The aims of this study was to validate the Self-Assessment Questionnaire for Exams-related Anxiety (CAAE, for its acronym in Spanish) in university students (n= 1024) of both sexes (66.4% women, and 33,6% men) and 20.34 years of mean age (SD: 1.78). For the study, the sample was randomly divided into two groups. With first subgroup 23 different structures were tested applying an approach based on Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling (ESEM). The Bifactorial S-1 model, with a general factor and a specific cognitive factor, presented the best fit indices (TLI: 0,91; CFI: 0,93; RM-SEA: 0,077). The model was replicated in the second sample. Its validity, reliability and gender invariance were confirmed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

LEARNING , *DISTANCE education , *COLLECTIVE action , *DESCRIPTIVE statistics , *CRITICAL analysis - Abstract
This research article aimed to analyze the contributions of the use of self-assessment in the education of students, during the discipline of Physics 3, within the Undergraduate Course in Electronic Engineering at a Federal University in the Central-West region of Paraná, Brazil, which was implemented during two semesters of emergency remote teaching in the year 2021. This study has a qualitative-quantitative nature, both with a descriptive approach, in order to thoroughly characterize the collected data. Therefore, the data for the analysis were derived from the final grades of the research individuals and a self-assess-ment developed by the participants at the end of the Physics 3 discipline. Thus, from the 70 enrolled students, only 52 participated in the research. The data were analyzed and discussed in the light of theoretical assumptions, descriptive statistics, and Content Analysis proposed by Bardin (2016). In the end, it was found that the assessment proposal, besides potentially improving the learning process, allowed each student to exercise autonomy to develop a critical and qualitative analysis of their own learning processes. In this sense, they had the opportunity to reflect on their individual and collective actions during the course, becoming more aware of their own needs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

LITERATURE reviews , *EDUCATIONAL relevance , *RESEARCH teams , *LITERACY education , *QUALITATIVE research - Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to evaluate a theoretical and methodological line with emphasis on the quantitative and qualitative study of variables related to teaching practice and socioemotional education using literacy as the articulating axis. To achieve this, the present study employed a narrative literature review methodology with a qualitative approach. A corpus of 14 texts was collected. Under this methodology, it was identified that in the academic production of our research team there is a predominance of the qualitative approach when studying teaching practice, while when studying literacy, studies are usually reported from the quantitative approach. On the other hand, the socioemotional line is possibly the one that has been cultivated the least. This is due to the fact that we have only recently focused on the relevance of this phenomenon in education. Based on these results, we propose to design and implement the PIAPDES (for its meaning in Spanish: Programa de Investigación sobre la Alfabetización, la Práctica Docente y la Educación Socioemocional). BEGINNING teachers , *NATIVE language , *SELF-evaluation , *STATISTICAL significance , *TEACHERS - Abstract
This study examines the divergences between self-assessments of comprehensibility, accentedness and fluency skills from a group of 40 speakers of Spanish as L2, and the scores they receive from two groups of native raters: 109 novice non teacher raters and 42 expert teacher (Spanish as L2) raters. The purpose of the experiment is to analyze the differences between these evaluations considering the speakers' performance levels, since several studies have shown that participants with lower proficiency tend to overestimate their ability, while those at the top of the scale tend to underestimate it (vid. Kruger & Dunning, 1999). This effect, known as the "Dunning-Kruger effect," is relevant to understand to what extent the learners' self-assessment of these three dimensions corresponds to the assessment of the native speakers with whom they regularly interact both inside and outside the classroom. While the results do confirm that the speakers with poorer performance overestimated themselves, and those who were graded higher underestimated themselves, the raters' experience is relevant in determining the statistical significance of the differences and effect sizes.

SELF-evaluation , *UNIVERSITIES & colleges , *HIGHER education , *PUBLIC institutions , *DECISION making , *CERTIFICATION , *ACCREDITATION - Abstract
In the constant search for university quality, institutional evaluation and accreditation are of vital importance and generally include the processes of self-evaluation, external evaluation, and elaboration of improvement plans, certification and dissemination of results. Selfevaluation is the starting point to diagnose the state of the institution, generate reflection on the matter and with it agreements that allow the construction of tailor-made solutions. Some of the main difficulties of this process are associated with the fact that no mechanism is established for processing the assessments of multiple experts on various criteria and no adequate modeling of uncertainty is provided, which generates loss of time and information. The purpose of this research is to illustrate the potential of considering the quality self-evaluation process in higher education institutions as a decision-making problem. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This exploratory study examined the self-assessment practices of Peruvian pedagogy students. The results showed that students tended to use self-assessment in a summative rather than formative way, which limited their development of metacognitive processes. Further research is suggested to strengthen the culture of self-assessment. The article reports on the lack of scientific literature related to self-assessment in higher education students in Peru, both before and after the pandemic. [Extracted from the article]

CORE competencies , *TEACHER training , *WORK experience (Employment) , *SELF-perception , *DIGITAL technology , *SELF-evaluation - Abstract
The aim of the study was to carry out a diagnosis of the self-assessment of teacher digital competence (TDC) by the teaching staff at the Universidad de Nariño (Colombia), in order to obtain relevant data for decision-making around teacher training plans and programs in the use and deployment of digital technologies. For this diagnosis, a descriptive study was carried out with quantitative data collected using a COMDID-A questionnaire. The results were analysed to obtain levels of self-perceived TDC development in four dimensions, and its relationship with variables such as gender, age, experience or type of employment. The results indicate a medium level of TDC, with a higher self-perception in the didactic, curricular and methodological dimension and a lower level in the relational, ethical and safety dimension. The discussion analyses the relationship between TDC and different characteristics of the group of teachers, and the importance of these aspects in taking decisions regarding teacher training plans.
