This paper proposes a continuous time-varying feedback control based on back-stepping for automatic magazine system, in which the control gains depend on the Lyapunov function to ensure the robustness against modelling uncertainty. The Lyapunov function, which is implicit, is differentiable functions of system error variables. Integrated with backstepping control, the performance of the automation magazine system is greatly improved, while retaining the advantage of only needing to ensure the bounds of disturbances. Lyapunov analysis shows tracking errors of the system are asymptotically stable. In addition, this proposed controller is continuous and has the characteristics of simplicity and practicality, which are beneficial to practical applications. Finally, Numerical simulations are provided to verify the high performance of the controller by comparing the simulation experimental results in automation magazine system.

The objective and importance of structural performance tests for the ITER gravity support prototype were described. The model of the gravity support system was established. Based on the analysis of loads, the torque transformation method and the 3D loading method for prototypes under complex load conditions were proposed. The proposed methods overcome 3D loading problems in the case of the complex load cases. The structural design schemes of the mixed 3D loading system with hydraulic bolt tensioners and the 3D loading system with bidirectional hydraulic cylinders were discussed. Two design schemes were compared and analyzed. Based on the finite element method, the numerical analysis of the 3D loading framework for bidirectional hydraulic cylinders was done. Results show the proposed 3D loading system meets the performance test requirements of the ITER gravity support prototype and should be preferred for the prototype loading experiment.

The importance of static structural analysis for the 3D loading frame of the ITER gravity support prototype was described. The finite element model was established based on ANSYS Workbench. The forces applied on the 3D loading frame were analyzed. The static structural analyses of 3D loading frames under different working conditions were done with finite element method. Deformations, overall mean stresses and safety factors were then solved. Results show that the maximum total deformation, the y-direction maximum deformation, the maximum stress and the minimum safety factor for different working conditions meet the design requirements. The stress concentration region and the weakest part in the 3D loading frame were analyzed. The corresponding improved measures were presented.

In this article, we report the recent progress of the R&D work for ITER magnet supports, including 316LN raw material development, designing and manufacturing, development of gravity supports (GS) and poloidal field (PF) supports. 316LN stainless steel has been developed successfully with nitrogen content up to 0.188 mass%. These materials show very good mechanical properties at both room temperature and low temperature. The GS conceptual design using welded connections is replaced with pre-stressed bolted connections in order to reduce the risk of defects and manufacturing cost. The finite element model (FEM) analysis for this design shows that neither terrible stress concentrations nor large deformations would occur during either normal or abnormal operation. Attaching the thermal anchor to the flexible plate is made possible by a brazing connection and is carried out in the GS manufacturing. For PF supports, the wear resistance of the strut dowel of PF3–4 support improved after ion implantation.

Summary form only given. In the ITER magnet system, low voltage insulation coating on the shear pin is required in both CC supports and TF supports. Based on the ITER design, the plasma spray Al 2 O 3 +3% TiO 2 coating with 0.3mm thickness should be developed. Because the coating withstands the strong shear force during operation, high adhesion with the matrix is expected. In this study, an advanced plasma spray system (developed by GTV, Germany) was applied. In order to increase the bonding, a 0.1mm thick NiAl alloy interface was prepared before the plasma spray, which can be clearly seen in the microstructure of the coating. The test result shows that the interface can improve the bonding strength of the coating with a matrix: without interface 33.4 MPa, with NiAl interface about 40MPa. Further thermal shock tests of the coated sample were carried out between 300K and 77 K for more than 50 times, no crack and debonding were found. The electrical resistance test shows that the resistance is 1.06×1010 Ωm after cycling load test, which can satisfy the ITER requirements. In addition, the shear pin with Al 2 O 3 +3% TiO 2 coating can be polished to very good conditions. However, further 120,000 cyclic shear loading test of the coating are still planned, a special test machine is set up in our lab, the result will be present soon.

This paper presents the updated design and structural analysis of the Gravity Supports (GS), developed by IO in cooperation with SWIP, where welded connections are replaced with pre-stressed bolted connections in order to reduce both the risk of defects and the manufacturing cost.

The RD the engineering test of the prototype TFS mock-up under various load combinations; the arc-brazing of cooling pipe to supports technology and its result; the ion implantation for improving the wear resistance of strut dowel in the Poloidal Field (PF) coils PF3-4 support system and the plasma spray insulation coating for correction coil support (CCS).

The ITER magnet supports (MS) consist of toroidal field (TF) gravity supports (GS), poloidal field (PF) supports and correction coils (CC) supports. RD the experiment preparation of full-size fasteners and the modifications of a tensile tester. A design of the test model is proposed to simulate the GS loading in order to confirm the high engineering reliability of the new designed GS with clamp bolts. The test methods of the heat exchange for the attachment of the thermal anchor (cooling pipe), which ensure sufficient thermal contact with the GS and lowest the risk of leaks, are discussed. In order to qualify fasteners for the structural integrity under preload at room temperature and 77 K, R&D of verification tests for full-size fasteners is discussed. In addition, a modification of a conventional tensile tester for testing the property of the MS material at cryogenic temperature is described.

Five compounds were isolated from the traditional Chinese medicine Qianhu, roots of Peucedanum praeruptorum. Their structures were identified as 3'-angeloyloxykhellactone (IX), qianhucoumarin B (X), qianhucoumarin C (XI), Pd-III (XIII) and peucedanocoumarin III (XV). Among them, X and XI are new compounds, their absolute configurations were elucidated by chemical correlation with khellactones, as 3'(S)-acetoxy-4'(S)-hydroxy-3',4'-dihydroseselin(X) and 3'(S)-hydroxy-4'(S)-acetoxy-3',4'-dihydroseselin (XI). Compound IX was isolated from plants for the first time.
