The purpose of this work is to implement educational guidance actions in the teaching learning process for training engineers at the Technological University of Havana. Theoretical and empirical research methods that integrate the quantitative and qualitative paradigms are used. It is proposed to carry out educational guidance actions in the first year of the Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering career, as part of the teaching learning process, responding to the needs of university students. The whole methodological procedure allowed the reduction of the number of students with difficulties after the application of the actions. The result was possible thanks to the cooperation of teachers, the group and the protagonist participation of the students in meeting their needs. The achievements obtained demonstrate the need and effectiveness of educational guidance in the teaching learning process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
