The impact of machine feed rates of Wire Electric Discharge Machining on the kerf-width (K-width), material-removal-rate (MR-R), and surface-roughness (S-R) in the machining of Al/SiC composite is practically analysed. The relation among the feed rates of machine and K-width, MR-R, S-R is graphically acquired. It is demonstrated that lesser rate of feed is responsible for generation of larger K-width, lesser MR-R, and good finish as compared to more feed rate.

Our systematic review aims to synthesise the evidence on interventions targeting improvement in patient adherence to psychological treatments for common mental disorders. A search was conducted on six electronic databases using search terms under the following concepts: common mental disorders, adherence, psychological treatments and controlled trial study design. Due to the heterogeneity in intervention content and outcomes evaluated in the included studies, a narrative synthesis was conducted. Risk of bias was assessed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias Version 2 tool for randomised controlled trials and the Cochrane ROBINS-I tool for non-randomised controlled trials. The search yielded 23 distinct studies with a total sample size of 2,779 participants. All studies were conducted in high-income or upper-middle-income countries. Interventions to improve patient adherence to psychological treatments included reminders and between-session engagement (e.g., text messages), motivational interviewing, therapy orientation (e.g., expectation-setting) and overcoming structural barriers (e.g., case management). Interventions from 18 out of 23 studies were successful in improving at least one primary adherence outcome of interest (e.g., session attendance). Some studies also reported an improvement in secondary outcomes - six studies reported an improvement in at least one clinical outcome (e.g., depression), and three studies reported improvements in at least one measure of well-being or disability (e.g., days spent in in-patient treatment). Illicit drug use is a growing concern in India, with a high treatment gap of 73%. Explanatory models can provide valuable insights into the patient's conception of disease and inform help-seeking, treatment, and recovery. Of the studies that examine adolescent drug misuse in India, none have developed a socio-cultural explanatory model. The aim of our study was to develop an explanatory model to better understand the causal beliefs, social context, and self-perception of illicit drug misuse amongst adolescents in India. We conducted semi-structured interviews with 23 adolescents seeking treatment for drug use disorders and 25 healthcare providers recruited across three sites in India. Thematic analysis was used to analyse data. Most adolescent participants reported using multiple drugs, often in combination with cannabis. Frequent usage was reported i.e., daily at multiple times. Causes of initiation and continued use were peer influence, curiosity and pleasure, psychosocial stressors, family conditions, and systemic risk factors (e.g. socioeconomic instability). Drugs were acquired from various sources, including fellow users and pharmacies. Adolescent participants perceived negative impacts of drug use on physical and mental health, family relationships, and everyday functioning. Our findings on common reasons of drug use initiation, importance of peer relationships in continuation of use, impact of use on various aspects of life and the relationship of illicit drug use with socioeconomic status are consistent with previous research done in India on the subject. Understanding how adolescents and caregivers perceive drug use can help inform patient-clinician rapport, improve treatment compliance and understand intervention effectiveness. Background: Alcohol use disorders (AUDs) contribute significantly to the global disease burden in terms of morbidity and mortality. While effective treatment options exist, engagement with care remains a challenge, impacting treatment outcomes and resource allocation, particularly in resource-constrained settings. Community Reinforcement Approach and Family Training (CRAFT) emerged as a prominent approach for treatment initiation, contingency management for adherence, and motivational interviewing (MI) for both treatment initiation and adherence., Conclusion: Integrating initiation and adherence interventions into AUD treatment services holds immense potential for optimizing client outcomes and fostering overall well-being. Background: Former professional collision sport (CS) athletes, particularly American football players, are at risk of developing chronic health conditions; however, little is known about the health outcomes of amateur athletes., Methods: A 60-item health survey examined self-reported symptoms and diagnoses among former Division 1 Collegiate CS athletes and non- or limited-contact sport (non-CS) athletes. Binary logistic regressions tested the association between playing CS and health outcomes., Results: Five hundred and two (6.2%) participants completed the survey: 160 CS athletes (mean age: 59.2, SD = 16.0) and 303 non-CS athletes (mean age: 54.0, SD = 16.9). CS athletes had increased odds of reported cognitive complaints and neuropsychiatric symptoms including memory (P adj < 0.01), attention/concentration (P adj  = 0.01), problem solving/multi-tasking (P adj  = 0.05), language (P adj  = 0.02), anxiety (P adj  = 0.04), impulsivity (P adj  = 0.02), short-fuse/rage/explosivity (P adj < 0.001), and violence/aggression (P adj  = 0.02). CS athletes also reported higher rates of sleep apnea (P adj  = 0.02). There were no group differences in cardiovascular and physical health outcomes., Conclusions: Former CS athletes reported more cognitive and neuropsychiatric complaints. The low response rate is a limitation of this study; however, over 500,000 athletes play college sports each year, thus research on long-term health outcomes in this population is critical.

Background: We aimed to compare the risk of incident depression, anxiety, non-fatal self-harm and completed suicide in survivors from a wide range of cancers versus cancer-free individuals., Methods: We used electronic health records from the United Kingdom Clinical Practice Research Datalink linked to cancer registry data, hospital admissions data and death records between 1998 and 2021. Adult survivors of the 20 most common cancers were matched (age, sex, general practice) 1:10 to cancer-free individuals. Cox regression models, adjusted for shared risk factors, were used to estimate associations between cancer survivorship and mental health outcomes., Findings: 853,177 adults with cancer diagnosed in 1998-2018 were matched to 8,106,643 cancer-free individuals. Survivors of all 20 cancer types under study had a higher risk of experiencing a new episode of anxiety and depression during follow-up compared with cancer-free individuals; there was also evidence of raised risks of non-fatal self-harm in 17/20 cancers and completed suicide in 8/20 cancers. Effect sizes were greatest in cancers with poorer 5-year survival: hazard ratios (HRs) for anxiety and depression of 1.1-1.2 were seen for malignant melanoma survivors, while HRs for both outcomes were >2.5 for lung and oesophageal cancer survivors. HRs were highest in the first year from cancer diagnosis, reducing over time since diagnosis. However, 5-year cancer survivors still experienced elevated risks of a subsequent new episode of anxiety or depression, in 18/20 cancers., Interpretation: Survivors of the 20 most common cancers were at increased risk of experiencing depression and anxiety, and these increased risks persisted in medium-to long-term cancer survivors. Substantially raised risks of non-fatal self-harm and completed suicide were also seen for several types of cancer. The risks of all mental health outcomes were generally higher in survivors of cancers with poorer prognosis. The aim of this qualitative study, nested in a randomized controlled trial, was to assess the mechanisms of the effects in both arms through examining perceptions of the participants about changes in their drinking behavior and their attributions for any perceived changes. We conducted semi-structured interviews with a sub-sample of trial participants. We used thematic analysis to analyze the data. Self-perceived change, mostly positive, was reported regardless of the objectively measured remission status. Participating in the trial itself was a major catalyst for change. Participants in both arms used a variety of similar strategies to make these changes; additionally, for those who received the intervention, both the style of the counselor (for example, the non-judgmental stance) as well as specific elements of the intervention were seen to influence change in drinking behavior. Absence of self-reported change was relatively uncommon and primarily related to the felt need for alcohol (e.g., drinking was perceived to be necessary to maintain good health), or the belief that one did not need to or want to change. Background: Although depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide, treatment coverage for the condition is inadequate. Supply-side barriers (e.g. shortage of specialist mental health professionals) and demand-side barriers (e.g. lack of awareness about depression) lead to limited availability of evidence-based interventions, poor demand for care, and low levels of adherence to care. The aim of our study is to examine if the addition of a community intervention delivered by community volunteers enhances the population-level impact of an evidence based psychosocial intervention (Healthy Activity Program [HAP]) in routine primary care by increasing demand for HAP and improving HAP adherence and effectiveness., Methods: A hybrid type 2 effectiveness implementation cluster randomised controlled trial will be implemented in the state of Goa, India. Twenty-eight clusters of villages and their associated public sector health centres will be randomly allocated through restricted randomisation. Clusters will be randomly allocated to the 'Community Model' or 'Facility Model' arms. All clusters will offer the HAP and clusters in the 'Community Model' arm will additionally receive activities delivered by community volunteers ("Sangathis") to increase awareness about depression and support demand for and adherence to HAP. The primary outcomes are Contact Coverage (Patient Health Questionnaire [PHQ-9] score > 4 as a proportion of those screened) and Effectiveness Coverage (mean PHQ-9 score amongst those who score ≥ 15 at baseline, i.e. those who have moderately severe to severe depression) at 3 months post-recruitment. Additional outcomes at 3 and 6 months will assess sustained effectiveness, remission, response to treatment, depression awareness, social support, treatment completion, and activation levels. Economic and disability outcomes will be assessed to estimate incremental cost-effectiveness ratios. Implementation will be evaluated through process data and qualitative data informed by the RE-AIM framework. A minimum of 79488 primary care attenders will be screened for the Contact Coverage outcome, and 588 individuals with PHQ-9 ≥ 15 will be recruited for the Effectiveness Coverage outcome., Discussion: If effective, our community intervention will have relevance to India's Ayushman Bharat universal healthcare programme which is scaling up care for depression in primary care, and also to other low- and middle- income countries., Trial Registration: Registered on ClincalTrials.gov ( NCT05890222 .) on 12/05/2023., (© 2024. Introduction: Despite the high burden of tobacco use in India, users do not have access to adequate help. This pilot trial aimed to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of a text messaging intervention for tobacco cessation, generate preliminary estimates of its impact, and fine-tune procedures for a definitive trial., Aims and Methods: Parallel two-arm single blind individually randomized controlled pilot trial with nested qualitative study. Participants included adult current tobacco users (smoked and smokeless). Eligible and consenting participants were randomized to receive either (1) text messaging intervention (ToQuit) which covered specific content areas such as psychoeducation about consequences of tobacco use and benefits of quitting and tobacco avoidance strategies or (2) information about tobacco cessation helplines such as the helpline number and the languages in which tobacco cessation support was available (control). Feasibility data included screening and consent rates, treatment dropouts, and outcome ascertainment. The primary abstinence outcome was self-reported abstinence from tobacco in the past seven days at 3 months post-randomization. In-depth interviews were conducted with a subsample of participants primarily to collect acceptability data. The primary abstinence analysis used a chi-squared test and logistic regression (complete case), and qualitative data was analyzed using thematic analysis., Results: Ninety-eight participants were randomized into the two trial arms; 77 (79%) completed outcome evaluation. No between-arm differences in abstinence were found though findings favored the intervention (7-day abstinence: ToQuit 23%, control 19%; adjusted odds ratio 1.23, 95% confidence interval 0.38, 3.97). Participants appreciated the language, comprehensibility, and relevance of the messages; and reported overall satisfaction with and positive impact from the intervention on their lives., Conclusions: The findings indicate the acceptability and feasibility of ToQuit and if found effective, it could be a potentially scalable first-line response to tobacco use in low-resource settings., Implications: Our pilot randomized control trial provides sufficient findings supporting the acceptability and feasibility of an intervention for tobacco cessation which is suitable for a context which has a shortage of healthcare workers and for individuals who use smoked or smokeless tobacco. In the extensive literature characterizing lymphocyte contributions to transplant-related pathologies including allograft rejection and graft-versus-host disease, T cell-focused investigation has outpaced investigation of B cells. Most B cell-related reports describe regulatory and antibody-producing functions, with less focus on the potential role of antigen-presenting capacity. Using in vitro human mixed lymphocyte reactions (MLRs) to model allostimulation, we analyzed responder B cells using transcriptional analysis, flow cytometry, and microscopy. We observed emergence of an activated responder B cell subpopulation phenotypically similar to that described in individuals with graft-versus-host disease or allograft rejection. This population had markedly increased expression of FcRL5 (Fc receptor like 5) and molecules associated with human leukocyte antigen class I antigen presentation. Consistent with this phenotype, these cells demonstrated increased internalization of irradiated cell debris and dextran macromolecules. The proportion of this subpopulation within MLR responders also correlated with emergence of activated, cytotoxic CD8 + T cells. B cells of similar profile were quite infrequent in unstimulated blood from healthy individuals but readily identifiable in disaggregated human splenocytes and increased in both cases upon allostimulation. Introduction: Intraperitoneal instillation of local anaesthetic agents alone or in combination with opioids, α2 agonists such as Dexmedetomidine have been found to reduce postoperative pain following laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The study was designed to compare the better drug among Bupivacaine alone and Bupivacaine with Dexmedetomidine with respect to their analgesic efficacy and safety profile. in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy., Patients and Methods: The study was carried out on sixty patients of the American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I-II of either sex with ages ranging from 18 to 60 years posted for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy under General Anaesthesia, equally divided into two groups, randomly allocated to one of the Groups using the table of randomization. Group B received Intraperitoneal Bupivacaine 40 ml 0.25% +5 ml normal saline and Group BD received Intraperitoneal Bupivacaine 40 ml 0.25% + Dexmedetomidine1 μg/kg diluted in 5 ml Normal saline., Results: The mean heart rate and blood pressure (systolic, diastolic and mean) readings were significantly lower in Group BD than in Group B. The mean duration of analgesia in our study was longer in Group BD (7.5 ± 0.73 hours) when compared to Group B (5.9 ± 0.55 hours) with p-value & 0.0001 and CI 1.27 to 1.9, which was statistically significant. However, the post-operative analgesic requirement (rescue/demand) in Group B was clinically earlier and statistically significant as compared to Group BD. Postoperative VAS score ≥3 was considered the benchmark for providing rescue analgesia in the form of injection of Diclofenac 75 mg IV. In our study, we observed the pain scores via VAS/NRS at 30 min, 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 6 h, 8 h, 10 h, 12 h, 14 h, 16 h, 18 h, 20 h, 22 h and 24 h postoperatively. A comparison of pain scores from 30 min to 10hrs postoperatively showed a significant difference in both Groups with Group B having significantly higher VAS scores and lower VAS scores with Group BD., Conclusions: Our study suggests that there is a shorter duration of action of 0.25% Bupivacaine alone as compared to 0.25% Bupivacaine + Dexmedetomidine. Since the laparoscope is still inside the abdominal cavity the drugs are easy to administer with no adverse effects and with a good safety profile because of the visualization of drug deposition in the right place. Background/objective: Multiple cases of postvaccination immune-related adverse events have been reported. We, hereby, present a patient who presented with new-onset type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM) after COVID-19 messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccination., Case Report: A 38-year-old Caucasian man presented with sudden onset of polyuria, polydipsia, and blurry vision for 1 month. The patient received the second dose of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech) 4 weeks prior to symptom onset. Initial workup revealed glucosuria and hemoglobin A1c of 9.4%. Antibodies against multiple pancreatic beta cell autoantigens were detected. The patient was then initiated on insulin., Discussion: Hypothesized mechanisms for development of type 1 DM after COVID-19 mRNA vaccination include molecular mimicry, autoimmune/inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants, and possible interaction between the angiotensin-I converting enzyme-2 receptor on beta cells and viral mRNA. An initial high index of suspicion should be accompanied by early autoantibody testing and initiation of insulin, if indicated. Finally, if diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, patients must have long-term follow-up as there may be brief periods where glycemic control is maintained off insulin., Conclusion: New-onset type 1 DM has been reported after COVID mRNA vaccination. Fluoride is the cornerstone of oral health, playing a pivotal role in oral health. Fluoride can be administered topically or systemically. Topically, it is found in toothpaste, mouth rinses, and professional treatments such as fluoride varnish. These directly shield teeth from decay and strengthen the existing enamel. Systemically, fluoride is ingested through water, foods, or supplements, benefiting tooth development, especially in children. Nevertheless, responsible fluoride use is essential. Overexposure can lead to dental fluorosis, affecting tooth aesthetics. Myelinating cells are sensitive to mechanical stimuli from their extracellular matrix. Ablation of YAP and TAZ mechanotransducers in Schwann cells abolishes the axon-Schwann cell recognition, myelination, and remyelination in the peripheral nervous system. It was unknown if YAP and TAZ are also required for myelination and remyelination in the central nervous system. Here we define the importance of oligodendrocyte (OL) YAP and TAZ in vivo, by specific deletion in oligodendroglial cells in adult OLs during myelin repair. Blocking YAP and TAZ expression in OL lineage cells did not affect animal viability or any major defects on OL maturation and myelination. However, using a mouse model of demyelination/remyelination, we demonstrate that YAP and TAZ modulate the capacity of OLs to remyelinate axons, particularly during the early stage of the repair process, when OL proliferation is most important. Redressing global patterns of biodiversity loss requires quantitative frameworks that can predict ecosystem collapse and inform restoration strategies. By applying a network-based dynamical approach to synthetic and real-world mutualistic ecosystems, we show that biodiversity recovery following collapse is maximized when extirpated species are reintroduced based solely on their total number of connections in the original interaction network. More complex network-based strategies that prioritize the reintroduction of species that improve 'higher order' topological features such as compartmentalization do not provide meaningful performance improvements. These results suggest that it is possible to design nearly optimal restoration strategies that maximize biodiversity recovery for data-poor ecosystems in order to ensure the delivery of critical natural services that fuel economic development, food security, and human health around the globe., (© 2023. Background: Obesity is associated with cognitive impairment. A potential contributor to these deficits is sedentary behavior (SB), which is linked to poorer cognitive functioning in other populations. Little is known about the association between SB and cognitive function in bariatric surgery populations., Objectives: This cross-sectional study examined the association between SB and cognitive function in preoperative bariatric surgery patients, as well as possible sex differences in this relationship., Setting: Data were collected at 2 health centers in the United States., Methods: A total of 121 participants (43.2 ± 10.3 yr of age) scheduled for Roux-en-Y gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy completed the National Institute of Health (NIH) Toolbox for the Assessment of Neurological and Behavioral Function Cognition Domain, a computerized neuropsychological assessment battery. Participants wore a waist-mounted accelerometer for 7 consecutive days to measure SB and light-intensity physical activity (LPA)., Results: Pearson and partial correlations found no significant relationships between cognitive function and SB or LPA in the full sample. However, partial correlations controlling for LPA found that greater SB was associated with poorer performance on List Sorting Working Memory Test in women (r = -.28; P = .006), whereas there was a positive relationship between SB and Dimensional Change Card Sort for men (r = .51; P = .015; 95% CI [.25, .73])., Conclusions: These results showed that greater SB, independent of LPA, is associated with poorer working memory in women and better set shifting ability in men. Purpose: Despite the World Health Organization and United Nations recognising violence, abuse and mental health as public health priorities, their intersection is under-studied in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). International violence, abuse and mental health network (iVAMHN) members recognised the need to identify barriers and priorities to develop this field., Methods: Informed by collaborative discussion between iVAMHN members, we conducted a pilot study using an online survey to identify research, education and capacity building priorities for violence, abuse and mental health in LMICs. We analysed free-text responses using thematic analysis., Results: 35 senior (29%) and junior researchers (29%), non-government or voluntary sector staff (18%), health workers (11%), students (11%) and administrators (3%) completed the survey. Respondents worked in 24 LMICs, with 20% working in more than one country. Seventy-four percent of respondents worked in sub-Saharan Africa, 37% in Asia and smaller proportions in Latin America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Respondents described training, human resource, funding and sensitivity-related barriers to researching violence, abuse and mental health in LMICs and recommended a range of actions to build capacity, streamline research pathways, increase efficiency and foster collaborations and co-production., Conclusion: The intersection between violence, abuse and mental health in LMICs is a priority for individuals with a range of expertise across health, social care and the voluntary sector. There is interest in and support for building a strong network of parties engaged in research, service evaluation, training and education in this field. Globally, alcohol consumption causes significant societal harm and is a leading risk factor for death and disability in adults. In India, 3.7% of all deaths and 3.1% disability adjusted life years (DALYs) can be attributed to alcohol. In the context of rapid economic development and emphasized by the COVID-19 pandemic, India's lack of a consolidated and comprehensive alcohol policy has posed significant challenges to addressing this harm. In this context, the aim of our review was to undertake a comprehensive mapping of the State and national policy environment surrounding alcohol and its use in India, based on an analysis of policy documents. We did this though a scoping review of academic and grey literature, which helped to iteratively identify the websites of 15 international organizations, 21 Indian non-governmental organizations, and eight Indian Federal governmental organizations as well as State/Union Territory government sites, to search for relevant policy documents. We identified 19 Federal policy documents and 36 State level policy documents within which we have identified the specific policy measures which address the 10 categories of the World Health Organization's Global Action Plan to Reduce the Harmful Use of Alcohol. We found that there are major gaps in regulation of marketing and price controls, with much of this controlled by the States. In addition, regulation of availability of alcohol varies widely throughout the country, which is also a policy area controlled locally by States. Technology-enabled interventions are often recommended to overcome geographical barriers to access and inequitable distribution of mental healthcare workers. The aim of this study was to examine the acceptability and feasibility of an assisted telepsychiatry model implemented in primary care settings in India. In-depth interviews were conducted with patients who received telepsychiatry consultations. Data were collected about domains such as experience with communicating with psychiatrists over a video call and feasibility of accessing services. Data were analysed using a thematic analysis approach. Patients recognized that technology enabled them to access treatment and appreciated its contribution to the improvement in their mental health condition. They reported that the telepsychiatry experience was comparable to face-to-face consultations. They had a positive experience of facilitation by counsellors and found treatment delivery in primary care non-stigmatizing. While some adapted easily to the technology platform because of increased access to technology in their daily lives, others struggled to communicate over a screen. For some, availability of care closer to their homes was convenient; for others, even the little travel involved posed a financial burden. In some cases, the internet connectivity was poor and interfered with the video calls. Patients believed that scale could be achieved through adoption of this model by the public sector, collaboration with civil society, enhanced demand generation strategies and leveraging platforms beyond health systems. The evolving international economic instability and international trade relationship demand a nation to move towards a self-reliant integrated system at a sub-national scale to address the growing human needs. Given India's role in the global trade network, it is critical to explore the underlying extensive complex trade network at the domestic scale. The potential advantages of complex interaction among the different commodities remain unexplored despite the known importance of trade networks in maintaining food security and industrial sustainability. Here we perform a comprehensive analysis of agricultural flows in contrast with non-agricultural commodities across Indian states. The spatio-temporal evolution of the networks from 2010-2018 was studied by evaluating topological network characteristics of consistent spatially disaggregated trade data. Our results show an increase in average annual trade value by 23.3% and 15.4% for agriculture and non-agriculture commodities, respectively, with no significant increase in connectivity observed in both networks. However, they depict contrasting behavior concerning the spatio-temporal changes, with non-agriculture trade becoming more dependent on production hubs and the agriculture trade progressing toward self-reliance, which signifies the evolution of the diversification in the existing agrarian trade network. Mental health problems are a significant and growing cause of morbidity worldwide. Despite the availability of evidence-based interventions, most people experiencing mental health problems remain untreated. This treatment gap is particularly large in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) and is due to both supply-side and demand-side barriers. The aim of this systematic review is to identify and synthesise the evidence on interventions to improve help-seeking for mental health problems in LMICs. The protocol was registered a priori (Registration number: CRD42021255635). We searched eight databases using terms based on three concepts: 'mental health/illness' AND 'help-seeking' AND 'LMICs'; and included all age groups and mental health problems. Forty-two papers were eligible and included in this review. Intervention components were grouped into three categories following the steps in the help-seeking process: (1) raising mental health awareness among the general population (e.g., distribution of printed or audio-visual materials), (2) identification of individuals experiencing mental health problems (e.g., community-level screening or detection), and (3) promoting help-seeking among people in need of mental health care (e.g., sending reminders). The majority of interventions (80%) included components in a combination of the aforementioned categories. Most studies report positive outcomes, yet results on the effectiveness is mixed, with a clear trend in favour of interventions with components from more than one category. Ten out of 42 studies (24%) yielded a statistically significant effect of the intervention on help-seeking; and all targeted a combination of the aforementioned categories (i.e., raising awareness, identification and help-seeking promotion). Only six studies (14%) focused on children and adolescents. Background: This study explores the experiences of participants receiving a mobile-based brief intervention (BI) for hazardous drinking in India, to determine characteristics that influenced engagement and examine perceived reasons for change in alcohol consumption., Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 adult hazardous drinkers who received a mobile-based BI in the intervention arm of a pilot randomised control trial. Data were coded through an iterative process and analysed using thematic analysis., Findings: Study participants reported a positive experience, with factors such as customised intervention delivery and personal motivation facilitating their engagement. Participants reported a reduction in quantity and frequency of alcohol use. This was credited to the intervention, particularly, its provision of health-related information, goal-setting content and strategies to manage drinking. Apart from alcohol reduction, participants reported improvements in diet, lifestyle, wellbeing, and familial relations., Implication: By providing a context to explain the impact of the intervention, the learnings from this study can be used to strengthen the implementation of mobile-based interventions.
