Solar energy is a large inexhaustible source of energy were the power from the sun intercepted by the Earth is over a trillion watt, which is many thousand times larger than the present consumption rate on the earth of all commercial energy sources. The sun could supply all the present and future energy need, presently the major way of extracting this energy is through solar panel and the efficiency of the energy conversion is in high consideration. Research has revealed that different factors can affect the efficiency of the panel, using a DT830B Digital Multi-meter and HTC-1 Clock/Temperature/Hygrometer on a Dp-Li21 polycrystalline solar panel. This work took the liberty of analyzing the effect of humidity and temperature on the efficiency of the solar panel. The result obtained shows that current production is highly aided by temperature within 42-45oC and humidity below 35% and voltage production remains fairly stable with temperature below 42oC and humidity below 60% while the power production is fairly stable with humidity below 40% and maximum with temperature at 45oC, for power production on a panel mounted and to be mounted to be within maximum range, this analysis is to be carried out and put into consideration.

The aim of this thesis is to empirically examine the impact of government education expenditure and health expenditure on the GDP per capita of the Federal Republic of Nigeria post the 2016 recession era. The main source of revenue for the federal Republic of Nigerian government is from the oil sector. Over the past few years, there has been an increase in the oil prices and as a result, this has boosted the government spending. In this study, investigation is being conducted on whether the increase in government spending on education and health have had an effect or significant impact in the GDP per capita or not post the recession era that hit the federal republic of Nigeria in 2016 by using data from 1981-2018. This study uses a bivariate econometric model to examine the relationship between socio-economic infrastructure spendings; government education and health expenditures, and the GDP per capita. ÖZ: Bu tezin amacı, 2016 durgunluk dönemini sonrasında Federal Nijerya Cumhuriyeti’nde devlet eğitim ve sağlık harcamalarının, GSYH’ye olan etkilerini ampirik olarak incelemektir. Federal Nijerya Cumhuriyeti hükümeti için ana gelir kaynağı petrol sektörüdür.Son birkaç yılda, petrol fiyatlarında artış olmuştur ve bunun sonucu olarak, devlet harcamaları artmıştır. Bu çalışmada, silisyum güneş hücrelerinin kuantum verimliliği artırılmıştır. Bu, mevcut güneş hücrelerindeki sınırlı elektron / foton dönüşümünden kaynaklanmaktadır. Bu anotlama tekniği kullanılarak gerçekleştirilir ve çapı 5,9nm lik bir ortalama yüzeyi üzerinde çok katmanlı nanogözenekli üretildi. Bu nano-gözenekli yüzeyler katkılandırılmış ve PN eklemi oluşturulmuştur. Ayrıca, başarılı bir şekilde hetero-eklem, cihazların kristal ve nangözenekli arayüzeyinde arasında oluşturuldu. Kullanılan doping yöntemi, aseton beş kısmına fosfor tri-oxochloride bir bölümünü dahil edilen ve oksijen atmosferi altında, 800°C'de tavlanmış kimyasal bir yöntemdir. Son olarak, sırasıyla, altın ve alüminyum ince filmler kullanılarak, cihazın ön ve arka tarafında iki kontak oluşturuldu. Bu kontaklar, hem omik hemde Schottky eklemleri olarak oluşmuştur. Verimlilik 15,4 % 'e kadar geliştirmek üzere kuruldu. Karşılaştırmak için standard güneş pili hücresinin verimliliği yaklaşık olarak 8,7 % olarak ölçülürken, deneyimizde ki cihaz, % 6,7' e kadarlık bir artış sağlamaktadır. İlaveten, bu tür cihazlar, fotovoltaik uygulamalarda olduğu gibi, LED ve fotodetektör üretiminde de kullanılabilir. In this study, the quantum efficiency of silicon solar cells has been enhanced in some aspect. This is due to the limited electron/photon conversion in the existing solar cells. This was done by using anodization technique, and produced with the multilayered nanoporous on the surface with an average size of 5,9nm in diameter. These nano-porous surfaces were doped and form P-N junction. Moreover, the hetero-junction was formed between the crystal and nanoporous interface of the device which is important in the achievement of the aim. The doping method used is chemical method which involved one part of phosphorous tri-oxochloride to five part of acetone and was anealed at 800ᴼC under oxygen atmosphere. Finally, the two contacts were formed at front and backside of the device using gold and aluminum thin film, respectively. These contacts were formed as both ohmic and schottky junction. The efficiency was formed to be enhanced upto 15,4%. While the efficiency of the standart silicon solar cells measured in our system is observed to be about 8,7% for a comparison, the cells produced in our experiment showed an increase of the efficiency upto 6,7%. Additionally, this type of the devices can be used as in the fabrication of LEDs and photodetectors, as in the case of photovoltaic applications. 73
