Study of the mechanism of heavy quarkonia production is a powerful tool for a better understanding of the dynamics of strong interactions and probably to search for new physics. It is well-known that the fragmentation mechanism is dominant for heavy quarkonia production and forms the nonperturbative aspect of hadron production. Since the main contribution of J ∕ ψ production in high energy processes results from the gluon fragmentation, through this work, we study the fragmentation mechanism of gluon into S-wave vector heavy charmonium J ∕ ψ at lowest order perturbative QCD and extend our work to the noncommutative standard model. To investigate the effects of space–time noncommutativity, we employ the Seiberg–Witten maps. Our results show that the noncommutative effects are considerable, specifically when the gluon transverse momentum is small; p T < 3 0 GeV. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

It has long been thought -provoking and challenging for researchers to design and produce a special low - modulus β titanium alloy such as Ti-35Nb-7Zr-5Ta, representing optimal mechanical properties needed to simulate bone tissue successfully. To identify the key effects of processing pathways on the development of microstructure, 'Young's modulus, and strength, a nominal Ti-35Nb-7Zr-5Ta alloy was made via casting, hot forging, homogenizing, cold rolling and finally annealing. Results from tensile tests alongside microscopic and XRD analysis confirm the important influence of the processing method on fully β phase microstructure, low elastic modulus, and high strength of the alloy. The specimen with post -deformation annealing at 500°C demonstrated the 'Young's modulus of 49.8 GPa, yield strength of 780 MPa, and ultimate tensile strength of 890 MPa, all of which are incredibly close to that of bone, hence suitable for orthopedic implants. The purpose of this study was to investigate the electrochemical corrosion properties of flame‐sprayed Al and Al/(5, 10, 15)% Ti3SiC2 coatings in a 3.5% NaCl solution. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (EDS) were used for analyzing the microstructural characteristics of the coatings. For examining the corrosion behavior of the coatings, a potentiodynamic polarization test and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used. After the potentiodynamic polarization test, the SEM micrograph of coatings indicated that Ti3SiC2 particles played a significant role in pitting corrosion. The results of potentiodynamic polarization tests revealed that Al/Ti3SiC2 coating is nobler than that of the pure aluminum coating. On the contrary, the addition of Ti3SiC2 particles reduced the process of thickening the passive layer. The results of the EIS tests demonstrated that the presence of Ti3SiC2 particles significantly enhances the corrosion resistance of the coatings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
