This article describes the outcomes of the Bioperl project which developed a comprehensive library of Perl modules for managing and manipulating life-science information. The architecture of the toolkit, its usage, and functions are presented. It is easy-to-use, stable, and interfaces with bioinformatics applications and execute analyses and process genome sequence data.
