We present the discovery and characterization of six short-period, transiting giant planets from NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) -- TOI-1811 (TIC 376524552), TOI-2025 (TIC 394050135), TOI-2145 (TIC 88992642), TOI-2152 (TIC 395393265), TOI-2154 (TIC 428787891), & TOI-2497 (TIC 97568467). Precise radial velocity (PRV) surveys are important for the search of Earth analogs around nearby bright stars. Such planets induce a small stellar reflex motion with RV amplitude of $\sim$10 cm/s. Detecting such a small RV signal poses important challenges to instrumentation, data analysis, and the precision of astrophysical models to mitigate stellar jitter. In this work, we investigate an important component in the PRV error budget - the spectral contamination from the Earth's atmosphere (tellurics). We characterize the effects of telluric absorption on the RV precision and quantify its contribution to the RV budget over time and across a wavelength range of 350 nm - 2.5$\mu$m. We investigate the effectiveness in mitigating tellurics using simulated spectra of a solar twin star with telluric contamination over a year's worth of observations, and we extracted the RVs using two commonly adopted algorithms: dividing out a telluric model before performing cross-correlation or Forward Modeling the observed spectrum incorporating a telluric model. We assume various degrees of cleanness in removing the tellurics, including mimicking the lack of accurate knowledge of the telluric lines by using a mismatched line profile to model the "observed" tellurics. We conclude that the RV errors caused by telluric absorption can be suppressed to close to or even below the photon-limited precision in the optical region, especially in the blue, around 1-10 cm/s. At red through near-infrared wavelengths, however, the residuals of tellurics can induce an RV error on the m/s level even under the most favorable assumptions for telluric removal, leading to significant systematic noise in the RV time series and periodograms. If the red-optical or near-infrared becomes critical in the mitigation of stellar activity, systematic errors from tellurics can be eliminated with a space mission such as EarthFinder., Comment: 29 pages, 11 figures. Telluric absorption lines impact measuring precise radial velocities (RVs) from ground-based, high-resolution spectrographs. In this paper, we simulate the dependence of this impact on stellar spectral type and extend the work of the first paper in this series, which studied a G type star, to a synthetic M dwarf star. We quantify the bias in precise RV measurements in the visible and near-infrared (NIR) from the presence of tellurics in a simulated set of observations. We find that M dwarf RVs are more impacted by tellurics compared to G type stars. Specifically, for an M dwarf star, tellurics can induce RV errors of up to 16 cm/s in the red-optical and in excess of 220 cm/s in the NIR. For a G dwarf, comparable RV systematics are 3 cm/s in the red optical and 240 cm/s in the NIR. We attribute this relative increase for M dwarfs stars to the increased concordance in wavelength between telluric lines and stellar Doppler information content. We compare the results of our simulation to data collected on Barnard's star from the iSHELL spectrograph at the NASA Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF). The diversity of planetary systems that have been discovered are revealing the plethora of possible architectures, providing insights into planet formation and evolution. They also increase our understanding of system parameters that may affect planetary habitability, and how such conditions are influenced by initial conditions. The AU~Mic system is unique among known planetary systems in that it is a nearby, young, multi-planet transiting system. Such a young and well characterized system provides an opportunity to study orbital dynamical and habitability studies for planets in the very early stages of their evolution. Here, we calculate the evolution of the Habitable Zone of the system through time, including the pre-main sequence phase that the system currently resides in. We discuss the planetary atmospheric processes occurring for an Earth-mass planet during this transitionary period, and provide calculations of the climate state convergence age for both volatile rich and poor initial conditions. We present results of an orbital dynamical analysis of the AU~Mic system that demonstrate the rapid eccentricity evolution of the known planets, and show that terrestrial planets within the Habitable Zone of the system can retain long-term stability. Finally, we discuss follow-up observation prospects, detectability of possible Habitable Zone planets, and how the AU Mic system may be used as a template for studies of planetary habitability evolution., 17 pages, 10 figures, accepted for publication in the Astronomical Journal

AU Microscopii (AU Mic) is the second closest pre main sequence star, at a distance of 9.79 parsecs and with an age of 22 million years. AU Mic possesses a relatively rare and spatially resolved3 edge-on debris disk extending from about 35 to 210 astronomical units from the star, and with clumps exhibiting non-Keplerian motion. Detection of newly formed planets around such a star is challenged by the presence of spots, plage, flares and other manifestations of magnetic activity on the star. Here we report observations of a planet transiting AU Mic. The transiting planet, AU Mic b, has an orbital period of 8.46 days, an orbital distance of 0.07 astronomical units, a radius of 0.4 Jupiter radii, and a mass of less than 0.18 Jupiter masses at 3 sigma confidence. The MINiature Exoplanet Radial Velocity Array (MINERVA) is a dedicated observatory of four 0.7m robotic telescopes fiber-fed to a KiwiSpec spectrograph. The MINERVA mission is to discover super-Earths in the habitable zones of nearby stars. This can be accomplished with MINERVA's unique combination of high precision and high cadence over long time periods. In this work, we detail changes to the MINERVA facility that have occurred since our previous paper. We then describe MINERVA's robotic control software, the process by which we perform 1D spectral extraction, and our forward modeling Doppler pipeline. In the process of improving our forward modeling procedure, we found that our spectrograph's intrinsic instrumental profile is stable for at least nine months. Because of that, we characterized our instrumental profile with a time-independent, cubic spline function based on the profile in the cross dispersion direction, with which we achieved a radial velocity precision similar to using a conventional "sum-of-Gaussians" instrumental profile: 1.8 m s$^{-1}$ over 1.5 months on the RV standard star HD 122064. Therefore, we conclude that the instrumental profile need not be perfectly accurate as long as it is stable. We present Exo-Transmit, a software package to calculate exoplanet transmission spectra for planets of varied composition. The code is designed to generate spectra of planets with a wide range of atmospheric composition, temperature, surface gravity, and size, and is therefore applicable to exoplanets ranging in mass and size from hot Jupiters down to rocky super-Earths. Spectra can be generated with or without clouds or hazes with options to (1) include an optically thick cloud deck at a user-specified atmospheric pressure or (2) to augment the nominal Rayleigh scattering by a user-specified factor. The Exo-Transmit code is written in C and is extremely easy to use. Typically the user will only need to edit parameters in a single user input file in order to run the code for a planet of their choosing.
