Histomorphological and histochemical studies were conducted on the caecal tonsils of Kadaknath fowl at different age groups from day old to more than 32 weeks of age. The proximal dilated part of the caecum considered for caecal tonsil was composed of all four histological layers. The epithelium of mucosal villi was composed of simple columnar with goblet cells. The lymphatic tissue was present in the mucosa and submucosa of the caeca in the form of diffused and encapsulated lymphatic nodules. The number and size of encapsulated lymphatic nodule was increasing with the advancement of the age. The height of the mucosal villi was decreasing with the advancement of age whereas the lumen of the caeca was increasing with the advancement of age. The present study was carried out on twenty uropygial gland of Kadaknath breed of poultry. The samples were fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin and were processed by routine paraffin embedding technique and paraffin sections of 5 to 7 µ were subjected to histological and histochemical study. Histologically, the uropygial gland was enclosed by a moderate thick capsule which was comprised of collagen fibres with few elastic and reticular fibres along with the blood vessels, adipose tissue, smooth muscle fibres and Herbstcorpuscles. The gland parenchyma was composed of many secretary tubules, that filled with fat droplet and that opened into the central ducts. The tubular epithelial cells were classified into germinative, intermediate, secretary and degenerative layers. Lymphatic aggregations and nodules were observed towards the central cavity as well as between the ductules. Melanin pigmentation was characteristic feature regarding Kadaknath breed which were abundant between ductules and secretary tubules of uropygial gland. The capsule, intertubularseptae and duct showed intense PAS and Alcian blue-PAS activity whereas intense to moderate activity of PAS were found in all four layers of tubular epithelium. The present study was carried out on eye ball of the adult Marwari goat (Capra hircus) by two-dimensional B-mode ultrasonography (USG) using linear array transducer. Sonoanatomy of the eye ball revealed cornea as a thin hyper echoic layer which formed the anterior wall of the anterior chamber. The cornea appeared as a double-peaked echo (2 convex interfaces) with a central, narrow anechoic space. The anterior chamber and vitreous body were visualized having anechoic appearance, with few reflectors. The ciliary body and iris were seen as echogenic linear structure which extends from the peripheral globe towards the lens. The corpora nigra or iridica granules were seen as an echogenic round structure on the anterior surface of the dorsal iris. The anterior lens capsule was appeared as a convex echogenic line which was separated from the concave echogenic line of the posterior lens capsule by the anechoic lens. The vitreal chamber was filled with anechoic fluid. The retinal layer was appeared as linear echogenic line. Echo-biometrical observations of the eye ball were measured. The mean value of the anterior chamber depth, antero-posterior depth of the lens, vitreous chamber depth sand antero-posterior axis of the globe were 0.27 ± 0.02 cm, 0.80 ± 0.01 cm, 1.14 ± 0.01 cm and 2.13 ± 0.01 cm, respectively. Two male pigeons that are died due to accidental injury in the college premises after death tissue sample of lung were collected for histoarchitectural observations. The secondary bronchi, parabronchi, atria, infundibula and air capillaries were together with connective tissues constituted lobules of lungs. The epithelium of air capillaries and the endothelium of blood capillaries were separated by basement membrane only. Air and blood capillaries were intermingled with each other to form the blood-gas barrier. Histoarchitectural observations of lungs were made from the section stained with haematoxylin and eosin (H&E).
