Introduction: Frozen shoulder is condition in which there is pain and disability of shoulder joint mostly due to contraction of rotator interval capsular ligaments. Hydrodilation is procedure to dilate the contracted capsule using normal saline and local anaesthetic agent while corticosteroid therapy depicts injection of Triamcelone acetate into joint capsule to reduce inflammation and adhesions thereby reducing pain and disability.Objective: Objective of study is to compare effects of Hydrodilatation versus corticosteroids alone in intra articular shoulder joint on mobility of joint and pain in primary idiopathic frozen shoulder.Materials and Methods: 50 patients were taken in our study out of which Maximum patients are in the age group of 40-50 years i.e., 20 patients (40%) followed by 50-60 year age group i.e., 19 patients (38%), There are 31 (62%) male and 19 (38%) females in our study, Right side is more Commonly involved 33 (66%) and left side involved in 17 (34%) patients, In Corticosteroids group, at Presentation mean abduction was 21% which was improved to 61%, external rotation in neutral position was 18% which improved to 89%, external rotation in abduction was 20% which improved to 83%, In Hydrodilatation group, at Presentation mean abduction was 20% which was improved to 60%, external rotation in neutral position was 18% which improved to 86%, external rotation in abduction was 22% which improved to 82%, Average SPADI and ASES score not showing any significant difference in outcome at 1 year follow up between Hydrodilatation and corticosteroids group of patients.Conclusion: In this study, we investigated treatment effects in patients with adhesive capsulitis treated with either intra articular corticosteroid or with hydrodilatation procedure. Shoulder of the dominant hand (right side) is more commonly involved. No significant difference in the outcome as assessed with SPADI and ASES was found between both groups at 1 month, 6 month and 1 year follow up. In both groups there was significant improvement in range of motion & pain.

Introduction: Fractures of distal end of radius are one of the most common skeletal injuries encountered in orthopaedics. There are various modalities for treatment like closed reduction and cast application, external fixators, ORIF with plate etc.Materials and Methods: We conducted a prospective study of 20 patients having AO OTA type A, B & C distal radius fractures treated with volar locking plate at our institute between 2018 to 2019. We include all close injuries in skeletally mature patients between ages 20-65 years. Outcome of the study was evaluated by using the gartland and werley score.Results: 5 patients had AO OTA type A, 8 patients had type B and 7 patients had type C fractures. Mean palmar flexion was 78 degrees. Dorsi flexion was 80 degrees observed. Average supination and pronation were 85 &78 degrees respectively. Radial & ulnar deviations average 12 and 24 degrees were observed. More than 90% of the patients had excellent to good outcome based on gartland and werley score.Conclusions: Volar plating is a proven method of choice in majority of distal end radius fractures regardless of comminution and fragments separation.

Background: Distal fractures of the femur especially comminuted, intra-articular distal femoral fractures AO classification 33-C remain challenging fractures for orthopaedic surgeons. Due to soft tissue damage, comminution, articular involvement and extensor mechanism injury functional outcome is poor in fracture distal femur. Materials and Methods: We have done prospective study of 20 patients of intraarticular distal femur fracture AO classification 33-C treated operatively with locking compressive plate at S.S.G. hospital and medical college, Baroda during January 2014 to March 2016.We have studied functional outcome using neer’s score, radiological outcome and complication associated with fracture fixation using LCP. Result: Out of 20 patients 14 were males and 6 were females. The youngest patient was 18yrs old and the oldest 70 yrs.4 patients had C1,10 pt had C2 and 6 pt had C3 type of fracture according to AO classification,12 patients were operated with extensile lateral approach.8 patients were operated using Swashbuckler approach. In 3 patients primary bone grafting was done for severely comminuted type C3 fracture. Secondary bone grafting was done in 1 delayed union case at 4 month. Pt shows sign of union at 9 month.1 Pt develop non-union treated with secondary bone grafting at 9 month with signs of union at 12 month.1 pt develop infection on 4th post-operative day resolved with surgical debridement and antibiotic. The average duration of weight bearing was12 weeks. Average time for fracture healing was 20 weeks. Average range of motion of knee was 110 degrees. Among 20 patients there were 9 excellent result, 5 good results, 3 had fair results and 3 had poor results. Discussion: The LCP acts on the internal fixator principle as screws once locked to the plate do not pull the fracture towards the implant, and hence there is no displacement of the fracture once reduced. Distal femur locking plate provides angular stability and provides multiple options to secure fracture fragments, both metaphyseal and articular. In our study we get better functional outcome using locking compression plate for intraarticular distal femoral fracture. Along with anatomical reduction and rigid fixation, early mobilization and aggressive physiotherapy are key for better functional outcome. Conclusion: In present study better functional outcome achieved using locking compression plate for intraarticular distal femoral fracture along with aggressive physiotherapy.

Intra- Articular Fracture of upper end of Tibia occurring with increased frequency because of high velocity injuries as a result of growth of no. of vehicles & increased speed on expressways. Management of such high velocity trauma to joint is still a challenge to Orthopaedic surgeons. This study carried out to analyze various Operative methods of treatment of tibial plateau fractures. This is a prospective study of 22 cases of Tibial Plateau fractures treated operatively. Patients were followed from 6 months to 2 years. All fractures were classified with Schatzgar classification and treated with various operative methods like close reduction & percutaneous fixation, Open reduction & Internal Fixation (ORIF) or Minimally Invasive Plate Osteosynthesis (MIPO). All patients were assessed with Lansinger Criteria. Results suggests of operative treatment in displaced fractures of Tibial Plateau. Aim is Anatomical reduction, stable fixation & soft tissue preservation. MIPO technique is favored in fractures where closed reduction method achieves near anatomical reduction of fracture fragments. Open reduction is preferred in displaced and depressed Tibia Plateau fractures.
