Most seaplanes used for aircraft operations in territorial waters are classified into three main types, namely floatplanes, flying boats, and amphibians. Among these, the floatplane stands out as it replaced its landing gear with two floating pontoons, known as the catamaran floater, on which the fuselage rests. Therefore, this research presented a data article on resistance testing to predict force and moment along the x, y, and z axes for a 1:10 scale model of the catamaran floater. Test data encompassed variations in trim angles 0°, −1°, and −2°, and speed ranging from 1 to 6 m/s. The results of the resistance testing are presented in the form of descriptive statistics and shown through two graphs. The first graph described the relationship between the catamaran floater's speed and the corresponding force generated. The second graph illustrated the correlation between the catamaran floater's speed and moment generated.

Investigation of hydrodynamic interaction between the vessel and the seabed when entering shallow water is considered one of the most critical considerations of inland waterway transport. There are many investigations into the behavior of ships in restricted waters, such as ships traveling in different forms of canal cross-sections. The present study aims to evaluate the hydrodynamic interaction of the 750 DWT Perintis Ship moving through the different canal types to determine the relative effects of limiting the width and depth cross section on the ship's resistance. Two different canals with different cross sections, including canal bank and rectangular canal, were evaluated to investigate the influence of canal width (Wb), depth ratio (hw/T), and blockage ratio function (As/Ac). The Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) method with Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) solver and turbulent model 𝑘−𝜀 were used to predict the total resistance of the ship. The proposed numerical simulation was initially validated with an experimental towing tank test in the error range of 0.11-7.74%. The results indicated similar phenomena were found both in rectangular and canal banks. The case with a shallower (lower hw/T) and a narrower (lower Bc/Bs) canal dimension has a higher resistance value. Backflow and subsidence of free surface became significant around the ship's hull in more restricted water, changing the ship's hydrodynamic characteristics and increasing resistance. It can be found that the higher the blockage ratio (mb), the higher the total resistance value in both canal types, which proved that ships with higher speeds were more sensitive to changes in waterway restrictions.

The research discusses about project-based on learning tools development in geometric material at class IX MtsN Gowa. This research aims to know the process of the project-based learning tools development which fulfills valid, practical, and effective criteria. The research is Research and Development (R&D) which uses the development model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The development procedure contains 5 steps are: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. The subject of the research is the students at class IX MTsN Gowa which is in one class, the instruments of the research are the validation sheet, the learning outcome test, student and teacher response questionnaire, observation sheet of the learning process, observation sheet of student activity, and observation sheet of learning management. Based on the result of trials obtained that: (1) RPP 3.24 result of validation learning instrument, 3.41 textbooks, and LKPD 3.26 in each value which obtained in the valid category. (2) Practical based on observation result of learning tools practice with an average of 1.97 is in a fully implemented category, teacher response to textbooks and LKPD gave 100% positive response, the student gave 88.2% positive responses to the textbooks and while LKPD got 82.3% positive responses. (3) Effective based on the result of observation management learning got an average of 3.80 with a very good category, student activity in the very good category with an average of 80.56%, the learning outcome test got an average of 83.82 from 100 maximum scores. In conclusion that learning tools that have been tested fill-up the criteria of valid, practical, and effective.

The wave height parameter in ocean waves is one of the important information for a marine structure design. The present paper investigates the results of wave heights distribution from laboratory-generated for single sea state. Data of the random wave time series collected at the ocean basin are analyzed using the wave spectrum and compared with the theoretical spectrum in this study. The random wave data is varied with four sea states consisting of sea states 3, 4, 5 and 6 obtained from laboratory measurements. The parameter conditions of generated sea waves are represented by a value of significant wave height and wave peak period in the range of sea states. The individual wave heights data in each sea state are presented in the form of exceedance probability distribution and the predictions using a linear model. This study aims to estimate the wave heights distribution using the Rayleigh and Weibull distribution model. Furthermore, the accuracy of the wave heights distribution data's prediction results in each sea state has been compared and examined for both models. The applied linear models indicate similar and reasonable estimations on the observed data trends.

Balancing teaching national, regional, and foreign languages presents a challenge for higher education, illustrated by the use of hypertext for multilingual communication. This study investigates the correlation between proficiency in multilingualism and cultural awareness among higher education students. Embedded mixed methods design explores the relationship between multilingualism and cultural awareness quantitatively and qualitatively in higher education in Indonesia. Participants are from various universities in Indonesia, including the State University of Makassar, the State University of Jakarta, the State University of Surabaya, Palangka Raya State Islamic Institute, Timor University, and the University of Northern Sumatra, and they have diverse ethnic and linguistic backgrounds. The questionnaire distributed via Google Form passed validity and reliability tests. The quantitative research used Pearson's r analysis of the relationship between multilingualism learning and cultural awareness. In the qualitative strand, thematic analysis investigates cultural awareness-based multilingualism learning strategies. The research findings reinforce the positive and significant relationship between multilingual learning and cultural awareness, suggesting multilingual competence not only enhances cultural knowledge and participation in cultural practices but deepens understanding of the socio-cultural context and strengthens capacity and positive attitudes towards cultural learning. The study aids practitioners in developing inclusive learning strategies and provides policymakers with empirical evidence for crafting policies to empower multicultural communities.

DOI: 10.17014/ijog.5.3.277-290The North Konawe Regency, located in the northern part of the southeast arm of Sulawesi Province, is occupied mainly by Ophiolite Complex. Recent studies on weathering of ultramafic complex have been focussed on the composition of laterite in relation to heavy metal explorations. In Asera area, North Konawe, a 3.1 m wide outcrop of ultramafic rocks is related to nickel laterite potential. In this study, an elemental change during the weathering process is discussed, including the mobilization of rare earth elements. XRF and ICP-MS from The Centre for Geological Survey of Indonesia are the two important geochemistry instruments used in this study. Si, Mg, and Ca are depleted during weathering, whilst the enriched elements are Fe, Al, Ti, and some heavy metals such as Cr, Mn, and Co. A different mobilization pattern is detected on Ni, because of its relation to Mg. Cs, Rb, and Ba are concentrated in a clayey horizon of upper laterite. The increase of REE concentrations is parallel to both Fe and Mn which rises to the top of laterite. Ce and Eu negative anomaly trends indicate oxidizing condition through the weathering process, although the studied profile, influenced by allochthon material, morphology condition, and geochemistry composition, indicates that the transported rock fragments were originated from ultramafic rock.

Roll damping sangat berperan penting pada maksimum roll terutama pada daerah resonansi disekitar roll natural period. Dalam prediksi gerak roll, prediksi roll damping dilakukan dengan metode difraksi radiasi yang menambahkan viscous roll damping dari formulasi semi empiris maupun dari uji roll decay. Pada uji roll decay akan didapatkan koefisien komponen roll damping linier dan quadratik yang selanjutnya diperlukan dalam perhitungan nilai roll damping. Nilai koefisien roll damping ini bisa diperoleh dengan melakukan fitting hasil uji roll decay dengan metode Froude maupun Bertin. Pada studi ini dilakukan analisa terhadap perubahan roll damping dan akibatnya terhadap gerak roll pada dua buah model FPU barge yang identik namun berbeda dimensi. Perubahan dimensi model benda apung akan menimbulkan perubahan pula pada karakteristik koefisien linier maupun quadtatik roll dampingnya. Dari hasil pengujian model diketahui bahwa pengurangan dimensi panjang model dengan posisi relatif titik berat dan jari-jari girasi roll tetap akan menaikan nilai koefisien roll damping 21% dari desain induknya. Kenaikan nilai koefisien roll damping didominasi oleh komponen linier. Dengan adanya kenaikan koefisien roll damping pada model yang lebih pendek menyebabkan turunnya nilai respon gerak roll melalui uji seakeeping.

Objective: Cervical cancer is the second most prevalent cancer in women around the world and the most common cancer in women causing death. This study aims to analyze the connection between infection of human papilloma virus (HPV) 16/18 and cervical changes in the acceptors of Depot Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (DMPA) Contraceptions and nonacceptors of Depot Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (DMPA) Contraceptions. Methods: The research was conducted at the Public Service Institution of Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo hospital, and private midwife clinics for seven months from December 2015 to June 2016. The research design is cross-sectional with. The samples were forty acceptors of Depot Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (DMPA) and forty non-acceptors of Depot Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (DMPA) contraception. Prevalence of HPV 16/18 and cervical cytology changes were examine using the polymerase chain reaction and liquid base cervical cytology. Results: The results showed there was no significant relationship between long-term use of DMPA contraceptives with HPV 16 and 18. There was no significant relationship between long-term use of DMPA contraceptives with cervical cytology changes. There was no significant relationship between HPV 16 and 18 infections with the occurrence of cervical cytology changes in long-term use of DMPA contraceptives. Conclusion: The long-term use of DMPA contraceptive does not increase the risk of HPV 16 and 18 infections. Also does not cause cervical cytology changes that lead to cervical malignancy. This study aims to examine the effect of the communication skills of civil servants in public service activities on community satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative method with a causality correlation approach. Communication skills as the dependent variable are measured using the Interpersonal communication skill scale. Community satisfaction in public services as an independent variable is measured using the Community Satisfaction Scale. Respondents in this study are Makassar people who often access or get public services. The data analysis technique used is simple regression analysis and descriptive statistics. The results showed that the communication skills of civil servants in public service activities had a significant effect on people's satisfaction. This finding shows that the communication ability of public service providers is an important thing that must be considered in public services. Therefore, in the future,material on communication skills needs to be integrated into training materials to increase the capacity of civil servants.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan mengembangkan dan menilai kualitas bahan ajar matematika berbasis masalah untuk memfasilitasi pencapaian penalaran siswa pada pokok bahasan perbandingan yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Research & Development (R&D) dengan mengacu pada model 4-D (Four D Models) yang disarankan oleh Thiagarajan (1974) yaitu Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. Subjek coba dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII6 MTsN Model Makassar dengan jumlah 40 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba terbatas yang dilakukan, diperoleh bahwa (a) hasil validasi bahan ajar adalah 4,71 pada kategori sangat valid karena setiap aspek untuk setiap jenis perangkat berada pada interval 4 ≤ M ≤ 5, (b) praktis karena berdasarkan hasil pengamatan keterlaksanaan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata semua komponen pengamatan keterlaksanaan adalah 1,97 dan berada pada kategori terlaksana seluruhnya (praktis) atau berada pada interval 1,5 ≤ X ≤ 2, dan (c) efektif karena telah memenuhi empat kriteria yang menjadi acuan yaitu hasil belajar siswa tercapai karena 85% siswa mencapai skor 75, aktivitas siswa dikatakan ideal, karena telah memenuhi kriteria batas toleransi pencapaian waktu ideal yang digunakan, hasil rata-rata kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran yang diperoleh yaitu 3,83 dan berada pada kriteria tinggi dalam interval 3,5 ≤ KG ≤ 4,5, dan hasil respon siswa adalah 89,25% pada kategori positif karena lebih dari 50% siswa yang memberikan respon positif. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada tahap uji coba terbatas dilaksanakan, bahan ajar matematika berbasis masalah telah memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Abstract: The aim is of this study developing and assessing the quality of problem-based mathematics teaching materials to facilitate the achievement of students reasoning on comparison subject, basedon validity, practical, and effective comparison. The type of this research is Research & Development (R & D) study with reference to 4-D model suggested by Thiagarajan (1974) which includes defining, designing, defeloping and disseminating. The subjects of this research were the students at class VII6 of Islamic Junior High School Model Makassar with a total of 40 students. Based on the results of a limited trial conducted, it was found that (a) the result of the teaching materials validation is 4.71 which is in the category is very valid because every aspect for each type of device is at the intervals of 4 ≤ M ≤ 5 , (b) It is practical because the observation result of the implementation of the developed learning material shows that the average of all observational components of the implementation is 1.97 which is in category of fully executed (practical) or at the intervals of 1,5 ≤ X ≤ 2, and (c) it is effective because it has met the four referencedcriteria; that is the result of student' learning is achieved, because 85% of students achieve the score of 75; it can be said, students’activities is ideal, because it has fulfilled the criteria of tolerance limit of the ideal achievement used; the result of the average teacher ability to manage learning is 3.8; and it is in high criterion in the intervals of 3,5 ≤ KG ≤ 4,5; and the studens’ response outcames are 89.25% which is in the positive category, because more than 50% of students have positive responses. Therefor, it can be concluded that when the limited trial stage was implemented, the problem-based mathematics material had met the validity, practicality, and effectiveness criteria.

Kapal container sebagai sarana angkutan barang berpengaruh vital terhadap laju percepatan perekonomian nasional. Kondisi perairan Indonesia yang kedalaman dan fasilitas pendukung pelabuhan bervariasi serta efisiensi operasional kapal menjadi pertimbangan dalam mendesain kapal. Penggunaan kapal sarat rendah tipe barge bermesin sebagai pengangkut container, Self Propelled Container Barge (SPCB) saat ini banyak menjadi pilihan operator kapal dalam melayani pengiriman barang dengan container. Penelitian ini menyajikan analisis hidrodinamika kapal SPCB 100 TEUs dengan metode pengujian model meliputi seakeeping, turning dan zig-zag manuvering serta resistance test. Dari hasil uji seakeeping diketahui bahwa respon gerak kapal pada kondisi gelombang sea-state 4 masih dalam batas toleransi dengan memperhatikan kombinasi kecepatan dan arah heading kapal. Kinerja manuvering turning dan zig-zag kapal dalam batas aman yang ditetapkan IMO. Dari hasil uji resistance didapatkan kecepatan maksimal yang optimum kapal adalah 12 knot. Selain besaran terukur, uji hidrodinamika dengan model memberikan gambaran fenomena saat kapal beroperasi di laut, sehingga menjadi informasi yang penting dalam desain dan operasional kapal.

Bentuk lambung haluan kapal yang tepat sangat berpengaruh pada perbaikan pola aliran air maupun penurunan tahanan gelombang yang ditimbulkan badan kapal saat beroperasi. Pada tulisan ini dilakukan kajian tentang pengaruh bentuk lambung haluan kapal yang diwakili oleh Model-A dan Model-B terhadap pola aliran, tahanan dan daya poros pada kapal yang merupakan salah satu jenis kapal perairan sungai-laut. Pada Model-B dilakukan modifikasi bentuk haluan dari Model-A. Dari hasil simulasi didapatkan bahwa peningkatan daya poros sebesar 12% saat kecepatan 14.5 knot pada Model-B atau keuntungan 3% dari penambahan displaceament 15% pada Model-B dari bentuk asli Model-A dengan operasional optimum kapal adalah pada kecepatan antara 12 dan 15 knots.

Inverted papilloma is an uncommon histopathological finding of maxillary sinus tumor. We reported here a rare case of inverted papilloma of maxillary sinus presented initially with ipsilateral proptosis. A middle-aged lady with history of having allergic rhinitis presented with progressive left eye proptosis. Assessment revealed presence of orbital mass arising from paranasal sinus, in which the histopathological examination was initially inconclusive, and later it turned up to be inverted papilloma, partly with malignant transformation. High index of suspicion is necessary especially in those patients with recurrent non-specific sinonasal symptoms, which may need repeated biopsy and histopathological examination. Ocular manifestation signifies a more advance disease.

Purpose: This study explores the relationships among multiple factors, including growth mindset, lifelong learning and continuous professional development (CPD), influencing teachers' integration of information and communication technology (ICT) into their teaching methods. Design/methodology/approach: The study involved 1,095 Indonesian vocational high school teachers who participated in in-service or preservice teacher development programs. Data was collected through a survey, and a structural equation model with partial least squares parameter estimation was used to analyze the relationships and mediations. Findings: Structural equation modeling revealed that a growth mindset positively affects both lifelong learning and CPD. Moreover, lifelong learning positively impacts CPD. Furthermore, all of these variables demonstrate a positive effect on teachers' ICT integration in the classroom. The findings indicate that lifelong learning and CPD partially mediate the relationship between a growth mindset and ICT integration. Originality/value: This study contributes to the literature on the determinants of teachers' ICT usage post-participation in in-service and preservice teacher programs. The findings underscore the significant impact of a growth mindset on teachers' ICT use in the classroom.

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model with the Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge (TPACK) Approach on the historical learning outcomes of high school students of Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan. This study uses a quasiexperiment research method. The population in this study involves all students of class XI of High School (SMA) Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan, with a sample of class XI of Social Sciences (IPS) 1 as an experiment class and class XI of Social Sciences (IPS) 3 as a control class selected by simple random sampling method. The experiment class is taught with the PBL Model with the TPACK Approach, while the control class is taught with the Discovery Learning Model. The research instrument used is in the form of test questions totaling 25 multiple choice questions that have been declared valid. In this study, two stages of the test were given, namely pretest and posttest, in the form of multiple-choice questions that have been declared valid. The pretest is given to both sample classes to determine the student's initial ability before being given treatment, while the posttest is given to both sample classes to determine the final ability of learners after treatment. Based on posttest data, the experiment class obtained an average score of 80.3 and an average score in the control class of 68.4. The data proved to be a normal and homogeneous distribution through statistical test analysis, so a hypothesis test was carried out, namely a one-party t-test that showed a significance level of [alpha] = 0.05. Thus, Ho was rejected, and Ha was accepted, meaning that there was an influence of the PBL Model with the TPACK Approach on the historical learning outcomes of the high school students.

The advancement of technology like artificial intelligence (AI) provides a chance to help teachers and students solve and improve teaching and learning performances. The goal of this review is to add to the conversation by offering a complete overview of AI in mathematics teaching and learning for students at all levels of education. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted using established and robust guidelines. We follow the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA). We searched ScienceDirect, Scopus, Springer Link, ProQuest, and EBSCO Host for 20 AI studies published between 2017 and 2021. The findings of the SLR indicate that AI approach used in mathematics education forthe samples studied were through robotics, systems, tools, teachable agent, autonomous agent, and a comprehensive approach. Then, it can be shown that the majority of the collected studies were carried out in the USA and Mexico. The analysis revealed that most of the reviewed studies used quantitative research methods. The types of themes for AI in mathematics education were categorized into advantages and disadvantages, conceptual understanding, factors, role, idea suggestion, strategies and effectiveness.

The level of physical fitness during the coronavirus pandemic has become a basic need because exercise can increase immunity and improve physical fitness. Lack of physical activity during a pandemic can increase the risk of disease and obesity. So that the nutritional status increases while it is not accompanied by physical activity in sports students. This study aims to determine the level of physical fitness in terms of its relationship with nutritional status and learning achievement of students of the Sports Science Study Program at the State University of Medan. This research is a correlational study to find the relationship between two or more variables. This study has two independent variables, namely physical fitness and nutritional status, and one dependent variable, namely learning achievement in practical courses. The participants in this study were students following the Physical Fitness training course, amounting to 42 students. The results in this study indicate that there is no significant relationship between nutritional status and student achievement. There is a significant relationship between physical fitness and student achievement. There is a significant relationship between nutritional status and physical fitness with student achievement. Physical fitness contributed to student learning achievement by providing an effective contribution of 39%, while nutritional status was 72.53%.

Inter-religious harmony is crucial in maintaining political and national stability. Living in a peaceful and harmonious environment is important when the society consists of diverse races and religious adherents. The existence of minor tension in the society to some extent has jeopardised inter-religious relations. The failure to preserve religious harmony could expose the society to conflict and chaos. Thus, this paper aims to discuss and elaborate the pertinent elements in sustainable harmony among multi-religious society in Perak. The paper elaborates on the fundamental factors contributing to socio-religious harmony among multi-religious society. Library research method is used in addressing the situation of religious harmony in Perak and the pertinent element should be fostered in order to preserve religious harmony. This paper also emphasises that elements such as acceptance, understanding, co-operation as well as right and justice are significant elements in sustaining religious harmony. Hence, the discussion is aimed to build a sustainable concept of multi-religious harmony in Perak. The findings could also encourage multi-religious society to maintain and build a strong relationship among them.

It is the teacher's responsibility in paying serious attention on highlighting the 21st century way of learning in transforming the education system, focusing on equipping students with communication skills, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. This 21st century learning requires suitable teaching aids to achieve the learning objectives. Online game-based learning is considered as one of the new methods, which is capable of raising students' engagement and active learning. This study aimed to obtain the pre-university students' perception on the usage of Kahoot! in enhancing their engagement and active learning in the Biology classroom. In addition, this study also aimed to identify the dominant factors that encourage students to engage in learning and facilitating sessions in order to enhance students' active learning. A quantitative research methodology using survey was implemented in this study. A total of 100 students from pre-university colleges at the northern Malaysia were involved as the sample of this study. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 24.0 to obtain descriptive analysis as well as inferential analysis. The findings indicated that the students believed that Kahoot! can attract them to participate in learning sessions and enhance the students' active learning. Students also agreed that the dominant factors that it motivates them to engage in learning and facilitate sessions, as there is a good interaction and communication between partners and teachers. Hence the findings of this study are expected to encourage teachers especially in pre-university level to integrate the usage of online game approaches such as Kahoot! in Biology subjects to enhance the students' engagement and active learning. This is in line with the needs of the current pedagogy that further stimulates the atmosphere of active learning in the classroom leading towards the revolution industry 4.0 and the 21st century learning.

Purpose: Leadership styles and school performance in educational sector are correlated in the sense that to improve the quality of education, there is a great need to develop the professional capabilities of school leaders-- the headmaster, head teachers and department heads, who are responsible for managing school resources effectively and efficiently. In Indonesia particularly, educational management through good leadership is one of the most required aspects to develop. Research Methodology: The study examines leadership styles of school heads from sample schools around Medan city in the Province of North Sumatra, Indonesia and critically analyze their performance styles in running schools. A correlational survey design was employed, which helped establish the relationship between leadership styles and management performance in schools. The study involved examining documentation, visiting schools, and holding discussions with various head teachers and department heads purposively to evaluate the current status of educational management in Indonesia. Findings: The findings revealed that good performance of a school depends on good governance and better leadership style of the school head, established as performance characteristics that every school leadership must possess. Implications: The present study will be a useful contribution to understand the leadership styles and school performance in the Indonesian education sector. It will provide useful insights of leadership styles as a crucial element in growth and development of the Indonesian education sector.

This research development is motivated by low learning outcomes Art Culture students of class XI software engineering 1 SMK Negeri 14 Medan. This study aims to (1) describe the design of blended learning development, (2) to describe the validity of the blended learning development result, and (3) to know the effectiveness of the use of blended learning on the subjects of Art Culture. The type of this research is development research using ADDIE model. Data in the study was collected using document recording method, questionnaire, and test. Instruments used in data collection are document recording reports, questionnaire sheets, and multiple-choice objectives. The collected data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis technique, quantitative descriptive analysis technique, and inferential statistical analysis technique/inductive t-test. The results of the research show that (1) the design of blended learning development through ADDIE model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, (2) validation product validated from expert and user review with (a) subjects showed excellent predicated blended learning (90.53%); (b) the results of the design review indicated that blended learning was very good (93%); (c) the results of the media review indicated that blended learning was very good (95%); (d) individual trial results, small group trials, and field trials showed that blended learning predicate very good (98.82%), good (87.84%), and very good (92.55%), (3) on the efficacy test of blended learning shows that the result of t-count (22.07)> t-table (2.007). This means, there are significant differences in student learning outcomes between before and after using blended. Thus blended learning is developed effectively to improve Art Culture learning outcomes.
