Contribución al debate sobre TIC en red abiertas a la ciudadanía: ¿un recurso creciente para el conocimiento, la investigación y la tutela del patrimonio cultural? El texto presenta el proyecto MIPAC-CM cuyo objetivo es desarrollar un sistema basado en el uso de TIC y de ciencia ciudadana para la monitorización del ambiente, que sea aplicable de manera fácil y económica por instituciones que no disponen de otros medios.

El uso de almacenamiento de energía térmica pasiva en la envolvente de los edificios residenciales presenta una solución atractiva para mejora la eficiencia energética del edificio y reducir tanto el consumo de energía como las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero. El objetivo del Trabajo Fin de Máster es evaluar la integración de materiales de cambio de fase en la envolvente de un conjunto de edificios residenciales de España de distinta forma, tamaño y año de construcción, ubicados en distintas zonas climáticas representativas y, comparar dicha solución con la solución convencional de aislamiento térmico.

Background The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines suggest that greater absolute reduction in low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) leads to greater cardiovascular risk reduction. Several lipid-lowering treatments (LLTs) are available in Germany; however, the research on treatment patterns and LDL-C outcomes among patients (pts) receiving LLTs in real-world setting is limited. Purpose To characterize the pts characteristics, treatment patterns and LDL-C outcomes of pts with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) with hypercholesterolemia (ASCVD-H) in Germany. Methods This is a descriptive, non-interventional, retrospective cohort study of ASCVD-H pts identified from general physician (GP) practices available in the electronic medical record (EMR) database Disease Analyzer (January 1992-June 2020) in Germany. ASCVD-H pts were included if they had a recorded diagnosis, were prescribed LLTs or had LDL-C levels of ≥55 mg/dL anytime within 6 months before and 3 months after the index date (ID), as per the data recorded by the participating physician. The first encounter of ASCVD after hypercholesterolemia during the identification period (1/07/2015–30/06/2019) was considered as the ID. Persistence was measured as the duration (in days) with allowed gap of 60 days and adherence as proportion of days covered (PDC) within 12 and 24 months after ID. Results We included 147,905 pts with ASCVD-H (57.2% male; mean age: 70.6 yrs; ≥75 yrs-old: 43.3%; mean BMI: 29.0 kg/m2). Coronary artery disease was the most common index diagnosis (73.2%), followed by cerebrovascular disease (31.7%) and peripheral vascular disease (21.5%). Hypertension (83.5%) and diabetes (27.6%) were the most common comorbidities among these pts. At ID, statin monotherapy (58.6%) was the most commonly prescribed LLT, with simvastatin being the most common drug (36.4%). The use of PCSK9 inhibitors, ezetimibe and fibrates was very limited ( Conclusions Pts with ASCVD-H in Germany treated by GPs are elderly pts with multiple cardiovascular comorbidities. LDL-C was measured in nearly half of the pts, and almost all had LDL-C ≥55 mg/dL at ID. Findings indicate low prescription of LLTs in GP setting, particularly non-statin LLTs. The mean adherence (PDC) to statin monotherapy was 72% within the 24-month after ID. Data suggest the need for newer therapies with potential to control LDL-C levels. El TFM realizado se basa en el estudio de 75 casos, combinando 5 zonas climáticas, 3 tipologías de edificios, y 5 estándares normativos, para evaluar la reducción en las demandas energéticas de los edificios de tipo residencial, a lo largo de la normativa española, desde los construidos antes de 1979 hasta la fecha actual. Para ello, se analizan los diferentes factores y parámetros que intervienen en las demandas energéticas, con los límites establecidos, en función del año de construcción. Se analiza también el coste que supondría la transformación de un edificio de cada tipología, construido con el estándar previo a 1979 hasta la normativa actual, y el período de retorno de la inversión a realizar, así como diferentes ayudas públicas a las que se pude acoger la intervención en el edificio.

El presente trabajo fin de máster tiene como principal objetivo la reducción del consumo de energía del edificio conocido como Mirador de Sabayés, un albergue rural de reciente construcción ubicado en Nueno, en la provincia de Huesca. La primera fase del trabajo ha consistido en un estudio bibliográfico de manuales, guías y artículos de eficiencia energética. A continuación, se han evaluado y descrito las características constructivas y dela ubicación, y se ha realizado la certificación energética del albergue, con los datos recogidos sobre las instalaciones en el proyecto ejecutivo.A partir de ahí, el principal cometido de este trabajo ha sido el estudio y análisis detallado de propuestas de mejora en el ámbito energético, poniendo especial énfasis en su repercusión para conseguir reducir el impacto medioambiental y mejorar la sostenibilidad, en el contexto normativo actual de la edificación.Han sido analizadas diversas estrategias pasivas de disminución del consumo energético y de las emisiones de CO2, evaluando en primer lugar mejoras en la envolvente térmica, incluyendo optimización del aislamiento térmico en fachadas, huecos, carpinterías y cubierta, en segundo lugar se han analizado las posibilidades de integración de energías renovables, y finalmente se ha valorado el uso de materiales más sostenibles en el diseño de la envolvente térmica. Todas las propuestas se explican detalladamente, analizando su viabilidad y rentabilidad de cara a una futura implantación en el albergue. Destaca entre los resultados la combinación de varias propuestas en optimización de la envolvente térmica consiguiendo un ahorro energético del 60% en la demanda del albergue, pasando de 87 kWh/m2·año a 36 kWh/m2·año. El uso de materiales sostenibles como el corcho como elemento aislante en la envolvente térmica permitiría obtener una sustancial reducción en las emisiones de CO2, que en el caso del albergue de Sabayés se estiman en un total de 388,8 tCO2 eq. evitadas a lo largo de toda su vida útil.Por último, se ha contextualizado el edificio objeto de este estudio dentro de un marco más amplio, evaluando el grado de eficiencia energética actual de los albergues y casas rurales de la zona, en un radio de 10 km desde el edificio objeto, observando que la mayoría de los edificios se encuentran en la franja más desfavorable de la calificación energética.

In this paper we explore a finite volume renormalization scheme that combines three main ingredients: a coupling based on the gradient flow, the use of twisted boundary conditions and a particular asymmetric geometry, that for $SU(N)$ gauge theories consists on a hypercubic box of size $l^2 \times (Nl)^2$, a choice motivated by the study of volume independence in large $N$ gauge theories. We argue that this scheme has several advantages that make it particularly suited for precision determinations of the strong coupling, among them translational invariance, an analytic expansion in the coupling and a reduced memory footprint with respect to standard simulations on symmetric lattices, allowing for a more efficient use of current GPU clusters. We test this scheme numerically with a determination of the $\Lambda$ parameter in the $SU(3)$ pure gauge theory. We show that the use of an asymmetric geometry has no significant impact in the size of scaling violations, obtaining a value $\Lambda_{\overline{MS}} \sqrt{8 t_0} =0.603(17)$ in good agreement with the existing literature. The role of topology freezing, that is relevant for the determination of the coupling in this particular scheme and for large $N$ applications, is discussed in detail., Comment: 35 pages, 17 figures

We report some preliminary results of our ongoing non-perturbative computation of the twisted 't Hooft running coupling in a particular set-up, using the gradient flow to define the coupling and step scaling techniques to compute it. For the computation we considered a pure gauge SU(3) theory in four dimensions, defined on the lattice on an asymmetrical torus endowed with twisted boundary conditions in a single plane, and related the energy scale of the coupling to an effective size combining the size of the torus and the rank of the gauge group. GLIA 67:E125¿E766 (2019) : T02-048B, NG2-cells are the most enigmatic neural population, homogenously distributed in a grid-like manner in both gray and white matter regions of the adult brain. In the CNS, a fraction of NG2 cells (OPCs) is responsible for the generation of mature oligodendrocytes, but most of them do not differentiate, representing the most proliferative cells out of the adult neurogenic niches. Fate-mapping analysis in different transgenic mice lines revealed different degrees of differentiation and maturation properties of NG2 cells depending on brain areas. Such diversity suggests that NG2-cells conforms a heterogeneous population composed by different subpopulations devoted to distinct functions. Our hypothesis is that those differences emerge during development as occurs with other glial cell subtypes that are generated from specific progenitors (García-Marques and Lopez-Mascaraque, 2013; 2017). Using a multi-color genetic lineage tracing system, StarTrack, we specifically targeted pallial progenitors, to analyze the type and location of adult labelled cells related to their origin and embryonic stage. Star Track labelled cells exhibited different neural phenotypes and located at different regions that were classified in relation to the targeted embryonic area. Moreover, we also designed different StarTrack strategies to permanently label the individual progenitor cells and their progeny. The plasmids are injected in the lateral ventricles and electroporared in vivo using in utero (IUE) or postnatal electroporation at different stages (E12-P1). First, NG2-EGFP-StarTrack was used to specifically label their cell progeny. Preliminary data showed that labeled cells are located in the gray and white matter, and those cells represent different neural types. Secondly, to specific target the NG2-progenitors we performed the same experiment using Ubc-StarTrack along with an embodying NG2 promoter into the transposase. Preliminary results showed that those progenitors cells labeled with UbC-EGFP-StarTrack constructs are committed to give rise to astrocytes, NG2 cells and even neurons at P90. We report on our computation of the perturbative running of the 't Hooft coupling in a pure gauge $SU(N)$ theory with twisted boundary conditions. The coupling is defined in terms of the energy density of the flow fields at a scale given by a particular combination of the linear size of the torus and the rank of the gauge group. We present our results for the matching at one-loop order to the $\bar{MS}$ scheme in the case of a two-dimensional non-trivial twist.
