Background/Aims: NHS tongue tie service provision throughout the UK has previously been described as a 'post code lottery'. A 2021 survey was conducted, with the aim to provide an update to a 2016 survey of tongue tie services in the UK. Methods: A total of 179 trusts or health boards were approached with similar survey questions to a 2016 survey and achieved a response rate of 72% (n=130). Results: There were similarities to the findings of the previous National Childbirth Trust survey, although there was an overall increase in NHS services provided. There is still variation in terms of the lead professional involved in delivering tongue tie services at the point of contact with the mother and baby, the criteria used for referral, the waiting time for assessment and treatment and the follow-up processes. Evidence supporting most aspects of care is limited, which causes much professional discussion. Incest causes disorders. For one psychologist, it caused feminism. There is a strong link between women's and children's issues and this is clearly seen in the issue regarding incest. The mainstream view of paternal rape is that the rapist is not to be blamed, but rather the mother who failed on two counts: she caused the rape and failed to protect the victim. The 'experts' have also shifted the focus away from the real issue, which is rape and the rapist, by coming up with names and labels for the victim and the mother of the victim.

The internet and related social media have altered the ways in which many social interactions occur. Caribbean Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) have not been immune from these changes, yet little attention has been paid to how these tools have affected their work. This article probes the ways Caribbean CSOs have used the internet and social media to move elements of their work online. The paper provides what we call a "mapping" of the online presences of CSOs that we could find listed online from select Eastern Caribbean states (Barbados, Dominica, Grenada and Saint Lucia). The mapping illustrates the incompleteness of internet listings and of CSOs' online presences in representing the CSO landscape across the region. The paper also contends that, even while online presences offer possibilities for CSOs, CSOs' abilities to maintain web presences are fraught with contradictions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
