Background. The need to quickly replace foreign software imports has led to significant growth in the relatively new information technology and industrial automation market. Despite the fact that companies have been automating their activities for more than 20 years, many of them have used foreign software until recently, which in modern conditions entails possible serious threats to their activities. This is what caused the growth of the domestic industrial automation market, and the rapid growth of new technologies, especially in the field of automation, gives reason to call this market innovative. At the same time, as in most markets, the established interaction chains have collapsed and business processes have become more complex. This prompted companies operating in it to offer their own business automation solutions and rebuild these chains: find new business partners, develop new interaction mechanisms. To improve the efficiency of companies in the innovative industrial automation market, it is necessary to describe the system of interaction of industrial automation market participants, understand the place of a specific company in this system, and build its activities in accordance with the mechanisms and trends operating in the market. Materials and methods. For a deeper understanding of the nature of interaction of innovative industrial automation market participants, the study will use a systems approach that will help not only to describe the behavior of the participants in the system, but also to describe the relationships existing between them and explain the interrelations between them. In addition, a systems approach will allow classifying market participants based on a specific unit of analysis and considering interactions from these positions. Results. The main elements of the system of interaction of innovative industrial automation market participants are considered. The peculiarity of the product in the market is revealed. The types of developer companies in the market and the conditions in which they are forced to work are considered, including barriers and restrictions imposed by market customers. The features of interaction of industrial automation market participants are revealed. Conclusions. It is concluded that knowledge of the specifics of interaction between innovative industrial automation market participants will increase the efficiency of the developer company and will also help to form its distinctive market advantages that will allow the company to stand out from its competitors.

The paper deals with the caravanserais located on the Ustyurt plateau. During the period of the state of Ulug Ulus (Ulus of Jochi, Golden Horde), the priority caravan route became the road across the Ustyurt plateau, equipped with grandiose, well-fortifi ed complex of buildings where travelers (caravaners) could have a rest – caravanserais. Trade caravans from Urgench reached the city of Saraichyq, situated on the Jajyk River (Ural), and then went on to the capital of the Golden Horde, the city of Sarai-Batu on the Volga. Fortifi ed “hotels” – caravanserais – were tied to wells or artifi cially created storage facilities – water reservoirs for seasonal precipitation, located at a distance of one or two days of the caravan's journey. The main building, in the form of a small fortress, served as a hotel for merchants and wealthy travelers. There were small rooms, a kitchen, a dining room, possibly a bathhouse, as well as warehouses for keeping goods. Caravanserais also served as postal stations where messengers could change horses. A small military detachment stationed nearby was called upon to guard and control the trade route in this area. Near the caravanserais, small settlements arose for the personnel serving the caravans – drovers, guards and migrating population. To date, 10 caravanserais are identifi ed on the Ustyurt plateau – Uchkuduk, Azhikeldi, Beleuli, Kosbulak and Churuk, Kusshy ata, Koptam (Beldeuli) and near the Koskuduk spring (Esetbulak), also in the direction of the Caspian Sea are Uali and Manata. The caravanserais are stretched in a straight line from southeast to northwest. The distance between the extreme examined sites is about 270 km.

AbstractThe integration of health and activity data from various wearable devices into research studies presents technical and operational challenges. The Awesome Data Acquisition Method (ADAM) is a versatile, web-based system that was designed for integrating data from various sources and managing a large-scale multiphase research study. As a data collecting system, ADAM allows real-time data collection from wearable devices through the device’s application programmable interface and the mobile app’s adaptive real-time questionnaires. As a clinical trial management system, ADAM integrates clinical trial management processes and efficiently supports recruitment, screening, randomization, data tracking, data reporting, and data analysis during the entire research study process. We used a behavioral weight-loss intervention study (SMARTER trial) as a test case to evaluate the ADAM system. SMARTER was a randomized controlled trial that screened 1741 participants and enrolled 502 adults. As a result, the ADAM system was efficiently and successfully deployed to organize and manage the SMARTER trial. Moreover, with its versatile integration capability, the ADAM system made the necessary switch to fully remote assessments and tracking that are performed seamlessly and promptly when the COVID-19 pandemic ceased in-person contact. The remote-native features afforded by the ADAM system minimized the effects of the COVID-19 lockdown on the SMARTER trial. The success of SMARTER proved the comprehensiveness and efficiency of the ADAM system. Moreover, ADAM was designed to be generalizable and scalable to fit other studies with minimal editing, redevelopment, and customization. The ADAM system can benefit various behavioral interventions and different populations.

According to the International Labor Organization, at least 160 million children ages 5 to 17 around the world were involved in some form of child labor at the beginning of 2020, including 79 million children performing hazardous labor. This article uses recent representative data from Bangladesh and Pakistan to investigate the relationship between foundational skills and child labor engagements for 12- to 14-year-old children. It found a consistent negative association between child labor and reading and numeracy foundational skills. In particular, it found that engagement in hazardous child labor had large negative associations with reading and numeracy foundational skills. It also found negative associations between engagement in economic labor and reading foundational skills. Finally, the article found that intense engagement in household labor was also negatively associated with foundational skills. It discusses the implications of these findings which paint a deeply concerning picture of the challenges ahead of the global community to ensure that all children acquire foundational skills (and beyond). It notes that systematic efforts to define, document, and measure child labor will be crucial to better understand the negative implications of child labor for foundational learning and the potential policy solutions to address these impacts.

The relevance of this article lies in the need to construct a comprehensive history of the development of comedy in contemporary Kazakhstani literature, of which the works of Ermek Tursunov are an integral part. The author explores various approaches to the study of irony, satire, and humor, including philosophical (G. Hegel, F. Schlegel), cultural (A. Bergson, B. Dzemidok, M. M. Bakhtin, D. S. Likhachev, Y. Borev, A. M. Panchenko, N. V. Ponyrko, V. Ya. Karasev), and philological (V. Tyupa, V. Propp, M. Yu. Asanina, I. A. Obukhova, S. A. Dubrovskaya). The scientific novelty lies in the fact that Tursunov’s stories are analyzed for the first time in the declared aspect. The research has established that, firstly, irony becomes an important means of comedy in Tursunov’s collection of stories “Karashanyrak”. Secondly, non-direct speech ironically exposes the hero’s surrounding world (“How Kazakhs believed in omens”). Thirdly, there is an orientation towards Chekhov’s humorous tradition (“How Kazakhs received guests”, “How brides became wives”). Fourthly, the writer’s humor relies on national Kazakhstani traditions of comedy embodied in folklore (“How Kazakhs organized noisy performances”). Finally, one of the ways of constructing a comedic plot in Tursunov’s stories is through the synthesis of an anecdote with elements of satire. This study offers new insights into the role of comedy in contemporary Kazakhstani literature and contributes to the broader understanding of humor as a literary device.

Abstract One of the most extensive natural plague centers, or foci, is located in Central Asia, in particular, the Zhambyl region in Southern Kazakhstan. Here, we conducted plague surveillance from 2000 to 2020 in the Zhambyl region in Kazakhstan and confirmed 3,072 cases of infected wild animals. We used Species Distribution Modeling by employing MaxEnt, and identified that the natural plague foci are primarily located in the Moiynqum, Betpaqdala, and Tauqum Deserts. The Zhambyl region's central part, including the Moiynqum and Sarysu districts, has a high potential risk of plague outbreak for the rural towns and villages. Since the phenomenon of climate change has been identified as a determinant that affects the rodent populations, thereby elevating the likelihood of an outbreak of plague, we investigated the potential dissemination routes of the disease under the changing climate conditions, thus creating Species Distribution Forecasts for the rodent species in southern part of Kazakhstan for the year 2100. By 2100, in case of increasing temperatures, the range of host species is likely to expand, leading to a higher risk of plague outbreaks. The highest risk of disease transmission can be expected at the outer limits of the modeled total distribution range, where infection rates are high, but antibody presence is low, making many species susceptible to the pathogen. To mitigate the risk of a potential plague outbreak, it is necessary to implement appropriate sanitary‐epidemiological measures and climate mitigation policies.

The paper features the results of archaeological studies carried out on the periphery of Zhaiyk settlement. Reconnaissance and exploration work was carried out in 2013. Later, archaeological excavations were carried out based on the exploration materials. The main part of the work was carried out in an easterly direction from the main objects of the settlement. As it is known from the results of the study of previous years, most of the settlement was demolished during agricultural work and destroyed due to erosion of the coast. No remains of ground structures have been found in this part of the settlement. Exploration work has shown that in the eastern and northeastern parts of the settlement, the modern horizon contains many fragments of burnt bricks, metal, and ceramics. On the basis of the archaeological material obtained during the excavations and compared with the recovered materials, the settlement can be tentatively characterized as a single-layer monument and generally dated within the Golden Horde period.

Thinking is generally considered the broadest term as it includes reasoning and problem solving. Reasoning is the main subject because the ability to reason effectively is equally important to succeed in school and throughout life. It has been found out that only a few students can effectively use their knowledge in thinking and reasoning. Therefore, teachers need to place more emphasis on students' ability to analyze, classify, compare, formulate hypotheses, and draw conclusions, that is, the thinking skills required for reasoning processes. The aim of this lesson study is to find the best strategies that will help develop argumentation skills of students through reading. Literature related to the research theme was reviewed and qualitative research methodology was used in this study, namely lesson observation, interviewing and post-lesson discussions. The participants of the study were chosen by using purposeful sampling technique. The findings of this study demonstrated that applying reading strategies of activating background knowledge, making predictions, using four-statements strategy, and completing graphic organizers helped students to be inclined to read, learn more, and understand better. These strategies mixed with post-reading comprehension questions, helped students to recognize that they understand better and are able to apply the strategies outside the English classroom. As students learn to define and develop their reasoning skills, they become more effective and independent learners and better at using strategies.

Objective – to evaluate the features of clinical manifestations, course, outcomes and quality of life related to health in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus in the Republic of Kazakhstan.Patients and methods. The study included 102 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with a reliable diagnosis according to SLICC (2012). Disease activity was assessed by the SLEDAI 2K index, organ damage (IOD) by SLICC/ACR (2000). Statistical processing was carried out using SPSS 13 software (IBM Corp., USA). Variables with a parametric distribution are presented as М±SD, nonparametric – as a median (Me) [25th; 75th percentile].Results and discussion. The cohort was dominated by female patients (98%), Asians (83.33%), young patients (33.85±10.58 years) with a disease duration of 5 [2; 9] years with high (30.8%) and very high (39.2%) degree of activity (SLEDAI-2K – 17.64±8.80 points). The debut of the disease was in 18.6% of patients in adolescence, it was characterized by an unfavorable course. Clinical manifestations of the disease: skin lesions (acute active and chronic forms) (98%), joints (79.4%), non-scarring alopecia (75.5%), neuropsychiatric disorders (49%), mucous membranes (46.1%), hematological (54.9%) and immunological disorders (100%). IOD: low – in 20.6%, medium – in 59.8%, high – in 9.8% of patients, 0 – in 9.8%, Risk factors for poor outcome were in 93.1% of patients. Assessment of health-related quality of life (HRQOL) in SLE patients showed a significant decrease on all scales. Correction of the treatment program, taking into account the factors of adverse outcome (FRNI), consisted in strengthening therapy with the inclusion of genetically engineered biological drugs (GEBP).Conclusion. SLE is a socially significant disease in Kazakhstan with a high incidence rate (101%) over 10 years (2009–2018). The cohort of SLE patients is dominated by young people, females. The duration of the disease is up to 5 years with a delayed verification of the diagnosis of SLE. Organ damage is already in the onset of the disease and the presence of FRNI of the disease in 93.1% of patients, which indicates the severity of the course, which requires early diagnosis and active involvement of pathogenetic treatment, including GEBD.

The article presents the results of measuring the luminescence spectra, luminescence excitation spectra and luminescence spectra under high pressures for LaAlO3:Pr with concentration of 1%. The materials were synthesized by solid phase synthesis. Diffraction pattern is fully relates to LaAlO3 phase. The photoluminescence spectra show the main energy transitions. The change in the position of the main bands under the hydrostatic pressure of 23, 55, 160 and 191 kBar was demonstrated. The main band at 491 nm is slightly red-shifted, while the line at 605 nm is shifted to the high-energy part of the spectrum. The intensity of all bands increases with increasing hydrostatic pressure. The dynamics of changes in the intensities of maxima and emissions from different transitions are analyzed. Studies of luminescence under high hydrostatic compression are important in observing changes in the internal structure and electronic states of materials under the influence of high pressure, studying internal processes such as recombination of electrons and holes, transitions between energy levels and the release of photons. Understanding the changes that occur under compression can help researchers develop new materials with unique properties.

The CsPbI2Br perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) have great potential in photovoltaic applications due to their phase stability and optoelectronic properties. In this work, the synthesis technique of CsPbI2Br PQDs with the investigation of their properties and applications are identified. The critical issues and precautions for preparing PQDs are also discussed. It is also interesting to find that the collected supernatant solutions during the purification of PQDs can be recycled for preparing other types of PQDs. Meanwhile, this work demonstrates different approaches (i) thermal annealing, usage of (ii) methyl acetate and (iii) ethyl acetate as anti-solvents for preparing CsPbI2Br PQDs in the form of thin films on glass substrates. The obtained samples are characterized in terms of morphology, structural and optical properties. The results of this work can provide useful information for researchers, particularly for those who are starting to synthesize PQDs for fabrications of solid-state devices.

A series of Mn(I), Fe(II), and Co(II) complexes with PNH ligands bearing secondary amine functionality were prepared and tested in the catalytic transfer hydrogenation of nitriles using ammonia borane as a hydrogen source. Among all tested complexes, a tetracoordinate Fe(II) bromide, (PNH)FeBr2, proved the most effective, representing a rare example of a highly active iron-based catalytic system for transfer hydrogenation reactions beyond carbonyl compounds and the first example of the iron catalyst for the transfer hydrogenation of nitriles to the corresponding primary amines. Mechanistic studies point out a metal–ligand cooperative mechanism enabled by the secondary amine moiety of the PNH ligand. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: to study and analyze the dynamics of prevalence, demographic, social, and clinical manifestations of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in patients living in Kazakhstan.Materials and methods. Official materials of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2009–2018): statistical compendiums, a consolidated reporting form for medical treatment (N 12). 102 patients (100 women and 2 men) were included in the register of SLE with reliable SLE according to SLICC (ACR, 2012). Assessment of the debut of the disease was carried out according to archival material (medical history, outpatient records) of patients. The activity of the process was evaluated according to SLEDAI-2K, organ damage according to SLICC/ACR (2000).Results. The total number of patients with SLE over 10 years (2009–2018) more than doubled, the growth rate was 101%. The overwhelming majority of patients with SLE are women (91%). In the study group, Asians (83.33%) predominated by race, of which Kazakhs (76.47%) were young (mean age – 33.85±10.58 years), with a disease duration of 5 (2; 9) years, time from the appearance of the first signs to verification of SLE – 4.5 (3; 12) years. The prevailing acute (49.0%), subacute (33.3%), rather than chronic (18.7%) variants of the course, with high activity according to SLEDAI-2K – 17.64±8.80. The most common clinical manifestations of the disease: skin lesions (98%), joints (79.4%), nervous system (49%), hematological (54.9%) and immunological (100%) disorders. The absence of organ damage (0 points) was detected in 10 (9.8%) cases, low (1 point) – in 21 (20.6%), medium (2–4) – in 61 (59.8%), high (over 4) – in 10 (9.8%) patients.Conclusion. SLE remains a socially significant disease in Kazakhstan, as evidenced by the dynamics of the increase in incidence (101%) over 10 years (2009–2018). The prevalence of SLE is 24.7 per 100 thousand of the country’s population, lower than in other countries with a predominant Asian population or in comparison with Asian populations. A cohort of patients with SLE was represented by people of the Asian race (83.33%), Kazakhs (76.47%), and young people (33.85±10.58). The analysis revealed a delayed verification of the diagnosis of SLE (on average 4.5 (3; 12) years). Acute variants of the course of the disease with high disease activity according to SLEDAI-2K prevail. Common clinical manifestations of SLE are skin lesions, both acute and chronic (98%), joints (79.4%), damage to the nervous system (49%), hematological (54.9%) and immunological disorders (100%).

BackgroundSelf-monitoring (SM) is the centerpiece of behavioral weight loss treatment, but the efficacy of smartphone-delivered SM feedback (FB) has not been tested in large, long-term, randomized trials. ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to establish the efficacy of providing remote FB to diet, physical activity (PA), and weight SM on improving weight loss outcomes when comparing the SM plus FB (SM+FB) condition to the SM-only condition in a 12-month randomized controlled trial. The study was a single-site, population-based trial that took place in southwestern Pennsylvania, USA, conducted between 2018 and 2021. Participants were smartphone users age ≥18 years, able to engage in moderate PA, with a mean BMI between 27 and 43 kg/m2. MethodsAll participants received a 90-minute, one-to-one, in-person behavioral weight loss counseling session addressing behavioral strategies, establishing participants’ dietary and PA goals, and instructing on use of the PA tracker (Fitbit Charge 2), smart scale, and diet SM app. Only SM+FB participants had access to an investigator-developed smartphone app that read SM data, in which an algorithm selected tailored messages sent to the smartphone up to 3 times daily. The SM-only participants did not receive any tailored FB based on SM data. The primary outcome was percent weight change from baseline to 12 months. Secondary outcomes included engagement with digital tools (eg, monthly percentage of FB messages opened and monthly percentage of days adherent to the calorie goal). ResultsParticipants (N=502) were on average 45.0 (SD 14.4) years old with a mean BMI of 33.7 (SD 4.0) kg/m2. The sample was 79.5% female (n=399/502) and 82.5% White (n=414/502). At 12 months, retention was 78.5% (n=394/502) and similar by group (SM+FB: 202/251, 80.5%; SM: 192/251, 76.5%; P=.28). Objective: to analyze the provision of medical, including rheumatology, care in Kazakhstan, to study the incidence of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and to develop a registry of patients with this condition.Material and methods. The investigators analyzed the guidelines for the organization of medical, including rheumatology, care in the republic and the official statistical materials of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the period 2012 to 2017. Articles were searched to select activity indices, organ damages and to assess the quality of life and treatment programs in order to create a registry of patients with SLE.Results and discussion. The paper presents the basic principles of providing medical, including rheumatology, care in the republic. It gives data on the issues of providing SLE patients with medicines in outpatient and inpatient settings. It also analyzes trends in the incidence of SLE in the population of Kazakhstan in 2012 to 2017. There were 4,448 SLE patients, including 3,986 women; a comparative analysis of indicators demonstrated a 62.8% increase in the incidence of SLE from 2012 to 2017. The purpose and objectives of the registry of patients with SLE were substantiated.Conclusion. An analysis of morbidity rates suggests that SLE remains to be significant in the republic. The incidence of SLE has been noted to increase in the period from 2012 to 2017; there is a female preponderance (89.6%). The application of the SLE registry in clinical practice will be able to improve the diagnosis of the disease in the early stage and to prevent possible complications.

The article presents the results of measuring the luminescence spectra and luminescence excitation spectra for YAG:Eu with europium concentrations of 2, 6, 8, and 10%. The materials were synthesized by solid-phase synthesis. For samples with europium concentrations of 2, 8, and 10%, the diffraction patterns showed full agreement with the phases. However, the yttrium–aluminum–perovskite phase was present in the sample with a concentration of 6%, even though the samples were obtained under the same conditions. The spectra of the photoluminescence excitation and photoluminescence were recorded for all samples. The concentration dependences of the luminescence bands and luminescence excitation bands were also plotted. The bandgap and absorption spectra were simulated for the sample of YAG:Eu, doped with 2–4 ions of europium for comparison.

Adding feedback messages (FB) to self-monitoring (SM) may reinforce behavior change. However, socio-environmental conditions (e.g., limited access to parks or low walkability) may limit one's ability to respond to FB focused on physical activity (PA). In this analysis, we hypothesized that high neighborhood walkability will positively modify the treatment effect of FB on PA, and residents of high walkability neighborhoods will achieve higher PA levels at 12 months than those in low walkability neighborhoods. The study is a secondary analysis of a 12-month behavioral weight-loss trial. Adults with overweight/obesity were randomized to SM + FB (n = 251) or SM alone (n = 251). SM + FB group received smartphone pop-up messages thrice/week tailored to their PA SM data. The assessment included neighborhood walkability via Walk Score (low [<50] vs. high [≥50]), moderate to vigorous PA (MVPA) and step count via Fitbit Charge 2™, and weight via smart scale. We report adjusted linear regression coefficients (b) with standard errors (SE). The analysis included participants who were primarily white, female, and with obesity. In adjusted models, neighborhood walkability did not moderate the effect of treatment assignment on log-transformed (ln) MVPA or steps count over 12 months. The SM + FB group had greater lnMVPA than the SM group, but lnMVPA and steps were similar between walkability groups. There were no significant interactions for group and time or group, time, and walkability. These findings suggest that adding FB to SM had a small but significant positive impact on PA over 12 months, but neighborhood walkability did not moderate the treatment effect of FB on PA. The article discusses the theoretical and conceptual approaches of modern historical science on the issues of the Golden Horde's political history, revealing research paradigms and principles concerning the existence and behaviour of the nomadic statehood. The authors present the progress of historical knowledge in studying the issues related to social and political changes and the transformation of the Golden Horde. The interaction and the mutual influence of political structures on the sedentary agricultural populations as well as the dynamics and continuity of ideological processes were identified on the basis of new methodological principles of research. At the same time, the actualization and extrapolation of previous historical experience are particularly important, allowing to adequately mark the place of the nomadic civilization in the world-historical processes as a part of world history. Modern historical thought is characterized by new theoretical and conceptual approaches and the removal of clichés on the political history of the Golden Horde.

The Cauchy problem for the second order parabolic equation with singular coefficients with respect to t at the first order spatial derivatives, is considered. A solution to this problem is constructed in explicit form. To this purpose a weighted Holder space with positive power of t as the weight, is defined. The results from simulation of the structural and optical properties of YAG pure, doped with two ions and four ions of lanthanum, are presented in this paper to investigate the effect of dopants on a crystal. The simulation was carried out in the Quantum Espresso program. The band structure, density of states, the dielectric function, absorption, refractive index, energy loss function and reflectivity were calculated for different samples. It can be assumed that with a rise in concentration density of states, the impurity atom increases and the position of the most populated levels shifts to the right in the region of negative energies in the case of two atoms and to the left in the case of four atoms of lanthanum. We can draw conclusions about the transparency of the sample in the visible region, because the absorption spectra appear in the UV region. This transparent nature makes them perfect candidates for deep UV nonlinear optical materials. From the analysis of dielectric function, it is clear that in the case of YAG doped with two ions of lanthanum, two peaks appeared compared to the sample with one peak in pure and doped with four ions. Anisotropy is most pronounced with an increase in the degree of doping.
