Background: The prevalence of negative act behaviors among medical residents has not yet been assessed in our country. Present study aimed at evaluating the prevalence and impact of negative act behaviors among residents of four academic hospitals in Iran. Methods: This cross-sectional survey was conducted on medical residents in two educational hospitals affiliated to Iran University of Medical Sciences. An online electronic questionnaire was distributed to all clinical residents in these hospitals via WhatsApp. We used an online electronic four-part questionnaire including demographic data, Negative Act Questionnaire-Revised (NAQ-R), some questions on negative behaviors causes and effects, and General Health Questionnaire 12 (GHQ-12). Results: In total, 254 completed questionnaires were received, with an overall response rate of 71%. Ninety five percent of participants had experienced negative act behaviors once or more during the last six months, whereas 91% of responders had witnessed negative act behaviors during this time. The most common source of these behaviors were senior residents (73.8% of those bullied, n=178). There was a significant positive correlation between the GHQ score and the NAQ-R score assays. Conclusion: This study, as the first study on the prevalence of bullying and negative acts in Iranian medical residents, showed that the medical education atmosphere in residency is not optimal. Therefore, there is a need for certain interventions in the medical education environment. We recommend better education of residents and faculty members, strong policy making, situation assessment and feedback regulations as essential steps towards diminishing bullying and negative behaviors in resident training centers.

Background Publication bias is one of the most important biases in systematic reviews and meta-analyses. This bias occurs when the results of an article affect its publication, in other words positive or significant findings are more likely to be published than the other probable results. Previous studies have shown that publication bias has been a matter of concern in the meta-analysis and systematic reviews conducted in some medical fields. There is not a study that has evaluated the status of publication bias assessment in urology systematic reviews. We decided to assess the status of publication bias evaluation in systematic reviews and meta-analyses published in high impact urology journals. Methods This cross-sectional study was performed on 200 systematic reviews and meta-analysis published in four top urology journals based on their impact factor (European Urology, The Journal of Urology, BJU International and Prostate Cancer and Prostatic Diseases). Two independent reviewers performed data extraction about publication bias evaluation in included systematic reviews. Results From the 200 included studies only 65 (32.5%) evaluated the publication bias in the review process and 31 reviews had reported publication bias in their study. Visual inspection of a funnel plot was the most frequent method used for evaluation of publication bias (61 from 65, 93.85%); this method was used alone in 34 articles and in combination with other methods in 27 papers. Conclusion The present study confirms that publication bias was formally evaluated in a small number of reviews and meta-analysis published in urology journals, therefore, this may be a risk factor that could decrease the robustness of outcomes and results of these studies. It seems that there is an essential need for authors, reviewers, and editors to pay better attention to evaluation of publication bias besides reporting it based on the aforementioned reporting guidelines.

Background: The purpose of the current study was to investigate Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) in patients infected by SARS-CoV-2. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 203 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 based on the positive results of Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests of oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal swabs were enrolled. None of the patients were on diuretic drugs, anticholinergic agents, and alpha blockers. Patients with a history of LUTS, urethral stenosis, neurogenic bladder, urinary tract infection, and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) were excluded from the study. Questions about basic characteristics and de novo LUTS were asked from each patient and the answers were recorded. Results: De novo lower urinary tract symptoms were identified in 30 (14.7%) patients, 23 males and 7 females indicating a significant difference in terms of sex (p=0.005). The most frequent urinary tract symptom was frequency which was reported in 21 patients. Conclusion: There is no clear explanation on the relationship between LUTS and SARS-CoV-2. However, the potential ability of the virus for causing viral cystitis may be a reasonable hypothesis. Therefore, still further studies are required to determine the role of COVID-19 virus in urinary tract symptoms.

Castleman disease is a benign complex lymphoproliferative disease. The most common site is the mediastinum. In this paper, we present a case of Castleman disease in the adrenal gland, as a very rare region. A 29-year-old woman was referred to our clinic due to a well-defined right adrenal mass. She underwent laparoscopic adrenalectomy with the transperitoneal approach. Microscopic histopathology confirmed the hyaline vascular type of Castleman disease. In conclusion, Castleman's disease, as a rare disorder, must be considered in the differential diagnosis of an adrenal mass especially in cases with an enhancing well-defined, nonfunctional solid adrenal mass with lymphadenopathy.

Background: Following the outbreak of coronavirus and its impact on the educational process of medical students, attention was paid to e-learning due to importance of education and research. The aim of present study is to evaluation of virtual and actual education models on the learning of internal interns during the pandemic of COVID-19. Results: The mean±SD age of the participants was 24.9±2.3 years, 46% of participants were men and 54% of them live in dormitory. Results of study shows that difference of pre-test and post-test score with actual and virtual education models in the male and female is significantly different (P value=0.020). Virtual education for men and actual education for women have resulted in higher difference scores in pre-test and post-test. Actual and virtual education models were no different in academic achievements of participants. Thus, the scores obtained in 9 areas did not make a significant difference between the two types of educational models.Discussion: Virtual and actual education methods for internal interns were examined and the results showed that there is no significant difference between these two methods in student output. Given the conditions that have created by COVID-19 disease in the world, it seems that the use of virtual education can be a good alternative to educating medical students so that education does not stop.

Xanthogranulomatous inflammation, as a type of chronic granulomatous inflammation, typically occurs in the gall bladder and kidneys. In this paper, we present a 56-year-old man with Xanthogranulomatous cystitis mimicking bladder malignancy. He was referred to our clinic with the chief complaint of a one-year history of urgency and frequency. CT scan showed a solid lesion in the bladder. The patient underwent complete transurethral resection of the bladder tumor. Microscopic histopathology revealed xanthogranulomatous cystitis. The patient received a course of antibiotic therapy. Follow-up Cystourethroscopy showed normal bladder.

Bullying and harassment, as widespread problems, negatively affect the medical training atmosphere. Accordingly, we read with great interest the paper by Alamri about the bullying of medical students in research projects.1 Herein, we would like to add a comment on this study. ‘Workplace bullying’, defined as a group of persistent, offensive and abusive behaviours which cause a negative effect on recipients, was described in the 1990s.2 Subsequently, many studies were conducted on the workplace bullying definition, prevalence, effects and prevention. Vaginal metastases from renal cell carcinoma has been recorded as extremely rare. We present a patient with vaginal bleeding as primary manifestation of renal cell carcinoma. A 40-year-old woman presented to a local private clinic with intermittent vaginal bleeding for approximately one month. Gynecological examination revealed a mass on the vaginal wall at approximately 8 o’clock. She underwent dilation and curettage (D&C) and mass excision. Microscopic histopathology and immunohistochemical stains showed vaginal metastases of clear cell RCC. The patient was referred to our urology clinic. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of abdomen and pelvic showed a well-defined solid mass lesion measuring 16 × 12 × 11 cm in left kidney. Patient underwent left side radical nephrectomy through a left subcostal intraperitoneal incision. Histopathological results and metastasis workup confirmed the diagnosis of RCC with solitary metastatic vaginal lesion. After radical nephrectomy, she was treated with Sunitinib. No local relapse or distant metastasis was recognized 5 months after radical nephrectomy. In conclusion, the incidence of RCC metastasis to the vagina is extremely rare; but, in cases of vaginal bleeding or lesions we have to keep in mind the possibility of metastatic RCC.

The possibility of bilateral adrenal gland metastasis from renal cell carcinoma (RCC) has been extremely rarely reported. Surgery may be the preferred treatment strategy for adrenal metastasis from RCC. In this article, we present a patient with bilateral large adrenal metastases from the left RCC, which was managed with simultaneous bilateral laparoscopic excision. A 64-year-old woman had undergone left adrenal sparing radical nephrectomy for a left RCC 7 years ago. Her abdominal CT scan revealed bilateral large adrenal metastasis. She underwent bilateral laparoscopic adrenalectomy. The operation was uneventful and the patient was discharged after 4 days with no complications. Bilateral laparoscopic adrenalectomy for adrenal metastasis seems to be a feasible and safe procedure in such cases, but this needs to be confirmed by further studies with a larger sample size.

Objectives: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of transperitoneal laparoscopic pyelolithotomy in renal stone cases with previous renal surgeries. Patients and methods: In this prospective study, 190 consecutive patients with renal stones, who were candidates for transperitoneal laparoscopic pyelolithotomy, were enrolled. The patients were divided into two groups. In group A, 163 patients without a history of renal surgery underwent standard laparoscopic pyelolithotomy, whereas in group B laparoscopic pyelolithotomy was performed in 27 patients with a history of kidney stone surgery including percutaneous nephrolithotomy or open stone surgery. All intraoperative data including the operating time and complications such as bleeding requiring transfusion were recorded. Postoperative data such as length of hospitalization, hemoglobin level alteration, and other complications were also recorded. Results: There was no significant difference in the preoperative data such as stone size, stone site, age, sex, and stone side between the two groups. There was no significant difference in the stone-free rate between the two groups (p = 0.4). There was no significant difference between the two study groups regarding the operating time, hospital stay, stone-free rate, complications, and transfusion rate. Conclusion: Laparoscopic pyelolithotomy can be used as a safe and feasible treatment modality in the setting of previous renal surgery. The complications and stone-free rate of laparoscopic pyelolithotomy in patients with history of renal surgery are acceptable.

Laparoscopic adrenalectomy (LAD) is considered the gold standard surgical method for resecting adrenal tumors. To date, only few small studies have investigated the safety of clipless laparoscopic adrenalectomy in which the adrenal vessels were controlled by the LigaSure system or bipolar coagulation. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the safety and feasibility of sutureless and clipless laparoscopic adrenalectomy operations performed in our center.All patients with functional adrenal tumors, nonfunctional adrenal tumors larger than 5 cm and secondary adrenal metastases from the kidneys, lungs or breasts who had underwent an LAD procedure between 2012 to 2019 were included in our study. In all of the cases, complete coagulation of adrenal veins was achieved through bipolar cautery and no vascular staplers, clips or other energy sources were used for controlling the adrenal vessels whatsoever. Outcomes of interest included operation time, length of hospital stay, changes of serum hemoglobin level, and occurrence of major complications.Of a total 251 patients, unilateral right and left-side adrenalectomy was performed in 168 and 67 cases, respectively, and 16 cases had underwent bilateral adrenal resection. The mean age (SD) of patients was 40.7 (13.6) years old at the time of operation and the mean size (SD) of the adrenal lesions was 5.2 (3.1) cm as measured by the greatest diameter. Histological examination showed that the most common pathology of the resected adrenal glands was pheochromocytoma (n=78). None of the laparoscopic operations required a conversion to open surgery. Also, major bleeding or other serious complications did not occur in any of the cases either intraoperatively or postoperatively.Clipless and sutureless laparoscopic adrenalectomy seems to be feasible and safe for removing adrenal tumors. Moreover, bipolar cautery is associated with an acceptable outcome for vessel closure.

Introduction: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedure performed with adult-sized instruments in pediatric cases with staghorn kidney stone. Methods: We retrospectively evaluated the efficacy and safety of 94 percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedures performed during 15 years in a single center for 82 pediatric patients with staghorn calculi using adult-sized instruments (24-Fr nephroscope). Stone free status was defined as complete clearance of the stones or the presence of insignificant residual stones of Results: The mean age was 108 ± 53 months (range, 14–180 months). There were 39 patients (48%) with complete staghorn stones and 43 cases (52%) with partial staghorn. We fulfilled 91.4% of operations through a single access. The stone free rate was 86.6% after one percutaneous nephrolithotomy session. In total, seven patients referred for shock wave lithotripsy and four cases were scheduled for the second percutaneous nephrolithotomy session. Fever occurred in 18 patients (21%) and bleeding requiring transfusion in four children (5%). Prolonged leakage from nephrostomy site requiring anesthesia for double J stent placement occurred in one patient. No grade IV or V Clavien complication occurred. Conclusion: The success rate and complications of percutaneous nephrolithotomy with adult-size instruments in pediatric patients are acceptable.

The most difficult, time-consuming, and critical steps of laparoscopic pyeloplasty (LPP) are ureteral spatulation, apical ureteral stitch placement, and ureteropelvic anastomosis. To simplify these critical steps, avoid the risk of ureteral shortening, and also minimize ureteral manipulation, we present a modified dismembered technique for suturing with the outcome of patients who underwent LPP using this technique.This study included 23 patients who were candidates for transperitoneal dismembered Anderson-Hynes LPP. The ureter was partially cut just below the ureteropelvic junction. The ureter was spatulated at its lateral aspect to cross the obstruction site and reach the normal ureter. The renal pelvis was obliquely cut equal to the size of ureteral spatulation. The ureter and pelvis were still connected partially. At this point, the first stitch was placed between the lower point of the spatulated ureter and the lowest corner of the renal pelvis. Anastomosis was performed by running sutures.No cases of internal organ injury and no cases of open surgery conversion were encountered. The radiologic success rate was 96%. After operation, in 1 patient, obstruction still existed and the patient underwent nephrectomy due to a nonfunctional obstructive kidney.This modification preserves total ureteral length and facilitates spatulation and suturing in transperitoneal laparoscopic dismembered pyeloplasty. The results showed that it is a useful method, especially for less-experienced surgeons.

Background: Nowadays, diverse approaches have been existed for laparoscopic procedures. The most common laparoscopic entry methods included close and direct entry laparoscopy and open (Hasson) laparoscopy. There is no evidence regarding the superiority in safety and initial speed for the use of open and optical laparoscopic entry. Therefore, the sight of current study was to evaluate comparative survey of two methods of laparoscopic trocar insertion (Hasson and VisiportTM) in terms of speed and complications in urologic surgery. Methods: This expertized base clinical trial study was conducted on 100 patients who underwent urological laparoscopy in Alzahra Hospital, Isfahan, Iran. These patients were randomly divided to two groups (n = 50). One group underwent open laparoscopy and another group Visiport optical trocar. Speed and Complications of urologic surgery was extracted from medical records. Independent T test was used for doing of analysis. Results: The mean age of patients in Hasson and Visiport laparoscopic group was 41.4 ± 11.2 and 41.6 ± 15 years old, respectively (p = 0.91). The mean time for initial trocar placement in patients who underwent Visiport trocar system and Hasson laparoscopic technique was 37.7 ± 15.59 and 95.4 ± 31.75 seconds. There was gratifying difference between two techniques of laparoscopic trocar insertion (Hasson and Visiport) in terms of speed (p = 0.000). In addition, complications were observed in 8% of patients who underwent Visiport trocar system. However, no complications were observed in Hasson laparoscopy group. Conclusion: Visiport optical trocar technique is faster for initial trocar placement than open laparoscopy. However it is associated with complications compared to open laparoscopy. Therefore, there is evidence of benefit in terms of speed for initial trocar placement and harm based on complications in Visiport trocar system.

Introduction: Achieving suitable percutaneous access to the kidney is the most important step in percutaneous nephrolithotomy. The triangulation biplanar access technique under fluoroscopy is the standard method to achieve percutaneous renal access, but it is not successful in all cases. We used the new biplanar oblique access technique as a rescue method for the failed standard biplanar technique. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of this oblique access technique on access outcome. Methods: In total, 782 percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedures were performed under the standard triangulation biplanar technique. The biplanar access failed in 35 cases. Access failure was defined as no urine dropping from the needle or inability to insert the guide wire into the renal pelvis or selected calyx. In 28 failed access cases, the lower calyx was the targeted calyx. We used the oblique access technique for these cases. Initially, the arm of fluoroscopy was in the vertical position. Then the fluoroscopy device was rotated to 30° near the surgeon and 30° caudal to the patient and the needle was inserted into the appropriate calyx. Results: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedures were performed by the oblique access technique in 28 patients. Successful access was achieved in eight patients by the oblique technique (success access rate = 28.6%). No major or minor complication occurred in these patients. Conclusion: The oblique technique is an auxiliary method for accessing the lower calyx in cases which the standard triangular biplanar method has failed. As the failure rate of the biplanar technique is low, the oblique technique can be considered as a useful method for percutaneous access.

A 40-year-old man was referred to our urology clinic due to vague abdominal pain and hematuria. Computed tomography (CT) without contrast material visualized an ectopic kidney in the left iliac fossa with a complete staghorn stone. Under general anesthesia, operation was done in supine position with a gentle lateral elevation on the right side. The surgeon stands on the right side of the patient. First, a 12 mm port was inserted at the umbilicus using the Hasson technique. After creation of pneumoperitoneum, operation was done by three 5 mm trocars were arranges as paraumbilical, the point between umbilicus and inguinal canal at left and right side.A vertical pyelotomy incision was made over the anterior pelvic wall and then extended to a cross figure. The stone extracted intact with a laparoscopic stone grasper and placed in endobag. A short double J stent was placed via the pyelotomy incision and renal pelvis was closed using continuous 4.0 vicryl sutures. He was discharged from hospital after 3 days without any complication.

OBJECTIVES This study sought to evaluate graft outcome of kidneys from deceased-donor pediatric donors in adult recipients, and compare it with outcomes of kidney transplants from adult donors. MATERIALS AND METHODS This historical cohort study involved 2 groups. Group 1 included 23 first kidney adult recipients who received their first renal transplant from pediatric deceased-donor donors. Group 2 consisted of 33 first renal transplant adult recipients with kidneys coming from adult deceased donors. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to generate graft survival and patient survival curves. The log-rank test was done to compare differences between survival outcomes. RESULTS Graft survival rates at 1 and 5 years were 96% and 85% in group 1, and 91% and 85% in group 2. No significant difference existed in graft survival rates between the groups. Patient survival rates at 1 and 5 years in group 1 were 94% and 94% compared with 91% and 91% for group 2. No significant difference existed in graft survival rates between the groups. CONCLUSIONS This study demonstrates that with our experience, improvement in surgical technique and immunosuppressive therapy, pediatric deceased-donor kidneys may be considered as an alternate option for adult recipients. Renal transplants from pediatric donors into adult recipients is associated with good graft and patient survival outcomes.

We read with great interest the paper by York and colleagues [1] entitled "Randomized controlled trial comparing three different modalities of lithotrites for intracorporeal lithotripsy in PCNL". This study showed that the safety and efficacy of Cyberwand, Lithoclast Select, and the StoneBreaker lithotripters are similar and comparable. They stated that "the clearance rate of “hard” stones (defined as brushite, cystine, and uric acid stones) was comparable across the 3 groups). We would like to point out that this statement is one side of the coin. It is possible that the clearance rate of "soft” stones was different. This paper did not perform analysis between "soft" stone compositions. Previous studies with higher sample size showed that stone composition is an important factor that affect stone clearance rate of different types of lithotripters [2]. Furthermore, we want to make a minor criticism of this study: the low sample size of this study may be responsible for this non-significant finding.

Hepatic fibrosis is a common feature in different types of chronic liver injury. The demonstration of the pro-fibrogenesis role of angiotensin II in chronic liver diseases brought up the idea that anti-angiotensin II agents may be effective on improvement of hepatic fibrosis by either blocking the angiotensin II receptor or inhibition of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE). This study is aimed at comparing the anti-fibrogenesis effects of two ACE inhibitors, captopril and enalapril, in the livers of rats with bile duct ligation through biochemical and histopathological parameters. Male Albino Wistar rats were divided into four groups (n=4-5 each), including sham operated, bile duct ligated, captopril and enalapril treated. After 28 days of treatment, the liver was removed and the levels of hepatic hydroxyproline, glutathione and lipid peroxidation were determined. The degree of the development of fibrosis was evaluated through histopathological numerical scores. The results demonstrated that angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors increased GSH, decreased lipid peroxidation and improved hepatic fibrosis as shown by histopathology as well as decreased hepatic content of hydroxyproline. Ongoing lifelong learning in health-related professions is recognized as one of the most important essential competencies for optimal clinical practice [1]. Continuing medical education (CME) in lifelong learning for physicians focuses on maintaining or upgrading the knowledge and skills of medical graduates to ensure competent practice [2]. The goal of current CME systems for urologists is to improve knowledge and practical skills via formats such as conferences, formal courses, and workshops [3]. In recent years, technological improvements that have shifted education from classrooms to online platforms have significantly changed medical education [4]. Social media have become a valuable tool for e-learning, particularly when incorporated in medical education and clinical practice [5]. To facilitate lifelong learning for urologists, we established two Telegram ‘‘Urologist’’ groups in September 2014. Telegram is a communication application similar to Viber andWhatsapp that allows users to send texts, images, and videos to a contact list. To achieve the goals mentioned above, we used different medical education strategies, including case-based learning, clinical experience, discussion groups, lectures, evidence-based journal clubs, and problem-based learning. Besides the main priority of continuing education, this approach aims to establish an effective consultation system, especially for young urologists, for discussing complex or unusual cases with expert colleagues. Between November 2014 and November 2015, the Telegram urologist groups involved 256 case-based learning discussions, 20 clinical experiences, 12 lectures, and 24 evidence-based journal clubs. Approximately 1180 cases were discussed in this period of time and membership increased from 35 to 408. Telegram groups are an exceptionally easy tool that urologists can use to connect to invaluable resources for which access might otherwise be limited by geographic distance or time barriers [5]. This e-learning tool may be useful in improving clinical knowledge and narrowing the gap between high-quality evidence and clinical practice in developing countries such as Iran. Despite these opportunities, medical education via social media has certain limitations that must be acknowledged. First, the effect of this educational system on clinical skills is unclear, especially for surgical skills in urology. Second, there are still some concerns regarding medical ethics and patient privacy and confidentiality in such programs.

The present study aims to identify (1) what proportion of abstracts of clinical trials presented at The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) annual meetings are published as full reports, (2) time to publication, and (3) factors that may predict the publication of research in peer-reviewed journals. Two investigators independently hand-searched all abstracts of the ASLMS meetings to identify all reports of clinical trials. Details of sample size, the country of origin, topic of research, type of presentation, type of laser, direction of outcome, and statistical significance were recorded for each abstract. To determine the full publication status of each study, The Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, PubMed, and EMBASE was searched. A total of 198 abstracts were identified. Of these, 87 abstracts (44%) have been fully published. The average time from presentation at the meeting to full publication was 57 months (95% confidence interval = 52-61), and the estimated rate of abstracts published at 1, 2, and 4 years was 15, 30, and 38%, respectively. There is significant tendency for being fully published in high-power laser studies, with USA as country of origin, and orally presented. Our findings supports this opinion that conference abstracts can be an important source for systematic reviews and failure to identify trials presented in congresses might threaten the validity of systematic reviews.

Objectives To determine the most important knowledge sources that can influence clinical practice and to cluster them in conceptual groups based on their relative importance. Methods Faculty members, fellows and residents of a large teaching tertiary care hospital were asked to rate the importance of different resources in their daily clinical practice and their understanding of some common terms from evidence-based medicine. The knowledge sources were distributed in a two-dimensional map using multidimensional scaling and hierarchical cluster analysis. Results A total of 250 of 320 recruited hospital staff returned the questionnaires. The most important resources in daily practice were English journals, text books and literature searching for faculty members, experience, text books and English journals for fellows and text books, experience and peers for residents. Regional journals were the least important resources for all study groups. About 62.7% of residents did not know the meaning of ‘number needed to treat’, 36.8%‘confidence interval’, 54.9%‘confounding factor’ and 44.6%‘meta-analysis’. The percentages for faculty members were 41.3%, 37%, 42.2% and 39.1%. The knowledge sources were placed in four clusters in a point map derived from the multidimensional scaling process. Conclusion The dominance of the traditional information resources and experience-based medicine debate which is the consequence of traditional approaches to medical education may be one of the considerable barriers to the dissemination of evidence-based medicine in developing countries. The evidence-based clinical practice guidelines could be used as a useful passive-predigested source for busy clinicians to make informed decisions. A considerable Western bias may undermine the local research in developing world.

Introduction: Urinary bladder is the most common site for foreign body in the urinary tract. Self insertion of a long object into the bladder is very difficult in males. We present a case of self-inserted foreign body, a 105 cm long electronic wire, in the bladder. Case Presentation: A 13 year-old boy was referred to our clinic with chief complaint of hematuria. Intravenous pyelogram (IVP) revealed a foreign body in the bladder. Cystoscopy was performed and an electronic wire about 105 cm long was removed from his bladder by forceps. Discussion: This case has two unusual features. First, it is difficult for a foreign body to reach the urinary bladder in males. Second, the presented case was left unattended for two whole weeks.
