A new species of the genus Phytocoris Fallen, subgenus Compsocerocoris, is described from southeastern Anatolia, Turkey: Phytocoris iyribozi sp. n. The new species is closely related to the species of the dashtanus species-group within the subgenus but differs from them by remarkably small size, short first antennal segment, small ocular index of male and shape of left paramere. To distinguish the new species, an updated identification key of the dashtanus species-group is presented. Additionally, a checklist of Phytocoris species of Turkey with chorotypes of each species is given. A total of 43 species of Phytocoris is listed from Turkey and the chorotype analysis revealed that 23.3% (10 of 43) of species are endemic to Turkey and 60.6% (26 of 43) are distributed only locally in Turkey and its neighbouring countries.

Treatment of genetic disorders by genomic manipulation has been the unreachable goal of researchers for many decades. Although our understanding of the genetic basis of genetic diseases has advanced tremendously in the last few decades, the tools developed for genomic editing were not efficient and practical for their use in the clinical setting until now. The recent advancements in the research of Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats (CRISPR) and CRISPR-associated protein (Cas) systems offered an easy and efficient way to edit the genome and accelerated the research on their potential use in the treatment of genetic disorders. In this review, we summarize the clinical trials that evaluate the CRISPR/Cas systems for treating different genetic diseases and highlight promising preclinical research on CRISPR/Cas mediated treatment of a great diversity of genetic disorders. Ultimately, we discuss the future of CRISPR/Cas mediated genome editing in genetic diseases.

The research was based on a short but intensive collecting trip made in April-September 2018-2020. Twenty two species were reported, many firstly recorded for collecting sites. From these species, 1 species belonging to each of the Stenocephalidae, Pyrrhocoridae, Reduviidae, Nabidae, Tingidae, Orsillidae, Artheneidae, Cymidae, Coreidae and Scutelleridae families, 2 species belonging to each Miridae and Lygaeidae (sensu stricto) families, 2 species belonging to Rhopalidae family, 3 species belonging to Pentatomidae family and 3 species belonging to Rhyparochromidae family were obtained. The most of these taxa are new records for these locations.

This study is prepared to provide an example for the utility of citizen science in faunistic research, which is becoming popular as a data source, especially for invasive alien species. With the globalization tendency of many living species by human impact, alien species rapidly spread far from their natural distribution range and become invasive in their newly settled ecosystems. Some of these invasive alien species become one of the most important problems for nature. This study focuses on distribution of following eight alien Hemiptera species that have previously been recorded from Turkey: Zelus renardii (Reduviidae), Corythucha arcuata and Corythucha ciliata (Tingidae), Leptoglossus occidentalis (Coreidae), Perillus bioculatus and Halyomorpha halys (Pentatomidae), Stictocephala bisonia (Membracidae) and Metcalfa pruinosa (Flatidae). New distributional and seasonality data for all these species are presented based on observations shared by citizen scientists in the websites Doğalhayat and iNaturalist. New provincial records for each species are given. As a result, it is apparent that citizen science is an important data source, supplies remarkable contribution for increasing the understanding on expansion of invasive alien species as well as providing clear picture on their distribution.

In this study, the following three species of Lygaeoidea were recorded from Turkey: Emblethis solitarius Jakovlev, 1882; Orsillodes longirostris Puton, 1884 (both Rhyparochromidae) and Horvathiolus kiritshenkoi kiritshenkoi Josifov, 1965 (Lygaeidae). Among them E. solitarius Jakovlev, 1881 was recorded from Turkey for the first time and additional data on the distribution of H. kiritshenkoi kiritshenkoi and O. longirostris previously known only from one or two localities from Turkey was added. Horvathiolus kiritshenkoi kiritshenkoi was redescribed and new diagnostic characters were added. Photographs of macropterous form of H. kiritshenkoi kiritshenkoi and adult forms of the other two species were given. Supplementary material of Adelphophylus oenderi Çerçi, Koçak & Tezcan, 2019 (Miridae: Phylinae) was also reported. In this study, Fulvius anatolicus Çerçi & Gorczyca sp. n., Orthotylus (Pinocapsus) kmenti Çerçi & Koçak sp. n. (Miridae) and Lasiacantha karamanensis Çerçi & Koçak sp. n. (Tingidae) are described from Turkey. Dorsal habitus of each species, male and female genitalia of F. anatolicus sp. n. and male genitalia of O. (P.) kmenti sp. n. are illustrated. Differential diagnostic features between closely related species and the new species are given. Additionally, Hallodapus costae (Miridae) and Tempyra biguttula (Rhyparochromidae) are recorded from Turkey for the first time. Latter is a new alien species for the fauna of Turkey.

In this study, genus Mecidea is recorded from Turkey for the first time with the species Mecidea lindbergi Wagner, 1954. The newly recorded species is compared with the similar species of the genus Mecidea distributed in the Middle East.

EgeUn###, In this paper, two new Miridae species are described from Turkey, Adeiphophylus oenderi sp. nov. from Silifke (Mersin province) and Phytocoris (Exophytocoris) carapezzai sp. nov. from Merkez (Karaman province). Habitus of males and females and male genitalia of both species and female genitalia of A. oenderi sp. nov. are illustrated. Additionally, 10 Heteroptera species are recorded from Turkey for the first time: Campylomma miyamotoi Yasunaga. 2001. Compsidolon (Compsidolon) elegantulum Reuter, 1899, Hallodapus concolor (Reuter, 1890), Maurodactylus kukuensis V. G. Putshkov, 1978, Pinalitus viscicola (Puton. 1888), Platycranus alkestis Linnavuori, 1999, Zanchius breviceps (Wagner, 1951), Montandoniola moraguesi (Paton, 1896), Temnostethus (Temnostethus) gracilis Horvath, 1907, and Plinthisus (Isioscytus) minutissimus Fieber, 1864. Campylomma miyamotoi Yasunaga, 2001, an Eastern Palaearctic species bound to the ornamental Albizia julibrissin, is a new potentially alien species in the Western Palaearctic. The species status of Compsidolon (Compsidolon) parietariae V. G. Putshkov, 1984 is discussed.

A new species of the genus Isometopus, Isometopus anlasi sp. nov. (Heteroptera: Miridae) is described based on both male and female specimens. Habitus of male, female and last instar nymph, and parameres are illustrated. Data on biology and plant associations of the new species are also recorded. Additionally, an updated key for the European and Middle Eastern species of Isometopus is provided.
