Abstract

An efficient and one pot reaction of fluorinated 1,3,4-Thiadiazole derivatives was synthesis by fluorinated aromatic carboxylic with thiosemicabazide in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride as a catalyst under Microwave irradiation with silica supported. The synthesis compound was characterized by 1H NMR, IR, and mass spectroscopic techniques. The present approach offers the advantages such as short reaction time, simplicity of the workup procedure, low cost and mild reaction condition.

Abstract

Background: An eco-friendly, operationally simple and efficient reaction is shown between various 2,6-bis-(substituted-benzylidene)-cyclohexanones and differently substituted hydrazine in the presence of acetic acid. Methods: The reaction between various 2,6-bis-(substituted-benzylidene)-cyclohexanones and differently substituted hydrazine in the presence of acetic acid afforded 7-Benzylidene-substituted-phenyl-3,3a,4,5,6,7- hexahydro-2H-indazole in 74 to 92 % yield in short reaction time using the grindstone technique. Results and Discussion: The notable advantages of this method include mild synthetic conditions, weak acid catalysis, and non-hazardous solvent which make this method environmentally safer. Conclusion: In conclusion, we have developed an efficient, simple and eco-friendly method for the synthesis of 7-Benzylidene-substituted-phenyl-3,3a,4,5,6,7-hexahydro-2H-indazole by grinding technique. The notable benefits of this method are waste minimization, no organic solvent required, simple procedure, easy work-up, and clean reaction profile.

Abstract

A clean and straightforward methodology developed for the synthesis of substituted indazoles using silica supported polyphosphoric acid (PPA-SiO 2 ) catalyzed condensation reaction between substituted 2-hydroxybenzaldehydes or acetophenones and hydrazine hydrate or phenylhydrazine. The reaction conditions are optimized for different solvents at different temperatures. The yield of the products improved to 88 to 90 % using silica supported polyphosphoric acid as a catalyst, which is reusable, cost-effective and straightforward to synthesize.
