The conveyors monorail type are used for the transfer of the products, piece by piece and they can be suspended and can operate at heights and different tasks. In this paper is presented a method for the design of the drive shaft of a monorail conveyor, by using CAD-CAE applications.

Reverse engineering represents a method to retrieve information from an existing product, information which are then used for designing a new product or to reproduce it in order to make spare parts. In this paper is presented a case study on making a spare part of complex shape from a worn part. There are presented the stages of acquisition of data by scanning, the use of reverse engineering for the realization of the 3D model, the virtual manufacturing and then the machining of the workpiece CNC machine tools.

By knowing the importance of gears in industry this paper presents the parameterized design for helical gears. Firstly, it is presented the mathematical equations for generating involute profile of tooth and after for different types of modules and number of teeth. Using the parameterized equations was made the chart for helix. The points are exported in a matrix that will be used to create the sketch of the guide curve of the tooth. This data are imported in a CAD application and with specific commands is realised the 3D model of one gear and after the helical gears. In general terms, Reverse Engineering refers to the process of obtaining the virtual 3D model from an existing product. The existence of the CAD model opens new opportunities for the development and manufacture of a new product, the virtual model being remodeled in order to obtain a new product with improved features. Manufacturing of the new product can be achieved either by computer numerically controlled machine tools or through rapid prototyping. In the current period, the reverse engineering technology has been adapted in order to allow dimensional control of parts using 3D scanners, which are efficient especially for complex parts, difficulty in verifying with traditional methods. The current stage is characterized by the steady growth of competition between manufacturing companies, which causes diversifying the range of products and find new methods to shorten the time for the development of a new product. The rapid prototyping technology allows to obtain the physical models of the products in a short time and with minimum costs, which allows the study of the designed product characteristics, before the product to be launched in the execution. Checking the products with complex shape is difficult or even impossible to achieve them with conventional methods. By development of the digital technologies, the 3D scanning becomes more and more performant and more accessible to companies. By the 3D scan may be carrying out checks for complex surfaces with appropriate accuracy in a short time. One of the most modern design techniques that reverse engineering refers to, allows to use information about a product in order to reproduce the original product (spare parts) or to get a new product with improved performance. Current methods of manufacturing are based on the 3D model of the product which must be realized. The magnetrons are the main components of the microwave devices. In order to ensure the proper functioning, there are special requirements that the microwave device must comply with, such as voltages, currents and magnetic fields needed by the magnetron to operate, cooling of the magnetron, best possible matching of the microwave components, adequate shielding against microwave leaks etc. Usually, the magnetron is fed with low-frequency electrical energy by means of a special step-up transformer, which is bulky, heavy and beyond repair in case of failure. Certain microwave device producers have come up with the idea of replacing the step-up transformer with an electronic inverter. The need for high quality joints between different materials has led to the emergence and development of new processes of joining (welding and brazing).Of these, the ultrasonic welding process is characterized in that the contact surfaces are vibrated with ultrasonic frequencies simultaneously by applying external pressure in order to increase friction. The connection is done at temperatures lower than melting, thus eliminating the heat affected zones. The modern model trains are driven nowadays by means of intricate electronic devices, called "decoders", which individually decipher and execute the commands launched by a central digital unit. These decoders must meet several important criteria, as DCC and NMRA standards compliance, small dimensions, protection against short-circuits, overload and overheating, easy programming, settings for matching to various motors and accessories etc. Because of the great complexity and minute dimensions of the digital decoders, SMD electronic components are used and up-to-date automated techniques are employed to elaborate the PCB's (Printed Circuit Board) and to assemble the components. This paper presents how color Petri nets can be used in flexible manufacturing system models.. It is studied the cell from the Faculty of Engineering Management and Technology. In this cell process four parts: two pieces of revolution and two prismatic parts. In a first variant coloured Petri nets model is made without taking into account the time factor. This does not allow a prioritization of processing and the evaluation of manufacturing cycle time. If we consider the factor of time, coloured Petri nets model allows prioritization processing by the fact that each color is associated with a part it can be attach timing. May also be taken into account the processing times through timings associated with the transitions.
