This article deals with the clinical differences, differential diagnosis, and appropriate treatment in patients with balanitis, which is considered one of the most frequent pathologies in men who have not been circumcised and who have phimosis, lack of hygiene, or, Failing that, the overdisinfection carried out by people with non-topical acidic materials in their genital region, causing tissue damage and compromising it, causing a pathology known as balanoposthitis to occur, which is a direct complication of balanitis as such, since two structures are affected, the foreskin and the glans., Este artigo trata das diferenças clínicas, diagnóstico diferencial e tratamento adequado em pacientes com balanite, que é considerada uma das patologias mais frequentes em homens não circuncidados, e que apresentam fimose, falta de higiene ou falta de desinfecção realizada por pessoas com materiais ácidos não tópicos em sua região genital, causando dano tecidual e comprometendo-o, causando a ocorrência de uma patologia conhecida como balanopostite, que é uma complicação direta da balanite propriamente dita, pois 2 estruturas são afetadas, o prepúcio e a glande., El presente artículo trata sobre las diferencias clínicas, diagnóstico diferencial y el tratamiento adecuado en pacientes que presentan balanitis, misma que es considerada como una de las patologías más frecuentes en los hombres que no han sido circuncidados, y que presentan fimosis, falta de higiene o en su defecto la sobre desinfección realizada por personas con materiales de características acidas no tópicas en su región genital, causando lesiones del tejido y lo comprometen, provocando que se produzca una patología conocida como balanopostitis que es una complicación directa de la balanitis como tal ya que se afectan 2 estructuras, el prepucio y el glande.

[EN] The effects of pulmonary vein isolation in the surface electrocardiogram of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation are analyzed in this paper using non-invasive markers for early detection of the arrhythmia recurrences. Several features have been extracted on P-waves of V1 lead for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation patients who underwent catheter ablation of pulmonary veins for restoring sinus rhythm permanently. Surface ECG was simultaneously recorded along with intracardiac recordings starting from the beginning of the intervention until half an hour after the catheter ablation successfully ended. Significant difference between the means before and after catheter ablation have been observed for the cross-correlation index, kurtosis and amplitude dispersion of Pwaves. A logistic regression has been applied to all the descriptors and pointed to the amplitude dispersion index, as well as the minimum gradient joint with kurtosis of P-waves prior to catheter ablation as good predictors of recurrence of atrial fibrillation (78% accuracy). It is important to note how using a few descriptors good classification results are achieved. This study opens a door to early detection of atrial fibrillation recurrences using markers obtained by non-invasive methods.

This article offers a reading of the acceptance of Roman law in the European legal systems since the High Middle Ages. Gregory VII's reforms, the role of the Bologna school, the search for systematization of canon law and the rediscovery of the enormous sources of Roman law were the starting point for a process of rationalization of law that retains the symbolic character that canon law possessed. This allowed the expansion of legal elements throughout Europe that formed a common denominator for the time: the Ius Utrumque., Este artigo oferece uma leitura do processo de recepção do direito romano nos sistemas jurídicos europeus desde a Alta Idade Média. As reformas de Gregório VII, o papel da escola de Bolonha, a busca da sistematização do direito canônico e o redescobrimento das enormes fontes do direito romano foram o ponto de partida para um processo de racionalização do direito que conserva o caráter simbólico que o direito canônico apresentava. Isso permitiu a expansão de elementos jurídicos em toda a Europa que formaram um denominador comum para a época: o jus utrumque., El presente artículo ofrece una lectura al proceso de recepción del derecho romano en los sistemas jurídicos europeos desde la Alta Edad Media. Las reformas de Gregorio VII, el papel de la escuela de Boloña, la búsqueda de sistematización del derecho canónico y el redescubrimiento de las enormes fuentes del derecho romano fueron el punto de partida para un proceso de racionalización del derecho que conserva el carácter simbólico que poseía el derecho canónico. Esto permitió la expansión de elementos jurídicos en toda Europa que conformaron un denominador común para la época: el Ius Utrumque.

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar y reflexionar la proyección ideológica-política de la Antigua Roma hacia el mundo contemporáneo. Por ende, se abordará tres aspectos conceptuales nucleares en esta perspectiva: imperialismo, aldea global- globalización y guerra justa, con el objetivo de comprender las herramientas claves de Roma como modelo político que ha sido atractivo a partir de la asimilación de la noción de Imperio por parte de Estados Unidos., The present article aims to analyze and reflect the ideological - political projection of Ancient Rome towards the contemporary world. Therefore, three nuclear conceptual aspects will be addressed in this perspective: imperialism, global village-globalization and just war, with the aim of understanding the key tools of Rome as a political model that has been attractive from the assimilation of the notion of Empire by the United States.

The private law constitutionalization phenomenon, as modern demostration,has concluded profitableand necessaryin the current constitutional systems becauseit allows the harmonization of all the application ways of law, specially, that who comes from private law legal science, with the fundamental rights. However, Through the historical analysis of the different systems, it is possible to conclude that, in the history, the private law constitutionalization has an important formation that allowed it to be founded, structure it, and apply in the way as we know it today, El fenómeno de la Constitucionalización del Derecho privado, como manifestación moderna, ha resultado beneficioso y necesario en los actuales sistemas constitucionales porque permite la armonización de todas las formas de aplicación del campo jurídico, en especial la que deviene de la dogmática jurídica al rededor del derecho privado, con los derechos fundamentales. Sin embargo, a través del análisis histórico de los diferentes sistemas, es posible concluir que la constitucionalizacióndel derecho privado tuvo en la historia una importante formación que le permitió fundamentarse, estructurarse y aplicarse en la forma en que la conocemos hoy en día.

[Background]: RNA sequencing is a widely used technology for differential expression analysis. However, the RNA-Seq do not provide accurate absolute measurements and the results can be different for each pipeline used. The major problem in statistical analysis of RNA-Seq and in the omics data in general, is the small sample size with respect to the large number of variables. In addition, experimental design must be taken into account and few tools consider it. [Results]: We propose OMICfpp, a method for the statistical analysis of RNA-Seq paired design data. First, we obtain a p-value for each case-control pair using a binomial test. These p-values are aggregated using an ordered weighted average (OWA) with a given orness previously chosen. The aggregated p-value from the original data is compared with the aggregated p-value obtained using the same method applied to random pairs. These new pairs are generated using between-pairs and complete randomization distributions. This randomization p-value is used as a raw p-value to test the differential expression of each gene. The OMICfpp method is evaluated using public data sets of 68 sample pairs from patients with colorectal cancer. We validate our results through bibliographic search of the reported genes and using simulated data set. Furthermore, we compared our results with those obtained by the methods edgeR and DESeq2 for paired samples. Finally, we propose new target genes to validate these as gene expression signatures in colorectal cancer. OMICfpp is available at http://www.uv.es/ayala/software/OMICfpp_0.2.tar.gz. [Conclusions]: Our study shows that OMICfpp is an accurate method for differential expression analysis in RNA-Seq data with paired design. In addition, we propose the use of randomized p-values pattern graphic as a powerful and robust method to select the target genes for experimental validation.
