The authors of the scientific study examine the impact of the relationship of theoretical knowledge on practical skills in technical subjects at the lower secondary level of education in the Slovak Republic. After determining the research problem and hypotheses, they bring the processed results in the form of tables and figures. Quantitative results within the pedagogical experiment are supplemented by qualitative analysis. In a scientific study, we characterize a research sample and research methods. We focus on a detailed description of problem tasks that pupils have solved in pedagogical research. Pedagogical research was carried out in four regions in the Slovak Republic. At the end of the scientific study, the authors compare the results ascertained from previously published information in the field of science. We are based on modern approaches in pedagogy, which integrate the issue of assessing pupils psychomotor skills into the field of general education. The current objectives and tasks in subjects developing cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills of pupils and specifically on the subject of technology, represent a body of knowledge and skill to be learned. In the information society, knowledge is growing in a geometric way, especially in the field of technical sciences. The knowledge that the pupil acquires at school will no longer be sufficient after solving the internship in solving the technical problems he will encounter. Scientific studies address this issue. We examine the influence of theory on the acquisition of practical skills. Both aspects are important in the development of the pupils' personality not only in the technical but also in the modern information society.

In the Slovak Republic, there are still no textbooks for technical education in lower secondary education. The authors work on creating modern electronic and multimedia textbooks. In the scientific study, the problem of verifying the new electronic textbook for technical subjects in primary school is being solved. Textbooks are important in the educational process. Before the introduction of the electronic textbook into practice, the authors decided to scientifically verify the electronic textbook in practice. In the first part of the article, they describe the characteristics of the textbook. Another part of the study is devoted to setting research hypotheses. Subsequently, the hypotheses were verified in practice. We have found that our electronic textbook has its meaning in practice. The pupils who worked with her achieved higher achievements. Differences between pupils in the control and experimental groups were also statistically significant. The differences were statistically significant at all three levels of learning according to Niemierkos taxonomy of educational objectives. This is an important finding in our research process. We can state that a quality and scientifically valid textbook will contribute to the effective teaching of technology in the Slovak Republic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The paper investigates the designing and the application of ICT-supported projects in teaching and learning Biological and Ecological Sciences oriented curricula. The purpose of ICT support is to enrich a traditional form of project learning concept with the ICT platform. Moreover, this platform provides a prerequisite for visualizing processes and phenomena at such a level of clarity that cannot be achieved with other forms of visualization. As a part of the application of the mentioned projects in teaching and learning, there are newly-designed concrete teaching models with a comprehensive methodology of their application. It focuses on the processes in electrostatic separation and precipitation. Computer simulation is highly required for equipment design and for their diagnostics in critical operating states using theoretical calculations and experimental data evaluation. The article discusses the use of bioimpedance analysis to predict presarcopenia in the elderly. It highlights the physiological changes associated with aging, the multifactorial pathogenesis of sarcopenia, and the principles of bioimpedance analysis in assessing muscle quality. It emphasizes the importance of phase angle and appendicular skeletal muscle mass for early intervention to prevent sarcopenia.
