Die Transformation zu einer nachhaltigen Gesellschaft ist ein offener Suchprozess. Dabei erweist sich der Fortbestand von nicht-nachhaltigen Formen des Wirtschaftens und Zusammenlebens als sehr robust. Die Erwärmung des globalen Klimas und die Auszehrung der natürlichen Ressourcen greifen ineinander mit zeitgleich voranschreitenden sozialen Ungleichheiten und Konflikten, neuen pandemischen Bedrohungslagen und einem gesellschaftlichen Werte- und Kulturwandel. Um tragfähige Antworten auf solche ‚grand societal challenges’ von lokaler bis zur globalen Ebene entwickeln zu können, braucht es neue Herangehensweisen, Führungskompetenz und zeitgemäßes Wissen zu Nachhaltigkeitstransformation. Solche transformativen Fähigkeiten umfassen zum Beispiel reflexives, systemorientiertes Analysieren, adaptives Entscheiden und das Antizipieren von zukünftigen Entwicklungen und Zielkonflikten. Allerdings werden in der großen Mehrzahl der Hochschulausbildungen, Weiterbildungen und Management- Trainings diese Fähigkeiten nicht explizit thematisiert und gelehrt. Es ist diese Lücke, die wir mit unserem Projekt adressieren möchten. Wir schlagen daher hier ein Projekt zur Förderung vor, das die Entwicklung von zeitgemäßen Lernmodulen im Themenfeld Nachhaltigkeitstransformation zum Ziel hat. Dabei stehen drei Zielgruppen besonders im Fokus. Die Lernmodule sollen sich insbesondere an (zukünftige) Entscheidungsträger aus Unternehmen des Privatsektors, der Öffentlichen Verwaltung und aus Non-profit Organisationen (NPO’s) richten. Für diese Zielgruppen existieren in Deutschland kaum zeitgemäße Bildungsangebote zu den Dynamiken, Konflikten und Steuerungsansätzen einer nachhaltigen Gesellschaft also zu der Frage, wie komplexe Transformationsherausforderungen gestaltet werden können. Die drei Akteursgruppen nehmen unterschiedliche Rollen in Bezug auf Nachhaltigkeitstransformationen ein, sind in ihrem Zusammenspiel aber entscheidend für dessen Gelingen. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist solides Gestaltungswissen für Transformationsprozesse von entscheidender Bedeutung. Die Lernmodule sind als Kern von Kompetenztrainings und zertifizierten Weiterbildungen angelegt, für deren spätere Durchführung ein Umsetzungskonzept erstellt wird. Das Projekt liefert durch das Identifizieren von Lernbedarfen und Kompetenzlücken wichtige wissenschaftliche Ergebnisse mit Bezug zur aktuellen Transformationsforschung.

This thesis explores the digital opportunities at a mobile workplace in elderly home care by analyzing the existing information and communication flow that happens between and during shifts in everyday practice using a user-centric approach. The fieldwork analysis reveals that a combination of media, both verbal, digital and paper-based is used throughout the shift to pick up and pass on information. With an ageing population that requires care from home, to sustain and improve the quality of care, my research indicates an evident need of supporting home care workers whilst being out of office.The research question is: “How might we decrease the amount of information lost between and during night shifts through implementing a digital alarm register?” which evolved from one out of four design opportunities.The main participants and focus throughout this study are the end-users, night shift home care workers at two different locations in the Malmö municipality. By involving the users early in the process, having a rich fieldwork process and putting emphasis on “support” rather than “replacement” resulted in a mobile application tool presenting relevant patient information, current alarms and alarm history.

Die vorliegende Arbeit geht der Frage nach, wie Erziehung und Sozialisation in ausgewählten Werken von Ludwig Anzengruber dargestellt werden. Diese Thematik wird in einem Querschnitt durch die Textsorten verfolgt. Im Volksstück Das vierte Gebot (1877) stellt Anzengruber die „Verziehung“ verschiedener Heranwachsender und die dramatischen Folgen dar. Ergänzt wird die Untersuchung anhand der Erzählung Diebs-Annerl (1875) und des Romans Der Schandfleck (1876/84), da diese Werke ebenfalls besonders die Entwicklung der jeweiligen Heranwachsenden im Fokus haben. Einleitend wird das Werk Anzengrubers in einen historischen und literaturgeschichtlichen Kontext gestellt. Um den gesellschafts- und kulturwissenschaftlichen Hintergrund zu verdeutlichen, werden auch speziell die Stellung der Familie zu dieser Zeit und die Entwicklung der Erziehung in Augenschein genommen. Es schließt ein kurzer Abriss zu Lebens- und Gedankenwelt des Autors an, um dessen Zugang zu der Thematik zu verdeutlichen. Der Hauptteil der Arbeit besteht darin, in der Textanalyse den Einfluss von sozialem Umfeld und vor allem Erziehung auf die Protagonisten in den angeführten Werken von Ludwig Anzengruber zu zeigen. Der Autor bewegt sich hier im Spannungsfeld von der Zeit entsprechenden deterministischen Ansätzen und seinem Anspruch an den Menschen, dessen Schicksal und Menschlichsein selbst zu gestalten. Den einzelnen Figuren werden von Anzengruber durchaus teilweise schwere Voraussetzungen auferlegt, seien es schlechte Eltern oder schlechte Erziehung im Vierten Gebot, schlechte Anlagen oder ein Aufwachsen am Existenzminimum im Diebs-Annerl, oder gar das Geborenwerden als Sündkind im Schandfleck. Alle haben sie jedoch die Möglichkeit, sich für den guten, den sittlichen Weg zu entscheiden. In einem abschließenden Fazit werden weitere Analysevorschläge der besprochenen Werke aufgezeigt und außerdem ein Bogen zur heutigen Auffassung von Kindeswohl und Kindeswohlgefährdung gezogen.

Background Kozakia baliensis NBRC 16680 secretes a gum-cluster derived heteropolysaccharide and forms a surface pellicle composed of polysaccharides during static cultivation. Furthermore, this strain exhibits two colony types on agar plates; smooth wild-type (S) and rough mutant colonies (R). This switch is caused by a spontaneous transposon insertion into the gumD gene of the gum-cluster, resulting in a heteropolysaccharide secretion deficient, rough phenotype. To elucidate, whether this is a directed switch triggered by environmental factors, we checked the number of R and S colonies under different growth conditions including ethanol and acetic acid supplementation. Furthermore, we investigated the tolerance of R and S strains against ethanol and acetic acid in shaking and static growth experiments. To get new insights into the composition and function of the pellicle polysaccharide, the polE gene of the R strain was additionally deleted, as it was reported to be involved in pellicle formation in other acetic acid bacteria. Results The number of R colonies was significantly increased upon growth on acetic acid and especially ethanol. The morphological change from K. baliensis NBRC 16680 S to R strain was accompanied by changes in the sugar contents of the produced pellicle EPS. The R:ΔpolE mutant strain was not able to form a regular pellicle anymore, but secreted an EPS into the medium, which exhibited a similar sugar monomer composition as the pellicle polysaccharide isolated from the R strain. The R strain had a markedly increased tolerance towards acetic acid and ethanol compared to the other NBRC 16680 strains (S, R:ΔpolE). A relatively high intrinsic acetic acid tolerance was also observable for K. baliensis DSM 14400T, which might indicate diverse adaptation mechanisms of different K. baliensis strains in altering natural habitats. Conclusion The results suggest that the genetically triggered R phenotype formation is directly related to increased acetic acid and ethanol tolerance. The polE gene turned out to be involved in the formation of a cell-associated, capsular polysaccharide, which seems to be essential for increased ethanol/acetic tolerance in contrast to the secreted gum-cluster derived heteropolysaccharide. The genetic and morphological switch could represent an adaptive evolutionary step during the development of K. baliensis NBRC 16680 in course of changing environmental conditions. Stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa är ett växande problem hos den svenska befolkningen och sjukskrivningarna för personer med stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa har ökat under de senaste åren. Forskning har visat på att personer med stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa som genomgått grön rehabilitering har haft goda resultat. De har fått minskade symptom som ångest, depression och utbrändhet. Grön rehabilitering bygger på delarna miljöpsykologi, landskapsarkitektur och arbetsterapi. Syftet med studien var att kartlägga tidigare forskning om miljöns betydelse för personer med stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa som genomgår/genomgått grön rehabilitering. Examensarbetet var en scoping review där 19 artiklar inkluderades. Inklusionskriterierna var att studien innehöll personer med stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa som genomgår/genomgått grön rehabilitering, arbetsterapeut som medverkat i studien, arbetsterapeutiska interventioner eller författande arbetsterapeut, deltagare som var över 18 år, samt att de blivit publicerade mellan 2008–2019 och skrivna på svenska eller engelska. Exklusionskriterier var personer som tidigare haft psykiatriska diagnoser som inte ingår i ICD10-SE klassifikationen för stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa och personer med alkohol- och drogproblematik. Resultatet visade att personer med stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa kan ha stor nytta av att genomgå grön rehabilitering och deltagarna upplevde att den stödjande miljön var en bidragande faktor till minskade stressnivåer, återgång i arbete och att få struktur på vardagslivet.

De transportpolitiska målen ska säkerställa en samhällsekonomiskt effektiv och långsiktigt hållbar transportförsörjning för medborgarna och näringslivet i hela landet. En möjlig del i arbetet med att erbjuda ett effektivt transportsystem är att införa High Capacity Transports (HCT), det vill säga fordon med högre kapacitet, exempelvis i form av längd och tyngd, än vad som är möjligt med dagens konventionella fordon. Möjligheterna att framföra tyngre lastbilar med en maxbruttovikt på upp till 74 ton finns redan på delar av det svenska vägnätet, där de första vägarna öppnades för konventionell trafik i juli 2018. Att tillåta längre lastbilar skulle kunna bidra till att öka möjligheterna för att effektivisera transportsystemet och minska miljöbelastningen från godstransporter på väg, och dessutom bidra till att stärka konkurrenskraften för svenskt näringsliv. Inom ramen för detta uppdrag utreds förutsättningarna för att framföra längre lastbilar på det svenska vägnätet, konsekvenserna av ett sådant upplåtande samt vilka författningsändringar som krävs för att det ska bli möjligt.

Kozakia (K.) baliensis produces a homopolysaccharide (levan) from sucrose. In this study it was demonstrated that K. baliensis DSM 14400 and NBRC 16680 additionally produce a new, so far not characterized heteropolysaccharide (HePS), composed of glucose, galactose, mannose and glucuronic acid, with a xanthan-like structure. Via whole genome sequencing of both strains, corresponding HePS clusters, showing high similarity to the gum-cluster of xanthan, could be characterized. Finally, hints on the possible ecological role of the produced HePS were found and an overview of the HePS cluster genes in AAB in general could be obtained. In dieser Arbeit konnte gezeigt werden, dass K. baliensis DSM 14400 und NBRC 16680 zusätzlich in der Lage sind ein weiteres, bisher nicht charakterisiertes Heteropolysaccharid (HePS) zu produzieren, welches sich aus Glucose, Galactose, Mannose und Glucuronsäure zusammensetzt und eine Xanthan ähnliche Struktur aufweist. Durch die Genomsequenzierung beider Stämme konnten korrespondierenden HePS Cluster charakterisiert werden, die große Ähnlichkeit zum gum-Cluster von Xanthan haben. Weiterhin wurden mögliche Hinweise auf die ökologische Bedeutung des HePS gefunden und ein Überblick über HePS Cluster in AAB im Allgemeinen erstellt.

Tidigare forskning har visat att pojkars och flickors motivation till matematikämnet påverkas olika vad gäller självbilden, självförtroendet samt av de stereotypiska uppfattningar om matematik som omgivningen bidrar till. Forskningen visar en nedåtgående trend i mellanstadiet för elevers motivation i matematikämnet samt att flickor har sämre motivation till ämnet än pojkar. Syftet med denna studie är att testa om olika abstraktionsnivåer i matematikens område geometri har påverkan på och effekter för elevers motivation, självtillit och prestationer. Den syftar även till att se om det finns skillnader mellan pojkars och flickors motivation till matematik. Studien är av experimentell design i vilken abstraktionsnivåer i matematiken har manipulerats, undersökningen har dessutom genomförts vid två tillfällen. Detta i syfte att se hur värdering av självtillit och motivation påverkas hos eleverna utöver de faktiska resultaten och prestationerna i matematiktest. Deltagande elever går i mellanstadiet i olika kommuner i Sverige och vårdnadshavare har godkänt deltagandet. Denna studies resultat visar tvärtemot tidigare forskning att flickorna har högre motivation i matematikämnet än pojkarna. Undantaget är att pojkarnas inre motivation höjdes av den högre abstraktionsnivån i matematiktesterna. Det intressanta resultatet kan inte förklaras med varken självtillitsnivå eller spatial förmåga.

We report here the complete genome sequences of the acetic acid bacteria (AAB) Acetobacter aceti TMW 2.1153, A. persici TMW 2.1084, and Neoasaia chiangmaiensis NBRC 101099, which secrete biotechnologically relevant heteropolysaccharides (HePSs) into their environments. Upon genome sequencing of these AAB strains, the corresponding HePS biosynthesis pathways were identified.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att undersöka elevers motivation i matematikundervisningen i grundskolan utifrån ett genusperspektiv. Valda aspekter att utgå ifrån är dels huruvida elevers självbild samt självförtroende påverkar deras motivation. Dels hur omgivningens effekter, det vill säga hemmiljön, skolmiljön samt stereotypiska uppfattningar påverkar elevers motivation i matematik. Undersökningen har genomförts genom att samla in forskning, analysera den och sammanställa i ett resultat. Resultatet har sedan bearbetats i samband med litteratur inom ämnena motivation och genus. Resultatet visar på skillnader mellan flickors och pojkars självbild samt självförtroende genom grundskolans matematikundervisning, dessa faktorer påverkar i sin tur elevers motivation. Vidare visar resultatet att stereotypiska uppfattningar från både hem- och skolmiljö påverkar elevers motivation.

Denna uppsats har ett särskilt fokus på Frankrikes förbud av ansiktstäckande plagg, såsom burkor, vilket är ett exempel på en grund för de konflikter som uppkommer vid Europas ökade religiösa mångfald. Av de cirka 15 miljoner muslimerna i Europa, bor 5 miljoner i Frankrike, vilket gör islam till den näst största religionen i landet. Genom att undersöka Frankrikes lagstiftning mot ansiktstäckande plagg på offentliga platser och deras senare prövning i Europadomstolen kan man påvisa ett betydelsefullt exempel på hur religiösa minoritetsgrupper behandlas i det moderna Europa.

This thesis aims to enable improved urban sustainability in India and has therefore been conducted at WSP’s office in Delhi. The objective has been to chart the Indian characteristics as well as to identify difficulties regarding urban sustainability. The purpose and objective have been accomplished through the implementation of three research questions. The questions have been answered by a literary review of existing theories and a complementary document analysis. Furthermore, a case study of a new development in India with long-term sustainability in focus of the design has been conducted. For an Indian city to achieve a sustainable urban development, five pillars of sustainability have been identified; political, physical, ecological, social and economic. The ecological, social and economic are pillars from the common definition of sustainability, however they have different meaning and focus in the Indian context. The physical and political pillars are therefore characteristic for the Indian urban development. The physical pillar is added in the Indian context since short term planning and focus on profit is dominating the building industry. The demand for maintenance is because of that larger than the supply which results in a need for more emphasis on the physical built environment. The political pillar is applied because of the concerns for the value and quality of governance actions. It affects the four other pillars since the government should provide guidance, both with instructions and by executions, which is not always apparent. The Indian government has introduced several strategies in order to achieve sustainability in Indian cities. Rating tools for sustainability, such as Leed and Griha, together with the planning of spatial city forms, such as compact city form and mixed land use, which are the main procedures. Benefits in terms of lower interest rates on loans and a quicker clearance are given to developers who intend to build sustainably. Though the many theories and strategies seem ambitious, they are not always as effective when translated into practice. This is partly because of the lack of follow-up and partly the clients focus on quick profit. Thus, India is facing many challenges in order to reach a sustainable urban development. Together with urbanisation and growth in population, corruption is the main challenge since many other follows. These are lack of awareness in the field of sustainability, short term planning and the focus on profit as well as public safety and poverty. If India is serious about developing its cities sustainably, it is significant for the Indian government to take an inspiring role in using and promoting sustainability.

In the present thesis the geometric and electronic structures of the misfit layered compounds (PbS)$_{1.14}$NbS$_2$ and (PbS)$_{1.18}$TiS$_2$ have been investigated. The concept of growing misfit compounds by a chemical transport technique and by molecular beam epitaxy are explained. The crystals were characterized with respect to their stacking order, their lateral order, chemical purity and the properties of their cleavage plane. Misfit layered compounds exhibit outstanding properties that are connected to their unusual geometric structure: They consist of a highly ordered alternate stacking of two different subsystems. Due to the different symmetry of the subsystems a one-dimensional misfit is created along one in-plane layer axis. The influence of these geometric properties on the electronic structure was investigated by angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy with synchrotron radiation. The high stability and stacking order of misfit compounds could be attributed to a charge transfer as well as to covalent bonding. The one-dimensional misfit results in a change of the Fermi surface due to electron scattering by the quasiperiodic potential.
