Abstract

The article presents a study on the outcome of restricting mobile phone use among undergraduates in Nigerian university libraries. Topics covered include the introduction of the Global System Mobile (GSM) in Nigeria after the country's telecommunication liberalization, the right to telephone conversation safeguarded by Nigeria's 1999 constitution, and the policy recommendations for libraries to address the issue of mobile phone use inside the library.
