Welche Funktion hat der Tastsinn für die Sinnlichkeit von Film? Filmtheoretische Konzeptualisierungen, die diese Frage zu beantworten versuchen, sind seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten maßgeblich von Gegenüberstellungen »optischer« und »haptischer« Bilder bestimmt. Sonja Kirschall nimmt eine kritische Revision dieses Denkens vor, indem sie es einerseits mit seiner eigenen etwa hundertjährigen Konzeptgeschichte, andererseits mit den teletaktilen ästhetischen Praktiken der seit 2010 in den sozialen Medien produktiven ASMR-Community konfrontiert. Aus der Kombination von kritischer Theoriearbeit mit ästhetischer und Erfahrungsanalyse entwickelt sie so eine ordnende Zusammenschau möglicher Modi filmischer Tastsinnlichkeit und eine hapto-taktile Art der Filmanalyse.

Abarca las tareas desde el proceso creativo de generación y tratamiento de la idea germen hasta las operaciones intelectuales y técnicas de la post-producción. Las técnicas para la elaboración de un guion a partir de un conflicto o intriga base, su estructura dramática y su fase técnica conforman la primera etapa de la producción audiovisual que se despliega sintéticamente en esta publicación. De la misma manera sucede con los aspectos vinculados a las particularidades del lenguaje audiovisual, su gramática y sintaxis. Finalmente, se aborda el concepto de encuadre y sus aspectos semántico y morfológico conforman el eje central del texto porque de él se desprenden todos los procedimientos técnicos y expresivos visuales y sonoros que conforman la etapa del rodaje.

Los microformatos son posiblemente un emergente del gusto por lo fragmentario propuesto por la cultura postmoderna. El alcance del sentido en pocos minutos afectó también a la producción audiovisual, tanto a los realizadores como a las audiencias. La cibercultura, las redes sociales, los teléfonos móviles y otras especies de esta nueva ecología de medios han propiciado y estandarizado una nueva forma de narrar audiovisualmente que son precisamente los micro-formatos. En esta nueva especie podríamos agrupar a los spots publicitarios, los video clips musicales, los tráileres y otras formas de narrar desde la temporalidad minúscula como son los nanometrajes o micrometrajes que hacen referencia a microrrelatos fílmicos de corta duración.

This book reconsiders audiovisual culture through a focus on human perception, with recourse to ideas derived from recent neuroscience. It proceeds from the assumption that rather than simply working on a straightforward cognitive level audiovisual culture also functions more fundamentally on a physiological level, directly exploiting precise aspects of human perception. Vision and hearing are unified in a merged signal in the brain through being processed in the same areas. This is illustrated by the startling ‘McGurk Effect', whereby the perception of spoken sound is changed by its accompanying image, and counterpart effects which demonstrate that what we see is affected by different sounds accompanying sounds. This blending of sound and images into a whole has become a universal aspect of culture, not only evident in films and television but also in video games and short Internet clips. Indeed, this aesthetic formation has become the dominant of this period. The McGurk Universe attends to how audiovisual culture engages with and mediates between physiological and psychological levels.

Este livro se trata de uma investigação dos processos criativos e colaborativos referentes à construção de conhecimento de estudantes de Produção Audiovisual, durante a realização de curtas-metragens adaptados da obra do poeta baiano Waly Salomão. Supõe-se que o percurso da produção audiovisual potencializa a criatividade do indivíduo, exige que ele seja colaborativo e que se relacione obrigatoriamente com outros sujeitos, em um exercício cotidiano e sutil de compreensão das diversidades.
