Changes in temperature can affect the accuracy of the estimated SoC value based on voltage. In this study, fuzzy logic was implemented to correct the SoC estimation error caused by the influence of temperature. The system acquired data through sensors and then processed it using the Arduino microcontroller. Parameters in the form of voltage, temperature, and current were processed by Arduino with a fuzzy logic program which was uploaded into it and produced the output of the estimated SoC value. From the observations, it was found that the estimated SoC value from this method had better accuracy with a smaller error than the SoC estimation based on voltage alone. Using the RMSE method, the errors calculated in this method in the process of charging and discharging without running were 2.26 and 7.74, while the SoC estimation error based on voltage alone reached 4.88 and 12.8. In the discharging process with a running car, the SoC estimation results using fuzzy logic also showed accurate results. There was only 1% of SoC value increasing pattern during the discharging process, which the value trend should continue to decrease and should not be an increase. In addition, compared to the previous method applied to the same research object, namely the chemical equilibrium constant method, this method also showed more accurate results.

Demand for electricity is increasing rapidly, the consequence of this is a threat to the stability of the electrical system, one of which is the voltage stability. A flexible alternating current transmission system (FACTS) is a solid state electronic device is capable to regulate the transmission of electrical power be flexibly used to overcome these problems. This research will analyze the influence of Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) placement, as one of the types of FACTS on the buses of the most critical voltage stability of the power system by using case Java-Bali 500 kV by means of simulation using PSAT software. Voltage stability observed with the help of the PV curve can indicate the value of each voltage at any operating conditions. Voltage value in which the system reaches the maximum loading parameter (MLP) is used to select the most critical bus or line as the location of STATCOM placement. Installation of SATCOM in case of Java-Bali 500 kV can increase MLP (λ) by 0,201 p.u. (5,22 %).

The constant depletion of fossil fuels and high energy demand make renewable energy sources not only unlimited energy sources in the future, but also environmentally friendly and sustainable for the environment. Although solar power plants have some advantages over other forms of power generation, the main problem is the land requirements that are virtually unavailable in the world and the cost. The solution is to overcome the limitations of land with the existence of solar power plants. FSPV can be installed in any water section that will not only lower the land cost but will also increase the amount of generation by the cooling effect of water. Modeling and simulation for FSPV design is done on three reservoirs in Indonesia. The 1MWp design is arranged on 4 inverters with each having a 250 kWp capacity spread over 4 blocks and 20 strings respectively.

Fish is an aquatic animal which has beautiful scales that people keep it either for hobby or breeding. Healthy fish is a dream for fishkeepers. It requires balanced of water temperature, turbidity, and the amount of feeding. But unfortunately, treating fish is not as easy as buying. Humans have limitations to observe something periodically. Based on that case, a smart monitoring and automation control system for a fish aquarium is created. The prototype applies Internet of Things technology, so the fishkeepers can adjust the fish needs (water and feed) remotely anywhere and anytime. The system has temperature and turbidity sensor, automatic water drain, and live stream features. The data obtained will be processed in Raspberry Pi to take action and sending the report into the owner’s device. The result shows that the system works well and helping fish keep health. The system can save human resource and time efficiently.

A WSN is a network consists of a large number of sensor nodes with limited memory, processing, and energy. Usually, the sensor nodes are randomly placed in the unreachable place to sense the environmental conditions. Consequently, we can not replace or recharge the power unit i.e. battery. Hence, energy consumption is a crucial issue in WSN. Researchers concern to develop the routing protocol to prolonging the network lifetime. The LEACH (hierarchical routing protocol) can save more the energy consumption. The cluster head in LEACH routing protocol is assigned to collect the messages/information from different member sensor nodes, aggregation by diminishing the redundancy and forwarding the messages to the base station. The cluster head has a heavy task so that the energy reduces quickly causing dies early. Vice cluster-LEACH, assigning of the vice cluster based on the residual energy in each sensor nodes. The vice cluster will take over shortly when the cluster head will die. The vice cluster head gives a positive impact to prolonging the network lifetime. Based on the simulation result shows that the vice cluster head extends about 12.5% of the network lifetime. In addition, the V-LEACH routing protocol also consumes lesser energy than the LEACH protocol in a specific number of rounds.

The use of electrical energy on industrial loads often cause energy consumption problem which is not in accordance with the power needed by loads. The problem is caused by low loads power factor rating. Therefore, power factor correction is required by calculating installed loads capacity with the resulted power factor. Power factor correction can be done by using a magnetic energy recovery switch (MERS). MERS is a circuit located between sources and loads which control switching process on the capacitor. MERS is arranged of four MOSFET or IGBT as the switch. This research is done to know the characteristics of MERS and simulate it to correct the power factor of static loads. Static load is symbolized as RL. The specification of the load is obtained from research reference. This research implements MERS on a renewable energy source. The result of this research proves that MERS can correct static loads power factor from 0, 47 to 0, 98. The implementation on a renewable energy source showed if MERS is able to increase the value of static loads power factor.

That amount is dominated by large power lamps, BMF-U, and SON-T (99.53%). And with that amount, the quality of lighting is not in accordance with the standard. That fact is an opportunity to get better efficiency. There are two types of data needed, that is primary data and secondary data. By using DIALux Evo 7.1 software for simulation, the rearrangement of street lighting is carried out in two scenarios. first, using lamps of the same type but with less power. Second, changing lamps with LED lamps. The application of the two scenarios refers to the international standard of street lighting (CIE). The electricity consumption result of the first scenario is 17,360,554 kWh / year, obtain savings of 10,054.158 kWh / year or 36.7% compared to existing conditions. Plasma technology is one of the technologies that can help in various sectors. The development of research on plasma technology has several benefits, for instance to process certain materials or produce some nanomaterials in an industrial sector, to treat more waste in an environmental sector, to purify drinking water in a food sector, and various other sectors. This study is to observe characteristics of current and voltage on plasma discharge using 15 kV Boost Inverter device as a source of plasma generation and to find the energy needed or consumed in plasma discharge events between two electrodes. For measurement, current and voltage sensors are installed simultaneously on each side to measure the real-time value during plasma discharge events. Mathematical calculations are also carried out to identify the value of electric power and energy. As a result, based on secondary current values, the type of plasma release can be considered as corona plasma type, since the value reaches the order of microamperes (10−6 A) with several visible physical features. Based on calculations, the electrical power needed to produce plasma is in the range of 8.77 × 10−5 to 2.36 Watt, with an average consumption value of ± 0.43 Watt per second. For the value of electrical energy produced has the largest value which reaches a value ± 6.78 × 10−5 Joule with an average energy used per second of ± 6.72 × 10−6 Joules per second.

This paper discusses the simulation of the Fuzzy-PID hybrid algorithm as a method for controlling the speed of a DC motor compared to the usual PID method. Comparisons were also made to the membership functions used in the fuzzy logic fuzzification process. Membership functions that are used are triangular, trapezoidal, and gaussian shaped function with each having 3, 5, and 7 as the number of membership to be compared. The performance of this control is compared by looking at the results of the step unit responses and the ability in tracking signals. The simulation results show that the Fuzzy-PID algorithm is superior to the ordinary PID algorithm but slower on computation time. The results of the comparison in the fuzzification process shows that the more number used in membership function, the faster the response reaches the set point, while the difference in shape has little effect on the response. The best results are achieved by fuzzy triangle shaped function with 7 membership number.
