This study was carried out in the Çankırı province between 2013 and 2014. In this study, 48 species from 11 families (Anthocoridae, Berytidae, Coreidae, Cydnidae, Lygaeidae, Nabidae, Piesmatidae, Reduviidae, Rhopalidae, Scutelleridae, Tingidae) were recorded. 38 of these species are reported for the first time Heteroptera fauna of Çankırı.

The paper presents unknown ultrastructure observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) of aedeagus, spermatheca and ovipositor of Julodis ehrenbergii Laporte (Coleoptera: Buprestidae: Julodinae) from Turkey. The studied specimens were collected from cankiri and corum provinces which are new provincial records for Turkey, in July and August 2021. The genus Julodis Eschscholtz includes 49 species in the Palearctic region, while it is represented by seven species in Turkey. One of them, J. ehrenbergii Laporte is represented by only the nominate subspecies in Turkey. As known, aedeagus, spermatheca and ovipositor are taxonomically important structures. Before the present study, however, there are no work on these structures of J. ehrenbergii Laporte. For this reason, ultrastructural and detailed investigations of aedeagus, spermatheca and ovipositor of J. ehrenbergii Laporte from Turkey were firstly studied with SEM and stereo microscope to obtain new diagnostic characters in the genus Julodis Eschscholtz. The female spermatheca is found insignificant and not diagnostic but aedeagus is found important for diagnosis. In addition, the ultrastructural characters of the ovipositor can also be useful for diagnosis. Photos in SEM as well as photos in the stereo microscope are also given in the text. Highlights Ultrastructural and detailed investigations of aedeagus, spermatheca and ovipositor of Julodis ehrenbergii Laporte from Turkey were firstly studied with scanning electron microscope (SEM) and stereo microscope to obtain new diagnostic characters in the genus Julodis Eschscholtz. This article includes new species, new subspecies, new records and new records for provinces added to the fauna of Turkey Chrysomelidae since 2014. This study, It has been prepared by considering the publications of researchers who have contributed to the Turkish Chrysomelidae fauna since 2014. Since 2014, Turkish and foreign researchers have added a total of 15 new species (Labidostomis (Labidostomis) leonardii sp. nov., Bruchidius planicornis sp. nov., Luperus doeberli n. sp., Cryptocephalus (Cryptocephalus) cilicius n. sp., Rhodopaea heinzi sp.n. Scelolyperus perreus Bezděk sp. nov., Chrysolina (Lopatinica) kabalaki sp. n., Cheilotoma cankiriensis spec. nov., Labidostomis atkaracalarica sp. nov., Hydrothassa (Agrostithassa) anatolica sp. nov., Argopus circumaedeagus sp. nov., Cassida alidagiense sp. nov.; Aphthona harputensis sp. nov.; Phyllotreta bilgeae sp. nov.; Phyllotreta aygulae sp. nov.) 18 new registrations and 2 new record subspecies (Cryptocephalus rugicollis otomana sub sp. n., Chrysolina (Chalcoidea) sanguineocincta pinarbasiense subsp. nov.) to the Chrysomelidae fauna in Turkey. As a result, with the contributions of Turkish and foreign researchers, 4 new species belonging to the Alticinae subfamily; 1 new species belonging to Bruchinae subfamily; 1 new species belonging to Cassidinae subfamily; 3 new species and 1 subspecies belonging to subfamily Chrysomelinae; 3 new species belonging to the subfamily Clytrinae; 2 new species belonging to Galerucinae subfamily and 1 new species belonging to Eumolpinae subfamily have been added to the Turkish Chrysomelidae fauna. The number of subfamily species increased with new species and new subspecies on 7 subfamilies. Which researcher contributed to the Chrysomelidae fauna of Turkey which study is seen in the tables given in our study.

Aedeagus of the type species of seven subgenera in the genusCassidaLinnaeus, 1758have been studied and figured. Twenty aedeagal structures of these species of were evaluated in detail under both stereo microscope and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).Contrary of popular acceptance, it is demonstrated that the characteristics of the aedeagal structure, which can be obtained with SEM studies especially, can be diagnostic at almost all taxonomic levels The characters; however, will have different values for different taxonomic categories. As a result of this study, seven diverse aedeagal characters are found generally constant within species, but distinct and useful in comparison with other species [as 1. characteristics of apex in dorsal view (D2), 2. general shape in lateral view (L7), 3. the ratio of the distance between posterior margin of the dorsal plate and the apex to the entire length of the median tube in dorsal view (D11), 4. the ratio of the width of apical part to the width of basal part of median lobe in lateral view (L4), 5. the ratio of the width of apex to the width of apical part in dorsal view (D3), 6. surface structure of the apical part in front of orifice including apex in dorsal view (D5), 7. surface structure behind orifice in dorsal view (D6)]. Also, as an important output of the study, it is observed that the type species and therefore the subgenera can be divided chiefly into 3 diverse group based on aedeagal structures:C. seraphinainC.(Alledoya),C. nebusainC.(s. str.) andC. hemisphaericainC.(Mionychella) as Group I;C. nobilisinC.(Cassidulella) as Group II;C. viridisinC .(Odontionycha),C. brevisinC.(Onychocassis)andC. murreainC.(Pseudocassida) as Group III. The new grouping is discussed with the grouping according to host plants and with the grouping in previous stereo microscopic works due to there is no available SEM studies. These previous groupings do not seem to be compatible with the results obtained with this study. Based on the ultrastructure of aedeagus, the genusCassidaLinnaeus, 1758is a polyphyletic group, not monophyletic.In addition, as a side outcome of the work,Cassida hemisphericaHerbst, 1799 is reported for the first time with a verified locality record from Turkey. Moreover, the habitus of adults of the species examined and a diagnostic key to species examined based on the external and aedeagal morphological characters of adults is also provided.

Bu çalışma, 2001-2008 yılları arasında Türkiye’nin farklı yerlerinden toplanan ve Gazi Üniversitesi Zooloji Müzesi’nde saklanan 1481 cantharid örneğine dayanmaktadır. Örneklerin değerlendirilmesinden sonra, Cantharinae alt familyasına ait 7 cins, 22 tür ve Malthininae alt familyasına ait 1 cins, 1 tür belirlendi. Bu çalışma sonucunda, türlerin Dünya ve Türkiye’de yayılışları, araştırma alanları ile erkek cinsel organlarının ve genel görünümlerinin fotoğrafları verildi.

Length of body 6.50 mm, width 3.75 mm. This new subspecies differs from the nominotypical one and the other one body length and aedeagal characters chiefly (Figs. 3-6). The new subspecies is relatively small one than the others. According to Warchalowski (2010), body length is about 7.0 mm in the subspecies Chrysolina sanguineocincta sanguineocincta (Crotch, 1871) and Chrysolina sanguineocincta bodemeyeri (Weise, 1910). Body length is 5.75-6.50 mm in the new subspecies. In dorsal and ventral view, apex of aedeagus is suddenly narrowed. Narrowed apical part of aedeagus is relatively elongated in Chrysolina marginata (Linnaeus, 1758) while narrowed apical part of aedeagus is moderately long and relatively shorter in Chrysolina sangineocincta (Crotch, 1871). In the new subspecies, aedeagus is stouter than the other two subspecies of Chrysolina sanguineocincta (Crotch, 1871) in general view. Sudden narrowing before the apical part is the most sharp, so that a prominent shoulder-like structure is formed on both sides in the new subspecies. This character is much weaker in Chrysolina sanguineocincta sanguineocincta (Crotch, 1871) and it is rounded in Chrysolina sanguineocincta bodemeyeri (Weise, 1910), so does not exist (Fig. 5). Female: Unknown. Distribution: The new subspecies is known only from Kayseri province (Pınarbaşı: Kılı��kışla), Aksaray province (Kocaş) in Central Anatolian region of Turkey and Afyonkarahisar province (Emirdağ) in Aegean region of Turkey. For the time being, the subspecies is endemic to the Turkey. The paper presents confirmations with exact locality data of the presence in Turkey of four little known species-group taxa in the leaf-beetle generaChrysolinaMotschulsky, 1860 andClytraLaicharting, 1781. The presence in Turkey of all of the aforementioned species-group taxa has been reported mostly as there are in Anatolia without exact locality data up to now. So that the presence in Turkey of these species-group taxa is confirmed again with exact locality data for the first time.Chrysolina(Sulcicollis)impavidaBechyné, 1949 andClytra(Ovoclytra)ovata borealisMedvedev & Kantner, 2002 are confirmed with exact locality data after 70 years and 17 years since their original description respectively. Also,Clytra(Ovoclytra)weiseiMonros, 1953 is confirmed with exact locality data after 16 years since Warchalowski (2003). In addition,Clytra(Clytraria)valeriana tauricaMedvedev, 1961 is confirmed with exact locality data after 9 years since Palaearctic catalogue of Regalin & Medvedev (2010)

It is accepted that malegenitalia are not diagnostic, spermatheca are partly diagnostic within thegenus Cassida Linnaeus, 1758.However, so far, it appears that genital studies are based solely on stereomicroscopy. Ultrastructures of genitalia have been not studied except for a fewstudies. In this study, female genital structure belonging to three Cassida atrata Fabricius, 1787 specimenscollected from Kayseri and Niğde provinces in 1996 and 2018 from Turkey wasexamined for the first time in SEM in order to determine whetherultrastructural studies are useful from taxonomic point of view. Thus, newdiagnostic characters were obtained and it revealed that it was diagnostic forspecies in other subgenus. Photos of spermatheca taken by both SEM and stereomicroscope are also given., Cassida Linnaeus, 1758 cinsiiçerisinde genel olarak erkek genitalinin ayırt edici olmadığı, spermateka’nınise kısmen ayırt edici olduğu kabul edilmektedir. Bununla birlikte şimdiyekadar yapılan genital çalışmalarının sadece stereo mikroskoba dayalı olduğugörülmektedir. Genital yapıların ultrastrüktürel yapısı birkaç çalışma dışındaçalışılmamıştır. Ultrastrüktürel çalışmaların taksonomik açıdan kullanışlı olupolmadığını ortaya koymak amacıyla bu çalışmada Türkiye’den 1996 ve 2018yıllarında Kayseri ve Niğde illerinden toplanan toplam üç Cassida atrata Fabricius, 1787 örneğine ait dişi genital yapısıSEM’de ilk defa olarak incelenmiştir. Bu sayede, yeni ve ayırt edicikarakterler elde edilmiş ve diğer bir alt cinsteki daha önce çalışmış türlerdenayırt edici olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. Dişi genitalinin hem SEM hem de stereomikroskop fotoğrafları da çalışma içerisinde sunulmuştur.
