the distribution and diversity of macrozoobenthos species in the Barumun River, Kota Pinang District, South Labuhanbatu Regency. The method used is an exploratory method with purposive sampling. The data analyzed were longitudinal distribution, diversity index, evenness index and dominance index. The results showed that there were 15 types of macrozoobenthos with a low diversity index value at all stations. In conclusion, the diversity of macrozoobenthos in the Barumun River is relatively small, so the water quality criteria for this river are categorized as moderately polluted. This study aims to determine the level of pollution that occurs in the Barumun River area by identifying the composition of plankton diversity in the river. The method used is a survey method. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling at three location points with different conditions in the surrounding area based on specific objectives with the researcher's considerations. The results showed differences in plankton density at each observation station, with the highest plankton species diversity value found at station II (1.86) and the lowest plankton species diversity value appearing at station III (1.06). Benthos are organisms that live in the bottom of the waters, either animal or plant, living on the surface and in the bottom of the waters. This study aims to determine the diversity of Macrozoobenthos in the River Aek Hurry. The study began in November 2021 to January 2021. Sampling of macrozoobenthos done using a Surber net. based on differences in the substrate at the base of the river. Macrozoobenthos found in the Aek Buru consists of two Phyla, namely the Arthropods and Mollusks. Phylum Arthropoda are found is of the class of Insects belonging to the genus Hydropsyche, Polycentropus, psephenus, Dryops, Anthopotamu, Acroneuria and Triops. The phylum of Mollusks that are found are from a class of Bilvavia included in the Genus Corbicula and of the class of Gastropods of the Genera Melanoides and Melanatria. The abundance of macrozoobenthos of the highest on each of the stations is Polycentropus (66,67 ind/L) and Potadoma (266,67 ind/L). The abundance of macrozoobenthos of the highest found is Melanatria by 622,2 ind/L. Based on the value of the Index of Diversity (H) (0,367 – 0,602) the index of dominance (C) (0,132 – 0,386) and the evenness (E) (0,367 – 0,602) River Aek Buru in the category good condition with high species diversity. Physical and chemical factors of the water body capable of supporting life macrozoobenthos.

The habitat of endophytic bacteria in plant tissues making it automatically used by plants to protect themselves against pathogenic bacteria. Endophytic bacteria have been applied in various fields, including agriculture, pharmacy, medicine, and biotechnology. This review was carried out to summarize recent studies focusing on the diversity of endophytic bacteria derived from traditional medicinal plants which have antibacterial activity and extracellular enzymes. This article was prepared and written by referring to literature studies collected from books and online journal publication. The literature review of endophytic bacteria focused on Vernonia anthelmintic, Saurauia scaberrinae, and Ki rinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) plants. The results revealed that endophytic bacteria obtained from Vernonia anthelmintic plant is from Micrococcus, Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Stenotrophomonas, and Pantoea genus which possess the same biological properties as the host plant, producing antibacterial activity. Saurauia scaberrinae plant successfully isolated endophyte fungus Phoma sp. which produces phomodione (4) and cercosporamide. Phomodione (4) exhibit inhibitory activity against S. aureus, P. ultimum, S. sclerotiorum and R. solani. Cercosporamide exhibits inhibitory activity against S. aureus. Endophytic bacteria were also isolated from Ki rinyuh (Chromolaena odorata), including BECB3, BECB 4, BECA 8, BECA 5, BECA 1, and BECA 10 isolates which have extracellular enzyme activities such as β-amylase, α-amylase, cellulase, chitinase, and protease. Understanding endophytic bacteria in medicinal plants can help researchers apply them effectively.

District Labuhanbatu selatan has natural/artificial inland waters for various usages. For example, freshwater has supported various activities such as agriculture, plantations, inland fisheries, and ecotourism. This study reports the presence of invasive mollusk in freshwater (Melanoides tuberculata) and terrestrial (Achatina fulica) habitats. This study is the first report regarding the spatial distribution of the three invasive mollusk species in the inland waters of District Labuhanbatu selatan. These invasive mollusks species are a severe threat to the preservation of native species and human health because they are an intermediate host for several types of parasites, such as the trematode group. The spreading and rapid development of these invasive mollusks is caused by their reproductive ability and resistance to poor environmental quality and airborne dispersal factors by birds, water flow, and commercial activities. This invasive species can directly cause huge economic losses as they become a pest inagricultural activities, plantations, and freshwater fisheries (aquaculture). They also can transmit pathogens and displacement of native species. Therefore, it is recommended to have a preventive effort to tackle the expansion of in District Labuhanbatu selatan.

Changes in disease patterns in Indonesia are often referred to as the epidemiological transition. In the 1990s the biggest cause of death and illness was infectious diseases. However, in the era of the last 10 years from 2010 to 2020 the biggest causes and causes of death and illness are non-communicable diseases. The increased risk of non-communicable diseases is due to the demographic transition. The Healthy Living Community Movement or commonly known as GERMAS is a movement initiated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia that prioritizes promotive and preventive efforts without compromising curative-rehabilitative efforts. This activity aims to raise public awareness, especially high school students, to be independent in doing GERMAS. Especially in disseminating information about the importance of implementing GERMAS during the Covid-19 pandemic. The activity is carried out using the seminar method, and was carried out by a team of 10 students, 1 lecturer and 1 health practitioner. The implementation time during this community service takes place which is 15 to 20 minutes for each topic with a presentation. After carrying out a series of activities, the committee provides an evaluation link that can be filled in by the participants. The results of the research show that the success rate is above 51% and shows that this community service will affect the target in carrying out GERMAS even though this activity is carried out virtually using the zoom meeting application. The activity in the next future needs to be improved again in the delivery of material and in answering the material in a language that is easily understood by high school students.

The present study reports are the comprehensive study on the awareness of hypertension which is a dangerous disease with an increase in blood pressure above normal values. According to the study, hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of about 140 mmHg or diastolic pressure of about 90 mmHg. Hypertension is a problem that needs to be watched out for, because there are no specific signs of hypertension and some people still feel healthy to carry out their usual activities. This is what makes hypertension a silent killer by data of Indonesia Ministry of Health, 2018, people will realize they have hypertension when the symptoms they feel are getting worse and go to health services. The purpose of this health promotion is to provide information and education to the public about hypertension and its prevention in Tegal Alur Village, Kali Deres District, West Jakarta. Health promotion activities are carried out online using the online via zoom meet application with lecture, question and answer and discussion methods. To determine the effectiveness of health promotion activities, such healthy living community movement or known as Germas, to the community members were given a questionnaire before (pre-test) and after the activity (post-test). Based on the post-test results, it was found that there was an increase in knowledge about hypertension. Plans and achievement targets for the follow-up to the implementation of this activity can be carried out in collaboration with all parties, namely the government, campuses and the wider surrounding community to create a community movement in creating behavior and awareness of hypertension prevention itself.

The waters of Kanan is the waters are very widespread in , this area is densely populated, so there are many community activities that take place such as Transportation, Fisheries, Bathing, sand Mining and other.The purpose of this study is to determine the role of macrozoobenthos as a bioindicator of water quality in the waters of Kanan Tapanuli Selatan , as well as determine the quality of water in the flow of the waters Kanan physical properties, chemical has. The research was conducted from November 2019 to February 2019, the samples taken from the three research stations. From the results obtained Macrozoobenthos in the identification in this study consisted of 3 Phyla of invertebrates namely : Annelids, which consists of 2 classes, Arthropods consisting of 1 class and Molusca, which consists of 1 class. Based on the data of macrozoobenthos obtained at each research station, then the obtained value of population density, relative density and frequency of presence of that at station I the value of its highest density is Tubifex sp. with the value of the density of the population of 18,519 individual/m2, the density is relatively 25,862% and the frequency of the presence of 55,555%. off at 3. at station 2 the highest density is Tubifex sp. with the value of the density of the population of 18,519 individuals/m2, relative density 25,862% and a frequency of 55,555%. also note that the total score obtained by the method storet, namely -30, this shows that if connected with the raw water quality of class I is then classified in the waters of class III, which means that light polluted. This research was conducted in the upper secondary school Panai Middle years learning 2018/2019. This study aims to determine the influence of learning model application of Discovery to student learning outcomes on the material the human excretory system in class XI Science. This type of research is quasi-experimental. Population, all students of class XI Science high school Panai Tenga amounted to 32 people. The sampling technique is total sampling, where the entire population in the study sample. The instruments used are test, observation sheet and questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, test prerequisites and the test of hypothesis with the help of SPSS software version 22.From the results of the hypothesis test, t-test paired samples (Paired Sample t-test), obtained the value of tcount of 5, 422 and ttable with α = 0.05, df = 15, the obtained values ttable amounted to 2,131. The value of tcount > ttable or 5,422 > 2,131 can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. This means that there is significant influence of learning model application of Discovery to student learning outcomes in class XI Science high school Panai Middle years learning 2018/2019.

Research objectives to get an overview of the effectiveness of Peer Teenagers Healthy (TEBARS) in the prevention of Drug abuse in adolescents in school, using a quasi-experiment, the sample obtained by random. The results illustrate Peers Teenagers Healthy is quite effective in preventing Drug abuse on teenagers in school, lack of knowledge of the average of 28.83 be 27.59, SD 1.558, p=0.000, risky behavior average of 49.23 be 43.32, SD 4.365, p=0.000. The average appearance Peers Teenagers Healthy before the intervention of 5.3 points increased to 7.8 point. The results of this study are expected to be implemented in schools and developed and fostered more to prevent Drug abuse.

Indonesia is a maritime country that consists of thousands islands connected by seas and other type of inland water such as rivers, lakes, swamps and canals. Basically, water transportation particularly river transportation becomes one of the most important transportation modes to connect one area to another area because the absence of the availability of land transport infrastructure. Besides that, river transportation is the major transport mode in rural area where there is no a feasible transport mode to support their daily activities. However, the development of river transportationin rural area gives social impacts not only for people who live in rural area, but also for the area development itself as a whole. Those impacts influence people's life in many aspects such as education, health, environment, culture and even political system. Then, this paper presents social impacts caused by the development of rural river transportation that case study in Indonesia. Furthermore, the integrated and participatory approach is required to optimize the development of rural river transportation in Indonesia

Macrozoobenthos found in the Barumun River in Pinang City consists of two phyla, namely Arthropoda and Molluscs. The phylum Arthropods found are from the class of insects belonging to the genera Hydropsyche, Polycentropus, psephenus, Dryops, Anthopotamu, Acroneuria and Triops. The phylum Molluscs found were from the Bilvavia class which belonged to the Corbicula genus and from the Gastropod class of the Genera Melanoides and Melanatria. The highest macrozoobenthic abudance at each station was Polycentropus (65,67 ind L) and Potadoma (265,67 ind L). The highest macrozoobenthic abudance found was Melanatria at (633,67 ind L) based on the vulnerability index value (H) (2,087 – 1,003) dominance index (C) (0133 -0,389) and evenness index (E) (0,365-0,603) Barumun River Kota Pinang is included in the good condition category with high species diversity. The physical and chemical factors of the waters are able to support macrozoobenthic life.

The river is one of the forms of the aquatic ecosystem is open, which is also prone to the existence of a pollution.Pollution that occurs in a river is usually caused by environmental conditions and human activities around the river.The river water Pandayangan is one of the rivers that are widely used by the local community for a variety of activities, namely as a tourist attraction, bathing, washing, and others. This research is a descriptive research that aims to determine the water quality of the river in physics and chemistry of the location of the research based on the raw water quality. Research conducted at three locations and sampling the water for the third observation stations do the measurement of physical parameters such as Temperature, Color, and Turbidity while the chemical parameters include pH, BOD, Ammonia, Nitrite, Organic Number, Alkaliniti and Asiditi. Based on the results of testing the physical and chemical parameters then be concluded that the water quality of the river Pandayangan still meet the quality standards of water quality class B or raw water.

Coliform bacteria is a one of a kind negative bacteria that is commonly found marine waters, the presence of coliform bacteria can be an indicator of biology that is important to know the environmental conditions. This study aims to determine the environmental conditions based on biological indicators in the form of an abundance of coliform bacteria in the waters of the River right District Labuhanbatu Selatan. The main ingredient in this study is the River right and sediment. The results of the analysis showed the density of coliform bacteria in the study site ranged from 500-700 colonies/ml for the sample waters and 27-120 MPN/g for sediment samples. The results obtained are still below the quality standard so that the river right in good condition biologically. The presence of coliform bacteria in the river can affect human and biota. So it needs to be considered in the efforts of the management of the coastal environment, particularly in efforts to maintain the sustainability of fisheries resources

The number of community activities in the area of River Barumun Labuhanbatu South will produce heavy metals in the waters and will accumulate to the bottom of the waters in the sediment. This study discusses the content of heavy metal Cd in sungai Barumun Labuhanbatu Selatan. The research was conducted in December 2020 until January 2021 in the region of the waters of the River Barumun Labuhanbatu Selatan. The process of sampling using purposive sampling method. Data analysis was done descriptively by looking at the results of the measurements of some parameters of the waters and the test results of water samples in the laboratory by comparing the quality standard according to the Decision of the Minister of Environment No. 51 Year 2004. As for the test sediment samples in the laboratory compared with the raw quality of the concentration of heavy metals in the sediment IADC/CEDA 1997. The results of the heavy metal concentration of Cd in the surface water ranged 0,003-0,068 mg/l, the concentration of heavy metal cadmium in water depth of 5 meters has a range of 0.007-to 0.058 mg/l.

Macrozoobenthos used as a bioindicator of the waters, this happens because of the nature of the benthos which has mpergerakan low so it got a lot of influence from the environment. This study aims to determine the condition of the river Kundur with a view the community structure of macrozoobenthos which include: species composition, abundance, diversity, uniformity and dominance as well as the physical and chemical parameters of water as a paremeter supporters. Based on the results of observations, macrozoobenthos were found during the study in the river Kundur consists of 3 phylum, 4 classes, 17 family with 11 species. The composition of the class of macrozoobenthos in the whole of the observation station consists of a Gastropod (37%), Insecta (23%), Malacostraca (20%), Polychaeta (10%) dan Malacostraca (20%). The value of an abundance ranged from 325,7 - 3309,6 ind/m3. With the value of the total abundance at Station I which is equal to 3690,1 ind/m3, Station II 3723,1 ind/m3, Station III 3692,3 ind/m3 can be categorized diversity are light polluted with the value of the index of uniformity (E) that describes the spread of the individual tends to be uniform or relatively the same. While the condition of the physical-chemical parameters and the substrate bottom of the river Kundur in general has a range of relatively homogeneous, spread evenly throughout the observation stations and still be able to support life macrozoobenthos. To the results of measurements of the parameters of physico-chemical water and substrate in the river kundur in general has a range of relatively homogeneous in the whole observation stations and still be able to support the life of the macrozoobenthos.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the water quality of the river and the status of water quality of watersheds Kundur Kabupaten Labuhanbatu. Sampling was done at 3 monitoring points along the flow of the river Kundur Kabupaten Labuhanbatu. This study aims to determine the diversity of Gastropods in the Pandayangan River, South Labuhanbatu Regency. Descriptive exploratory research was conducted at 3 stations from December to February 2021. Gastropod samples were taken from the sampling results at the time of the study in the Pandayangan River. Samples were taken from 3 stations with different characteristics, the gastropods were washed and documented. The identification process is carried out using the identification key of the Jutting book. The results obtained 7 types of Gastropods from 3 families of Thiaridae, Ampullariidae and Viviparidae, namely Brotia castula, Melanoides tuberculata, Melanoides punctate, Pomacea canaliculata, Pila polita, Pila ampullacea and Filopaludina sumatrensis. Gastropods catch 230 individuals. Station I found 40 individuals, Station II was found 80 individuals and Station III was found 110 individuals. Types of Brotia castula, Melanoides punctate, and Pomacea canaliculata were mostly found at Station II and Station III.

Guiding the younger generation in understanding Islam from the family informing the piety of the millennial generation is essential even though the government and society have established Islamic religious schools. To ascertain the extent to which Muslim families have carried out such guidance, we have obtained supporting data from various literature sources, including findings published in international journals that we have searched electronically on the Google Scholar application from the 2010 issue to the most recent 2021. Furthermore, our analysis process involves evaluating, coding, and critical interpretation under a phenomenological approach. During the reporting, we choose a descriptive analysis system. All of our data depend on secondary, considering that this study was carried out when Indonesia was implementing PPKM, namely the period of the national public movement restriction policy. After the process of discussing the results, we can summarize that the task of guidance and family responsibilities in children's education lies with parents in the family, including things such as the motivation or encouragement of love that animates the relationship between parents and children and the provision of motivation for moral obligations as the consequences of the position of parents to their offspring so that the hope that someday the children will become pious and pious children. Thus, these findings should be part of efforts to educate children in the millennial era.

This study investigates the culturable bacteria from a wide range of habitat in a Bruguiera cylindrica mangrove ecosystem in North Sumatra. Screening of extracellular hydrolytic enzymes showed multiple potential traits in amylase, cellulase, chitinase, phosphatase, protease, and urease production by bacterial isolates. Molecular identification based on 16S rDNA region of a potential strain, Vibrio alginolyticus Jme3−20 is then reported as a newly proteolytic agent. The strain also showed a stable growth under salinity (NaCl) stress with considerable phosphate solubilization activities. Protease activity was enhanced by optimizing the 0.5 % (w/v) sucrose and soy peptone in the fermentation medium. SDS-PAGE and zymogram analysis showed the presence of a 35-kDa MW protease. Hence, our study revealed important insights into the bacterial diversity and activity in mangrove ecosystems, evidencing the importance of microbial exploration in this ecosystem.

Sungai Kualuh merupakan sungai yang terdapat di Gunting Saga Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Utara Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Di sungai ini banyak terdapat aktifitas masyarakat yang berlangsung seperti Pemandian, Penambangan pasir, Pertanian, Perhubungan dan Perikanan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas air Sungai Kualuh di tinjau dari faktor Fisik-Kimia dan Biologi yang dimilikinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai bulan April 2018 sampai bulan Juni 2018, sampel yang diambil dari lima stasiun penelitian. Titik pengambilan sampel ditentukan dengan metode purposive random sampling. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan surberner dan kemudian di identifikasi di laboratorium. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa kandungan phosfat, COD, dan TSS sudah melebihi batas baku mutu air, sedangkan parameter yang masih memenuhi baku mutu air yaitu Suhu, pH, BOD5, DO, Nitrat dan TDS. diketahui juga bahwa total score yang diperoleh dengan metode storet yaitu -30, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa jika dihubungkan dengan baku mutu air golongan I maka tergolong dalam perairan kelas III, yang artinya tercemar sedang.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the distribution pattern, size and high-length relationships of the Indo Pacific tarpon Megalops cyrinoides in the Belawan River. This is exploratory research with purposive randomly sampled method. The results showed that Morisita index value were reached of 0.299 in station 1, 0.121 (station 2), 0.277 (station 3), thus the distribution of indo pacific tarpon have a uniform spread pattern. Based on total sample of fishes divided into 3 classes: small size from (9.0 – 24.9 cm), medium from (25 – 40.9 cm) and large (> 40 cm). The dominant fish belongs to the young fish category. Similarly, caught fish was light and medium weight category (young fish). The results of the morphometric fish followed the equation: W = 0.3978 L0,9980, with coefficients of determination (R2) = 0.8732.

Bilah river is the largest river and is located right in the densely populated urban areas of Rantauprapat Labuhanbatu, North Sumatra. There are so many community activities that take place such as the baths, water supplay company, sand mining, agriculture, transportation and fisheries. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of macrozoobenthos as a bioindicator of water quality as well as determining of water quality. This study was conducted from November 2016 to October 2017, samples taken from five research stations. From the research results obtained macrozoobenthos which consisting of4 grade, 7 orders, 11 families and 12genera. The high density value is a genus of Neanthes sp (18.519 individu/m2) found at station 4. The highest value of diversity index (H') of macrozoobenthos found at station 1 (2.052) and the lowest at station 5 (0.965). Person correlation analysis showed that the DO, BOD5, nitrate, phosphate, COD, substrate, light penetration, the solubility of oxygen, TSS, and TDS was positively correlated with diversity index of macrozoobenthos.
