In this study, 292 female fig genotypes, (including foreign origins) in the fig field gene bank, were evaluated for qualitative characteristics in IPGRI (International Plant Genetic Resources Institute) definitions. These features are tree growth (tree growth power, branching, shoot length, etc.), leaf (leaf area, shape, number of lobes, etc.), fruit (fruit weight, color, ostiole opening, flesh thickness, etc.). Generally, non-metric definitions of these features were classified between certain ranges and expressed as percentage. For example; tree growth of genotypes was observed to be strong in 33% , and, apical dominance was determined in 17% of the genotypes. 60% of the genotypes have a medium (10-20cm) shoot length and, leaf area varies between 250-400cm2 in %53 . The color of the fruits was determined as yellow in 34%, green in 32%, purple in 21% and black in 13% of genotypes. Within the scope of this continuous project, the collection of multiple data continues., Bu çalışmada, incir arazi gen bankasında bulunan yabancı orijinliler de dahil olmak üzere 292 dişi incir genotipi, IPGRI (Uluslararası Bitki Genetik Kaynakları Enstitüsü) tanımlamalarındaki nitel özellikler yönünden değerlendirilmiştir. Genotiplerin %60’ı orta (10-20cm) sürgün uzunluğuna sahip olup, yaprak alanı %53’ünde 250-400cm2 arasında değişmektedir. Meyvelerin rengi, genotiplerin %34’ünde sarı, %32’sinde yeşil, %21’inde mor ve %13’ünde siyah olarak saptanmıştır. Bu sürekli proje kapsamında, çoklu verilerin alınmasına devam edilmektedir.

The stress on the marine environment caused by industrialization in developing economies is indisputable. The Aliağa region, which has unique features such as being heavily influenced by industrialization and having different types of marine habitats was preferred as a monitoring point. By determining the current status of fish density and diversity, the focus was on obtaining data that could allow future comparisons. Without the seasonal variability, 39 fish species representing 14 families were identified, with two abundant families: ten species in both Sparidae and Labridae. The greatest fish diversity was recorded respectively in the spring, summer and autumn. Abundant species were Boops boops with 19.3%, Chromis chromis (17.4%), Spicara smaris (15.0%) and Atherina boyeri (12.5%) in total abundance. A total of 1.89 individuals/m2 that weighed 20.43 g/m2 were identified in the study period.

Bu çalışma Eskişehir’in Günyüzü İlçesinde bulunan Kavuncu Göleti’ndeki kuş türlerini tespit etmek amacı ile 2018-2020 yılları arasında yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla nokta sayım ve hat boyu sayım yöntemleri ile kuş gözlemleri yapılmıştır. Çalışmalar sonucunda alanda 19 takıma ait 50 familyadan 206 kuş türü tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen türlerden 2 adedi IUCN kırmızı listesine göre küresel ölçekli olarak tehlike altında (EN), 3 adedi hassas (VU) ve 5 adedi ise tehdide yakın (NT) olarak sınıflandırılmıştır. Çalışma alanında 96 tür ile Passeriformes takımı en kalabalık grubu olmuştur. Tespit edilen kuşlardan 100 tür yerli, 79 tür yaz göçmeni, 21 tür kış göçmeni ve 6 tür ise transit tür olarak kayıtlanmıştır. Ancak alan farklı etmenler sebebi ile habitat bozulması ile karşı karşıya olup büyük bir tehlike altındadır. Sürdürülebilir alan yönetimi ile bu alanın korunması hem kuşlar hem de diğer türler açısından biyolojik çeşitliliği koruyacaktır., This study was carried out between 2018-2020 to determine the bird species in Kavuncu Pond in Eskişehir province. For this purpose, bird observations were made with point counting and transekt methods. A total of 206 bird species from 50 families belonging to 19 orders were identified in the area. two species of them were as globally endangered (EN), 3 of them as vulnerable (VU) and 5 of them as near-threatened (NT) according to the IUCN red list. Passeriformes order was the most crowded group with 96 species in the study area. We determined 100 resident species, 79 summer migrant species, 21 winter migrant species and 6 transit species. However, the area is faced with habitat degradation due to different factors and is under great danger. Sustainable management will preserve biodiversity of both birds and other species in Kavuncu pond.

Marmara Denizi’nin güneyinde Ocaklar Koyu kıyılarında Ekim 2021 ayında gerçekleştirilen sualtı gözlemleri sırasında üç farklı denizanası türü tespit edilmiştir. Bunlar Cotylorhiza tuberculata (Macri, 1778), Aurelia aurita (Linnaeus, 1758) ve Beroe ovata (Bruguière, 1789)’dır. Bu çalışmada genellikle Akdeniz’de yayılım göstermesine rağmen Marmara Denizi’nin güney kıyılarında daha önce hiç gözlenmeyen C. tuberculata türüne ait iki birey görülmüştür. Bireylerin şemsiye çapı sırasıyla 25 ve 38 cm olarak hesaplanmıştır. Mevcut çalışma C. tuberculata türünün Marmara Denizi’nin güney kıyılarında ilk kez bulunuşunu rapor etmekte olup Marmara Denizi için yeni bir dağılım/yayılım alanı bildirmektedir. Ayrıca, bu çalışmanın Marmara Denizi ekosistemindeki denizel türlerin biyolojik çeşitliliği ve alansal dağılımı üzerine önemli katkılar sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir., Three different jellyfish species were detected during the underwater observations which were carried out in October 2021 on the shores of the Ocaklar Bay, southern Marmara Sea. Observed jellyfish species are Cotylorhiza tuberculata (Macri, 1778), Aurelia aurita (Linnaeus, 1758), and Beroe ovata (Bruguière, 1789). Although it generally spreads in the Mediterranean Sea, two individuals of C. tuberculata species, which have never been observed previously in the southern Marmara Sea, were seen in this study. The umbrella diameters of both individuals were calculated as 25 and 38 cm, respectively. The present study reports the first occurrence of C. tuberculata on the southern coasts of the Marmara Sea and a new distribution/range area for the Marmara Sea. The present paper is also considered to provide significant contributions to the biodiversity and spatial distribution of marine species in the Marmara Sea ecosystem.

Dichodon (Bartl. ex Rchb.) Rchb. is a small genus and was formerly included in Cerastium. However, the first specimens of this genus were introduced to the literature as Stellaria. Dichodon, taxonomically, remains in between Cerastium and Stellaria genera. Although there are 16 identified species worldwide, the status of some of them is doubtful. There are three species identified so far in Turkey. In this study, the taxonomic status of the species belonging to the genus Dichodon is discussed. A species previously mentioned as a synonym has been validated. The distribution of all species in Turkey is shown on the maps and scientific Turkish names are suggested for the species. In addition, a new identification key was proposed for the first time and herbarium photographs of the species were added to the study.

Some interesting Crucianella (Rubiaceae) specimens were collected from Tomarza, Kayseri, Turkey, which drew attention with small corollas and distinctly tetrastichous spikes. These specimens, which are like C. disticha and C. macrostachya, belonging to the Crucianella section, are different since they have 4(-5) leaves on their nodes, that they have distinctly tetrastichous spikes, that their bracteoles are elliptic-lanceolate, that the corollas are 2.6-3.8 mm long, and that there are corolla tubes not nodes. These differences were evaluated according to the related literature and it was decided that these specimens are a new species for the world of science. The type address of the new species, which is named Crucianella turcica, is grown in the stony, sparsely vegetated plains at an elevation of between 1520-1600 meters. In this study, the detailed description of the new species, the morphological comparison of the species with C. disticha and C. macrostachya, informative photographs for the species and some ecological preferences were given. Furthermore, by taking into consideration the threats, which were determined with the existing and probable distribution, the threat category of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) was proposed for the species., Tomarza’dan (Kayseri, Türkiye) küçük korollaları ve belirgin dört sıralı başakları ile dikkat çeken bazı ilginç Crucianella (Rubiaceae) örnekleri toplandı. Crucianella seksiyonuna ait C. disticha ve C. macrostachya türlerine benzeyen bu örnekler; düğümlerinde 4(-5) yaprak bulunması, başaklarının belirgin dört sıralı olması, bıraktelerinin eliptik-mızraksı olması, korollalarının 2,6-3,8 mm boyunda ve koralla tüplerinin boğumsuz olmasıyla farklıdır. Bu farklılıklar ilgili literatür ışığında değerlendirildi ve örneklerin bilim dünyası için yeni bir tür olduğuna karar verildi. Crucianella turcica olarak adlandırılan yeni tür, tip adresinde 1520-1600 metreler arasındaki taşlı bozkırlarda yetişir. Bu çalışmada yeni türün detaylı betimlemesi, benzerlik gösterdiği C. disticha ve C. macrostachya ile morfolojik karşılaştırması, türe ait bilgilendirici fotoğraflar ve bazı ekolojik tercihler verilmiştir. Ayrıca mevcut ve muhtemel yayılışı ile tespit edilen tehditler dikkate alınarak, tür için IUCN tehdit kategorisi önerilmiştir.

Epilobium alpestre, one of the widespread Epilobium taxa in the Caucasia and Europe, is represented by one known population from the northeast of Turkey according to the current records. This study aimed to contribute to the systematics with botanical, palynological, and seed micromorphological characteristics, and distribution in Turkey of this species. Although E. alpestre closely resembles the E. montanum taxon, it is easily distinguished by its verticillate leaves, unsegmented stigma, and large seeds (1.5−2 mm). E. alpestre is also characterized baculate ornamentation of pollen and granulate-rugose ormanentation on seed surface. In this study, it was determined that Epilobium alpestre was represented by the only one confirmed population known in Turkey, and its detailed morphological and micromorphological features were determined and its expanded description was reconstructed., Daha çok Kafkasya ve Avrupa'da yayılış gösteren Epilobium alpestre, mevcut kayıtlara göre Türkiye’nin kuzeydoğusundan bilinen tek popülasyonla temsil edilmektedir. Bu çalışma ile taksonun Türkiye’deki dağılımı, ayrıntılı morfolojik özellikleri ile polen ve tohum mikromorfolojik özellikleri verilerek türün sistematiğine katkı sağlanması amaçlanmıştır. E. alpestre, E. montanum taksonu ile yakın benzerlik göstermekle birlikte vertisilat yaprakları, parçalanmamış sitigması ve büyük tohumları (1,5−2 mm) ile kolaylıkla ayırt edilmektedir. E. alpestre aynı zamanda çubuklu polen süslemesi ve tanecikli-buruşuk tohum yüzeyi özellikleri ile karakterize edilmektedir. Bu çalışma ile E. alpestre’nin Türkiye’de bilinen doğrulanmış tek popülasyon ile temsil edildiği tespit edilmiş ve ayrıntılı morfolojik ve mikromorfolojik özellikleri belirlenerek genişletilmiş betimi yeniden oluşturulmuştur.

It should not be ignored that plants, which are the basic elements of urban open green spaces, may have some negative effects on the environment during their life processes as well as many important benefits they offer to the urban ecosystem. At the beginning of these negative features is the fact that it contains poison in various parts of the plants. This study was carried out to determine the poisonous plants used in urban open green areas in Rize. Within the scope of the study, 113 poisonous plant taxa which are used in urban open green areas in Rize were determined and these were evaluated in terms of family, location, life form, leaf condition, bloom time, fruit/cone ripening time and the poisonous parts. As a result of this evaluation, it is revealed that when choosing plants to be used in urban open green areas, whether they contain poison or not is an important criterion to consider as well as their aesthetic and functional properties. In addition, various suggestions have been developed regarding the use of these plants in landscape architecture applications., Kentsel açık yeşil alanların temel unsuru olan bitkilerin kent ekosistemine sundukları birçok önemli faydanın yanı sıra yaşam süreçlerinde çevrelerine bazı olumsuz etkilerinin de olabileceği göz ardı edilmemelidir. Bu olumsuz özelliklerin başında ise bitkilerin çeşitli kısımlarında zehir ihtiva etmesi durumu gelmektedir. Bu çalışma, Rize kentsel açık yeşil alanlarında kullanılan zehirli bitkilerin belirlenmesi amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Çalışma kapsamında Rize kentsel açık yeşil alanlarında kullanıldığı tespit edilen 113 zehirli bitki taksonu; familya, bulunduğu bölge, yaşam formu, yaprak durumu, çiçeklenme zamanı, meyve/kozalak olgunlaşma zamanı ve zehirli kısımları bakımından değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirme sonucunda, kentsel açık yeşil alanlarda kullanılacak bitkiler seçilirken estetik ve fonksiyonel özelliklerinin yanı sıra zehir ihtiva edip etmediklerinin de göz önünde bulundurulması gereken önemli bir kriter olduğu ortaya çıkmaktadır. Ayrıca, bu bitkilerin peyzaj mimarlığı çalışmalarında kullanımları ile ilgili çeşitli öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

The present study deals with the morphological, anatomical, and palynological properties of Diplotaxis tenuifolia. The stem cross-sections had a single-layered epidermis, parenchymatous cortex, vascular bundles, and parenchymatic pith cells. An equifacial mesophyll type was observed in the leaves with multiple-layered palisade tissue, but the spongy parenchyma was reduced. Vascular bundles were small except for the midrib. The cross-sections of the fruit had a single exocarp, 3- or 4-layered mesocarp, and single-layered endocarp. Transverse sections of the seed showed the presence of layers of epidermis, parenchyma, and endosperm., Bu çalışmada Diplotaxis tenuifolia türünün morfolojik, anatomik, palinolojik ve mikromorfolojik özellikleri ele alınmaktadır. Gövde enine kesitleri, tek tabakalı epidermis, parankimatik korteks, iletim demetleri ve öz hücrelerini içermektedir. Yapraklarda, çok tabakalı palizat parankimalı ekvifasiyal tip mezofil gözlemlenmiş, fakat sünger parankiması indirgenmiştir. İletim demetleri orta damar hariç küçüktür. Meyve enine kesitleri tek bir ekzokarp, 3 ya da 4 tabakalı mezokarp ve tek tabakalı endokarpa sahiptir. Tohum enine kesitleri, epidermis, parankima ve endosperm tabakalarının varlığını göstermiştir.

Günümüzde değişen iklim şartlarına adapte olabilecek potansiyele sahip olan yabani rokanın (D. tenuifolia (L.) DC), sebze, tıbbi bitki, yağ bitkisi, yem bitkisi olarak kullanımı söz konusudur. Ayrıca sahip olduğu bitkisel özellikleri ile su erozyonu olan bölgelerde hızlı bitki örtüsü geliştirerek toprak ve su korumasında faydalanabileceğimiz bitki türlerindendir. Hızla değişen iklim şartlarında, sürdürülebilir bir tarımı sağlayabilecek bitkilerin ıslahının daha kısa sürede yapılabilmesi için verim ile arasında ilişki bulunan özelliklerin tespit edilmesi gerekir. Bu sebeple, bu çalışmada 2015-2016 yıllarında Konya şartlarında Tesadüf Blokları Deneme Desenine göre üç tekerrürlü olarak üç farklı sıra arlığında yabani roka yem bitkisi olarak kullanım amacıyla yetiştirilmiştir. Araştırmamızda, farklı sıra aralığında yetiştirilen bitkilerin 2016 yılındaki ham protein oranı, verimi ve protein verimi ile bitkisel özellikler ve besin elementleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada bitki başına en yüksek protein verimi, 30 ve 40 cm sıra aralığından sırasıyla 1.82 g ve 1.96 g olup istatistiki olarak bu değerler aynı grupta yer almaktadır. DC), which has adapted to changing climate conditions, uses vegetables, oil, medicinal, and forage crops. Furthermore, the species is one of the plants that are benefited from soil and water conservation by rapidly developing vegetation in areas with water erosion having botanical properties. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the characteristics related to the yield to the practical plant breeding in plants providing sustainable agriculture in a rapidly changing climate. For this reason, in this research, the wild rocket was grown for use as a fodder crop at three-row spacing according to Randomized Complete Block Design with three replication during 2015-2016 in Konya conditions. Our study aimed to investigate the relationship between crude protein, yield, protein yield, botanical properties, and nutrient content of plants grown in different row spacing in 2016. 30 cm and 40 cm row spacing, 1.82 g, and 1.96 g, respectively, had the maximum protein yield per plant; these values were statistically in the same group. In research, we obtained the highest protein yield from 30 cm row spacing with 404.42 kg ha-1. Moreover, the protein yield per plant of wild rocket grown at different row spacing individually explained 37% of the protein yield’s variation as the result of the path model clarifying the relationship between traits investigated in the search. Also, the plant fodder yield per plant, plant height, and crude protein explained 97.6% of the protein yield’s variation. Consequently, 30 cm and 40 cm row spacing are suggested in farming for obtaining roughage with high protein yield. However, we can state that the plant fodder yield per plant, plant height, canopy diameter and crude protein should be considered as selection criteria for the selection of types for developed forage crops.

Butterfly fauna (Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera) in and around Hirpora Wildlife Sanctuary, Shopian Kashmir, J&K UT, IndiaMuzafar RIYAZ 1ORCID: 0000-0001-9372-681X 1Division of Taxonomy & Biodiversity, Entomology Research Institute, Loyola College, Chennai, 600034, Tamil Nadu, IndiaAbstractButterflies (Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera) of Hirpora Wildlife Sanctuary and its adjoining areas are presented. The sanctuary is situated at the foothills of Pir Panjal mountain range (Inner Himalayas) in the southern escarpment of Kashmir’s Shopian District. The study was carried out from April to October 2021. A total number of 25 species from five families were recorded. The highest number of species were recorded from the family Nymphalidae followed by the family Pieridae. Additional field surveys and explorations in the upper reaches of the sanctuary will add further species to the butterfly inventory of the region., Hirpora Doğal Hayatı Koruma Alanı ve ve bölge çevresindeki farklı habitatlardan toplanan kelebek örnekleri (Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera) sunulmuştur. Kutsal alan, Keşmir'in Shopian Bölgesi'nin güney yamacındaki Pir Panjal sıradağlarının (İç Himalayalar) eteklerinde yer almaktadır. Çalışma Nisan-Ekim 2021 arasında gerçekleştirildi. Beş familyadan toplam 25 tür kaydedildi. En fazla tür Nymphalidae familyasından kaydedilmiştir, bunu Pieridae familyası izlemiştir. Çevresinde özellikle kuzey kısmında yürütülecek yeni çalışmalar ile bölge için yeni tür kayıtlarının ve yeni türlerin tespit edilebileceği öngörülmektedir.

Potamon potamios (Olivier, 1804) türünün Gölbaşı (Balık) Gölü'ndeki (Gölbaşı Köyü - Kırıkhan - Hatay) popülasyon yoğunluğunun belirlenmesi amacıyla Temmuz 2020 ve 2021'de belirlenen örnekleme noktalarından örnekler toplanmıştır. Örnekleme 3 hafta boyunca haftada bir olmak üzere toplam 6 kez yapılmıştır. Numuneleri yakalamak için tek taraflı kapıları içeriye doğru açılabilen tel kafesler kullanılmıştır. Kafeslerin içine yem olarak balık kalıntıları konmuştur. Aynı bireylerin tekrar sayılmasını engellemek için, her sayımdan sonra bireyler suya dayanıklı ve mor ışıkta görülebilen kalemle işaretlenmiştir. Örneklerin incelenmesi sırasında, dişi ve erkek bireylerin sayımları yapılmış ve kaydedilmiştir. Sayılan bireyler, işaretlemenin ardından habitatlarına geri bırakılmıştır. Nüfus sayımı sonunda düşük yağış ve kuraklığın da etkisiyle 2021 yılında nüfusta azalma olduğu gözlemlendi. 2020 yılında tespit edilen toplam örnek sayısı 196 iken, 2021 yılında 84 örnek tespit edilmiştir. Birey sayısındaki ani düşüşün nedeninin, yağışların az olması nedeniyle yeraltı su seviyesinin düşmesi ve göl seviyesinin çekilmesi olduğu düşünülmektedir., To determine the population density of the Potamon potamios (Olivier, 1804) species in Gölbaşı (Fish) Lake (Gölbaşı Village - Kırıkhan - Hatay), samples were collected in July 2020 and 2021. Once a week during the period of 3 weeks, a total of 6 times. Wire cages with one-sided doors that could open inwards were used to capture the fish samples. Fish remains as bait was placed in the cages. To avoid recounting the same individuals, individuals were marked after each count with a water-resistant pen that can be seen in purple light. Collected samples were examined live at the sampling point. During the examination of the samples, male and female individuals were counted and recorded. Enumerated individuals were released back into their habitats after marking. At the end of the census, it was observed that there was a decrease in the population in 2021 with the effect of low rainfall and drought. While the total number of samples detected in 2020 was 196, 84 individuals were detected in 2021. It is thought that the reason for the sudden decrease in the number of individuals is the decrease in the groundwater level due to low precipitation and the withdrawal in the lake level.

Bu çalışma farklı coğrafik koşullarda bulunan 3 farklı bölgede epigean böcek türlerinin biyolojik çeşitlilik parametrelerinin karşılaştırılması amacıyla 2022 yılında yapılmıştır. Çalışma alanı olarak 3 farklı rakımda yer alan Tefenni Plain, Beyköy (Abdülmelik) Plain and Çaylı Mountain Village seçilmiştir. Her bölgede anason ve rezenenin olduğu agro-ekosistemlere çukur tuzaklar yerleştirilmiş ve çukur tuzaklarla yakalanan epigean böcek türleri haftalık olarak kontrol edilmiştir. Çoğu Carabidae familyasından olmak üzere toplam 117 epigean böcek türene ait 2086 birey örneklenmiştir. En yüksek sayıda birey sırasıyla 841 ve 440 ile Tf ve Ta'da örneklenmiştir. Shannon-Wiener çeşitliliğinin sonuçları 2,7893 ile en yüksek Ta'da, en düşük ise 2,1775 ile Ca'da bulunmuştur. Shannon-Wiener çeşitlilik sonuçlarına benzer şekilde, Simpson çeşitlilik sonuçları da 0.9196 ile en yüksek Ta'da ve 0.7813 ile en düşük Ca'da hesaplanmıştır. Simpson'ın dominantlık sonuçları, Ca'nın 0.2187 ile en yüksek domiantlığa sahip agro-ekosistem olduğunu belirlemiştir. En dominant ikinci ve üçüncü agro-ekosistemler ise sırasıyla 0,1847, 0,1635 ile Tf ve Cf olarak bulunmuştur. Hem Shannon'a hem de Simpson Evenness'e göre; Bf ve Ba'da yaşayan epigean türlerinin popülasyon yoğunluklarının diğer tarımsal ekosistemlere göre daha dengeli olduğu görülmüştür. Yüzde benzerlik analizi farklı coğrafi koşullarda seçilen bölgelerin birbirlerine aynı tür bitkilerin birbirine benzemelerinden daha çok benzediklerini göstermektedir.Beklenenin aksine epigean böcek türlerinin bitki desenine göre dağılım göstermedikleri ve bitkilerle doğrudan ilişkili olmadıkları görülmüştür. Örneklenen epigean böcek türlerinin rakım farkından etkilendikleri düşünülmektedir, This study was carried out to compare the biodiversity parameters of epigean insect species in 3 different regions with different geographical conditions. Tefenni Plain, Beyköy (Abdülmelik) Plain and Çaylı Mountain Village, which are located at 3 different altitudes, were chosen as the study area. Pitfall traps were placed in agro-ecosystems of anise and fennel in each region and epigean insect species caught with pitfall traps were checked weekly. A total of 2086 individuals belonging to 117 epigean insect species, mostly from the carabid family, were sampled. The highest number of individuals were sampled in Tf and Ta with 841 and 440, respectively. The results of Shannon-Wiener diversity were found to be the highest in Ta with 2.7893 while the lowest was found in Ca with 2.1775. Similar to Shannon-Wiener diversity results, Simpson diversity results were calculated as highest in Ta with 0.9196 and lowest in Ca with 0.7813. Simpson's dominance results determined that Ca was the highest dominant agro-ecosystem with 0.2187. The second and third most dominant agro-ecosystems were found to be Tf and Cf with 0.1847, 0.1635, respectively. According to both Shannon and Simpson Evenness; the population densities of epigean species living in Bf and Ba were found to be more balanced than in other agro-ecosystems. The percentage similarity analysis shows that the regions selected in different altitudes were more similar to each other than the plants of the same species. Contrary to expectations, it was observed that epigean insect species did not show distribution according to plant pattern and were not directly related to plants. It is thought that the epigean insect species sampled are affected by the altitude difference

Bu çalışmada 2022 yılının Nisan–Eylül ayları arasında Musa Dağı'na yapılan arazi çalışmalarından (Samandağ/HATAY) elde edilen Cercopidae Leach, 1815 (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Cicadomorpha) örnekleri değerlendirilmiştir. Toplanan örneklerin teşhisi sonucu iki cinse ait üç tür tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen türlerden Cercopis distincta (Melichar, 1896)'da görülen bazı varyasyon tipleri kayıt altına alınmıştır. Bu araştırma ile Triecphorella geniculata (Horváth, 1881) Hatay ili için ilk kez kaydedilmiştir. Bu türün habitus ve genitalia parçalarına ait detaylı fotoğraflar sağlanmıştır. Tespit edilen tüm türlerin mevcut verileri dikkate alınarak güncel yayılış haritaları oluşturulmuş ve buna göre bu türlerin dağılış desenleri ile ilgili kısa değerlendirilmeler yapılmıştır., In this study, Cercopidae Leach, 1815 (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Cicadomorpha) specimens obtained from field studies on Musa Mountain (Samandağ/HATAY) between April and September 2022 were evaluated. As a result of the identification of the collected specimens, three species belonging to two genera were identified. Some variation types seen in Cercopis distincta (Melichar, 1896), one of the detected species, were recorded. With this research, Triecphorella geniculata (Horváth, 1881) was recorded for the first time in Hatay province. Detailed photographs of the habitus and genitalia parts of this species are provided. Considering the available data of all identified species, current distribution maps were created and brief evaluations were made about the dispersal patterns of these species.

Turkey, which has richer biodiversity than many surrounding countries, takes some measures at the national and international level to carry this feature to the future in a sustainable way. Conservation of biodiversity is to determine the prominent areas in this regard and the determination of species diversity at a local scale depends on scientific studies. One of the biodiversity levels, alpha species diversity provides the information necessary for the conservation of any area, however, it is also very important to know the sensitivity of habitats to external factors. By determining the balance and sensitivity of ecosystems, the conservation concept can be addressed from a holistic perspective by determining the areas where species are distributed in a balanced way as well as biodiversity. In this study, by applying SHE analysis to the alpha diversity values of Kargı and Karpuz Stream valleys, the species richness and Shannon alpha diversity values of the areas, as well as the balance and sensitivity of the species within the community, were investigated. As a result, by adding the number of individuals and their distribution in the sample areas to the plant species diversity data, the regions that should be given priority in protection in these valleys were determined.

Anadolu faunası akrep çeşitliliği bakımından oldukça zengindir. Yapılan çalışmalar ile her geçen gün faunaya yeni türler eklenmektedir. Ancak teşhis sürecinde bazı hatalar yapılabilmekte ve Euscorpius soyunda bulunan bazı farklı türler yalnızca geleneksel yöntemler ile teşhis edilmeye çalışıldığında aynı tür olarak da tanımlanabilmektedirler. Yaptığımız bu çalışmada Ankara Soğuksu Milli Parkından toplanan 10 akrep örneği hem geleneksel hem de moleküler düzeyde tanımlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bir DNA barkod geni olarak kullanılan mitokondrial sitokrom oksidaz subunit I (COI) ile yapılan moleküler analizde akrep türlerinin Euscorpius phrygius (Bonacina, 1980) oldukları tespit edilmiştir., Anatolian fauna is very rich in terms of scorpion diversity. New species are added to the fauna day by day in line with the new studies. Some mistakes can be made during identification process and even some different species of the Euscorpius lineage can be defined as the same species if they are characterized using solely conventional methods. The scorpion specimens were examined using both conventional and molecular methods collected from Ankara Soğuksu National Park. As a result of molecular analysis using Mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) gene as a DNA barcoding, the scorpion species in this study were identified as being Euscorpius phrygius (Bonacina, 1980).

Polen apertür tipi, şekli, boyutu, polar eksen uzunluğu, ekvatoral eksen uzunluğu, P/E oranı, kolpus uzunluğu, sekzin ve nekzin kalınlığı, S/N oranı, süslenme tipi, lümen şekli ve genişliği ışık ve taramalı electron mikroskobu kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. 19 oymağa ait 30 cinsten 43 takson için 3 nitel ve 8 nicel polen karakterine dayalı olarak Gover’s genel benzerlik katsayısı ve UPGMA kullanılarak çok değişkenli bir analiz gerçekleştirilmiştir. İncelenen tüm taksonlarda, polen taneleri genellikle küçük veya orta büyüklükte ve trikolpat olup, Matthiola longipetala’nın dışında belirgin bir apertüre sahiptir. Polen şekli prolat-sferoidalden perprolata kadar değişiklik göstermiştir. Ekzin süslenmesi mikroretikülat, retikülat veya makroretikülattır. Bazı türlerde retikülat süslenme mikroretikülat ile, bazı türlerde de makroretikülat süslenme ile birlikte bulunmuştur. Bazı cinslere ait taksonların dendogram üzerinde birbirine yakın olarak konumlanışı, Brassiceae, Alysseae, Sisymbrieae ve Camelineae gibi bazı oymakların kısmen desteklendiğini göstermektedir. Dendrogramda birbirine yakın konumlanan yakın akraba olan bazı oymakların bazı önceki moleküler çalışmalarda kısmen desteklenmesi dikkate değerdir. Ekzin süslenmesine ek olarak, polen boyutu, şekli, sekzin ve nekzin kalınlığı ve kolpus uzunluğu en kullanışlı karakterlerdir. Bu karakterler familya içindeki bazı cinsleri, türleri kısmen de oymakları tanımlamak ve ayırt etmek için kullanılabilir. Bu karakterler ayrıca, bazıları burada ilk kez incelenen bazı Brassicaceae taksonlarının polen taneleri hakkında ayrıntılı bilgi sağlamakta olup, elde edilen bu bilgiler gelecekteki polen çalışmalarında karşılaştırmalar için yararlı olacaktır., Pollen aperture type, shape, size, polar axis length, equatorial axis length, P/E ratio, colpus length, thickness of the sexine and nexine, S/N ratio, ornamentation type, and lumen shape and width were determined by using light and scanning electron microscope. A multivariate analysis was carried out using the Gover’s general similarity coefficient and UPGMA based on 3 qualitative and 8 quantitative pollen characters for 43 taxa belonging to 30 genera and 19 tribes. In all of the taxa studied, the pollen grains were generally small or medium-sized, tricolpate, except in Matthiola longipetala, with an inconspicuous aperture. The shape varied from prolate-spheroidal to perprolate. The exine ornamentation was microreticulate, reticulate, or macroreticulate. In some species, reticulate ornamentation was found together with microreticulate, and in some others, with macroreticulate ornamentation. It was seen that some taxa belonging to some genera placed near each other in the dendogram partially supported some tribes, such as Brassiceae, Alysseae, Sisymbrieae, and Camelineae. It is notable that some closely-related tribes were placed near each other on the dendrogram, which partially supports some previous molecular studies. In addition to exine ornamentation, the pollen size, shape, sexine and nexine thickness, and colpus length were the most useful characters. These characteristics can be used to identify and distinguish some genera, species and partly tribes within the family. They also provide detailed information on the pollen grains of some Brassicaceae taxa, some of which were studied herein for the first time, and this knowledge will be useful for comparisons in future pollen studies.

Uydu verileri, yangın hakkında bilgi sağlayarak hasar tespiti ve iyileştirme çalışmalarına ciddi katkı sunmaktadır. Özellikle çok bantlı uydu sistemleri sayesinde yangın hasarlı alanların kesin bir şekilde belirlenmesi ve hızlı bir şekilde haritalanması mümkün olmaktadır. Özellikle sınıflandırma teknikleri ve spektral bilginin kullanılmasıyla bu tarz çalışmalar küresel ve bölgesel olarak gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu çalışmada Avrupa Uzay Ajansı (ESA) tarafından işletilen Sentinel 2 uydu sistemiyle elde edilen görüntüler kullanılarak Harran Üniversitesi Osmanbey kampüsü ve civarında meydana gelen yangın incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın temel amacı yangın bölgesini belirlemek, bu bölgeyi hasar seviyesine göre sınıflandırmak ve her hasar sınıfındaki bitki varlığı değişimini tespit etmektir. Bu noktada klasik anlamda denetimli ya da denetimsiz sınıflandırma uygulamak yerine bitki indeksi ve yangın indeksi görüntüleri elde edilerek meydana gelen yangın alanı belirlenmiş ve hasar gören bu alanın kendi içinde maruz kaldıkları hasar seviyeleri belirlenmiştir. Daha sonra her hasar seviyesi ile bitki yoğunluğu incelenerek bitki yoğunluğu seviyelerindeki kayıp belirlenerek haritalandırılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda toplamda 55 hektar alanın yangından farklı derecelerde hasar gördüğü ve buna bağlı olarak faklı bitki yoğunluğundaki alanlarda kayıplar olduğu belirlenmiştir., Satellite data provides information about fire, making a serious contribution to damage assessment and improvement efforts. Especially thanks to the multi-band satellite systems, it is possible to determine the fire damaged areas precisely and to map them quickly. Especially with the use of classification techniques and spectral information, such studies are carried out globally and regionally. In this study, using the images obtained with the Sentinel-2 satellite system operated by the European Space Agency (ESA), Harran University Osmanbey campus and its fire have been examined. The main purpose of the study is to determine the fire zone, classify this zone according to the damage level and determine the change in plant existence in each damage class. At this point, instead of applying supervised or unsupervised classification methods, the fire area occurred by obtaining vegetation index and fire index images, and the damage levels were determined. Later, by examining each damage level and plant density, the loss in plant density levels were determined and mapped. As a result of the study, it was determined that a total of 55 hectares of land was damaged to different degrees from the fire and accordingly there are losses in areas with different vegetation densities.

A new identification key, full descriptions, and distribution records based on various herbaria of Turkish Moenchia are given in this study. Detailed and comparative descriptions of the studied species have been prepared. Also, a new species, Moenchia akmanii M.Keskin sp. nov., is described as for science. The new species is morphologically similar to M. graeca that is but differs by long stems, different leaves, non-flowering shoots, 3-nerved sepals, mauve anthers, etc. The new identification key has been created to distinguish taxa distributed in Turkey.

Bu araştırmanın amacı farklı kurutma sürelerinin zufa/çördük otu (Hyssopus officinalis L.) bitkisinin verim ve uçucu yağ oranı üzerine etkisinin belirlenmesidir. Tarla denemesi, Eskişehir ekolojik koşullarında tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre 4 tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Hasat edeilen taze bitki örnekleri farklı sürelerle (taze herba, 24, 48 ve 72 saat) kurutma fırınında 35°C kurutulmuştur. Daha sonra, bitki örneklerinin uçucu yağ oranları Clevenger tipi cihaz kullanılarak su distilasyonu yöntemiyle belirlenmiştir. Yürütülen çalışmada, ortalama bitki boyu (cm), tek bitki verimi (g bitki-1), herba verimi (kg da-1), yaprak + çiçek verimi (kg da-1), uçucu yağ oranı (%) ve uçucu yağ verimi (L da-1) değerleri sırasıyla 60.63 cm, 242.69 g bitki-1, 1209.81 kg da-1, 487.06 kg da-1, % 0.50 ve 2.17 L da-1 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Sonuçlar; zufa bitkisinde farklı kurutma sürelerinin verim ve uçucu yağ oranı üzerinde etkili olduğunu göstermiştir.

AimIn this study, fish species living in the Elekçi Stream, which poured from the borders of Fatsa District of Ordu Province to the Black Sea, were to determine as taxonomical. Material and MethodsIn the study, samples were taken from Bolaman and Elekçi Rivers using an electroshock device from six pre-determined stations between January 2017 and October 2018. Specimens were brought to the laboratory. The samples were then stored in formaldehyde solution (4%) for further examination and their metric and meristic characteristics were determined.Results and DiscussionAccording to the results, two of the nine fish species were identified as native and one non-native new record species for Elekçi Stream for the first time as to the previous study performed in. These species are Alburnoides fasciatus, Ponticola turani, and Oncorhynchus mykiss belonged to three families (Leuciscidae, Gobiidae, and Salmonidae), respectively. However, other sampled species were found also to be Capoeta banarescui, Barbus tauricus, Rhodeus amarus (Cyprinidae), Alburnus derjugini, Squalius cephalus (Leuciscidae), similar to the results of the other study. The species previously identified as Neogobius fluviatilis in Elekçi Stream was designated as the homeotype of Ponticola turani for this stream., AmaçBu çalışmada Ordu İli’nin Fatsa İlçesi’nin sınırlarından Karadeniz Dökülen Elekçi Deresi’nde yaşayan balık türlerini tespit etmekti. Materyal ve YöntemlerÇalışmada Elekçi Deresi’nden Ocak 2017-Ekim 2018 arasında önceden belirlenen altı istasyondan elektroşoker kullanılarak örneklemeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Örnekler laboratuvara getirildi, daha sonra tekrar incelenmek üzere numuneler formol solüsyonunda (%4) muhafaza edilmiştir ve meristik ve metrik morfolojik karakterleri belirlenmiştir. Tür tayinleri referans kaynaklardan yararlanılarak yapılmıştır.Sonuçlar ve TartışmaElde edilen sonuçlara göre, Elekçi Deresi’nde daha önceden yapılmış çalışmaya göre doğal iki tür ve doğal olmayan bir tür tespit edilmiştir. Bu türler sırasıyla, üç familyadan (Leuciscidae, Gobiidae, and Salmonidae) Alburnoides fasciatus, Ponticola turani, and Oncorhynchus mykiss’tir. Bununla birlikte diğer çalışmanın sonuçlarına benzer olarak Capoeta banarescui, Barbus tauricus, Rhodeus amarus (Cyprinidae), Alburnus derjugini, Squalius cephalus (Leuciscidae) türleri de tespit edilmiştir. Daha öncesinde Elekçi Deresi’nde Neogobius fluviatilis olarak tespit edilen tür bu dere için Ponticola turani’nin homeotipi olarak belirlenmiştir.

Taxus baccata L. (Porsuk ağacı), ülkemizde populasyonu azalmakta olan ve yer yer korunmaya alınmış değerli bir ağaçtır. Genel olarak gölgeli ve korunaklı kuzey bakılarda serpili olarak görülür. Mustafakemalpaşa ve Karacabey ilçelerinde yamaç araziler ve dere içlerinde küçük popülasyonlara ve bireylere sahip olan T. baccata Bursa florası için önemli doğal ve tıbbi bitkilerdendir. Bu çalışmada araştırma yapılan ilçelerdeki porsuk ağacının doğal yayılış alanları, bulunan bireylerin boyutları, türün yöredeki yetişme ortamı özellikleri, yerel insanlar tarafından kullanımı ile ilgili etnobotanik bilgilerin derlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Arazi çalışmalarında porsuk ağaçlarının bulundukları yerin bakısı, rakımı, koordinatları, çap-boy gelişimleri, arazinin mülkiyeti ve bireylerin görüntüleri kaydedilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda Mustafakemalpaşa (133 adet) ve Karacabey (39 adet) ilçelerinde 172 adet porsuk ağacı tespit edilmiştir. Bireylerin en fazla kuzey (%54,7) bakıda yer aldığı ve (%95,4)’ ünün orman arazisinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Tür en düşük 192 m ve en yüksek 1034 m yükseltide görülmektedir. Yayılış gösterdiği yerlerde, korunmasına yönelik silvikültürel bakım tedbirleri uygulanmalıdır. Doğal olarak bulunduğu yerlerde porsuk ağacının gençleşmesi ve çoğalmasında güçlükler bulunmaktadır. Diğer yandan hassas yetişme ortamlarında bulunan porsuk ağacı iklim değişikliğinden en fazla etkilenmesi beklenen türlerdendir. Bundan dolayı tür ile ilgili özel farkındalık ve koruma çalışmalarına ihtiyaç bulunmaktadır., Taxus baccata L. (Yew Tree), a valuable and sometimes conserved tree in our country, has been decreased in population. Generally, it is scattered in the shady areas and northern aspects of forest landscapes. T. baccata, a natural and medicinal plant for the flora of Bursa, has small populations in creeks and hillsides in Mustafakemalpaşa and Karacabey. In this study main objectives were the finding of natural distribution areas and the individuals at different altitudes in the districts surveyed, habitat characteristics of individuals, the collection of ethnobotanical information about the species from the local people. In the field trips, major characteristics of each tree and its site were recorded including diameter, height, land use, the views of the individuals, aspects, altitudes, and coordinates. After the result of field trips, 172 trees were recorded in Mustafakemalpaşa (133) and Karacabey (39). The largest part of the trees was forest land (%95,4) and north aspects (%54,7). The lowest and the highest elevation of the species in the region were 192 m and 1034 m, respectively. The silvicultural tending treatments should be applied for the conservation of yew tree populations and individuals. There are difficulties in the regeneration and reproduction of yew trees in the natural distribution sites. On the other hand, yew trees growing in sensitive sites are expected to be most affected by climate change. Therefore, there is a need for special public awareness and conservation studies for the species.

Muğla İli Ula İlçesi Merkez ve bağlı mahallelerinde 2016-2018 yılları arasında yaptığımız etnobotanik alan çalışmamızda farklı yaş ve sosyal kategorilerden kişilerle görüşülmüştür. Çalışma alanımız olan Ula’da 53 familyaya ait 123 bitki türü kaydedilmiştir. Bu bitkilerden 70 tanesi yörede doğal yayılışa sahip olup,45 tanesi de halk tarafından yetiştirilmektedir.10 bitki türü ise hiçbir şekilde yetiştirilmemektedir. 10 bitki türü aktarda, 8 bitki türü pazarda tespit edilmiştir. Yörede kullanılan bitkilerin çoğunlukla tıbbi ve gıda amaçlı olarak kullanıldığı görülmüştür.71 bitki türünün tıbbi, 69 bitki türünün gıda ve baharat amaçlı kullanımları saptanmıştır. Bölgede 28 bitki yakacak, süpürge ve eşya yapımında, 2 bitki türü koruma temizlik ve bakım amaçlı kullanılmaktadır. Doğal olarak yetişen 53 familya içerisinden Rosaceae 12 tür, Lamiaceae 10 türle en yüksek kullanım oranına sahiptir. Rosaceae familyasına ait Cydonia oblonga Mill., Pyrus communis L.ve Lamiaceae familyasına ait Origanum onites L. ve Lavandula stoechas L.’nın yörede yaygın olarak kullanılan bitkiler arasında olduğu tespit edilmiştir. İçerdiği bitki türü sayısı bakımından bu familyaları 9 türle Fabaceae, 7 türle Poaceae izlemektir. Ayrıca Hypericaceae’den Hypericum perforatum L. var. perforatum, Pinaceae’den Pinus nigra Arn., Platanaceae’den Platanus orientalis L., Oleaceae’den Olea europaea L., Tiliaceae’den Tilia rubra L. yörede yaygın olarak kullanılan bitkiler arasında yer almaktadır.

A single specimen of striped eel fish Plotosus lineatus (Thunberg, 1787) has been captured in August 2022 from Mersin Bay, at 3 m depth. This study reveals the second record from Turkish waters and the first occurrence from northeastern Mediterranean coast of Turkey (Mersin Bay). This species has been formed in this region, indicating that its trend has the potential to spread westward along the northern side of coast of Turkey. Besides, this species also first successive alien plotosid recorded from Mediterranean marine waters of Turkey. All measurements and counts as well as color descriptions of P. lineatus agree with previous descriptions.

Jeolojik bakımdan tektonik bir yapıya sahip olan Tuz Gölü Özel Çevre Koruma Bölgesi, Ramsar ölçütlerine göre biyolojik çeşitliliğin korunması açısından büyük önem taşıyan “A Sınıfı” bir sulak alandır ve uluslararası ölçütlere göre korunmaktadır. Büyük bir sahayı kaplamasına karşın Türkiye’nin en sığ göllerine sahip olan Tuz Gölü Özel Çevre Koruma Bölgesi, yıllık ortalama 324 mm/m2 yağış miktarı ile ülkenin en kurak coğrafyasında yer almaktadır. Çalışmada bu göllerde yaşayan Cyanophyta, Bacillariophyta, Chlorophyta ve Euglenophyta gruplarına ait türler teşhis edilmiştir. Porphyrosiphon versicolor 1,08 mg/L ile siyanotoksin üreten türler arasında en yoğun tür olarak belirlenmiştir. Tuz Gölü Özel Çevre Koruma Bölgesi’nde çeşitli kuş türlerinin besinini teşkil eden Artemia salina ve mikroskobik alglerden özellikle Dunaliella salina ile bazı diyatome ve siyanobakteri türleri bol miktarda bulunur. Fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri bakımından aylara göre farklılık gösteren aşırı tuzlu bu ortamda halofilik türler bulunmaktadır., Tuz Lake Special Environmental Protection Area, which has a tectonic structure in terms of geology, is a "Class A" wetland, which is of great importance for the protection of biological according to Ramsar criteria, and is protected according to international criteria. Although Tuz Lake Special Environmental Protection Area covers a large area, which has the shallowest lakes in Türkiye, is located in the driest geography of the country with an average annual precipitation of 324 mm/m2. In the study, species belonging to the Cyanophyta, Bacillariophyta, Chlorophyta, and Euglenophyta groups living in these lakes have been identified. Porphyrosiphon versicolor was determined as the most concentrated species among the cyanotoxin producing species with 1.08 mg/L. In Tuz Lake Special Environmental Protection Area, Artemia salina, which is the food of various bird species, and especially Dunaliella salina, which is one of the microscopic algae, and some diatom and cyanobacteria species are abundantly distributed. There are halophilic species in this extremely salty area, which differs according to the months in terms of physical and chemical properties.

Bu araştırma, Elazığ’ın (Doğu Anadolu) kuzeydoğusunda, Karakoçan, Sarıcan Beldesi ve dağlarını da içine alan bölgenin monokotiledon petaloid geofitlerini tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma alanından 2018-2022 yılları arasında 110 bitki örneği toplanmıştır. Örneklerin değerlendirilmesi sonucu, 10 familyaya ait, 23 cins ve 76 takson tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan tespitler sonucunda 21 (%27,65) endemik takson belirlenmiştir. Araştırma alanında tespit edilen taksonların fitocoğrafik bölgelere göre dağılımları; İran-Turan elementi 49 (%64), Avrupa-Sibirya elementi 1 (%1), Akdeniz elementi 2 (%3) ve çok bölgeli veya fitocoğrafik bölgesi bilinmeyenler 24 (%32) olarak tespit edilmiştir. Alanda en fazla taksona sahip familyalar sırasıyla; Amaryllidaceae (20), Asparagaceae (18), Liliaceae (13), Iridaceae (9) ve Colchicaceae (7)’dir. En çok takson içeren cinsler ise sırasıyla; Allium (19), Ornithogalum (8), Colchicum (7), Fritillaria (5) ve Iris (5)’dir. Araştırma alanındaki geofitlerden 57’si (%75) soğanlı, 11’i (%14) kormlu, 6’sı (%8) yumrulu ve 2’si (%3) rizomlu’dur.

Aksaz wetland is located in Akliman district which is away from 10 km North of the city center of Sinop province. This study was performed between 2015 and 2017. 1274 plant samples were collected from the research area and all of them were identified. 444 specific and infraspecific taxa in 269 genera belonging to 71 families were determined. Among them one taxon belongs to Pteridophyts, two of them are Gymnosperms, and 441 out of 444 taxa are from Angiosperms. Additionally, the endemism ratio in the study area is 0.68% with three endemic species., Aksaz Sulak Alanı, Sinop şehir merkezinin yaklaşık 10 km batısında, Akliman olarak isimlendirilen mevkide yer almaktadır. 2015-2017 yılları arasında gerçekleştirilen bu çalışma ile Aksaz sulak alanının florasının tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla yapılan arazi çalışmaları sırasında toplam 1274 bitki örneği toplanmıştır. Alanda 71 familyaya ait 269 cins, tür ve türaltı düzeyde ise toplam 444 takson saptanmıştır. Bu taksonlardan 1 tanesi Pteridophyta, 2 tanesi Gymnospermae ve 441 tanesi de Angiospermae’e dahildir. Araştırma alanında yayılış gösteren 3 endemik bitki saptanmıştır ve endemizm oranı %0,68’dir.

Candida species can cause superficial and systemic disease and their biofilms have become an important problem for both hospital-acquired and device-associated infections. The efficacy of many antifungal agents are limited by their cytotoxicity and increasing rate of drug-resistant. In last years, the antimicrobial and antibiofilm activity of some natural products such as essential oils have drawn attention. Carvacrol [2-methyl-5-(1-methylethyl)phenol] is one of the phenolic components of thyme and have strong antimicrobial activity. Thus far, limited reports have discussed the antimicrobial effects of carvacrol on clinical Candida strains. In our study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of carvacrol on clinical Candida isolates by microbiological and transmission electronmicroscopic methods and to investigate the effects of carvacrol on the fungal cell wall by immunoelectron microscopic method using the hyphal wall protein Hwp1 protein. In this study, 24 clinical isolates and 1 reference strain (C. albicans ATCC 14053) were used. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of carvacrol was determined using the broth microdilution method. MIC results showed a MIC ⩽ 0.031% (vol/vol) for all isolates tested. For transmission electron microscopic studies, isolates were also exposured to the carvacrol at concentration of 1⁄2 MIC for 48 hours and results were compared with the control. According to our results, carvacrol showed high antifungal potential with very low MIC values on Candida isolates. Electron microscopically, no growth was observed at the MIC value and the higher concentrations; cellular damage was also determined at sub MIC concentrations. It has been shown that carvacrol causes irreversible damage to cells. We observed that carvacrol did not increase cell growth or hyphal growth at all studied concentrations. The immunogold labeling results were used to observe the effect of carvacrol on the cell wall. Although immune labeling was greatly reduced in carvacrol treated cells, the presence of Hwp1 protein was also observed in the scattered cytoplasm. Usage of carvacrol in the topical treatment of Candida infections with further study it was determined that a potentially promising drug and detailed studies on the subject are needed., Candida türleri yüzeyel ve sistemik hastalığa sebep olurlar. Candida biyofilmleri de hastane kaynaklı ve vücut içi araçlarla ilişkili enfeksiyonlar için önemli bir sorundur. Birçok antifungal ajanın etkinliği, sitotoksisitesi ve ilaca karşı artan direnç oranı nedeniyle sınırlıdır. Son yıllarda uçucu yağlar gibi bazı doğal ürünlerin antimikrobiyal ve antibiofilm etkinliği dikkat çekticidir. Karvakrol [2-metil-5-(1-metiletil) fenol], kekikteki fenolik bileşenlerden biridir ve güçlü antimikrobiyal aktiviteye sahiptir. Şu ana kadar, klinik Candida suşlarında karvakrolün antimikrobiyal etkilerini tartışan sınırlı sayıda çalışma vardır. Çalışmamızda, karvakrolün klinik Candida izolatları üzerindeki etkilerini mikrobiyolojik ve geçirimli elektron mikroskobu yöntemleri ile araştırmak ve karvakrolün fungal hücre duvarı üzerindeki etkilerinin hifal duvar proteini olan Hwp1 proteini kullanılarak immünoelektron mikroskobik yöntemle araştırılması hedeflenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, 24 klinik izolat ve 1 referans (C. albicans ATCC 14053) kullanılmıştır. Karvakrolun minimum inhibisyon konsantrasyonu (MİK), broth mikrodilüsyon yöntemi kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. MİK sonuçları, test edilen tüm izolatlar için MİK ≤% 0.031 (hacim / hacim) göstermiştir. Geçirimli elektron mikroskobu çalışmaları için izolatlar ½ MİK konsantrasyonunda 48 saat boyunca karvakrole maruz bırakılmış ve sonuçlar kontrol ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Bulgularımıza göre, karvakrol, Candida izolatlarında çok düşük MİK değerleri ile yüksek antifungal potansiyel göstermiştir. Elektron mikroskobik olarak, MİK değerinde ve yüksek konsantrasyonlarda herhangi bir büyüme gözlenmemiştir; Hücresel hasar, alt MİK konsantrasyonlarında da belirlen miştir. Karvakrolün hücrelere geri dönüşümsüz bir hasar verdiği gösterilmiştir. Bulgularımıza göre, karvakrolün çalışılan tüm konsantrasyonlarda hücre büyümesini ya da hifal büyümeyi artırıcı etkisi olmadığını gözlemlenmiştir. İmmünogold etiketleme sonuçları, karvakrolün hücre duvarındaki etkisini gözlemlemek için kullanılmış; Karvakrol uygulanan hücrelerde immun etiketleme çok azalmış olmasına rağmen dağılmış stoplazma içerisinde de yer yer Hwp1 proteinin varlığı gözlemlenmiştir. Gelecekteki çalışmalar için Candida infeksiyonlarının topikal tedavisinde karvakrolün umut verici bir ilaç potansiyeli bulunmakta ve konu ile ilgili detaylı çalışmalara gereksinim duyulmaktadır.

Çalışmada, Çorum ili otsu bitkiler üzerinde veya alanlarında yayılış gösteren örümcek populasyonları araştırılmıştır. Örnekler 2015 ve 2018 yılları arasında tek yıllık veya çok yıllık bitkiler (özellikle Astaracea) üzerinden atrap ile süpürülerek toplanmıştır. Ayrıca zemindeki aktif örnekler de elle ve aspiratör ile yakalanmıştır. Örümceklerin teşhisleri sonucunda 16 familya, 28 cins ve 36 tür tespit edilmiştir. One of the most controversial issues in Turkey about the occurrence of the exotic fish species belonging to the family Cichlidae. Up to date, starting the 1970’s a total of seven species including Coptodon rendalli, C. zillii, Oreochromis aureus, O. mossambicus, O. niloticus, Sarotherodon galilaeus and Tristramella simonis introduced to Turkey for aquaculture purposes or accidently. Then these species have deliberately released or escaped from research and aquaculture facilities establishing themselves into natural environment of Turkey. In other cases, tilapia have been introduced into new aquatic habitats via aquarists or ornamental fish farmers. There was not any reliable record about establishment of O. mossambicus, S. galilaeus and T. simonis in Turkey. It is observed that now C. rendalli, C. zillii, O. aureus, and O. niloticus and/or hybrids of them exist in the wild water system of Turkey. Another problematic issue is that species identification of specimens found in nature is impossible due to the fact that hybridization of different species of Cichlidae. By the way, the range of the species belonging to the family Cichlidae in Turkey is determined that a need for detailed genetic studies to assess the current status., Türkiye’de egzotik balıklarla ilgili en tartışmalı konuların başında Cichlidae familyasına mensup tilapya türlerin durumları gelmektedir. Yetiştiricilik amaçlı olarak kullanılmak üzere 1970’li yıllardan başlayarak Coptodon rendalli, C. zillii, Oreochromis aureus, O. mossambicus, O. niloticus, Sarotherodon galilaeus ve Tristramella simonis olmak üzere yedi farklı tilapya türünün getirildiği rapor edilmektedir. Bu türler, araştırma merkezlerinden ve yetiştirme çiftliklerinden kaçan ve/veya kasıtlı olarak bırakılan bireyler vasıtasıyla Türkiye balık faunasına dahil olmuşlardır. Ancak güncel olarak kaç türün doğada varlıklarını sürdürdükleri konusunda bir karmaşa söz konusudur. Oreochromis mossambicus, S. galilaeus ve T. simonis türlerinin doğal ortamlarda bulunduğuna dair doğrulanmış kayıtlar bulunmamaktadır. Türkiye’nin doğal su sistemlerinde C. rendalli, C. zillii, O. aureus ve O. niloticus türleri veya bunların melezlerinin bulunduğu belirlenmiştir. Tilapya türleri arasında verimli melez bireyler oluşturulması nedeniyle doğada rastlanan bireylerin tür tayinlerinin yapılamadığı görülmüştür. Bu nedenle Türkiye’de dağılım gösteren Cichlidae familyasına mensup tilapya türlerinin mevcut durumlarının belirlenebilmesi için detaylı genetik çalışmalara ihtiyaç duyulduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

Bu çalışmada, Ankara Üniversitesi 10. Yıl (Beşevler) yerleşkesinin tohumlu bitki çeşitliliği belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda yerleşke içerisinde 79 farklı familyadan, 281 cinse ait tür ve tür altı düzeyde toplam 445 takson tespit edilmiştir. Gymnospermae alt şubesinde 5 familyadan 14 cinse ait toplam 31 takson tespit edilmiştir. Angiospermae alt şubesi Monokotil gruba ait 10 familyadan 57 takson, Ödikotil gruba ait 63 familyadan toplam 356 takson ve Ödikotil olmayan bazal gruba ait 1 familyadan (Nynphaceae) 1 takson tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen 445 taksondan sadece 8 tanesi endemik olup endemizm oranı ise % 1,8’dir. Ayrıca, yerleşke içerisinde belirlenen taksonlardan 151’i odunlu (ağaç, ağaççık veya çalı), geriye kalan 294 takson ise tek veya çok yıllık otsu bitkilerdir., In this study, it was aimed to determine the seed plant diversity of Ankara University 10. Yıl (Beşevler) Campus. As a result of the study, a total of 445 taxa belonging to 281 genera from 79 different families were determined. From Gymnospermae subdivision, 31 taxa belong to 14 genera of 5 families was determined. From Angiospermae subdivision, 57 taxa from 10 families belong to Monocotyl group, 356 taxa from 63 families belong to Eudicot groups, and 1 taxa from 1 family (Nynphaceae) Non-Eudicot basal group was determined. The eight of the determined 445 taxa are endemic for Turkey with the ratio of 1.8%. In addition, 151 of the taxa in the campus area are woody (trees or shrubs) and the remaining 294 taxa are annual or perennial herbaceous plants.

Bu çalışmada İkramiye vadisi (Sapanca/Sakarya) ve çevresinin floristik özellikleri araştırılmıştır. Yapılan arazi çalışmaları sonucunda, araştırma alanında 79 familyaya ait 257 cins, 434 tür ve tür altı seviyede takson belirlenmiştir. Bu taksonlardan 5’i Pteridophyta bölümüne, 429’u Spermatophyta bölümüne aittir. Spermatophyta bölümüne ait olan taksonlardan 5’i Gymnospermae, 424’ü Angiospermae alt bölümündedir. Florayı oluşturan taksonların fitocoğrafik bölgelere göre dağılımı şöyledir; 110 takson Avrupa-Sibirya, 51 takson Akdeniz, 14 takson İran-Turan fitocoğrafik bölgesine aittir, fitaocoğrafik bölgesi bilinmeyen takson sayısı 259’tır. Bölgede bulunan taksonların hayat formlarına göre dağılımları ise şöyledir; 52’si Fanerofit, 36’sı Kamefit, 172’si Hemikriptofit, 56’sı Kriptofit, 121’i Terofit ve 1 tanesi Vasküler parazittir. Araştırma alanındaki endemik takson sayısı 11 olup endemizm oranı %2,53’tür. Araştırma alanında tespit edilen 29 takson A3 karesi için yeni kayıttır., In this study, İkramiye Valley’s and its surrounding’s floristical features were investigated. As a result of field studies, 434 taxa belong to 257 genera and 79 families, were identified in the research area. Of these 5 taxa are reserved in the Pteridophyta section and 429 are in the Spermatophyta section. 5 taxa belong to the Spermatophyta section are included in the Gymnospermae and 424 taxa are in the Angiospermae section. The distribution of the taxa, according to phytogeographic region, are as follows; 110 taxa belong to Euro-Siberian; 51 taxa Mediterranean; 14 taxa Iran-Turanian phytogeographic region and 259 taxa are not known which phytogeographic region they belong. According to the life forms; 52 taxa belong to Phanerophytes, 36 Chamaephytes, 172 Hemicryptophytes, 56 Cryptophytes, 121 Therophytes, 1 Vascular parasites. The number of endemic taxon is 11 and the endemism rate is % 2.53. 29 taxa are new record for the A3 square in the research area.

In this study, the genus Veronica L. (Plantaginaceae) from the Plantaginacae family V. bozakmanii M.A.Fisch., V. triphyllos L., V. persica Poir., V.triloba Opiz., V. anagallis-aquatica L., V. oxycarpa Boiss., V. cinerea Boiss. & Balansa., V. macrostachya Vahl. subsp. mardinensis (Bornm.) M. A. Fisch., V. orientalis L. subsp. orientalis, V. orientalis L. subsp. nimrodi (Richt. ex Stapf) M.A. Fisch taxa were investigated in terms of palynological features. The specimens of this taxa were collected during the field surveys were investigated using Light Microscope (LM) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). As a result of this study some common traits of the taxa found out such as polen tectate, the pollen shapes being subprolate, prolate and the symmetry being heteropolar. Also, the type of the aperture is tricolpate. The SEM microphotographs shows that the ornamentations are reticulate, scabrate-perforate and striate-microreticulate., Bu çalışmada Plantaginacae familyasından Veronica L. Fisch., V. triphyllos L., V. persica Poir., V.triloba Opiz., V. anagallis-aquatica L., V. oxycarpa Boiss., V.cinerea Boiss. & Balansa, V. macrostachya Vahl. subsp. mardinensis (Bornm.) M. A. Fisch., V. orientalis L. subsp. orientalis, V. orientalis L. subsp. nimrodi (Richt. ex Stapf) M. A. Fisch. taksonlarının palinolojik özellikleri açısından incelenmiştir. Bu taksonlara ait örnekler yapılan arazi çalışmalarında toplanmıştır. Bu cinse ait taksonlar LM ve SEM kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Bu çalışma sonucunda polen tektat, polen şekillerinin subprolat prolat olması ve simetrinin heteropolar olması gibi bazı özellikler bulunmuştur. Ayrıca apertür gibi trikolpat SEM mikrofotoğrafları da ormentasyon yapılarının retikulat, skabrat-perforat ve striat-mikroretikulat olduğunu göstermiştir.

Bu çalışmada salep ve salep içeren ürünler gıda ve eczacılık açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Bu amaçla, salepin elde edildiği cins ve türler belirlenmiş, bu türlerin ülkemizdeki yetişme durumu incelenmiş ve salepin farmakolojik özellikleri kaynak verileriyle derlenmiştir. Salep üzerinde yapılan klinik çalışmalar, kronik kabızlık ve obezite tedavisinde etkili olduğunu göstermiştir. Çalışmamızın deneysel kısmında, Ankara piyasasında bulunan 11 farklı salep örneği satın alınıp, organoleptik ve anatomik olarak incelenmiştir. Bu numunelerin anatomik özellikleri doğadan topladığımız Orchis anatolica yumrularının karakteristik elemanları ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Doğal salep örneklerinde rafit, karakteristik bir anatomik özelliktir. Mikroskobik çalışma sonucu elde edilen bulgularımıza göre, piyasada bulunan salep numunelerine nişasta, karboksimetilselüloz (CMC), metilselüloz (MC) gibi maddelerin katıldığı görülmüştür., In this study, Salep and Salep products were evaluated in terms of food and pharmacy. For this purpose, investigated which plants are used as salep, the growth status of these plants in our country was examined and the pharmacological properties of salep were compiled with source data. Clinical studies on salep have shown that they are effective in the treatment of chronic constipation and obesity. In the experimental part of our study, 11 different salep samples in the market in Ankara were purchased, and examined organoleptic and anatomically. The anatomical properties of these samples were compared with the characteristic elements of the Orchis anatolica tubers collected from nature. Raphides are a characteristic anatomical features for natural salep samples. According to our results obtained from the microscopic study, it was observed that substances such as starch, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), methylcellulose (MC) were added to the salep samples on the market.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, 2000-2012 yılları arasında Siirt peyzajında meydana gelen parçalanmanın, endemik bitkiler üzerindeki etkisini araştırmaktır. Yöntemsel olarak, 2000-2012 yıllarına ait CORINE arazi örtüsü/arazi kullanımı verisi kullanılarak leke sınıfları üretilmiştir. Bu leke sınıfları için Patch Analyst programında yer alan ve FRAGSTATS arayüzüyle çalışan PatchGrid eklentisi kullanılarak peyzaj metrikleri hesaplanmıştır. Siirt peyzajında yer alan endemik bitkilere ait bilgiler derlenerek sayısal ortama aktarılmıştır. Ek olarak, Siirt peyzajında yer alan endemik bitki türlerinin IUCN kırmızı liste sınıfları da değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre, belirtilen yıllar arasında Siirt peyzajındaki en parçalı leke sınıfları 2012 yılında kıyı peyzajı ve üzüm bağları olmuştur. Her iki leke sınıfı için MPS, NumP ve CA değerleri 100% düşüş göstermiştir. Diğer yandan aynı yıllar arasında meyve bahçeleri, seyrek bitki alanları, sulanmayan ekilebilir alan ve doğal çayırlıklar daha büyük lekelere dönüşmüştür. Endemik türler ile leke sınıfları arasındaki ilişkiye bakıldığında, türlerin bulunduğu leke sınıflarının 48%’i değişime uğramıştır., In this study we aim to investigate the effect of fragmentation on the endemic plant species in the Siirt landscape between 2000 and 2012. Patch classes were systematically generated using CORINE land cover/land use data from 2000 to 2012. Landscape metrics were calculated using the PatchGrid plug-in that is included in the Patch Analyst programme, which works on FRAGSTATS interface. Furthermore, IUCN red list classes of endemic plant species in this landscape were evaluated. Thus, the most fragmented patch classes were coastal landscape and vineyards in 2012. MPS, NumP, and CA values for both these patch classes showed a 100% decrease. On the other hand, fruit trees and berry plantations, sparsely vegetated areas, non-irrigated arable land and natural grasslands turned into larger patches during the same period. When the relationship between endemic species and patch classes was investigated, 48% of the patch classes in which these species were found changed.

Glifosat (N-fosfonometilglisin), kararlı karbon-fosfat (C-P) bağlı, sentetik ve seçici olmayan bir herbisittir. Topraktaki glifosat kalıntılarının çevre ve insan sağlığına zararlı etkileri olduğu bilinmekle birlikte, herbisitleri besin olarak kullanıp parçalanmasını sağlayan toprak bakterilerinden bu zararlı etkileri azaltmak için yararlanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam Üniversitesi’ne ait, glifosat ile muamele edilmiş tarım arazisinden izole edilen bakterilerin tanımlanması ve bu herbisiti degrade etme potansiyellerinin belirlenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu amaçla kullanılacak bakteri kolonileri seri seçilimlerle elde edilmiş ve gen bölgesi sekanslaması ve/veya proteine dayalı tanımlama yapan MALDI-TOF (Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption and Ionization Time-Of-Flight ) yöntemleri kullanılarak elde edilen bakterilerin tür tanımlanması yapılmıştır. Sonrasında, bu bakteriler 0.1g/L, 0.5g/L ve 1g/L glifosat dışında başka karbon kaynağı içermeyen besiyeri içerisinde yetiştirilmiş ve büyüme hızlarının belirlenmesi için 14. günde 600 nm’de absorbansları ölçülmüştür. Ayrıca, bakterilerin glifosat degradasyon yeteneklerinin belirlenmesi maksadıyla; besiyerlerinde kalan glifosat miktarları, aynı süre sonunda 570 nm’de absorbanslarının ölçülmesiyle belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar; izole edilen bakterilerin hiçbirinin glifosatı degrade edemediğini, glifosatın bazı bakterilerin büyümesini olumsuz yönde etkilediğini ve glifosat içeren ortamda büyüme miktarı en yüksek olan bakterilerin Klebsiella variicola ve Klebsiella pneumoniae olduğunu ortaya koymuştur.

Fas’ta diyabet, kentsel alanlarda daha yüksek olmak üzere, ülke genelinde kadın ve erkeklerin %6,6'sını etkilemektedir. Tıbbi bitkiler, diyabet tedavisinde Fas'ın yerel halkı tarafından yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Güneybatı Fas'ın Agadir Ida Outanane bölgesinde diyabet tedavisi için kullanılan bitki türlerini belirlemektir. Veriler yarı-yapılandırılmış ve yapılandırılmış görüşmelerle toplanmıştır. Şifalı bitkiler konusunda bilgili 400 köylü ile görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ile Uygunluk Seviyesi (US), Kullanım Değeri (KD) ve Nispi Atıf Sıklığı (NAS) analiz edilmiştir. Bu etnobotanik araştırma ile 14 familyaya ait 22 tür tespit edilmiştir. En çok temsil edilen Lamiaceae and Asteraceae familyalarıdır. Üç bitki türünden, Cladanthus mixtus (L.) Chevall, Pulicaria mauritanica Batt. ve Salvia aegyptiaca L. ilk kez diyabetin geleneksel tedavisinde bahsedilmiştir. En sık belirtilen bitki türleri Argania spinosa (L.) Skeels, Cistus creticus L., Globularia alypum L., Olea europaea L'dır. Bu araştırma, geleneksel tıbbın Agadir Ida Outanane Bölgesinde hala kullanılan, çok zengin bir miras oluşturduğunu göstermektedir. Toplanan veriler, çalışma sahasındaki tıbbi bitkilerin kullanımı üzerinde geleneksel bilginin korunmasına ve arşivlenmesine yardımcı olabilir. Ayrıca, gelecekte diyabete karşı yürütülecek farmasötik araştırmalar için potansiyel bitki türlerini bilmek önem arz etmektedir.

This article presents the anuran species in urbanized areas, diet overlaps between native and invasive alien anuran species, and its implications on conservation and ecological health in urban environment. Visual encounter technique following the road as a transect was done to determine the diversity of anurans, and stomach content extraction was employed to analyze its diet composition. Results revealed a very low anuran diversity (Shannon-Weiner; 1.165), which is dominated by invasive alien anuran species. Jackknife 1 species richness estimator indicated that 77-100% of the anuran species in the area were already detected which includes three invasive; Rhinella marina (Linnaeus, 1758), Kaloula pulchra Gray, 1831, Hoplobatrachus rugulosus (Wiegmann, 1834), and two natives; Polypedates leucomystax (Gravenhorst, 1829), Limnonectes leytensis (Boettger, 1893). Additionally, assessing the diet of 33 randomly selected anuran samples revealed that Formicidae dominated their food item. Invasive anurans also showed more diverse diet composition compared to native frogs, in which diet overlaps were observed. In conclusion, the study supports the idea that urbanization decreases anuran diversity and supports the dominance of invasive anurans which compete for food with their native and endemic counterparts. Additionally, it is important to manage invasive anurans that dominates urban ecosystem which might affect the native and endemic species in the area and possibly in nearby pristine environment.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Helichrysum armenium subsp. araxinum özütlerinin yağ asidi bileşimi, yağda çözünen vitaminleri, fenolik bileşikleri, radikal temizleme faaliyetleri, antioksidan aktivitesi ve metal şelatlama kapasitesini belirlemektir. Araştırmada palmitik asidin (C16:0) birincil yağ asidi olduğu ve (58,99±1,21%) yağda çözünen vitamin içerilerinin en düşük seviyede olduğunu belirlenmiştir. Stigmasterol ve β-sitosterol, sırasıyla 79,4 ± 1,17 ve 29,2 ± 0,87 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca mevcut çalışma, Helichrysum armenium subsp. araxinum’un en yüksek naringin içeriğine (1156,8 ± 3,57 µg / g) sahip olduğunu ayrıca yüksek miktarda vanilik asit (213,2 ± 2,32 µg / g), kafeik asit (151,6 ± 1,27 µg / g) ve ferulik asit (117,94 ± 1,26 µg / g) içeriğine sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Öte yandan, Helichrysum armenium subsp. araxinum, en yüksek DPPH (10 µl hariç), ABTS radikal temizleme aktivitesi ve 100 µl’de metal şelatlama kapasitesine sahiptir.

Pulvinuloid bir askomiset taksonu olan Pulvinula alba (Velen.) Svrček Türkiye’den ilk kez kaydedilmiştir. Bu Pulvinula Fr. cinsinin Türkiye’deki altıncı üyesidir. Yeni kayıt taksonun kısa bir betimlemesi, makro ve mikromorfolojilerine ait fotoğrafları ve cinsin Türkiye’de mevcut türlerine ait bir sinoptik anahtar verilmiştir., The pulvinuloid ascomycete taxa, Pulvinula alba (Velen.) Svrček, is reported for the first time from Turkey. It is the sixth member of the genus Pulvinula Fr. in Turkey. Short description of the newly recorded species, photographs related to its macro and micromorphologies, and a synoptic key to the existing species of the genus in Turkey were provided.

Vincetoxicum cardiostephanum (Rech. F.) Rech. f. is a sub-endemic narrow species to Pakistan. The conservation status has been assessed according to International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List Categories and Criteria 2001. The genus Vincetoxicum is comprised of 20 species. Pakistan hosting 6 species including Vincetoxicum which is uniregional endemic to Upper Kurram, Pakistan. Earlier it was reported from Khaiwas by Aitchison (1881), Upper Kurram. This investigation was based on field trips conducted all over the Koh-e-Safaid ranges of Kurram valley, during April, 2015 to 2017. Based on the data collection, population size of the species was 43 individuals, Extent of occurrence (3.1 km2), Area of occupancy (0.9 km2). The taxon is under severe biotic stress due to uprooting & overgrazing. Vincetoxicum cardiostephanum has been classified as Critical Endangered following IUCN Criteria 2001.

Yaban hayvanları doğal yaşam ortamlarının farklı sebeplerden dolayı tahrip olması ile karşı karşıyadır. Bu tahribatların önemli sebeplerinden biri de karayollarıdır. Karayolları yaban hayvanlarının yaşam alanlarında habitat parçalanmalarına sebep oldukları gibi, yaban hayvanı araç çarpışmaları nedeni ile ölümlere de sebep olmaktadır. Mayıs 2014 ile Mayıs 2018 tarihleri arasında Kırıkkale-Çankırı karayolu üzerinde yaban hayvanları ile araç çarpışmalarını incelediğimiz bu çalışmada 9 türden 389 adet memeli yaban hayvanı kazası kaydedilmiştir. Çalışmada kirpi 182, tilki 136, sansar 44, yaban domuzu 12, kurt 6, tavşan 5, porsuk 2, arap tavşanı ve gelincik ise 1 adet olarak kazalara karışmıştır. Çalışma alanında 4 adedi yaban domuzu ve 6 adedi ise karaca figürlü olan toplam 10 adet yaban hayvanı uyarı levhası olduğu ve bu uyarı levhalarının kazaların 52 adedinin meydana geldiği noktalara yerleştirildiği ve tüm kazaların %13,5’i kadarına etkili olduğu görülmüştür. Sonuç olarak Kırıkkale-Çankırı karayolunda bulunan yaban hayvanı uyarı levhalarının gerek konum gerekse de sayı olarak yeterli olmadığı belirlenmiştir., Wild animals face the destruction of their natural habitats for different reasons. One of the most important reasons for this destruction is the highways. Highways not only cause habitat fragmentation in the habitats of wild animals, but also cause deaths due to vehicle collisions. Between May 2014 and May 2018, in this study we examined collisions with wild animals on the Kırıkkale-Çankırı highway and 389 mammalian wildlife accidents of 9 species were recorded. In this study, hedgehog 182, fox 136, marten 44, wild boar 12, wolf 6, rabbit 5, badger 2, arabic rabbit and weasel 1 pieces were determined. In the study area, 4 wild boars and 6 deer-shaped wild animal warning signs were found and these warning signs occurred in 52 of the accidents and were effective up to 13.5% of all geese. As a result, it was determined that the wild animal warning signs on Kırıkkale-Çankırı highway were not sufficient both in terms of location and number.

Five important world bird lists were analyzed and compared. Since the Boyd et al. and Cornell University world bird counts are identical to Clement's et al. values, the first two are not evaluated here. The analysis of HBW's world bird count has in the highest values, showing 6,648 for Passeres (P) and 4,487 for Nonpasseres (NP), totaling 11,135. The world bird count values according to Gill et. al. totals 10,714 (i.e., P 6,380 and for NP 4,334) whereas Clements's et al. states total of 10,930(for P 6,518 and for NP 4,412). It was also found that in the NP some bird families, (such as Sarothruridae, Bucorvidae and Psittaculidae) are not listed HBW's World Bird List, while they are listed both in Clement's and Gill's World Bird List. The families Cettiidae, Erythrocercidae, and Hyliidae (in P), are given in Gill's World Bird List, but not in Clement's and HBW's. The families Tichodromidae and Icteriidae are not included in HBW's World Bird List, but are included in the others. The family Platylophidae is not included in Gill's World Bird List, but is included in the others. The family Oxyruncidae is included in HBW's World Bird List, but not in the others. The family Sylvidae has been split into two families namely, in Gill's List, Sylvidae and Paradoxornithidae, in Gill’s World Bird List. The family Paradoxornithidae is not listed both in Clement's or and in HBW's. The family Pellorneidae was listed in Gill's World Bird List as two families (i.e.,Pellorneidae and Alcippeidae).

Zengin bir biyoçeşitliliğe sahip olan Türkiye’de, fungal biyoçeşitlilik de oldukça yüksektir. Türkiye’de mikoloji alanında yapılan çalışmalar ile binlerce fungus türü tanımlanmış ve yayınlanmıştır. Moleküler metodların yaygınlaşması ile birlikte daha fazla fungus kaydı verilmeye başlanmıştır. 2020 yılında yayınlanan “Türkiye Mantarları Listesi” kitabında, yayınlandığı yıla kadar Türkiye’den verilen fungal kayıtlar, ilk defa tüm taksonları kapsamış olarak ve her taksona Türkçe isimler verilerek yer almıştır. Bu kitabın yayınlanmasından sonra da Türkiye için yeni kayıt olan fungal taksonlar yayınlanmaya devam etmiştir. Bu makale, fungal listenin güncellenmesi ve yeni kayıt taksonlara Türkçe isimler verilmesi amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Çalışmamızda, “Türkiye Mantarları Listesi” kitabında uygulanan metotlar büyük oranda takip edilmiş olup, ilk defa Türkçe ad verilen taksonlar * sembolü ile gösterilmiştir.

Bu çalışmada, halofitik endemik Scorzonera hieraciifolia (Asteraceae)’nın morfolojisi, küresel ölçekteki tehtit seviyesi ve taksonomik durumu yeni veriler ışığında ele alınmıştır. Türün doğal yayılış gösterdiği alanlardan yeni toplanan ve ulusal/uluslararası herbaryumlarda saklanan örnekler üzerinden yapılan detaylı incelemeler S. hieraciifolia taksonunun kısa kıvrık tüylü (crisped) gövde tabanı; basit (lanseolat, ovat veya eliptik) veya birleşik (pinnat derin linear parçalı) yaprak ayası; ovat ve ucu boynuzsu uzantılı dış fillarileri (corniculate); tüysüz veya seyrek uzun kıvrık yünsü tüylü (lanate), 4-6 mm uzunlukta, siğilli (verrucose) yüzey süslemeli ve saplı (stipitate) akenleri ile karakterize olduğunu göstermiştir. Türün halihazırda tuzlu bataklık ve bozkır alanlarda tespit edilen popülasyonlarının (10 farklı alan) güçlü olduğu ancak küresel iklim değişimleri etkisiyle tuzcul alanlarda oluşabilecek değişimlerden etkilenebileceği öngörülerek küresel ölçekte tehdite yakın (NT) kategorisinde değerlendirilmiştir. Gerek literatür gerekse TÜBİTAK tarafından desteklenen proje kapsamında elde edilen güncel veriler değerlendirilerek türün yayılış alanları ortaya konulmuştur. Son olarak S. hieraciifolia yakın (akraba) türler ile morfolojik ve korolojik açısından karşılaştırılarak taksonomik durumu netleştirilmiştir., In this study, the morphology, global threat level and taxonomic status of the halophytic endemic Scorzonera hieraciifolia (Asteraceae) was investigated of new data. Detailed examinations on newly collected samples from the natural areas of the species and the specimens kept in national/international herbaria indicated that S. hieraciifolia is characterized by crisped hairs at the stem base; simple (lanceolate, ovate or elliptical) or compound (pinnate with deeply linear segments) leaves, ovate and corniculate outer phyllaries; glabrous or lanate, 4-6 mm length, verrucose and stipitate achenes. The populations of the species currently detected in salt marsh and steppe areas (10 different areas) are appraised strong, however considering that it could be affected by changes that may occur in saline areas due to global climate changes. It has evaluated in near threatened (NT) category in a global scale. The distribution areas of the species were revealed by evaluating both the literature and current data obtained within the scope of the project supported by TUBITAK. Finally, the taxonomic status of S. hieraciifolia has been clarified by comparing with close (relative) species in terms of morphology and chorology.

Bu çalışmada, Rhizopogon pumilionum (Ade) Bataille Türkiye’den ilk defa kaydedilmiştir. Yeni kayıt tanımlanmış ve fotoğrafları verilmiştir. rDNA ITS verilerinden yararlanılarak yeni kayıt kanıtlanmıştır. Ayrıca, R. pumilionum’un filogenetik konumu, rDNA ITS dizilerinden yararlanılarak oluşturulan filogenetik ağaçta tespit edilmiştir., In this study, Rhizopogon pumilionum (Ade) Bataille is recorded from Turkey for the first time. The new record is described and illustrated. New record was proved by utilizing from its rDNA ITS data. Also, phylogenetic position of R. pumilionum was detected in the phylogenetic tree constructed using the sequences of rDNA ITS.

Cactus pear plant (Opuntia ficus-indica (L.) Mill.) is a type of cactus with a high tolerance to heat and drought due to the geographical and climatic conditions in which it grows. The fruits and decaying cladodes of the cactus pear plant provide a suitable environment for yeasts and other microorganisms to grow. Yeast cells accumulate trehalose and glycogen as a stress metabolite under stress conditions. Our study, it was aimed to isolate stress-tolerant yeast species from cactus pear fruit and identify them with molecular methods, and determine their storage carbohydrate accumulations. Sequence analysis of the 26S rDNA-D1/D2 gene region was used for molecular identification of thermotolerant and osmotolerant yeast strains. Trehalose and glycogen accumulations of stress-tolerant yeast strains were determined enzymatically under stress conditions. All isolated strains belonging to K. marxianus, K. lactis and P. kudriavzevii yeast species were determined as thermotolerant and osmotolerant. It was determined that K. marxianus and K. lactis yeast species preferred glycogen as a stress metabolite while P. kudriavzevii yeast species accumulated trehalose. Stress tolerance and the type and amount of reserve carbohydrate were found to be various among the other isolated yeast strains of A. pullulans, H. opuntiae and P. kluyveri depending on the degree and type of stress. It has been evaluated that the isolated K. marxianus and K. lactis yeast strains have the potential to be used in the dairy industry, while the P. kudriavzevii yeast strains are suitable for use in the bioethanol and fermentation industry., Kaktüs armut bitkisi (Opuntia ficus-indica (L.) Mill.) yetiştiği coğrafya ve iklim koşulları nedeniyle sıcaklığa ve kuraklığa toleransı oldukça yüksek olan bir kaktüs türüdür. Bu kaktüs türünün bozulmaya başlayan kladotları ve meyveleri mayaların ve diğer mikroorganizmaların çoğalabilmesi için uygun alan oluşturmaktadır. Maya hücreleri stres koşullarında stres metaboliti olarak trehaloz ve glikojen biriktirir. Çalışmamızda kaktüs armut meyvesinden stres dirençli maya türlerinin izole edilerek moleküler yöntemlerle tanımlanması ve depo karbonhidrat birikimlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Termotolerant ve osmotolerant maya suşlarının moleküler tanımlanmasında 26S rDNA-D1/D2 gen bölgesinin dizi analizi kullanıldı. Stres dirençli maya suşlarının trehaloz ve glikojen birikimleri stres koşullarında enzimatik olarak belirlendi. İzole edilen K. marxianus, K. lactis ve P. kudriavzevii maya türlerine ait tüm maya suşlarının termotolerant ve osmotolerant maya suşları olduğu gözlendi. K. marxianus ve K. lactis maya türünde stres metaboliti olarak glikojenin P. kudriavzevii maya türünde ise trehalozun tercih edildiği belirlendi. Diğer izole edilen A. pullulans, H. opuntiae ve P. kluyveri türlerine ait maya suşları arasında stres toleransının ve depo karbonhidratın stresin derecesine ve çeşidine bağlı olarak değiştiği tespit edildi. İzole edilen K. marxianus ve K. lactis maya suşlarının süt ürünleri endüstrisinde, P. kudriavzevii maya suşlarının ise biyoetanol ve fermentasyon endüstrisinde kullanımı için uygun potansiyele sahip oldukları değerlendirildi.

The greatest negative impact on natural wealth is human-induced. Due to the rapid increase in the population of Antalya in recent years, the city needed new buildings, new roads and new living spaces. For this reason, the existing green areas in the city have been lost or stuck. In the study, the determination of green areas under anthropological influence such as settlement and human pressure in the central districts of Antalya, parcel measurements and determination of basic floristic features were investigated. As a result of the research, a total of 31 important areas affected by anthropological activities were identified, 4 in Aksu, 5 in Döşemealtı, 6 in Kepez, 9 in Konyaaltı and 7 in Muratpaşa, which are the central districts of Antalya. According to the ratio of the areas covered by these regions, which are determined in the central districts of Antalya, to the district area, Muratpaşa district comes first with 16.69%. This is followed by Döşemealtı with 13.36%, Kepez with 10.03%, Aksu with 7.73% and Konyaaltı with 1.58%. The reason for the high percentage of area in Muratpaşa district is the Falezler and Lara coasts in the district. In order to leave a more livable and green world to future generations, the identified areas must be protected and maintained. Such areas are important sink areas for Antalya, which is under the pressure of urbanization. These areas also have Floristic, Ecological, Sociological and Landscape values., Doğal zenginlikler üzerine en büyük olumsuz etki insan kaynaklıdır. Antalya’nın nüfusunun son yıllarda büyük bir hızla artması nedeniyle şehirde yeni binalara, yeni yollara ve yeni yaşam alanlarına ihtiyaç duyulmuştur. Bu nedenle şehirde var olan yeşil alanlar kaybolmuş ya da sıkışmışlardır. Çalışmada Antalya merkez ilçelerindeki yerleşim ve insan baskısı gibi antropolojik etki altındaki yeşil alanların tespiti, parsel ölçümleri ve temel floristik özelliklerinin tespiti araştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Antalya merkez ilçeleri olan Aksu’da 4, Döşemealtı’nda 5, Kepez’de 6, Konyaaltı’nda 9 ve Muratpaşa’da 7 olmak üzere antropolojik faaliyetten etkilenen toplam 31 önemli alan tespit edilmiştir. Antalya merkez ilçelerinde tespit edilen bu bölgelerin kapladıkları alanların ilçe alanına oranlarına göre ilk sırada Muratpaşa ilçesi %16,69 ile gelmektedir. Bunu sırasıyla Döşemealtı %13.36, Kepez %10.03, Aksu %7.73 ve Konyaaltı %1.58 ile takip etmektedir. Muratpaşa ilçesinde alan yüzdesinin fazla çıkmasının nedeni ilçede bulunan Falezler ve Lara sahilidir. Gelecek nesillere daha yaşanabilir ve yeşil bir dünya bırakmak adına tespit edilen alanların mutlaka korunması ve devamlılığının sağlanması gerekmektedir. Bu tür alanlar şehirleşme baskısı altındaki Antalya için önemli yutak alan olma özelliği göstermektedir. Söz konusu alanlar aynı zamanda Floristik, Ekolojik, Sosyolojik ve Peyzaj değerler taşımaktadır.

Bu çalışmada, kirleticilerden uzak bir kırsal alan olan Uludağ Kirazlıyayla'da belirlenen bölgeden likenlerle kaplı Abies sp. dalları, Bursa şehrinin merkez ilçesi Nilüfer'de, kirleticilere daha fazla maruz kalan bir bölgeye nakledildi. Epifitik liken türlerinin (Hypogymnia physodes (L.) Nyl., Parmelia sulcata Taylor ve Pseudevernia furfuracea (L.) Zopf) fotosentetik pigment içerikleri üçer aylık zaman aralığıyla ölçülmüş, bir yıllık pigment değişim oranları ve mevsimsel kirleticilere maruz kalma istatistiksel olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Klorofil bozulması H. physodes numunelerinde kontrole göre kış aylarında artmış, yaz aylarında ise azalmıştır. P. furfuracea örnekleri için kışın azaldı ve yazın arttı. P. sulcata'da, kontrol ve nakledilen numunelerde ölçülen değerler arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmadı. Klorofil bozulması, uzun transplantasyon süresi olan kontrol örneklerine kıyasla P. furfuracea için önemli ölçüde artar ve P. sulcata için azalır. Klorofil a miktarı, H. physodes ve P. sulcata için transplantasyon süresinin uzamasına bağlı olarak kontrol örneklerine göre önemli ölçüde azalırken, P. furfuracea'daki değişim önemli değildi. Klorofil b ve karotenoit içeriği, transplantasyon süresinin uzamasına bağlı olarak kontrol örneklerine kıyasla her üç liken türünde de önemli ölçüde azalmıştır., In this study, Abies sp. branches lined with lichens from the region determined in Uludag Kirazlıyayla, a rural area far from atmosferic pollutants, were placed in a region in Nilüfer, the central district of Bursa city, which is exposed to pollutants more by transplanting. Photosynthetic pigment content of epiphytic lichen species (Hypogymnia physodes (L.) Nyl., Parmelia sulcata Taylor and Pseudevernia furfuracea (L.) Zopf) was measured in three-months periods, and one-year pigment exchange rates and seasonal exposure to pollutants were statistically evaluated. Chlorophyll degradation increased in winter months and decreased in summer months for H. physodes samples compared to control. It decreased in winter and increased in summer for P. furfuracea specimens. In P. sulcata, no significant difference was found between the values measured in the control and transplanted samples. Chlorophyll degradation is significantly increased for P. furfuracea compared to control specimens with prolonged transplantation time and decreased for P. sulcata. The amount of chlorophyll a decreased significantly for H. physodes and P. sulcata compared to the control samples due to the prolongation of the transplantation period, while the change in P. furfuracea was not significant. Chlorophyll b and carotenoid content were significantly decreased in all three lichen species compared to the control samples due to the prolongation of the transplantation period.

International efforts on limitation of the Anthropogenic activities which based on the use of fossil fuels and reducing greenhouse gas emissions have intensified in recent years. In these efforts, the Paris Climate Agreement has become a new hope for the future of humanity and brought together developed and developing countries on the same common ground. In 2021, Turkey became a party by signing the Paris Climate Agreement. In this research, the obligations and responsibilities of Turkey in the Paris Climate Agreement are discussed. In the study, an evaluation was made using secondary data based on the literature. The Paris Climate Agreement has given states obligations on issues such as reducing CO2 emissions, limiting fossil fuel use, and protecting carbon sink areas. In this context, Turkey has stated that it will take measures to limit the use of fossil fuels, turn to renewable energy sources, reduce CO2 emissions until 2030, and set a "zero emission" target for 2053. The fact that Turkey is located in a fragile geography and is heavily affected by climate change significantly aggravates the risks posed by emission increases. Therefore, Turkey should prepare its own roadmap and take decisive actions on emission reduction and energy efficiency., Fosil yakıtların kullanımına dayalı Antropojen faaliyetlerin sınırlandırılması ve sera gazı salımlarının azaltılması konusunda yürütülen uluslararası çabalar son yıllarda gittikçe yoğunlaşmıştır. Bu çabalarda Paris İklim Anlaşması, insanlığın geleceği için yeni bir umut olmuş, gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkeleri aynı ortak paydada buluşturmuştur. 2021’de Türkiye, Paris İklim Anlaşmasını imzalayarak taraf olmuştur. Bu araştırmada, Paris İklim Anlaşmasında Türkiye’nin yükümlülük ve sorumlulukları tartışılmıştır. Çalışmada literatüre dayalı ikincil veriler kullanılarak bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Paris İklim Anlaşması CO2 salımının azaltılması, fosil yakıt kullanımının sınırlandırılması, karbon yutak alanlarının korunması gibi konularda devletlere yükümlülükler vermiştir. Türkiye de bu kapsamda 2030 yılına kadar fosil yakıt kullanımını sınırlama, yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarına yönelme, CO2 salımını azaltmaya yönelik önlemleri alacağını ve 2053 için “sıfır emisyon” hedefini belirlediğini bildirmiştir. Türkiye’nin kırılgan bir coğrafyada bulunması, iklim değişiminden fazlasıyla etkilenmesi emisyon artışlarının doğurduğu riskleri önemli ölçüde ağırlaştırmaktadır. Bu nedenle Türkiye, emisyon azaltımı ve enerji verimliği konularında kendine uygun yol haritası hazırlamalı ve kararlı adımlar atmalıdır.
