In this study, catch efficiencies of monofilament and multifilament gillnets used in red mullet (Mullus sp) fisheries on the coasts of Çanakkale region in the North Aegean Sea were compared. The trials were carried out between October 2019 and August 2021, at depths 2-30 m using multifilament (210d/2) and monofilament (0.18 mm ᴓ) gillnets with 18 - 20 - 22 mm mesh size. All fish species captured other than the target species of red mullets (Mullus surmuletus, Mullus barbatus) were considered as by-catch. The catch per unit effort (CPUE) of each gillnet (1 gillnet = 100 m long) was obtained by dividing the total number of individuals and total weight of each catch by the number of operations. The total catch in terms of number and weight by monofilament gillnets were 2.21 and 2.02 fold higher than those caught by multifilament gillnets, respectively. The number and weight of the target catch caught by monofilament gillnets were 1.2 and 1.22 fold higher than those caught by multifilament gillnets, respectively. The number and weight of the by-catch caught by the monofilament nets were 2.48 and 2.31 fold higher than those caught by the multifilament gillnets. There were no statistical differences in the number and weight of the target catches between the multifilament and monofilament gillnets (P>0.05). The monofilament nets caught significantly higher catches in terms of number and weight than those caught by multifilament nets (P, Bu çalışmada Kuzey Ege Denizi Çanakkale ili kıyılarında barbun (Mullus surmuletus, Mullus barbatus) türleri avcılığında kullanılan misina ve ip materyale sahip galsama ağlarının av verimlerinin karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Misina ağlar hedef avda adet olarak 1,2 kat, ağırlık olarak 1,22 kat ip ağlardan daha fazla hedef av yapmıştır. Hedef dışı avda ise adet olarak misina ağlar 2,48 kat, ağırlıkta ise bu değer 2,31 kat olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bu çalışmada galsama ağlarında farklı ip kalınlıklarının av verimine ve av kompozisyonuna etkisini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Denemeler, Eylül 2007 – Şubat 2010 tarihleri arasında, Kuzey Ege’de ticari balıkçılık alanlarında, 2 – 40 metre derinlikler arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Denemelerde; 18, 20, 22 mm göz genişliğinde, 40 vertikal göz yüksekliğinde, E=0,4 donam faktöründe 210d/2 ve 210d/3 numara ip kalınlığına sahip ağlar kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, Kuzey Ege Denizi’nde uzatma ağlarında farklı ağ ipi kalınlığının av verimi ve av kompozisyonu üzerine etkisini belirlemektir. Ağların ip kalınlıklarından başka diğer tüm özellikleri aynı şekilde yapılmıştır. Çalışmada 59 av operasyonu gerçekleştirilmiştir. En fazla balık 927 adet ve 46,6 kg ile 210 d/2 numara ip kalınlığına sahip 18 mm göz genişliğine sahip ağda gerçekleşmiştir. 210 d/2 numara ip kalınlığına sahip ağlar, 210 d/3 numara ip kalınlığına sahip ağlardan adet olarak 1,21 kez daha fazla av yapmıştır. Ağırlık olarak ise büyük göz genişliğine sahip ağlar daha büyük balıkları yakalamışlardır. Özellikle balıkçı teknelerinde av verimi dikkate alınarak bulundurulması gereken ağ miktarı bu verim dikkate alınarak düzenlenmelidir., In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of different net twine thicknesses on the selection of fish size in gill nets. The study was carried out between September 2007 and February 2010 in a coastal region with 2 – 40-meter depth in a commercial fishing area in the North Aegean Sea. A total of six nets with three different mesh sizes, 18-, 20-, and 22-mm nominal bar length, and two different twine thicknesses 210d/2 and 210d/3 were rigged for the study. Other than the twine thicknesses and mesh sizes, all other features and specifications of the gillnets were identical. Each of the gillnets had a hanging ratio of E= 0.4 and had 40 mesh depth. 59 fishing operations were carried out in the study. The maximum number of fish was caught in the net with 927 pieces and 46.6 kg with 210 d/2 twine thickness and 18 mm mesh size. In experiments, nets with a twine thickness of 2 were captured 1.21 times (number of target fish) more than those with a twine thickness of 3. By weight, nets with larger mesh sizes caught larger fish. This issue should be taken into consideration especially in the regulations to be brought to keep the amount of net on fishing boats.

Bu çalışmada,Trabzon ili Sürmene kıyılarında yaz ve sonbahar mevsiminde küçük balıkçılartarafından mezgit (Merlangius merlangus)avcılığında yaygın olarak kullanılan derin su serpme ağının (çarmıklı serpme)kullanım yoğunluğunu ve av verimini incelemek amaçlanmıştır, dört farklıbalıkçı barınağında bu avcılık ile uğraşan 26 balıkçı teknesi ile 2016 ve 2017sezonunda anketler yapılmıştır. Buna ek olarak, derin su serpme ağının yaygınolarak kullanıldığı bu bölgede 12 ay boyunca aylık örneklemelergerçekleştirilerek bu ağın bölgedeki av verimi de belirlenmiştir. Balıkçılarınbeyanlararına göre, 2016 ve 2017 yıllarında 50 günün üzerinde av yaptıkları,her denize çıktıklarında bu av için 6 litrenin üzerinde yakıt tükettikleri veoperasyon başına ortalama 1,2±0,1 kg/operasyon balık yakaladıklarıbelirlenmiştir. Denemelerde ise av verimi balıkçıların belirttiği av sezonunda1,9±0,2 kg/operasyon hesaplanmıştır. Tüm yıl için bu değer 1,1±0,1 kg/operasyonolarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda, bu av aracının tüm Karadenizsahilinde kullanım durumunun araştırılması gerekliliği ortaya çıkmıştır., In this study, it wasaimed to investigate the usage intensity and catching efficiency of deep watercast net for catching whiting (Merlangius merlangus) which is commonlyused by small scale fishermen in summer and autumn seasons on the coast ofSürmene town of Trabzon city, questionnaires were performed with 26 fishermenwho used this gear in 2016 and 2017 fishing season of this gear. In addition,monthly sampling was carried out to determine the catching efficiency of thisgear for 12 months in this region where deep water cast net is widely used.According to the statements made by the fishermen in the surveys, it wasdetermined that fishermen are overboard in more than 50 days, consume more than6 liters of fuel per fishing operation when they go to the sea and catch atleast 1.2±0.1 kg fish per operation. In the experiment, 1.9±0.2 kg wascalculated during the fishing season specified by fishermen. As a result of thestudy, it is clear that this fishing methods need to be investigated for thewhole Black Sea coast.

In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of hanging ratio on the catch per unit effort in gillnets. The study was carried out at 0-30-meter depth in the Northeastern Aegean coast of Turkey between October 15, 2015 - October 15, 2017. In this study, 9 different gillnets for fishing red mullets (Mullus barbatus) and striped mullets (Mullus surmuletus) with 18-20-22 mm mesh size and 0.35-0.50-0.65 hanging ratio were used. At the end of the study, a total of 6961 and 365.97 kg of fish were caught with gillnets, 51 species belonging to 26 families. There was no statistically significant difference between catch per unit effort (CPUE) of nets with different hanging ratios in number and weight based on both each rigged piece of net and in total catch (P> 0.05).

Türkiye’ de tekneyle balıkçılık faaliyeti yapacak birkişinin tekne kullanabilmek için yeterlilik belgesi ve balıkçılık faaliyetindebulunabilmesi için de ruhsat tezkeresi alması gerekmektedir. Yeterlilik belgesiiçin en az 240 saatlik eğitim almak zorunda olduğu halde ruhsat tezkeresi almakiçin herhangi bir eğitim şartı bulunmamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, balıkçılıksektöründe faaliyet gösteren kişilere yönelik, balıkçıların eğitimgereksinimleri de göz önüne alınarak Balıkçılık ve Avlama sertifikası adıaltında bir sertifika eğitimi planlaması yapılmıştır. Hazırlanan sertifikaprogramı ile bilinçsiz avlanmanın önüne geçilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Ayrıcaeğiticilerin akademisyenlerden oluşturulması sayesinde, balıkçılarlaakademisyenlerin iş birliğinin artması için bir fırsat sağlanacaktır. İşbirliği ve güven artışı ile, balıkçılar ve akademisyenler arasındaki bilimselçalışmalara yönelik olarak ihtiyaç duyulan bilgi alışverişinin daha etkin vegüvenilir hale gelmesi mümkündür. Sertifika programı planlanırken alınacaksertifikanın özellikleri, eğitim müfredatı, süresi ve eğitici kriterleribelirlenmiştir. Bu amaçla ilgili fakültelerin ders konuları, ilgilibakanlıkların yasal mevzuatı ve diğer kurumların eğitim programlarıincelenmiştir. Although thereis at least 240 hours of training for the qualification certificate, there isno training requirement for fishery licence. In this study, a certificatetraining plan was made under the name of Fishery and Fishing Certificate,taking into account the training needs of fishermen, for those working in thefisheries sector. It is aimed to prevent the unconscious hunting by preparedcertificate programme. It is also inevitable that the cooperation of fishermenand academicians will increase when educators are thought to be academicians.With the increase of cooperation and confidence, it is possible to make theexchange of information needed for scientific studies between fishermen andacademicians more effective and reliable. With this planning was determined thecharacteristics of the certificate to be taken, the curriculum and duration ofthe training, and the criteria for the trainer. In determining thesecharacteristics, the course subjects of the faculties, the legal regulations ofthe relevant ministries and the educational programs of the other institutionswere examined. This study was made in the Çanakkale coastbetween April 2015 and March 2018. Number 11, 12, 13, 14 hooks were used in thefeathered handline. The colors are white, gray, yellow, green, orange and mixedcolor used as feather color. Leaders with 10 cm length and 0.10 mm diameterwhich were equipped with hooks were knotted to 0.15 mm diameter mainline anddistance between leaders were 15 cm. According sea stream, 100-500 gr weight isused. The target species Atherina boyeri(Risso, 1810) (Big-scale sand smelt) (414; 70.29%) are the most commonly caughtspecies. The other target species, Sardinapilchardus (Walbaum, 1792) (Europeanpilchard), was caught 13 individuals (2.21%). As the non-target species,the most caught species was Scomber japonicus (Houttuyn, 1782) (Chub mackerel)(59) (10.02%). 427 target species (72.5%) and 162 non-target species (27.5%) werecaught in this target feathered handline. According to this study, number 12hook has maximum catch rate (168 individuals) and number 14 has minimum catchrate (123 individuals). According to catch effect of feathers color, whitecolor has maximum catch rate (200 individual) and green color has minimum catchrate (81 individuals)., Bu çalışma Nisan 2015- Mart2018 yılları arasında Çanakkale kıyılarında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Diğerhedef tür olan Sardina pilchardus(Sardalye) ise 13 adet (%2,21) yakalanmıştır. Hedef dışı tür olarak ise enfazla yakalanan tür Scomber japonicus(Kolyoz) (59; %10,02) olarak belirlenmiştir. Sardalye-gümüş çaparisi ileyapılan avcılıkta 427(%72,5) adet hedef tür yakalanmış iken 162 (%27,5) adethedef dışı birey yakalanmıştır. Sardalye-gümüş çaparisinde kullanılan iğnenumarasına göre av verimi değerlendirildiğinde en fazla 12 numara iğne ile (168adet) avcılık yapılmış iken en az en küçük iğne olan 14 numara iğne ile (123adet) avcılık yapılmıştır. Kullanılan tüy rengine göre av verimideğerlendirildiğinde ise en fazla beyaz renk ile (200 adet) bireyin avcılığıyapılmış iken en az yeşil renk ile (81 adet) birey yakalanmıştır.

This study was conducted between November 2013 and November 2014 to determine the effects of different materials used on baited traps on fishing efficiency. In the study, three different types of traps with two different types of funnel, which were totally 12 traps, were prepared by covering wire mesh or multifilament net. Seventy-two fishing operation were performed in the coasts of Çanakkale and Gallipoli Peninsula. A total of 132.4 kg of catch, which belonged to 34 species in 18 families, were obtained during trials. According to the material used, the traps covered with wire mesh were seen more efficient than traps covered with rope net. However, there was no statistically significant difference among the aspects of number and weight of fishing (p>0.05). In the comparison of materials between the traps with the same model, the difference between the number of products was found to be insignificant (P>0.05). However, the difference between the weights of the product captured by the “O” shaped trap model was statistically significant (p0.05), it was concluded that the use of the multifilament net material in terms of ease of use and durability would be more appropriate., Bu çalışma, yemli tuzaklarda kullanılan farklımateryallerin av verimine etkisini ölçmek amacıyla Kasım 2013 – Kasım 2014tarihleri arasında yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada üç farklı tuzak tipinde ve ikifarklı tünel tipine sahip toplam 12 adet tuzak, tel ve ip ağ ile donatılarak hazırlanmıştır.Çanakkale ve Gelibolu Yarımadası kıyılarında toplam 72 av operasyonugerçekleştirilmiştir. Denemelerde 18 familyaya ait 34 türden toplam 1604 adetve 132,4 kg birey yakalanmıştır. Kullanılan materyal açısından, tel ağ kullanılan tuzakların av verimininip ağ kullanılanlardan daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür ancak birey sayısı veağırlık bazında istatistiksel olarak aralarında önemli fark bulunamamıştır (p>0,05). Aynı modele sahip tuzaklarınkendi aralarında yapılan materyal karşılaştırmalarında, yakaladıkları ürünadedi olarak aralarındaki fark önemsiz bulunmuştur (p>0.05). In this study, fishing efficiency was analyzed by using different colored feathers in chub mackerel fishing (Scomber japonicus Houttuyn 1782) at Gökçeada. Catching lengths of green, brown (grayed), pink, white and orange feathers were determined to be 33.7 cm, 34.2 cm, 33.6 cm, 34.7 cm and 35.9 cm, respectively. When the fishing efficiencies of different colored feathers used in the study were compared at the end of the study, brown (grayed) color was found to have caught 164 individuals, having a catching rate of 35%. Orange colored feather was found to have caught 95 individuals, having a catching rate of 21% while white colored feather was found to have caught 49 individuals, having a catching rate of 11%. Green colored feather was found to have caught 70 individuals, having a catching rate of 15% and pink colored feather was found to have caught 82 individuals, having a catching rate of 18%.

Bu çalışma Aralık 2008 - Mayıs 2009 tarihleri arasında Gelibolu Yarımadası’nda 10 ile 60 m derinliklerdegerçekleştirilmiştir. Denemelerde Kuzey Ege Denizi'nde yaygın olarak kullanılan 36-42-46 mm göz genişliğineve 160 mm fanya göz genişliğine sahip fanyalı uzatma ağları kullanılarak avcılığı yapılan sübyenin (Sepiaofficinalis, L. 1758) seçiciliğinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Seçicilik parametrelerinin tespitinde, SELECTtahmin metodundan yararlanılmıştır. Beş farklı model kullanılarak (normal location, normal scale, gamma, lognormal,bi-modal) veriler analiz edilmiş ve eldeki verilere ait en uygun sonucu lognormal modeli vermiştir. 36-42-46 mm göz genişliğine sahip fanyalı ağlara yakalanan sübyenin optimum yakalama boyları sırasıyla 17.47cm, 20.38 cm, 22.31 cm olarak hesaplanmıştır. Hesaplamalar sonucunda sübyeye ait seçicilik parametrelerinin,sübyenin ilk üreme boyundan büyük olduğu görülmüştür. Kullanılan ağların sübye avcılığı üzerinde bir avbaskısı oluşturmadığı tespit edilmiştir.&nbsp

Bu çalışma Gelibolu Yarımadası'ndaki iri sardalya (Sardinella aurita Valenciennes, 1847) avcılığındakullanılan multifilament galsama ağlarının seçiciliğinin belirlenmesi amacıyla Eylül 2006 - Ekim 2009 tarihleriarasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada kullanılan ağların göz açıklıkları 40, 44, 46, 50, 56 ve 64 mm'dir.Ağların ip kalınlığı 210d/3 no, asılma oranı E=0,50' dir. 40, 44, 46, 50, 56 ve 64 mm ağ göz açıklığına sahipağlarda yakalanan S. aurita'nın optimum yakalama boyları, sırasıyla 21,84, 24,02, 25,11 , 27,30 , 30,57 ve 34,94cm'dir., This study was carried out between September 2006 and October 2009 so as to determine the selectivity of multifilament gillnets used to catch round sardinella (Sardinella aurita Valenciennes, 1847) in Gallipoli Peninsula. Stretched mesh sizes of the nets were 40, 44, 46, 50, 56 and 64 mm. The twine width of the gill nets, 210d/3 no and its hanging ratio, E= 0.50. The optimum catch lengths of S. aurita in 40, 44, 46, 50, 56 and 64 mm strectched mesh size were 21.84, 24.02, 25.11, 27.30, 30.57, 34.94 cm, respectively.

In this study, the selectivity of gillnets of 40 - 44 - 46 and 50 mm streched mesh size, which is widely used in the coastal fisheries off Gallipoli Peninsula, was calculated for bogue (Boops boops). The selectivity parameters were determined by basing on the maximum body and operculum girths. Optimum catch lengths of gill nets with 40- 44 - 46 and 50 mm streched mesh size, respectively, were 17.10, 18.00, 19.20 and 20.01 cm, Bu araştırmada Kupes balığı (Boops boops) için Gelibolu Yarımadası açıklarında kıyı balıkçılığındayaygın olarak kullanılan 40 - 44 - 46 ve 50 mm göz açıklığına sahip galsama ağlarının seçiciliği hesaplanmıştır.Seçicilik parametreleri, operkulum ve maksimum çevre genişlikleri ölçülerini esas alınarak saptanmıştır. 40 - 44- 46 ve 50 mm göz açıklığına sahip galsama ağlarının optimum yakalama boyları, sırasıyla, 17,10, 18,00, 19,20ve 20,01 cm’ dir.

Bu araştırmada Gelibolu Yarımadası ve Çanakkale Boğazı’nda kolyoz balığı (Scomber japonicus)avcılığında kullanılan 3, 2, 1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0 ve 4/0 numara iğnelerin seçicilikleri SELECT metodu kullanmaksuretiyle hesaplanmıştır. Bi-normal modele göre 3, 2, 1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0 ve 4/0 numara iğnelerin optimum yakalamaboyları, sırasıyla, 13, 40 cm, 14,55 cm, 15,70 cm, 16,85 cm, 19,15 cm, 20,29 cm ve 23,97 cm’dir., In this study, the selectivity of 3, 2, 1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0 and 4/0 numbers hooks used for catching the Chub mackerel (Scomber japonicus) in Gallipoli Peninsula and Dardanelles was calculated by using SELECT method According to Bi-normal modal, the optimum catch lengths of 3, 2, 1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0 and 4/0 numbers hooks were 16.85 cm, 19.15 cm, 20.29 cm and 23.97 cm, respectively

In this study, It was aimed to determine the species composition, catch efficiency ofthe trammel nets widely used in the Çanakkale coasts. The study was conducted commercial 95fishing ground in the Çanakkale coasts between October - March. The study was carried outby trammel nets with 36 mm, 42 mm and 46 mm inner panel mesh size and 160 mm outerpanel of mesh size. In the sea sampling, angleshark (Squatina squatina) 66.47 kg (16%),cuttlefish (Sepia officinalis) 54.51 kg (13%) and common torpedo (Torpedo torpedo) 37.92 kg(%7.64) was the most caught species by the nets respectively. In the study, catch per uniteffort (CPUE) for each nets has been determined as; catched target number and total weightwith dividing total nets length. In the trials, mean target fish catch efficiency for trammel netswith different mesh size estimated as 1.54±0.7 kg/day (100 m). The study result show thatfishermen boats performed coastal fisheries have 20 – 40 (2000 – 4000 m) pieces deeptrammel nets on their deck is suitable., Bu çalışmada, Çanakkale kıyılarında kış mevsiminde Ekim-Kasım (sonbahar) Mart (ilkbahar) aylarında yaygın olarak kullanılan fanyalı dip uzatma ağlarının (Marya ağları) tür kompozisyonu ve av veriminin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada, Çanakkale kıyılarında balıkçılar tarafından yaygın olarak kullanılan 36, 42, 46 mm tor ağ, 160 mm fanya göz genişliğine sahip ağlar kullanılmıştır. Saha örneklemelerinde, keler (Squatina squatina ) 66.47 kg (%16), sübye (Sepia officinalis) 54.51 kg (%13) ve elektrik balığı (Torpedo torpedo) 37.92 kg (%7.64) ile ağlar tarafından en fazla yakalanan türler olmuştur. Denemelerde Ağların birim çabadaki av verimleri, ağlara yakalanan hedef türlerin sayılarının toplam posta sayısına bölünmesiyle hesaplanmıştır. Denemelerde kullanılan üç ağın posta başına ekonomik balık yakalamadaki ortalama av verimi 1.54±0.7 kg/gün bulunmuştur. Çalışma sonuçları, kıyı balıkçılığı yapan teknelerde 20–40 (2000–4000 m) posta ağ bulunmasının uygun olduğunu göstermiştir.

Bu çalışmada, Marmara Denizi’nde karides avcılığında kullanılan algarnaların av verimi ve kompozisyonu araştırılarak, avcılık sonucunda tesadüfi avlanan türler ve ıskarta türlerin miktarları belirlenmiştir. Çalışma, Ocak 2003-Mart 2004 dönemleri arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma süresince algarna ile yapılan avcılıkta 37 türün yakalanmıştır. Toplam avın ağırlık olarak % 51,3’nü eklembacaklıların (arthropoda), % 30,9 balıkların (pisces), % 15,5 derisi dikenlilerin (echinodermata), % 1,3 yumuşakçaların (mollusca) oluşturduğu belirlenmiştir. Derinsu pembe karidesi (Parapenaus longirostris), toplam avın % 50,8’ni oluşturmuştur. Hedef türün boy dağılımı 47-154 mm arasında değişmiştir. Algarna ile yapılan avcılıkta av veriminin yaklaşık 10,1 kg/h olduğu hesaplanmıştır. 1 kilogram hedef av için 0,42 kg ıskarta av, 0,62 kg tesadüfi av olmak üzere 1,04 kg hedeflenmeyen av yakalandığı tespit edilmiştir

This study was conducted between November 2011 - January 2013 on Bogue gill nets in mesh size of 36, 40, 44 and 50 mm targeting bogue (Boops boops, L. 1758), which is used in commercial fishing commonly at Canakkale shores. The bouge nets were rigged in three varying hanging ratios (E = 0.40, E = 0.50, E = 0.60) with the purpose of determining the effect of hanging ratio to selectivity. SELECT (Share Each Lengthclass Catch Total) method was used to fit selectivity curves. Lognormal model gave the best fit for selectivity curve of bogue selection according to the findings obtained from five different curve models (normal location, normal scale, gamma, lognormal, bimodal). According to the lognormal method modal lengths of bogue nets in mesh size of 36, 40, 44 and 50 mm, following findings were obtained; in hanging ratio of 0.4, rigged nets are 18.65, 20.72, 22.80 and 25.90 cm, respectively; in hanging ratio of 0.5, rigged nets are 17.90, 19.89, 21.88 and 24.86 cm, respectively; in hanging ratio of 0.6, rigged nets are 16.98, 18.87, 20.75 and 23.58 cm, respectively. Model lengths of bogue nets that were used in field studies are quite higher than the first reproduction length. The results show that the nets used in research have no pressure on bogue stock. It was determined that the hanging ratio may affects the selectivity with the help of other factors. It is taken into account the hanging ratio together with the other factors affect the selectivity.

This study was conducted betweenNovember 2011 - January 2013, using bogue nets with 18 - 20 - 22 - 25 mm meshsize that targets bogue which used in com­mercial fishing commonly at Çanakkaleshores were rigged in three different hanging ratios (E=0.40 - E=0.50 -E=0.60). Each net has 105 meshes height. Number 3 plastic floats were used onthe floatline of nets and 50 gr leads were used on the leadline of nets.Drive-in fishery technique was used in fishery opera­tions. At the end of 15fishery operations, 174 bogue were caught with 20 mm mesh size, E=0.40 nets;280 bogue were caught with 22 mm mesh size, E=0.50 nets and 403 bogue werecaught with 25 mm mesh size, E=0.60 nets, as maximum., Bu çalışmada, Çanakkale kıyılarındaKasım 2011 ile Ocak 2013 tarihleriarasında ticari balıkçılıkta kullanı­lan 210d/3 numara ip kalınlığı olan 18 -20 - 22 - 25 mm göz açıklığına sahip kupes ağları kullanılmıştır. Her ağ 105 göz yüksekliğine sahiptir.Ağların mantar ya­kalarında 3 numara plastik mantar ve kurşun ya­kalarında 50gram kurşun kullanılmıştır. Avcılık yöntemi olarak voli yöntemi uygulanmıştır.Yapılan 15 avcılık denemesinde E=0.40 donam faktörlü 22 mm göz genişliğinesahip ağlar 174 adet kupes balığı ile en fazla avcılık yapan ağlardır. E=0.50donam fak­törlü ağlarda ise 22 mm göz genişliğine sahip ağlar 280 adet kupesbalığı ile en fazla avcılık yapan ağlardır. E=0.60 donam faktörlü 25 mm göz ge­nişliğinesahip ağlarda ise 403 adet kupes balığı ile en fazla avcılık yapan ağlar olarakgöze çarpmaktadır.

This study was carried out between September 2006 and October 2009 so as to determine the selectivity of multifilament gillnets used to catch Atlantic bonito (Sarda sarda Bloch, 1793) in Gallipoli Peninsula. The selectivity of Atlantic bonito was assessed using the SELECT method. The modal lengths of S. sarda in nets with 40-44-46-50-56-60-64 and 72 mm stretched mesh size were 22.20, 24.43, 25.54, 27.76, 31.09, 33.31, 35.53 ve 39.97 cm, respectively., Bu çalışma Gelibolu Yarımadası'ndaki Palamut balığı (Sarda sarda Bloch, 1793) avcılığında kullanılan multifilament galsama ağlarının seçiciliğinin belirlenmesi amacıyla Eylül 2006 - Ekim 2009 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Palamut balığının seçiciliği SELECT metoduyla tahmin edildi. 40-44-46-50-56-60-64 ve 72 mm ağ göz açıklığına sahip ağlarda yakalanan palamut balıklarının optimum yakalama boyları, sırasıyla, 22.20, 24.43, 25.54, 27.76, 31.09, 33.31, 35.53 ve 39.97 cm' dir.

Bu çalışma, Gelibolu Yarımadası ve Çanakkale Boğazı’ndaki lüfer balığı (Pomatomus saltatrix Linnaeus, 1766) avcılığında kullanılan olta iğneleri seçiciliklerini belirlemek için, 2006-2009 balıkçılık sezonunda, lüfer göç zamanı olan Eylül, Ekim ve Kasım ayları arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Lüfer balıklarının avcılığı 1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0 numara iğneler ile gerçekleştirilmiş ve 1210 adet lüfer balığı yakalanmıştır. En fazla birey 2/0 numara iğne ile (344 birey, % 20,43) en az birey ise 1 numaralı iğne ile (35 birey, % 2,89) elde edilmiştir. Farklı iğne numaraları ile avlanan lüfer balığının boy frekans dağılımları kullanılarak uygulanan SELECT metoduna göre en uygun model, normal scale model olarak saptanmıştır. Normal scale modele göre kullanılan iğne büyüklükleri için hesaplanan optimum yakalama boyları (OYB) ve eğrinin genişlikleri (EG), sırasıyla, 1 no’lu iğne için 19,18 cm OYB ve 4,44 EG; 1/0 no’lu iğne için 21,88 cm OYB ve 5,07 EG; 2/0 no’lu iğne için 24,14 cm OYB ve 5,59 EG; 3/0 no’lu iğne için 27,02 cm OYB ve 6,26 EG ve 4/0 no’lu iğne için 28,19 cm OYB ve 6,53 EG’dir. Lüfer balıklarının Türkiye’deki minimum avlanma boyu 20 cm olduğu için lüfer avcılığında 2/0 numara ve daha büyük iğnelerin kullanımı önerilebilir, This study was conducted to determine the selectivity of the hooks used for bluefish (Pomatomus saltatrix Linneaus, 1766) in the Gallipoli Peninsula and the Dardanelles between 2006 and 2009 fishing seasons (November to September). Bluefish were fished with hooks sized 1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0 and in sum; 1210 bluefish were caught. The hook no 2/0 caught the highest number of fish (344 fish, 20.43%) and the hook no 1 caught the least (35 fish, 2.89%). Length frequency distribution of bluefish, which were caught with different hook sizes, was used in SELECT method and according to the results; the normal scale model gave the best fit for selectivity. The normal scale model was used to calculate model length (ML) and spread value (SV) of each hook size. Model length and spread value were found as follows; 19.18 cm ML and 4.44 SV for hook no. 1; 21.88 cm ML, 5.07 SV for hook no 1/0; 24.14 cm ML, 5.59 SV for hook no. 2/0; 27.02 cm ML, 6.26 SV for hook no. 3/0; 28.19 cm ML, 6.53 SV for hook no. 4/0, respectively. Because the minimum landing size (MLS) for bluefish has been stipulated as 20.0 cm (TL) in the Turkish Fishery Regulations, the use of hook no. 2/0 or bigger hook sizes can be recommended for fishing of bluefish.

Bu çalışmada, Gökçeada ve Bozcaada'da kullanılan uzatma ağlarının yapısal özelliklerini belirlemek için anket çalışmaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Anketler bölgedeki balıkçılar ve kooperatif başkanları ile yapılmıştır. Uzatma ağlarının yapısal özellikleri tablolar halinde verilmiştir. Anketlerin sonuçlarına göre, Gökçeada'da 16 adet Bozcaada'da ise 11 adet farklı tipte ağ belirlenmiştir., In this study, the questionnaires were carried out to determine structural specifications gill and trammel nets used in Gökceada and Bozcaada Islands. Questionnaires were done with the heads of the fishing cooperatives and fishermen in the Islands. Features of these net types used in the Islands were given as tables in the study. According the results of the questionnaires, a total of 16 various types nets from Gökceada and 11 various types nets from Bozcada were determined.
