Diabetes Mellitus (DM) appears to be a risk factor for hearing loss. Meta-analyses of cross-sectional studies reported that diabetes had a greater risk of hearing impairment. Hearing loss and hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), a glycemic management biomarker, have been linked in a few studies. HbA1c and hearing impairment as measured by a pure-tone average threshold of frequencies (500 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz), while the other two found a link between HbA1c and high-frequency hearing impairment. The goal of this study is to see if the amount of HbA1c level is linked to the occurrence of hearing loss. Participants were 430 of both genders between the ages of 21 to 60 years and based on the duration of HbA1c level. Results indicated that the higher HbA1c level patient had high-frequency hearing loss when compared to speech frequencies in both ears. As the HbA1c level increases an increase in the high-frequency hearing loss was also noticed. A positive correlation exists between the duration of diabetics and high-frequency hearing loss. Moreover, when diabetic duration increases, the hearing loss is more affected in extended high frequency, high frequency followed by speech frequency among uncontrolled DM than controlled DM in both ears. These findings suggest that proper glycemic management might help avoid diabetic hearing loss.

Medicinal plants based traditional systems of medicines are playing an important role in providing healthcare to large section of population, especially in developing countries. Herbal medicines are the fundamental method adopted in traditional methods to cure various diseases and physiological conditions. They are Siddha, Ayurveda,Unani, Folklore, Ethanomedicine and Naturopathy. Some of the traditional medicines are still used by man for their habitual treatment for various diseases. Phyto-chemicals are non-nutritive plant chemicals that have protective or disease preventive properties. Phytochemicals are used for the prevention and treatment of many health conditions including cancer, heart disease, diabetes, blood pressure, kidney disease, psychiatric illness, skin disease and arthritis and high blood pressure. The most important of these bioactive constituents of plants are steroids, terpenoids, carotenoids, flavanoids, alkaloids, phenolic compounds, tannins and glycosides. Medicinal plant drug discovery continues to provide new and important leads against various pharmacological targets including cancer, HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer’s disease. List of Bio Medicines derived from plant sources were collected and searched in the published papers, research articles, text books and grey articles. In those more than 75 % are identified from the published papers and research articles. Remaining 25 % only obtained from text books and grey articles. Totally 123 bio-medicine compounds were identified from various plant sources, these compounds are used in many form of medicines in modern system as chemical entity. It is concluding that most of the bio medicine compounds were isolated or modified only from plant sources. The individual compounds may produce more adverse effects but the natural plant sources are very much less to produce complications when they are given in a appropriate doses.

In this study the sol-gel method was used to create a composite of titanium oxide nanoparticles (TiO2- NPs) @ ZnO nanoparticles (TiO2 @ ZnO). Using a hydrothermal process, the TiO2@ZnO nanocomposite (NC) was changed via wreathing cadmium sulphide nanoparticles (CdS NPs) (TiO2@ZnO–CdS). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX) were employed to investigate the TiO2@ZnO–CdS NC. The CdS NPs are uniformly distributed over the TiO2@ZnO NC. According to FESEM analysis. TiO2@ZnO–CdS NC is used to detect imidazole at low concentrations and assess cytotoxicity. The TiO2@ZnO–CdS NC has been found to have the best electrochemical sensing activity and considerable cytotoxicity against A549 lung cancer cells.

This abstract describes an IoT-based system for fault detection and diagnosis in solar PV panels. The proposed Fuzzy logic-based fault detection algorithms aims to improve the performance and reliability of solar PV panels, which can be affected by various faults such as shading, soiling, degradation, and electrical faults. The system includes wireless sensor nodes that are deployed on the panels to collect data on their electrical parameters and environmental conditions, such as temperature, irradiance, and humidity. The collected data is then transmitted to a central server for processing and analysis using machine learning algorithms. The system can detect and diagnose faults in real-time, and provide alerts and recommendations to maintenance personnel to take appropriate actions to prevent further damage or downtime. The system has several advantages over traditional manual inspection and maintenance methods, including reduced downtime, lower maintenance costs, and improved energy efficiency. The proposed system has been validated through experimental tests, and the results show that it can accurately detect and diagnose faults in solar PV panels with high reliability and efficiency.

Healthcare is one of the fastest growing sectors of the US economy, employing over 12 million workers with women representing about 80% of the healthcare workforce. Rates of occupational injury to healthcare workers have risen over the past decade. Safety issues facing by the organizations include back injuries, slips and falls, laser hazards, chemical exposures, biological hazards, workplace violence, and community safety issues. A cause of accident is a result of hazard. A careless or uncontrolled hazard results in a major accident or a minor hazard. Now- a- days; orientation, training, education has been dine as a record for documentation. This kind of activity results in poor knowledge in job and hazard. The objective of this paper is to know about the responsibility of an individual based on leadership approach to be carried out in an organization, their work practice of effective management along with hazard control analysis and job hazard analysis (JHA), also called a job safety analysis (JSA), a technique to identify the dangers of specific tasks in order to reduce the risk of injury to workers. This promotes to know what the hazards are; reduce or eliminate them before anyone gets hurt. Also impacts on both overt and covert cultures of organization. This helps the organization to maintain revenues, minimize losses, serve communities and meet regularities and accreditation requirements.

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate the short-term safety and efficacy of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) with the LOTUS Edge system. BACKGROUND The LOTUS Edge system was commercially re-released in April 2019. The authors report the first European experience with this device. METHODS A multicenter, single-arm, retrospective registry was initiated to evaluate short-term clinical outcomes. Included cases are the first experience with this device and new implantation technique in Europe. Clinical, echocardiographic, and computed tomographic data were analyzed. Endpoints were defined according to Valve Academic Research Consortium-2 and were site reported. RESULTS Between April and November 2019, 286 consecutive patients undergoing TAVR with the LOTUS Edge system at 18 European centers were included. The mean age and Society of Thoracic Surgeons score were 81.2 �� 6.9 years and 5.2 �� 5.4%, respectively. Nearly one-half of all patients (47.9%) were considered to have complex anatomy. Thirty-day major adverse events included death (2.4% [n��=��7]) and stroke (3.5% [n��=��10]). After TAVR, the mean aortic valve area was 1.9 �� 0.9��cm2, and the mean transvalvular gradient was 11.9 �� 5.7��mm��Hg. None or trace paravalvular leak (PVL) occurred in 84.4% and moderate PVL in 2.0%. There were no cases of severe PVL. New permanent pacemaker (PPM) implantation was required in 25.9% among all patients and 30.8% among PPM-naive patients. CONCLUSIONS Early experience with the LOTUS Edge system demonstrated satisfactory short-term safety and efficacy, favorable hemodynamic data, and very low rates of PVL in an anatomically complex cohort. New PPM implantation remained high. Further study will evaluate if increasing operator experience with the device and new implantation technique can reduce the incidence of PPM implantation.
