- Abstract
In urological practice, the routine procedure of placing a double J stent aims to facilitate drainage of the upper urinary system. Despite its temporary nature and the necessity for timely removal, approximately 12% of these stents are retained in patients for extended durations due to various reasons. Forgotten ureteral stents can lead to complications that increase the morbidity and mortality of patients. This report discusses a case of the double J stent that became calcified due to prolonged use and needed to be removed in a combined procedure., Competing Interests: Human subjects: Consent was obtained or waived by all participants in this study.
