Abstract

The electrical magnetic field plays an essential role in controlling the molten steel flow, heat transfer and migration of inclusions. Electromagnetic induction heating technology utilizes the force or heat effect of the electromagnetic field or simultaneously uses force and heat effect to control molten metal flow, heat transfer and the movement of non-metallic inclusion in the metallurgical process, to optimize the metallurgical process, improve production efficiency, quality, and performance. In this work, the development of IH in continuous casting tundish was outlined. The current theoretical and experimental research on electromagnetic induction heating for molten steel flow and heat transfer were introduced. Meanwhile, the electromagnetic purification mechanism and research progress of non-metallic inclusions in molten steel were analyzed. Finally, the prospects for the application of electromagnetic IH are proposed.

3. Mathematical simulation for effects of flow control devices in two-strand slab tundish

Abstract

Fluid flows in a two-strand tundish for slab continuous casting were performed with mathematical simulation methods. The molten steel flow velocity fields in the tundish with a turbulence inhibitor, dam, and weir were numerically calculated. Simulation results showed that the tundish with a turbulence inhibitor with no opened holes has similar flow characteristics to the tundish with dam and weir. These results are essential to optimizing the turbulence inhi bitor, dam and weir parameters for slab continuous casting tundish.

6. [A preliminary exploration into the efficacy of personalized surgical schemes in the repair of maxillary sinus perforation and maxillary sinus fistula]

Abstract

To explore the efficacy and value of personalized surgical schemes in the repair of maxillary sinus perforation and maxillary sinus fistula based on the size of the maxillary sinus perforation and maxillary sinus fistula. A total of 28 patients with maxillary sinus perforation and maxillary sinus fistula who were admitted to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Stomatology Hospital of Kunming Medical University from July 2017 to May 2020 were included to conduct a prospective case clinical study. After the inflammation in the maxillary sinus was controlled, a proper surgical repair method was selected according to the size of the perforation and fistula based on the double-layer closure technique. The diameter of the perforation and fistula was measured with the assistance of cone-beam CT. After that, the platelet rich fibrin (PRF) repair was performed on the perforation and fistula with 3 mm≤diameter7 mm in size in 14 patients. The PRF repair and buccal flap repair were performed on the perforation and fistula with 7 mm ≤diameter15 mm in size in 7 patients. The adjacent buccal pad repair, palatine flap repair, and buccal flap repair were performed on the perforation and fistula with 15 mm≤ diameter25 mm in size in 4 patients. The nasolabial axial flap repair and nasolabial free flap repair were performed on the perforation and fistula with a diameter ≥25 mm in size in 3 patients. The medical follow-up was conducted in all patients in the 1st, 2nd, and 4th week after surgery, with an overall success rate reaching 96.4% (27/28) after the initial intervention. The relapse of disease occurred in one patient (4.6%) with diabetes and a smoking history in the 2nd week after surgery. Identifying a proper surgical repair method according to the size of the oral and maxillary sinus perforation and maxillary sinus fistula based on the double-layer closure technique can improve the one-time cure rate in these patients under the premise that the inflammation in the maxillary sinus can be controlled.根据患者上颌窦穿孔及上颌窦瘘孔大小，选择个性化手术方案，探索在口腔上颌窦穿孔及上颌窦瘘修复中的应用疗效和意义。纳入2017年7月至2020年5月就诊于昆明医科大学附属口腔医院口腔颌面外科的口腔上颌窦穿孔及上颌窦瘘患者28例，进行前瞻性病例临床研究。在保证上颌窦内炎症得以控制的情况下，以双层封闭技术为核心，根据穿孔及瘘孔的大小选择相应的手术修复方法。通过锥形束CT测量穿孔和瘘孔直径大小，对直径≥3 mm且7 mm的14例患者，采用富血小板纤维蛋白（platelet rich fibrin，PRF）填充修复法；对直径≥7 mm且15 mm 的7例患者，采用PRF+颊侧组织瓣修复方法；对直径≥15 mm且25 mm的4例患者，采用邻位颊脂垫组织瓣+腭侧组织瓣+颊侧组织瓣重叠修复法；对直径≥25 mm的3例患者，采用鼻唇沟轴型皮瓣或鼻唇沟任意皮瓣修复法。所有患者在术后第1、2、4周随访检查，初次干预后总成功率为96.4%（27/28）；1例（4.6%）患者术后第2周复发。在保证上颌窦内炎症得以控制的情况下，以双层封闭技术为核心，根据穿孔及瘘孔的大小程度选择相应的手术修复方法，可提高口腔与上颌窦穿孔及上颌窦瘘的一次性治愈率。.

Abstract

胸腺瘤是前纵隔内常见的原发肿瘤，但是其内继发肿瘤转移比较罕见。现报道1例发生于前纵隔的瘤对瘤转移——乳腺癌转移至B2型胸腺瘤内。患者女，55岁，因"发现纵隔肿物2年，近期肿物增大1个月"就诊。肿物最大径6 cm，有包膜，灰白色、实性、质地坚实。显微镜下，绝大部分区域形态符合B2型胸腺瘤，即在大量未成熟淋巴细胞背景上散在巢团状分布肿瘤性上皮细胞，上皮细胞呈圆形或多角形，细胞核大而疏松，可见核仁。但局部可见形态与以上形态完全不同的小灶上皮细胞巢，巢内细胞较胸腺瘤上皮细胞大，呈圆形或多边形，异型性明显，核质比大，染色质粗糙，核仁明显，免疫组织化学表达广谱细胞角蛋白、细胞角蛋白7、雌激素受体、GATA3和GCDFP15，且上皮细胞膜抗原部分阳性。诊断为（前纵隔）乳腺癌转移至B2型胸腺瘤内。.

Abstract

To understand the methylation level and genetic delivery from parental line to their hybrid in soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.), four groups of parental lines and their hybrids were analyzed using methylation sensitive amplification polymorphism (MSAP). Comparisons of the different methylation distributions revealed. (1) The methylation level of the whole hybrid was lower than that of the corresponding parent lines, and the internal cytosine-methylation pattern was dominant. (2) In this study, comparing the total methylation levels in hybrids and the midparent values we assume that the larger differences in DNA methylation between parental lines lead to stronger heterosis. (3) Four demethylated and one hyper-methylated fragments were sequenced and located in the reference genome by blast analysis. These methylation changes could cause expression levels changes of a protein kinase, zinc finger protein and a mitochondrial transcript, which would affect a variety of metabolic pathways in soybean, providing an explanation for the observed heterosis.

Abstract

Based on a sample of 1.31 billion J/psi events collected with the BESIII detector, we report the study of the doubly radiative decay eta' -> gamma gamma pi(0) for the first time, where the eta' meson is produced via the J/psi -> gamma eta' decay. The branching fraction of eta' -> gamma gamma pi(0) inclusive decay is measured to be B(eta' -> gamma gamma pi(0))(Incl) = (3.20 +/- 0.07(stat) +/- 0.23(sys)) x 10(-3), while the branching fractions of the dominant process eta' -> gamma omega and the non-resonant component are determined to be B(eta' -> gamma omega) x B(omega -> gamma pi(0)) = (23.7 +/- 1.4(stat) +/- 1.8(sys)) x 10(-4) and B(eta' -> gamma gamma pi(0))(NR) = (6.16 +/- 0.64(stat) +/- 0.67(sys)) x 10(-4), respectively. In addition, the M-gamma gamma(2)-dependent partial widths of the inclusive decay are also presented.

Abstract

P27Kip1 is the one of the negative regulators of the cell cycle that plays an important role in regulating cell cycle and inhibiting cell proliferation by restraining cell in G1 phase. P27Kip1 downregulation maybe related to the occurrence of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). It was found that miR-155 significantly upregulated in OSCC tissue. Bioinformatics analysis revealed that miR-155 may bind with the 3'-UTR of p27Kip1. This study investigated the role of miR-155 in regulating p27Kip1 and affecting Tca8113 cell proliferation, cycle, and apoptosis.A total of 46 cases of OSCC patients received treatment in our hospital were enrolled to obtain tumor tissue. Another 25 normal oral mucosa samples were selected as control to detect the relationship between miR-155 and p27Kip1 expressions. Dual luciferase assay was adopted to confirm the targeted relationship between miR-155 and p27Kip1. Flow cytometry was applied to test cell apoptosis and cell cycle. CCK-8 assay was used to evaluate cell proliferation. Caspase-3 activity was detected by spectrophotometry.MiR-155 upregulated, while p27Kip1 declined in OSCC tissue compared with normal oral mucosa. Their expressions were related to TNM stage. MiR-155 targeted suppressed p27Kip1 expression. MiR-155 mimic and/or pEGFP-p27Kip1 transfection obviously declined p27Kip1 expression, blocked cell cycle in G1 phase, reduced cell proliferation, enhanced Caspase-3 activity, and increased cell apoptosis in Tca8113 cells.MiR-155 increased, while p27Kip1 reduced in OSCC tissue. Inhibition of miR-155 upregulated p27Kip1 expression, blocked cell cycle in G1 phase, weakened cell proliferation, and induced cell apoptosis.

19. Transfer Behaviors of PFPE Lubricant from Disk Surface to Slider

Abstract

The rapid growth in storage areal density of hard disk drive (HDD) forces the flying height of slider has been currently reduced to less than 2 nm. In such a narrow spacing, perfluoropolyether (PFPE) lubricant is easier to transfer from disk surface to slider under fluid force field and heat transfer field, which is found to have a great effect on date storage reliability. Firstly, the lubricant transfer volume expression with respect to lubricant molecular weight is established. Secondly, the finite element models (FEM) of both Tri-pad positive pressure slider and flat slider are developed, and based on this, the PFPE lubricant transfer behaviors in HDD are investigated. Finally, four type unite cells composed of lubricant molecules and air molecules are established by using Materials Studio software, then both dynamic temperature and diffusion coefficients are researched based on molecular dynamics theory. Results show that the PFPE lubricant amount decreases with increasing pitch angles, rotation angles, slider flying height and disk rotation velocity, while it increases when heat source power increases. The diffusion coefficients of ZTMD lubricant is the maximum in the four lubricants we researched, while the temperature change ratio of Z-15 lubricant is the maximum.

20. Design and application of a reflective programmable metasurface element in C Band

Abstract

The programmable metasurface element is able to achieve continuous controllable responses by loading controllable electronic devices. In this work, a reflective programmable element working at 5GHz is implemented with varactor diodes. By tuning the biasing DC voltage loaded on the varactor diodes, the capacitance can be changed, and then the reflected phases can be tuned. Simulated results show that the reflected phase can cover the 360° and amplitude of the reflective wave is more than 0.7. In order to verify the property of the proposed element, a reflective electronically controllable metasurface is designed based on the proposed element. The metasurface is able to steer the reflective wave from -30° to 30°. The proposed element possesses distinctive features such as simple ultrathin structure, programmable control, and subwavelength, thus exhibiting the promising prospects in agile antennas.

Abstract

This paper presents a new and simple algorithm for decomposing a convex structuring element into dilations of periodic lines with a union of a residue component. The algorithm proposed in this paper is based on the boundaries of convex structuring elements and the properties of dilations. Besides simplicity of the algorithm, the advantage of the method is that periodic lines possess a faster implementation of the corresponding dilations and erosions. The examples of optimal decomposition demonstrate that the algorithm offers a low complexity of morphological operators. The results indicate that the present decomposition algorithm is more robust when compared with other algorithms.

Abstract

Particle swarm optimization (PSO), a heuristic optimization method, has been successfully applied in solving many optimization problems in real-value search space. The original binary particle swarm optimization (BPSO) uses the concept of bit flipping of the binary string to convert the velocity from a real code into a binary code. However, the conversion process cannot be reversed, and it is difficult to extend this framework to solve certain discrete optimization problems. An enhanced binary particle swarm algorithm is proposed in this study based on pure binary bit-string frameworks to deal with structural topology optimization problems. Further, two enhancement strategies, stress-based strategy and pair-switched strategy, were developed to improve the performance of the proposed algorithm for topology optimization of structure. The results of experimental cases demonstrated in this study show that the proposed enhanced binary particle swarm optimization (EBPSO) with two developed strategies is an efficient population-based approach for finding the optimal design for structural topology optimization problems of minimum compliance design and minimum weight design.

Abstract

Electro-rheological (ER) fluid is a smart suspension which can be changed promptly from Newtonian to Bingham plastic material when subjected to a high-intensity electric field. This property of ER fluid makes it possible to be applied in adaptive energy absorbers. As the impact velocity encountered in applications could be very large, it is necessary to characterize the ERF under high shear rate. In this study, a capillary rheo-meter with parallel duct was designed and manufactured which is capable of producing a shear rate as high as 5000(1/s). Two giant ER fluids with mass concentration C = 51% and 44.5% and a commercial density-matched ER fluid with C = 37.5% were characterized. The experimental results show that when the ER fluids are free of electric field (E = 0 kV / mm ), they are Newtonian. However, for the former two ER fluids, the deposition effect is very remarkable and stirring has to be made continuously to keep the suspension stable. With the increase of the electric field intensity, the yield shear stresses of ER fluids increase exponentially but their viscosities do not change much. It is also found that within the parallel duct, the flow of ER fluids exhibits notable fluctuations, whose period increases with the increase of electric field intensity and is independent of the shear rate.

Abstract

Based on a sample of (225.3\pm2.8)\times 10^{6} J/\psi events collected with the BESIII detector, the electromagnetic Dalitz decays of J/\psi \to P e^+e^-(P=\eta'/\eta/\pi^0) are studied. By reconstructing the pseudoscalar mesons in various decay modes, the decays J/\psi \to \eta' e^+e^-, J/\psi \to \eta e^+e^- and J/\psi \to \pi^0 e^+e^- are observed for the first time. The branching fractions are determined to be \mathcal{B}(J/\psi\to \eta' e^+e^-) = (5.81\pm0.16\pm0.31)\times10^{-5}, \mathcal{B}(J/\psi\to \eta e^+e^-) = (1.16\pm0.07\pm0.06)\times10^{-5}, and \mathcal{B}(J/\psi\to \pi^0 e^+e^-)=(7.56\pm1.32\pm0.50)\times10^{-7}, where the first errors are statistical and the second ones systematic.

Abstract

Using $2.25\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}1{0}^{8}J/\ensuremath{\psi}$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage rings, we observe for the first time the process $J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p}{a}_{0}(980)$, ${a}_{0}(980)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}\ensuremath{\eta}$ with a significance of $6.5\ensuremath{\sigma}$ ($3.2\ensuremath{\sigma}$ including systematic uncertainties). The product branching fraction of $J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p}{a}_{0}(980)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}\ensuremath{\eta}$ is measured to be $(6.8\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1.2\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1.3)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}1{0}^{\ensuremath{-}5}$, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. This measurement provides information on the ${a}_{0}$ production near threshold coupling to $p\overline{p}$ and improves the understanding of the dynamics of $J/\ensuremath{\psi}$ decays to four-body processes.

Abstract

The process e(+)e(-) -> p (p) over bar pi(0) has been studied by analyzing data collected at root s = 3.773 GeV, root s = 3.650 GeV, and during a psi(3770) line shape scan with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The Born cross section of p (p) over bar pi(0) in the vicinity of the psi(3770) is measured, and the Born cross section of psi(3770) -> p (p) over bar pi(0) is extracted considering interference between resonant and continuum production amplitudes. Two solutions with the same probability and a significance of 1.5 sigma are found. The solutions for the Born cross section of psi(3770) -> p (p) over bar pi(0) are 33.8 +/- 1.8 +/- 2.1 pb and 0.06(-0.04-0.01)(+0.10+0.01) pb ( -> psi(3770)pi(0)) is calculated for the kinematic situation of the planned (p) over bar ANDA experiment. The maximum cross section corresponding to the two solutions is expected to be less than 0.79 nb at 90% confidence level and 122 +/- 10 nb at a center-of-mass energy of 5.26 GeV.

Abstract

Using a sample of $1.3\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{9}\text{ }\text{ }J/\ensuremath{\psi}$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we report the first observation of ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$. The measured branching fractions are $\mathcal{B}({\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}})=[8.53\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.69(\text{stat.})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.64(\text{syst.})]\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}5}$ and $\mathcal{B}({\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0})=[1.82\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.35(\text{stat.})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}0.18(\text{syst.})]\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$, which are consistent with theoretical predictions based on a combination of chiral perturbation theory and vector-meson dominance.

Abstract

With 1.06 x 10(8) psi(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector, the branching fraction of psi(3686) -> omega K+K- is measured to be (1.54 +/- 0.04 +/- 0.11) x 10(-4). This is the most precise result to date, due to the largest psi(3686) sample, improved signal reconstruction efficiency, good simulation of the detector performance, and a more accurate knowledge of the continuum contribution. Using the branching fraction of J/psi -> omega K+K-, the ratio B(psi(3868) -> K+K-)/B(J/psi -> K+K-) is determined to be (18.4 +/- 3.7)%. This constitutes a significantly improved test of the 12% rule, with the uncertainty now dominated by the J/psi branching fraction.

Abstract

By using a 2.92 fb-1 data sample taken at pffisffiffi 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, we search for the radiative transitions.d3770c and cd2S through the hadronic decays cdcd2S. K0 SK p. No significant excess of signal events above background is observed. We set upper limits at a 90% confidence level for the product branching fractions to be Bdd3770cxBd.c. K0 SK k p < 1.6x10-5 and Bd.d3770cd2SxBd.cd2S. K0 SK p

Abstract

Based on a sample of (225.3 +/- 2.8) x 10(6) J/psi events collected with the BESIII detector, the electromagnetic Dalitz decays of J/psi -> Pe(+)e(-)(P = eta'/eta/pi(0)) are studied. By reconstructing the pseudoscalar mesons in various decay modes, the decays J/psi -> eta'e(+)e(-), J/psi -> eta e(+)e(-), and J/psi -> pi(0)e(+)e(-) are observed for the first time. The branching fractions are determined to be B(J/psi -> eta'e(+)e(-)) = (5.81 +/- 0.16 +/- 0.31) x 10(-5), B(J/psi -> eta e(+)e(-)) = (1.16 +/- 0.07 +/- 0.06) x 10(-5), and B(J/psi -> pi(0)e(+)e(-)) = (7.56 +/- 1.32 +/- 0.50) x 10(-7), where the first errors are statistical and the second ones systematic.

Abstract

We perform an analysis of the D+ -> K-S(0)pi + (0)(pi) Dalitz plot using a data set of 2.92 fb(-1) of e(+) e(-) collisions at the (3770) mass accumulated by the BESIII experiment, in which 166694 candidate events are selected with a background of 15.1%. The Dalitz plot is found to be well represented by a combination of six quasitwo- body decay channels [k(SP)(0)(+) (1450)(+,) ] plus a small nonresonant component. Using the fit fractions from this analysis, partial branching ratios are updated with higher precision than previous measurements.

Abstract

This paper presents an outline of a coherent pulse compression–expansion system constructed for an airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR). The design concept, system performance, and experimental results are presented. Notably, a pair of conjugate surface acoustic wave (SAW) dispersive delay lines is implemented on a Bi12GeO20 substrate for the first time. The Bi12GeO20 substrate is chosen as a good tradeoff between insertion loss and temperature stability. Furthermore, its low acoustic velocity provides the added advantage of being able to use a shorter line to achieve the same time delay. ©2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Abstract

We report on a study of the process e(+)e(-) -> pi(+/-) (D (D) over bar*)(-/+) at root s = 4.26 GeV using a 525 pb(-1) data sample collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. A distinct charged structure is observed in the (D (D) over bar*)(-/+) invariant mass distribution. When fitted to a mass- dependent- width Breit- Wigner line shape, the pole mass and width are determined to be M-pole (3883: 9 +/- 1.5 (stat) +/- 4.2 dsyst__ MeV= c(2) and Gamma(pole) = (24: 8 +/- 3.3 (stat) +/- 11: 0 (syst)) MeV. The mass and width of the structure, which we refer to as Z(c)(3885), are 2 sigma and 1 sigma, respectively, below those of the Z(c)(3900) -> pi(+/-) J/psi peak observed by BESIII and Belle in pi(+)pi(-) J/psi final states produced at the same center- of- mass energy. The angular distribution of the pi Z(c)(3885) system favors a J(P) = J(P) = 1(+) quantum number assignment for the structure and disfavors 1(-) or 0(-). The Born cross section times the (D (D) over bar*) branching fraction of the Z(c)(3885) is measured to be sigma(e(+)e(-) -> pi(+/-)Z(c)(3885)(-/+)) x B(Z(c)(3885)-/+ -> (D (D) over bar*)(-/+) = (83.5 +/- 6.6 (stat) +/- 22.0 (syst)) pb. Assuming the Z(c)(3885) -> (D (D) over bar*)(-/+) signal reported here and the Z(c)(3900) -> pi J/psi signal are from the same source, the partial width ratio (Gamma(Z(c)(3885) -> D (D) over bar*)/Gamma(Z(c)(3900) -> pi J/psi)) = 6.2 +/- 1.1 (stat) +/- 2.7 (syst) is determined.

Abstract

We report a measurement of the branching fraction B(D+ -> mu(+)nu(mu)) = [3.71 +/- 0.19(stat) +/- 0.06(sys)] x 10(-4) based on 2.92 fb(-1) of data accumulated at root s = 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. This measurement, in conjunction with the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element vertical bar V-cd vertical bar determined from a global Standard Model fit, implies a value for the weak decay constant f(D+) = (203.2 +/- 5.3 +/- 1.8) MeV. Additionally, using this branching fraction measurement together with a lattice QCD prediction for f(D+), we find vertical bar V-cd vertical bar 0.2210 +/- 0.0058 +/- 0.0047. In either case, these are the most precise results for these quantities to date.

Abstract

With data samples collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring at center-of-mass energies from 4.009 to 4.420 GeV, the process e+e-→ γX(3872) is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of 6.3σ. The measured mass of the X(3872) is (3871.9 ± 0.7s tat ± 0.2 syst) MeV/c(2), in agreement with previous measurements. Measurements of the product of the cross section σ[e+e- → γX(3872)] and the branching fraction B[X(3872)→π+π-J/ψ] at center-of-mass energies 4.009, 4.229, 4.260, and 4.360 GeV are reported. Our measurements are consistent with expectations for the radiative transition process Y(4260) → γX(3872).

Abstract

We report on a study of the process e+ e- → π± (DD*)∓ at sqrt[s] = 4.26 GeV using a 525 pb(-1) data sample collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. A distinct charged structure is observed in the (DD*)∓ invariant mass distribution. When fitted to a mass-dependent-width Breit-Wigner line shape, the pole mass and width are determined to be Mpole = (3883.9±1.5(stat)±4.2(syst)) MeV/c2 and Γpole = (24.8±3.3(stat)±11.0(syst)) MeV. The mass and width of the structure, which we refer to as Zc(3885), are 2σ and 1σ, respectively, below those of the Zc(3900) → π± J/ψ peak observed by BESIII and Belle in π+ π- J/ψ final states produced at the same center-of-mass energy. The angular distribution of the πZc(3885) system favors a JP = 1+ quantum number assignment for the structure and disfavors 1- or 0-. The Born cross section times the DD* branching fraction of the Zc(3885) is measured to be σ(e+ e- → π± Zc(3885)∓)×B(Zc(3885)∓ → (DD*)∓) = (83.5±6.6(stat)±22.0(syst)) pb. Assuming the Zc(3885) → DD* signal reported here and the Zc(3900) → πJ/ψ signal are from the same source, the partial width ratio (Γ(Zc(3885) → DD*)/Γ(Zc(3900) → πJ/ψ)) = 6.2±1.1(stat)±2.7(syst) is determined.

Abstract

Using a sample of 1:06 X 10(8) psi(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector, we present the first observation of the decays of psi(3686) -> Lambda(Sigma) over bar (+) pi(-) + c.c. and psi(3686) -> Lambda(Sigma) over bar (-) pi(+) + c.c. The branching fractions are measured to be B(psi(3686) -> Lambda(Sigma) over bar (+) pi(-) + c.c.) = (1.40 +/- 0.03 +/- 0.13) X 10(-4) and B(psi(3686) -> Lambda (Sigma) over bar (-) pi(+) + c.c.) = (1.54 +/- 0.04 +/- 0.13) X 10(-4) where the first errors are statistical and the second ones systematic.

Abstract

We study e(+)e(-) -> pi(+) pi(-)h(c) at center-of-mass energies from 3.90 to 4.42 GeV by using data samples collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider. The Born cross sections are measured at 13 energies and are found to be of the same order of magnitude as those of e(+)e(-) -> pi(+) pi(-) J/Psi but with a different line shape. In the pi(+/-)h(c) mass spectrum, a distinct structure, referred to as Z(c)(4020) is observed at 4. 02 GeV/c(2). The Z(c)(4020) carries an electric charge and couples to charmonium. A fit to the pi(+/-)h(c) invariant mass spectrum, neglecting possible interferences, results in a mass of (4022.9 +/- 0.8 +/- 2.7) MeV/c(2) and a width of (7.9 +/- 2.7 +/- 2.6) MeV for the Z(c)(4020), where the first errors are statistical and the second systematic. The difference between the parameters of this structure and the Z(c) (4025) observed in the D*(D) over bar* final state is within 1.5 sigma, but whether they are the same state needs further investigation. No significant Z(c)(3900) signal is observed, and upper limits on the Z(c)(3900) production cross sections in pi +/- h(c) at center-of-mass energies of 4.23 and 4.26 GeVare set.

Abstract

Using a sample of 1.06 x 10(8)psi(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, the decays eta(c)(2S) -> p (p) over bar and h(c) -> p (p) over bar are searched for, where eta(c)(2S) and h(c) are reconstructed in the decay chains psi(3686) -> gamma eta(c)(2S), eta(c)(2S) -> p (p) over bar and psi(3686) -> pi(0)h(c), h(c) -> p (p) over bar, respectively. No significant signals are observed. The upper limits of the product branching fractions are determined to be B(psi(3686) -> gamma eta(c)(2S)) x B(eta(c)(2S) -> p (p) over bar) pi(0)h(c)) x B(h(c) -> p ) p (J = 0, 1, 2) are also measured to be (24.5 +/- 0.8 +/- 1.3, 8.6 +/- 0.5 +/- 0.5, 8.4 +/- 0.5 +/- 0.5) x 10(-5), which are the world's most precise measurements.

Abstract

Case-control study on mothers of cheilopalatognathus children was conducted, to investigate the maternal physiological and psychological factors for occurrence of cheilopalatognathus.One hundred ten mothers of cheilopalatognathus children who were scheduled for one-stage surgery were selected as a research group, and 110 mothers of normal children served as a normal control group at the same time. Trait Anxiety Inventory (T-AI), Life Events Scale (LES), Trait Coping Style Questionnaire (TCSQ), Type C Behavior Scale (CBS), adult Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), and homemade general questionnaire survey were employed for the investigation.Compared with the control group, the scores for negative event tension value, anxiety, and depressive factors were higher in the study group (p0.05); while the scores for positive event tension value, intellect, optimism, and social support factors were lower (p0.05). Regression analysis found that physiological factors included were five: education, changes in body weight during pregnancy, the intake amount of milk and beans, and intake of healthcare products, and supplementary folic acid taken or not, while the psychological factors included were four: positive event stimulation, negative event stimulation, the amount of social support, as well as introvert and extrovert personalities.The study results suggest that pregnant women's physiological and psychological factors can cause changes in cheilopalatognathus incidence, which is expected to be guidance for healthcare during pregnancy, to prevent the occurrence of cheilopalatognathus.

Abstract

We study e+e-→π+π-hc at center-of-mass energies from 3.90 to 4.42 GeV by using data samples collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider. The Born cross sections are measured at 13 energies and are found to be of the same order of magnitude as those of e+e-→π+π-J/ψ but with a different line shape. In the π±hc mass spectrum, a distinct structure, referred to as Zc(4020), is observed at 4.02 GeV/c2. The Zc(4020) carries an electric charge and couples to charmonium. A fit to the π±hc invariant mass spectrum, neglecting possible interferences, results in a mass of (4022.9±0.8±2.7) MeV/c2 and a width of (7.9±2.7±2.6) MeV for the Zc(4020), where the first errors are statistical and the second systematic. The difference between the parameters of this structure and the Zc(4025) observed in the D*D[over ¯]* final state is within 1.5σ, but whether they are the same state needs further investigation. No significant Zc(3900) signal is observed, and upper limits on the Zc(3900) production cross sections in π±hc at center-of-mass energies of 4.23 and 4.26 GeV are set.

Abstract

Using (106.41 +/- 0.86) x 10(6) Psi(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, we study for the first time the decay chi(cJ) -> eta'K+K- (J = 1, 2), where eta' -> gamma rho(0) and eta' -> eta pi(+)pi(-). A partial wave analysis in the covariant tensor amplitude formalism is performed for the decay chi(c1) -> eta'K+K-. Intermediate processes chi(c1) -> eta'f(2)'(1525) chi(c1) -> K-0*(1430)K-+/-(-/+) (K-0*(1430)(+/-) -> eta'K-+/-) are observed with statistical significances larger than 5 sigma, and their branching fractions are measured.

Abstract

The human Distal-less Homeobox (DLX) gene family encodes homeobox transcription factors involved in the control of morphogenesis and tissue homeostasis, which is primarily expressed in embryonic development. Recently, DLX gene family was reported to have essential roles in carcinogenesis. We have profiled whole genome expressed genes in 83 glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) patients from the Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas (CGGA) Group. Two major groups of samples were identified in mRNA expression profiles (referred to as Cluster 1 (C1) and Cluster 2 (C2)). We identified 7 out of the top 10 Gene Ontology terms in the C1 group were associated with differentiation and development of neuronal cell. The most significant prognostic gene was DLX2 (P0.001, OR = 1.744); overexpression of DLX2 indicated poor survival in the 83 GBM patients (low DLX2 vs high DLX2, 77.6 vs 44.7 weeks, P0.001). Annotation of mRNA profiling data on GBM from The Cancer Genome Atlas and MD Anderson Cancer Center showed the proneural and neural subtypes highly correlated with low and high DLX2 expression, respectively. Knocking down of DLX2 in GBM cell line-LN229 results in decreased cyclin D1 expression and cell proliferation. Collectively, these data identified high expression of DLX2 as a poor prognostic marker to GBM patients.

Abstract

Genetic diversity of Elymus sibiricus (Poaceae) was examined in eight populations from the southeast Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. We detected 291 RAPD polymorphic loci in 93 samples. The percentage of polymorphic bands (PPB) was 79%. Genetic diversity (H(E)) was 0.264, effective number of alleles (N(E)) was 1.444, Shannon's information index (H(O)) was 0.398, and expected Bayesian heterozygosity (H(B)) was 0.371. At the population level, PPB = 51%, N(E) = 1.306, H(E) = 0.176, I = 0.263, and H(B) = 0.247. A high level of genetic differentiation was detected based on Nei's genetic diversity analysis (G(ST) = 32.0%), Shannon's index analysis (33.7%), and the Bayesian method (θ(B) = 33.5%). The partitioning of molecular variance by AMOVA demonstrated significant genetic differentiation within populations (60%) and among populations (40%). The average number of individuals exchanged between populations per generation (N(m)) was 1.06. The populations were found to share high levels of genetic identity. No significant correlation was found between geographic distance and pairwise genetic distance (r = 0.7539, P = 0.9996). Correlation analysis revealed a significant correlation (r = 0.762) between RAPD H(E) found in this study and ISSR H(E) values from a previous study.

Abstract

A dual-polarized ceiling-mounted antenna, based on previous ceiling-mounted antennas is proposed in this letter. It consists of one vertical polarization unit and one horizontal polarization unit. The vertical polarization unit is a transformation of a monople, looking like a tundish. And the horizontal polarization unit comprises of four dipoles on a substrate ring. The two units compose a nesting structure. The impedance bandwidth of this dual-polarization ceiling-mounted antenna ranges from 2.3 to 2.7 GHz, covering TD-SCDMA band (2.3 GHz to 2.4 GHz). And due to the symmetrical structures, the antenna radiates omnidirectional patterns in azimuth.

Abstract

Gas-phase multiply charged proteins have been sympathetically cooled to translational temperatures below 1 K by Coulomb interaction with laser-cooled barium ions in a linear ion trap. In one case, an ensemble of 53 cytochrome c molecules (mass ~ 12390 amu, charge +17 e) was cooled by ~ 160 laser-cooled barium ions to less than 0.75 K. Storage times of more than 20 minutes have been observed and could easily be extended to more than an hour. The technique is applicable to a wide variety of complex molecules., same version as published in Phys. Rev. A
