Since 1919 there has been a desire on the part of the Society of Jesus to strengthen collaboration between the Spanish Marian Congregations, whether Jesuits-led or not. Although this effort experienced an impasse in the 1930s, it was retaken after the war. One of the achievements of the Society was the creation of the National Secretariat of the Spanish Marian Congregations, whose aims were to help in the collaboration between congregations, to guide their directors in the functioning of those congregations and to motivate them to better accomplish their mission. The Secretariat, as a press organ, published a Bulletin, which was poorly analysed. Nowadays it has become essential for the study of Congregations. To facilitate such a study, an analysis of its content between 1940 and 1959 has been carried out, according to the importance given to the different topics dealt with, their frequency and chronological location. Through a survey of numerous articles connected to bulletin media in learning, this study intends to provide information on the utilization and development of bulletins as a learning medium. This study is classified as a literature review. The information data used was collected from scientific journals accredited by the Science and Technology Index (SINTA). The information was gathered by analyzing published data from 2016 through 2022. Researchers examined, analyzed, and collaborated to evaluate, assemble, and review the results. Choosing nine journal papers that investigate the use and development of bulletins as learning media. 9 articles were picked at random to represent the chosen theme research, namely the use and development of bulletin media. The literature review includes information on the title of the scientific article, the author, the source of the journal publication, the methods used, the findings, and the review's recommendations in describing specific concepts and explanations that are still missing from the essence of the scientific article. This scientific article review is meant to serve as a source of inspiration for educational progress through the use of various media in molding excellent education in accordance with national goals. This article constitutes a first attempt to approach the history of the establishment and activity of the Association of Teachers from the county and municipality of Bălți between the two world wars, through the prism of the periodical publications that it initiated, edited and promoted in those years – Association Bulletin and Magazine. Aspects regarding the history of the Association in the interwar period and its main concerns are dealt with: improving the material base of education within the county, modernizing the teaching process, defending and promoting the demands and professional rights of the teaching staff, the activity of the Teachers’ Bank from Bălți County, the organization of circles and cultural homes etc. The activity of the Association of Teachers from the city and county of Bălți between the two world wars fully confirms the truth expressed even in those years, that the fair and land of Bălți was not only an important economic and commercial center of Bessarabia, but also a strong cultural center.

Among our scientists, Jovan Cvijić (Loznica, October 12, 1865 - Belgrade, January 16, 1927) stands out by the number, scope, types and content of scientific and professional papers, printed in several languages, in Serbia and abroad. According to a number of indicators, in the scientific and journalistic sphere, until today his work has remained difficult to surpass. He is often and gladly quoted not only in the works of contemporary geographers, but also geologists, historians, ethnologists, urban planners, economists, demographers, sociologists and ecologists. Most of his work is published during his lifetime, but due to its importance, lessons and messages, part of his scientific work, is published post-humously even today. The most important are the Collected Works of Jovan Cvijić, which were published in 14 books from 1987 to 1996 by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Newspaper-Publishing Working Organization “Literary Gazette” (Književne novine) and the Institute for Textbooks and Teaching Aids, all from Belgrade. On this occasion, we present the work of Jovan Cvijić published on the pages of the magazine of the Serbian Geographical Society (Glasnik, Posebna izdanja, Atlas, Zemlja i ljudi, Globus). We especially pay attention on the Bulletin (Glasnik), the oldest geographical periodical in Serbia and on the Balkan Peninsula, which was founded by Jovan Cvijić and his associates, and whose content he unreservedly devoted to the last days of his life. Cvijić presented himself to readers through scientific papers, small prologues, reviews of foreign and domestic geographical, ethnographic and geological literature, notes and obituaries.

Abstract The Bulletin of the International Seismological Centre (ISC) remains in demand for a wide range of geophysical studies. Users of the ISC Bulletin benefit from its long-term coverage, the most comprehensive set of measurements from the majority of permanent seismic stations and networks, and homogeneity of included parameters of earthquakes and other seismic events worldwide. Despite a reasonably conservative approach in preserving the operational procedures, changes are inevitable in order to achieve the best possible accuracy of published earthquake parameters. The last fundamental change in procedures has fully affected the data for years 2011 and beyond (Bondár and Storchak in Geophys J Int 186: 1220-1244, 2011). This is why it was decided to rebuild the earlier part (1964–2010) of the ISC Bulletin to achieve compatibility in earthquake hypocentres and magnitudes through its entire period. The first article on this project (Storchak et al. in Geosci Lett 4: 32, 2017) covered the period from 1964 to 1979, as it was publicly released. This article covers the remaining period from 1980 to 2010 with all seismic events re-processed and re-located in line with the modern ISC procedures, with ~ 489,000 new events, ~ 2600 new stations, ~15.5 million new seismic arrivals, and more robust and reliable mb and MS magnitude evaluations. We give statistics of departures in epicentre location and depth between the original and rebuilt ISC hypocentres. We also provide a summary for the entire rebuilt period (1964–2010). We give a brief account of events deleted from and added to the Bulletin, based on additional reports from permanent and temporary seismic deployments. We explain that newly re-computed (rebuilt) mb is on average larger that the original mb by 0.05 unit of magnitude. The rebuilt MS is only 0.01 unit larger that its predecessor. We announce that the entire reviewed part of the ISC Bulletin (1964–2017) is now based on the same velocity model, ak135, and the same earthquake location and magnitude computation procedures. Finally, we provide advice on how to obtain the original ISC Bulletin data, where necessary.

The COVID-19 pandemic affected various sectors of society. Different interventions to control the disease were introduced, highlighting the substitution of on-site activities for remote ones. Considering the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the development of extension projects, the present paper aims to report the team experience of the project "Newsletter" from the Faculty of Medicine, Campus JK (FAMED), the Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha and Mucuri (UFVJM), during the pandemic period. We restructured the project "Newsletter" and kept the activities on by Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT). We introduced Instagram as another communication channel. The team carried out a reflexive analysis in a virtual meeting using the guiding question "How did the project Newsletter improve your professional and personal development?". The most indicated themes were: (i) the performance of the project in the pandemic context; (ii) the importance of visibility and dissemination of FAMED's information through social media; (iii) the improvement of writing skills; (iv) the strengthening of personal and academic relationships; (v) the importance of planning and organizing teamwork activities. As reported, the project provided a favorable environment for improving skills, strengthening the relationships and reducing the harmful effects caused by the social isolation imposed by the pandemic. The East European Platform (EEP) is characterized by a rather weak seismicity. The south of the Komi Republic is the most seismically active territory in the northeast of the EEP. The 1939 Sysola earthquake (grade 7), one of the strongest earthquakes in the European north of the 20th century, occurred there. Many world's seismic stations recorded an earthquake in the Priluzsky region of the republic on 9 November 2002, but it was not thoroughly studied and is not considered in literature. In this work we recalculate the parameters of the earthquake hypocenter, substantiate its tectonic nature, construct its focal mechanism, and describe its tectonic position. For processing, we used data on 86 seismic phases from 58 stations with epicentral distances from 5.9 to 57°, azimuth angles from 1.5 to 341.7°, and the maximum azimuthal gap of 70°. The following parameters of the hypocenter were obtained: t0 = 06 h 47 min 17.9 s, 59.93° N, 49.76° E, Rminor = 7.7 km, Rmajor = 10.7 km, Azmajor = 20°, h = 16 km, and Ms = 3.4/5. The earthquake is localized in the upper crust and is confined to the zone of the junction of the eastern slope of the Sysola arch and the western flank of the Kirov-Kazhim aulacogen of the Volga-Ural anteclise of the Russian Plate. We have established a strike-slip fault focal mechanism of the earthquake, which corresponds to the latest stress field of the region. The estimated axis parameters (value, azimuth, plunge) are as follows: T = 0.707, 90.0, 0; N = 0, 0, 39.792; and P = -0.707, 180.0, 50.208. The plane parameters (strike, dip, slip) are estimated at 327, 57, -140° for the first plane and 213, 57, -40° for the second plane. The recorded seismic events in the northeast of the Russian Plate indicate that the platform area is not seismically passive. The performed research shows that recent seismotectonic processes are related to the structure and state of the Earth's crust within the platform. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract The data from the Bulletin of the International Seismological Centre (ISC) have always been and still remain in demand for a wide range of studies in Geosciences. The unique features of the Bulletin include long-term coverage (1904-present), the most comprehensive set of included seismic data from the majority of permanent seismic networks at any given time in the history of instrumental recording (currently ~ 150) and homogeneity of the data and their representation. In order to preserve this homogeneity, the ISC has followed its own standard seismic event processing procedures that have not substantially changed until the early 2000s. Several considerable and necessary advancements in the ISC data collection and seismic event location procedures have created a need to rebuild the data for preceding years in line with the new procedures. Thus was set up a project to rebuild the ISC Bulletin for the period from the beginning of the ISC data till the end of data year 2010. The project is known as the Rebuild of the ISC Bulletin. From data month of January 2011, the ISC data have already been processed with the fully tested and established new procedures and do not require an alteration. It was inconceivable even to think about such a project for many tens of years, but great advances in computer power and increased support by the ISC Member-Institutions and Sponsors have given us a chance to perform this project. Having obtained a lot of experience on the way, we believe that within a few years the entire period of the ISC data will be reprocessed and extended for the entire period of instrumental seismological recordings from 1904 till present. The purpose of this article is to describe the work on reprocessing the ISC Bulletin data under the Rebuild project. We also announce the release of the rebuilt ISC Bulletin for the period 1964–1979 with all seismic events reprocessed and relocated in line with the modern ISC procedures, ~ 68,000 new events, 255 new stations, ~ 815,000 new seismic phases, more robust and reliable mb and M S magnitude evaluations and the addition of ~ 2700 new M S magnitudes.

The paper outlines science and methodological aspects of issuing bulletins for the civil aircraft and practical problems accumulated in the national aviation industry within the mentioned area. Bulletins are used to inform operators about the purpose, data content and technologies outlining the design changes accomplishment if the aircraft considered at the moment of the design changes is already at the operational stage. Hence maintaining aircraft airworthiness is impossible without making certain modifications and repairs in the design, the bulletins issuing and implementation procedures have notable impact on safety and effectiveness of air transportation.Deficiencies considered are the results of practices used since 1980 and supported by the later interstate standard GOST 31270-2004 in the field of the bulletins development and implementation, which are not in line with contemporary conditions of international civil aviation activities. Negative consequences of transferring the Soviet way of working with aircraft bulletins intothe changed conditions of the state regulation of civil aviation activities in Russia are shown as well as those for substantial com-plication of the rules and procedures in comparison to the standards of Unified System of Design Documentation.Main theses of the ICAO standards and international practice are briefly analyzed, however they are not completely presented in the national aviation regulations. The recommendations proposed are aimed to eliminate mentioned deficiencies through the standards amendment process and improvement of Russia's civil aviation regulatory base. Developed recommendations are mainly focused on the formulation of the new concept and certain content of the revised standard requirements to replace GOST 31270-2004.
