In this study, a hydrogel composite adsorbent structure was reported and showed satisfactory adsorption performance. The study uses polylactic acid melt-blown nonwoven fabric to optimize and improve the adsorption performance of the hydrogel. The results show that the nonwoven fabric structure enables the composite material to reach the swelling equilibrium faster than the hydrogel. The adsorption-isotherm model found that the adsorption capacity of composite materials Pb(II) and Ni(II) reached 416.07 and 243.10 mg/g, respectively, and still had high removal efficiency at low pH. The composite material has low cost and can be reused, which solves the problems of difficulty in recovery of the hydrogel adsorbent, low strength, and easy damage, and promotes the industrialization of the hydrogel as an adsorbent.

The chromaticity coordinates and luminance factor are important indicators of the fluorescent dyeing performance of fluorescent dyed fabric. However, with the current bleaching pretreatment process, the chromaticity coordinates and luminance factor of fluorescent yellow dyed modacrylic/cotton blended fabric usually do not meet the requirements of standard ISO 20471. Here we report a new type of bleaching process method via sodium chlorite to solve the problem of yellowing of the background color of the modacrylic/cotton blended fabric. Compared with hydrogen peroxide bleaching, the whiteness of the modacrylic/cotton blended fabric was increased by 13.52% with sodium chlorite bleaching. The color performance analysis showed that the chromaticity coordinates and luminance factor of fluorescent yellow dyed modacrylic/cotton fabric after exposure to xenon light or washing cycles could meet the standard ISO 20471 requirements. Moreover, the fluorescent yellow dyed fabric has good color fastness, such as rubbing resistance, perspiration, laundering at 60°C, and dimensional stability. In addition, the fluorescent yellow dyed blended fabric also has flame retardant performance. Our work may provide a method for the preparation of high-visibility fluorescent yellow fabric with flame retardant performance. It could be used for multifunctional personal protective equipment.

Inspired by pomelo peel, this study designs an effective cushioning composite with a novel sandwich structure using a columnar lattice mold and two-step foaming technique. This sandwich composite consists of a polyamide nonwoven fabric (i.e. nonwoven surface) as the surface reinforcement layer and a double-layered spacer fabric as the bottom layer for energy absorbing. The static-compression resistance and dynamic cushioning efficacy of composites are investigated, examining the influences of three parameters (i.e. the areal density of the nonwoven surface and laminating angle and the mesh size of the double-layered spacer fabric). The experimental results show that the static-compression resistance and dynamic cushioning efficacy of the composites decrease when increasing the laminating angle of the spacer fabric and the areal density of the polyamide nonwoven fabric. By contrast, with an increment in mesh size, the compression resistance and cushioning efficacy of the composites first decrease and then increase. N200PUH/L(S5) consists of a 200 g/m2 nonwoven surface and a 0° laminated angle, 5 mm mesh size double-layered spacer fabric, which exhibits a higher cushioning efficacy than the pomelo peel. The acceleration of N200PUH/L (S5) was 39 g at 15 ms, and the acceleration of pomelo peel was 72 g at 7 ms, which were 60.7% and 28.5% lower than that of the blank group, respectively. The sandwich-structured composites are proven to have promising applications for low-velocity cushioning behavior, and this study combines the textile structure and foam technique, offering a perspective of designing cushioning composite sandwiches for future studies.

In this study, nonwoven fabrics, rigid polyurethane foam (RPUF), Basalt woven fabrics, and an aluminum foil film mold are used to produce multi-functional composite sheets with flame-retardant, sound-absorbing, and electromagnetic-shielding functions. The nonwoven layer is composed of Nomex fibers, flame-retardant PET fibers, and low-melting-point (LMPET) fibers via the needle rolling process. The optimal Nomex fiber/flame-retardant PET fiber/LMPET fiber (N/F/L) nonwoven fabrics are then combined with rigid polyurethane (PU) foam, Basalt woven fabric, and an aluminum foil film mold, thereby producing nonwoven/rigid polyurethane foam/Basalt woven fabric composite sheets that are wrapped in the aluminized foil film. The test results indicate that formed with a foaming density of 60 kg/m3 and 10 wt% of a flame retardant, the composite sheets exhibit electromagnetic interference shielding efficacy (EMI SE) that exceeds 40 dB and limiting oxygen index (LOI) that is greater than 26. The efficient and highly reproducible experimental design proposed in this study can produce multifunctional composite sheets that feature excellent combustion resistance, sound absorption, and EMI SE and are suitable for use in the transportation, industrial factories, and building wall fields.

Visible light response PAN@Ag-Ag2O/Sch (PAN@AS, schwertmannite and polyacrylonitrile abbreviated as Sch and PAN) nanofibers with different mass ratios were synthesized by electrospinning technology and pH-induced precipitation reaction. X-Ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy analysis showed that the formation of Ag-Ag2O/Sch heterojunction and Ag-Ag2O nanoparticles were evenly distributed on the surface of Sch. The prepared nanofibers have high oxidative removal performance for As(III) under visible light. In the PAN@AS0.10 system, the total As removal percent can reach 90.96% after 120 min irradiation at pH 4.0. The scavenger experiments confirmed that the main active substances of the PAN@AS0.10 system were h+ and •OH. The high oxidation and removal performance of the PAN@AS0.10 composite for As(III) was attributed to the effective separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs and high adsorption capacity of Sch for As under acidic conditions. This research provides a new material for the oxidation and removal of pollutants in water [such as As(III)] and also provides a research basis for the preparation of recyclable photocatalysts.

In order to prepare a new high-performance and flexibility stab-resistant composite material, one type of high-toughness and high-strength hydrogel is combined with aramid fabric. In this paper, the nanocomposite (NC) hydrogels are prepared using Pluronic F127 Diacrylate (PF127DA) as the crosslinking agent, acrylamide as the monomer and nano-silica as nano additive. The influence of the addition amount of nano-silica on the toughness and strength of nano-composite hydrogels is discussed. The strength and toughness of the NC hydrogels with nano silica are higher than that of the acrylamide hydrogel without nano particles. The NC hydrogel with the best strength is made as a composite with aramid fabric and the effect of nanocomposite hydrogel on the stab resistance of the stab-resistant composite material is studied. The research shows that the stab resistance performance of the composite material prepared by aramid fabric and nanocomposite hydrogel is effectively improved in comparison with aramid fabric, and the yarn pulling force is also improved. The composite material with high stab resistance can be used as the stab-resistant layer of armor, cut-resistant gloves and stab-resistant base material of shoes. This work provided a possibility for preparing a kind of lightweight composite material with high stab resistance.

Conventional personal protective equipment is usually made in multilayer stacks, and appears clumsy and uncomfortable, offering limited protection. In recent years, a newly-developed nanosuspension, shear thickening fluids (STFs), has been commonly applied to buffer and shock absorption. In this study, nonwoven fabrics are impregnated with 30 wt%, 35 wt%, or 40 wt% STF in order to strengthen the interaction among fibers. The resultant STF composite nonwoven fabrics are observed for their morphology, and tested for their tensile strength, tearing strength, bursting strength, and dynamic impact resistance, thereby examining the damage resistance of the materials. The SEM images indicate that the fibers are adhered with a tremendous amount of silicon dioxide (SiO2) particulates with a rise in the STF concentration, due to which the smooth fibers become rough. Moreover, the mechanical test results indicate that a rise in the STF concentration improves the frictional force during the relative motion of fibers, which subsequently mechanically strengthens the STF composite nonwoven fabrics. The dynamic impact test results show that when the STF concentration increases from 30 wt% to 35 wt%, the materials exhibit dynamic impact strength that is significantly improved to 51.9%. Nonetheless, significant improvement in dynamic impact strength is absent when the STF concentration increases to 40 wt%. To sum up, a critical value of STF concentration has a positive influence over the mechanical strengths of STF composite nonwoven fabrics.

Metal-organic framework materials not only possess porous structures, but also have excellent antibacterial properties. It is of great practical significance to prepare new antibacterial materials with excellent antibacterial effect by metal-organic framework materials. In our study, Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework-8 (ZIF-8) nanomaterials with antibacterial properties were prepared via the solvent method and diethanolamine template method. The materials were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), cold field-emission scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), N2 adsorption-desorption experiment, antibacterial experiment, and biocompatibility experiment. Results showed that ZIF-8 prepared by solvent method has a more typical hexagonal structure, larger specific surface area, and smaller pore size, and the values are 1812.07 m2g−1 and 2.2412 nm, respectively. At the same time, the materials prepared by the two methods have excellent antibacterial properties, and exhibit good biocompatibility at low concentrations, the antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus are higher than 95%, and the cell viabilities of the selected five material concentrations of 12.5 µg mL−1, 25 µg mL−1, 50 µg mL−1, 100 µg mL−1 and 200 µg mL−1 are more than 70%. Therefore, this study provides a feasible method for preparing Nano-scale antibacterial functional particles, and it is of great significance to broaden the application field of ZIF-8 materials and prepare ZIF-8 drug-delivery functional materials.

In the wake of increasing demands on skin health, we propose simple, natural, and safe dry facial masks that restrict melanin synthesis. Phyllanthus emblica (P. emblica) is made into powders via a low-temperature extraction and freeze-drying process to serve as a natural agent. Next, it is added to mixtures containing Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and Chitosan (CS), after which the blends are electrospun into PVP/CS/P. emblica nanofiber membrane dry facial masks using the electrospinning technique. The dry facial masks are evaluated using the calibration analysis method, extraction rate test, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), release rate test, tyrosinase inhibition assay, biocompatibility test, and anti-inflammatory capacity test. Test results indicate that when the electrospinning mixture contains 29.0% P. emblica, the nanofibers have a diameter of ≤214.27 ± 74.51 nm and a water contact angle of 77.25 ± 2.21. P. emblica is completely released in twenty minutes, and the tyrosinase inhibition rate reaches 99.53 ± 0.45% and the cell activity ≥82.60 ± 1.30%. Moreover, the anti-inflammatory capacity test results suggest that dry facial masks confine inflammatory factors. PVP/CS/P. emblica nanofiber dry facial masks demonstrate excellent tyrosinase inhibition and are hydrophilic, biocompatible, and inflammation-free. The dry facial masks are a suitable material that is worthwhile exploring and applying to the cosmetic field.

Bone tissue may suffer from bone injury and bone defects due to accidents or diseases. Since the demand for autologous bone and allograft tissue far exceeds the supply, bone scaffolds have taken the lead. The use of bone scaffolds is one of the measures to help heal or regenerate bone tissue. Therefore, a new bone scaffold was proposed in this study, which has a simpler preparation process and stronger performance. This study proposes bone scaffolds with an attempt to use polymers that are synthesized separately with three types of minerals as the filler using the microwave foaming method as follows. A 0.1 wt% of montmorillonite (MMT), zinc oxide (ZnO), or titanium dioxide (TiO2) is added to chitosan (CS)/gelatin mixtures, respectively, after which sodium bicarbonate is added as a foaming agent, thereby forming porous gels. The polymer synthesized from three minerals was used as filler. The following microwave foaming method was adopted: 0.1 wt% MMT, ZnO, or TiO2 was added to the CS/gelatin mixture, and then sodium bicarbonate was added as a foaming agent to form a porous gel. Next, porous gels and polycaprolactone were combined in a self-made mold in order to form bone scaffolds. A stereo microscope is used to observe the morphology of bone scaffolds, after which the pore size analysis, pore connectivity, swell property, porosity, and compressive strength are tested, examining the effects of the mineral type on bone scaffolds. The test results indicate that with MMT being the filler and sodium bicarbonate being the foaming agent, the resulting bone scaffolds yield a porous structure with a pore size between 120 μm and 370 μm. Besides, the incorporation of polycaprolactone also provides samples of 1MCG-P, 2MCG-P, and 5MCG-P with a certain compressive strength of 150–170 MPa. To sum up, the test results substantiate that a combination of the microwave foaming method and MMT generates a porous structure for bone scaffolds (1MCG-P, 2MCG-P, and 5MCG-P), involving a porosity of 38%, an inter-connected porous structure, and the compressive strength that exceeds 150 MPa.

Herein, Polyester woven fabrics as the matrices for the experimental group, while cotton knitted fabrics, cotton woven fabrics, and Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) mesh cloth used as the matrices for the control groups, at 40 °e, using 3,4-ethoxylene dioxy thiophene (EDOT)as the polymer monomer, FeCl3as the oxidant, and poly(sodium-p-styrenesulfonate) (PSS) as the dopant, are separately coated with PEDOT:PSS polymer to prepare flexible conductive composite fabrics. The influences of the fabric pattern, oxidant concentration, and monomer concentration on the electrical performance of composite fabrics are optimized. The maximal electrical conductivity of PET-based composite fabrics (218 S/m) occurs when monomer concentration is 0.035 mol/L, the molar ratio of oxidant to monomer is 2.5, and the dopant concentration is 2.5 g/L. Moreover, bacteriostasis rate of this composite fabric reaches 71.8%. Furthermore, by electrocardiogram (ECG) simulated human body unit test as well as human body ECG test, the optimal PET-based composite fabric electrode both has a lower impedance which helps form the stabilized ECG signal. The resulting fabric electrodes retain the soft and breathable advantages from fabrics and reduce the discomfort for a long-term use of conventional electrographic gel, thereby validating the empirical evidence for mobile, portable, wearable ECG electrodes.

We have synthesized a flexible polyurethane foam composite filled with expanded vermiculite powder and covered by concave-convex structural panel in order to improve the compression and cushioning property of PU foam. Concave-convex structural panel is that fabric cubes consisting of three layers of warp-knitted spacer fabrics arranged isometric apart between two layers of low-melting-point PET fabrics and then thermally processed at 180 °C. Effects of particle size and content of expanded vermiculite powders as well as the presence of concave-convex structural panel are examined in terms of foam structure and mechanical properties of composite PU foams. Expanded vermiculite addition decreases the energy required by pore nucleation, and the higher content of expand vermiculite results in pore diameter of foam and greater compression property. Filling of 2% vermiculites makes the compression property improved by 239% at 40% strain. Moreover, the smaller size of expanded vermiculite generates smaller and denser foam pore diameter and thus strengthened compression property. Foam composite with 800-mesh expanded vermiculites show the excellent compression property that 307% higher than neat PU foam at 40% strain. Concave-convex structural panel enhanced compression properties by 852% when fabric cubes arranged 1 cm apart and cushion efficiency by 29% compared to pure PU foam when fabric cubes arranged 4 cm apart. The resultant flexible polyurethane foam can absorb 97% energy at 12 J impact level. This composite can serve as the protective materials in kindergarten and old people's home.

For the pursuit of conductive textiles with high electromagnetic shielding performance, specified yarns are processed with a special spinning feeding device with twist counts of 40 T, 50 T, 60 T, 70 T, 80 T, and 90 T, for Next, the optimal yarns from each group are made into SS/Pc-70 and Cu/Pc-80 conductive woven fabrics with a plain weave structure design. In addition, the surface resistivity, electromagnetic shielding effectiveness measurement and air permeability of the two conductive woven fabrics were tested and analyzed. Regarding the electromagnetic shielding performance test, the effects of the complete shielding network, the lamination layers of fabric, and lamination angle on the electromagnetic shielding performance are discussed. The test results indicate that Cu/Pc-80 woven fabrics has the lowest surface resistivity, which means it has the best electrical conductivity; Moreover, different types of metal wires provide the conductive fabrics with different levels of surface resistance. The variations in the lamination angles help attain a complete conductive network that significantly enhances the EMSE, and Cu/Pc-80 have a greater average shielding value comparatively and thus greater EMSE. For both types of conductive woven fabrics, one-layered conductive woven fabrics exhibit the maximal air permeability. As the air permeability of conductive woven fabrics is correlated with the thickness of fabrics, the greater the number of lamination layers, the lower the air permeability of the conductive fabrics.

Oil and organic pollutants removal becomes an efficient solution to dispose of industrial oily and textile dye wastewater. This study proposes a lotus leaf-like bionic nanofibrous membrane with underwater superoleophobic for highly efficient oil-water separation. Papillary structure of the bionic membrane is formed by electrospraying of PVDF and TiO2 solutions on the surface of beaded-structure PVDF/TiO2 membrane. Dopamine is then decorated on the resultant PVDF/TiO2 membrane by in situ polymerization to be with hydrophilic-underwater oleophobic property for highly efficient oil-water separation. This bionic membrane has > 99 % oil-water separation efficiency, and high flux of 1389 ± 67 L m−2 h−1. Its contact angle of underwater petroleum ether and dichlomethane reaches 155° and 152°, respectively. Moreover, it has excellent water transport capacity, photocatalytic property, as well as high separation efficiency and flux even after 5-cycle filtration. This bionic nanofibrous membrane will become a promising candidate in clean production, industrial oil/water separation, water purification and efficient liquid transmission.

In this study, stainless steel (SS) filaments are wrapped in Ge fibers to form core-spun yarns. The yarns along with 500 D polyester (PET) fibers undergo weaving, thereby forming functional woven fabrics. The experiment is composed of two parts:yarns and fabrics. The yarns are twisted with TPI of 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, and then tested for tensile strength and tensile elongation. The yarns possess mechanical properties that are dependent on the TPI—the higher the TPI, the better the mechanical properties. The maximal mechanical properties occur when the core-spun yarns are made of 12 TPI where the maximal tensile strength is 5.26 N and the lowest elongation is 43.2%. As for the functional woven fabrics, they are made of Ge/SS core-spun yarns as the weft yarns and 500 D PET yarns as the warp yarns. The tensile strength, tensile elongation, negative ion release, electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE), and air permeability tests are conducted, determining the optimal woven fabrics. The 12 TPI core-spun yarns provide the woven fabrics with the maximal tensile strength of 153.6 N and the optimal elongation at break of 10.08%. In addition, the woven fabrics made with 8 or 9 TPI core-spun yarns exhibit an optimal EMI SE of 41 dB, an optimal air permeability of 212 cm3/cm2/s, and an optimal release amount of negative ion of 550–600 ions/cc. The proposed woven fabrics have a broad range of applications, such as functional garments and bedding.

Medical product contamination is a serious threat to patients’ health. However, designing medical covers that ensure Janus performance and outstanding abrasion resistance, mechanical performances has remained a great challenge. In this study, a novel Janus nonwoven fabric nonwoven fabric consists of a hydrophilic inner layer of polylactic acid (PLA)/lowmelting polylactic acid (LPLA) and a coated outer layer of hydrophobic thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is successfully fabricated. The subsequent PLA/LPLA-TPU textiles exhibits excellent protective performance of inner absorption. Moreover, the coating improves tensile strength and increases abrasion resistance. A mechanism of mechanical failure is further studied. This kind of nonwoven fabric is suggested to be a promising candidate for medical covers and health supplies.

To simply and effectively enhance the conversion capability of wearable thermoelectric textiles, a two-step in situ method is adopted to fabricate dual-shell photothermoelectric textiles which is made of polypropylene fibers with a photo-thermal layer (PPy) and a thermoelectric layer (PEDOT:Tos). The PPy is tailored to achieve high temperature and photothermoelectric effects. The PPy layer can significantly increase the photothermal conversion efficiencies of as-prepared fabric. The optimized photothermoelectric fabric can improve the generated voltage output from 294.13 to 536.47 μV under the infrared light, and its power density is up to 13.76 nW·m-2. A flexible photothermoelectric strip composed of as-prepared fabric coated with Ag particles and textile substrates with low thermal conductivity shows a voltage output of 2.25, 0.677, and 0.183 mV and a power output of 0.7031, 0.0636, and 0.0049 nW under IR light, sunlight, and on the arm, respectively. The photothermoelectric fabrics display potential as to a new smart wearable device for converting light and electricity.

Medical wound dressing with natural antibacterial efficacy is an important issue. However, few studies on Artemisia argyi oil based wound dressing have been studied because of the volatility of the Artemisia argyi oil. In this study, Artemisia argyi oil -microcapsules (AAO-MC)/PVC fibrous membrane were fabricated through emulsification-internal gelation and electrospinning method. The membranes were characterized by SEM, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and particle diameter, hydrophilicity, breathability, water vapor transmission rate (WVTR), and antibacterial performance were evaluated. The results show that AAO-MC microcapsules excellent stability, and the slow-release property. Moreover, the prepared AAO-MC/PVC fibrous membrane indicated good WVT (72.47 g/(m²·h)), high hydrophilicity (30.5°), and outstanding antibacterial rate (94.3%). This study provides a new strategy to prepare microcapsule nanofibrous membrane with excellent performance and is suggested to be a promising candidate for medical wound dressings.

In this study, we prepared a graded buffer composite by using shear thickening fluid (STF) capsules, polyurethane (PU) foam, and low-melting point PET fabric or spacer fabric with improved energy absorption performance. Various graded buffer composites are fabricated including STF capsule/PU foam covered with PET fabric (SC/PU/PET-CM) and STF capsule/PU foam covered with warp-knitted spacer fabric (SC/PU/WKSF-CM). The thermal stability and the mechanical properties of the graded buffer composite were tested. After adding STF capsules, PU foam still has good thermal stability whose weight- loss temperature reaches 200 ℃; and the compression energy and buffer performance both increases. The compression energy of S4-STF/PU is 2.26 times than that of S4-PU and 5.65 times than that of pure PU foam. Among SC/PU/PET-CM samples, HP-STF/PU graded foam composite showed the lowest impact force (3833 N). Comparatively, among SC/PU/WKSF-CM samples, the buffer performance of S4-STF/PU shows the best, and the impact value is reduced to 3921 N, which is 848 N lower (17.7%) than that of PU foam. The composites can be used as an alternative material in the field of protection.

With the significant advances in electronic products, materials with good flexibility, corrosion resistance, high electrical conductivity and minimal thickness are urgently needed. Herein, we demonstrate the biomimetic core–shell structure of lightweight, flexible, self-cleaning nanofiber films for high-performance electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding by tuning the deposition of Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs). With a thickness of 0.06 mm, PAN@TiO2@AgNPs composite films (PTA films) exhibit an average EMI shielding effectiveness (SE) of 82.60 dB. After further processing with fluorine-containing molecules, the PTA-4 film becomes superhydrophobic and anticorrosive. After a hydrophobic treatment, composite films have average SE, specific SE (SSE) and SSE/t being 79.57 dB, 360.86 dB cm3 g−1, and 60143.33 dB cm2 g−1, respectively. In particular, conductive films that undergo UV radiation and bending cycles retain a stabilized electrical conductivity. This tuning bio-inspired fabrication method provides the films with UV-resistance, superhydrophobicity and EMI SE that fit the practical applications of wearable and flexible sensors.

Janus nanofibrous membranes with thin fiber diameter, small pore size, and easy-tailored wettability/thickness gradient have attracted considerable attention in the directional water transport field. However, designing textiles that ensure continuous directional water transport and outstanding moisture permeable, breathable performances has remained a great challenge. In this study, a novel polyacrylonitrile/polyvinyl alcohol–thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) sandwich nanofibrous membrane with robust moisture permeable, breathable, and directional water transport performance is successfully fabricated with an innovation strategy combining electrospinning with structure-induced method. A good water vapor transmission rate of 9760 g/m2 d and robust breathability of 103 mm/s are obtained by turning the mass ratio of polyacrylonitrile and polyvinyl alcohol and the opening porous structure of TPU; these values are approximately five times those of commercial membranes. The sandwich fibrous membranes are suggested as promising candidates for various applications, especially in moisture-wicking clothing.

Electrospinning is an efficient method of producing nanofibers out of polymers that shows a great potential for the filtration territory. Featuring water-soluble chitosan (WS-CS), a low-pollution process and a self-made needleless machine, PVA/WS-CS nanofibrous membranes were prepared and evaluated for nanofiber diameter, bacteriostatic property, filtration efficiency, pressure drop, and quality factor. Test results indicate that the minimal fiber diameter was 216.58 ± 58.15 nm. Regardless of the WS-CS concentration, all of the PVA/WS-CS nanofibrous membranes attained a high porosity and a high water vapor transmission rate (WVTR), with a pore size of 12.06–22.48 nm. Moreover, the membranes also exhibit bacteriostatic efficacy against Staphylococcus aureus, an optimal quality factor of 0.0825 Pa−1, and a filtration efficiency as high as 97.0%, that is 72.5% higher than that of common masks.
