We report the phase-connected timing ephemeris, polarization pulse profiles, Faraday rotation measurements, and Rotating-Vector-Model (RVM) fitting results of 12 millisecond pulsars (MSPs) discovered with the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST) in the Commensal Radio Astronomy FAST survey (CRAFTS). The timing campaigns were carried out with FAST and Arecibo over 3 yr. 11 of the 12 pulsars are in neutron star–white dwarf binary systems, with orbital periods between 2.4 and 100 d. 10 of them have spin periods, companion masses, and orbital eccentricities that are consistent with the theoretical expectations for MSP–Helium white dwarf (He WD) systems. The last binary pulsar (PSR J1912−0952) has a significantly smaller spin frequency and a smaller companion mass, the latter could be caused by a low orbital inclination for the system. Its orbital period of 29 d is well within the range of orbital periods where some MSP–He WD systems have shown anomalous eccentricities, however, the eccentricity of PSR J1912−0952 is typical of what one finds for the remaining MSP–He WD systems.

PurposePrevious studies have reported that voice therapy via telepractice is useful for patients with nodules and muscle tension dysphonia. Nevertheless, telepractice for elderly patients with voice disorders has not yet been investigated. We conducted this study to examine the hypothesis that voice therapy via telepractice is not inferior to conventional voice therapy.MethodEighty patients with dysphonia aged more than 55 years participated in this study from September 2016 to June 2018. After screening the inclusion and the exclusion criteria, 69 patients were randomized into telepractice (33 patients) and conventional (36 patients) groups. The outcome measurements included Voice Handicap Index-10, videolaryngostroboscopy, maximum phonation time, auditory-perceptual evaluation, and acoustic analysis. Pairedttest, Wilcoxon signed-ranks test, and repeated measures analysis of variance were used to examine treatment outcomes.ResultsThe diagnoses of voice disorders included atrophy (n= 33), unilateral vocal paralysis (n= 13), muscle tension dysphonia (n= 7), nodules (n= 6), and polyps (n= 10). No significant differences were observed in age, sex, and baseline measurements between the two groups. Twenty-five patients in the telepractice group and 24 patients in the control group completed at least four weekly sessions. Significant improvements were observed for all the outcome measures (p< .05) in both groups. Improvements in Voice Handicap Index-10 in the telepractice group (24.84 ± 5.49 to 16.80 ± 8.94) were comparable to those in the conventional group (22.17 ± 7.29 to 13.46 ± 9.95,p= .764). Other parameters also showed comparable improvements between the two groups without statistically significant differences.ConclusionsThis is the first randomized controlled trial comparing telepractice and conventional voice therapy in elderly patients with voice disorders. The results showed that the effectiveness of voice therapy via telepractice was not inferior to that of conventional voice therapy, indicating that telepractice can be used as an alternative to provide voice care for elderly patients with vocal disorders.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical features and prognosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients with the mixed lineage leukemia (MLL) gene rearrangements AF6 (MLL-AF6) positive. METHODS: In the study, 11 patients who were newly diagnosed with MLL-AF6 positive AML were analyzed retrospectively, related literature was reviewed to clarify the clinical features and prognosis of MLL-AF6 positive patients. RESULTS: Among the 11 patients, there were 6 males and 5 females, with a median age of 36 years. Six patients were diagnosed with AML M5 and five with M4 according to FAB classification (French-American-British classification systems). Gingival swelling and pain occurred in 6 cases and fever occurred in 5 cases. At first diagnosis, the median white blood cells were 55.5×10(9)/L. Immunotype showed the expression of myeloid/monocyte and early stem cell series antigens. The expression level of MLL-AF6 fusion gene (real-time quantitative PCR) was 14.2%-214.5%, and 6/11 cases (54.5%) were associated with high EVI1 gene expression. Mutations of KRAS, TET2, ASXL1, TP53, DNMT3A, and FLT3-ITD were detected by next generation sequencing (NGS) in 4 patients. Chromosome G banding examination showed that 2 cases were t(6;11)(q27, q23) with complex karyotype abnormality, 4 cases with +8 abnormality and 2 cases with normal karyotype. Hematological complete remission (CR) was achieved in 8/11 patients (72.7%) after conventional induction chemotherapy, and primary drug resistance was observed in 3 patients. Two of the eight patients with CR were negative for minimal residual disease (MRD), with a median CR duration of 4.5 months. Two patients with positive MRD and three patients with refractory recurrence underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT), but all died due to leukemia progression. At the end of follow-up on December 1, 2019, 2 patients were alive and 9 died, with median survival time of 9 months. CONCLUSION: The AML patients with MLL-AF6 positive were mostly young, the majority of FAB types were M4 and M5, and most of the patients often had fever as the first symptom, with increased white blood cells, accompanied by organ infiltration, and high EVI1 gene expression. The hematological remission rate of routine chemotherapy is not low, but it is difficult to achieve molecular remission, most of which have early recurrence. Early allo-HSCT in a molecular negative state may prolong the CR duration.

Background/purpose: Voice therapy is frequently recommended as the first-line treatment for benign voice disorders. This study investigated the clinical effectiveness of voice therapy and the prognostic factors of treatment outcomes. Methods: We recruited 103 consecutive patients with voice disorders, namely vocal nodules, polyps, and muscle tension dysphonia (MTD), from September 2014 to July 2016. All the patients received voice therapy as the primary treatment. Treatment outcomes were evaluated using auditory perceptual evaluation, acoustic analysis, maximum phonation time, and 10-item voice handicap index (VHI-10). To explore the threshold effect of body mass index (BMI) on bone mineral density (BMD) in Chinese women living in the fluorosis area, we conducted a cross-sectional study and recruited 722 women in rural areas in Henan Province, China. After detection and analyses, we found that compared with the normal BMI group, the risk of osteoporosis in the overweight and obese groups were reduced by 32% and 69%, respectively. BACKGROUND The short-term effect of ambient air pollution on atopic dermatitis (AD), along with its effect modifiers, has not been fully addressed. OBJECTIVES To examine the short-term associations between air pollution and AD, and to identify effect modifications by age and season. METHODS We used the generalized additive model to evaluate the short-term effect of ambient air pollution on daily hospital visits for AD, adjusting for potential confounders. Subgroup analyses were performed to identify potential effect modifications by season and age (< 18 years and ≥ 18 years). RESULTS A total of 29 972 hospital visits for AD were recorded in Guangzhou, China, from 19 January 2013 to 31 December 2017. Among them, 72·8% were visits by children and 51·4% occurred in the cool season. Acute and delayed effects on AD hospital visits were significant for all air pollutants. Stronger effects were seen in the cool season (approximately 1·7-3·0 times higher than effects in the warm season). Stronger effects were also observed in children (approximately 1·3-1·8 times higher than effects in adults). Sensitivity analyses indicated the results were robust. CONCLUSIONS Air pollution might be an important trigger for AD in subtropical Guangzhou, China. Children are more vulnerable than adults, and the effects are stronger in the cool season.

When wars, major disasters, or epidemics of the infectious diseases occur, existing medical facilities are usually unable to implement timely and effective treatment for patients, or the reception capacity is difficult to meet the surge in demand for health care. The makeshift emergency hospitals are built for patient reception, treatment, and even isolation for infectious disease control. The makeshift hospitals have developed and improved in modern times, including mobile field hospitals, field tent hospitals, and navy hospital ships equipped with advanced equipment and commonly used for military purposes or in support of disaster relief and humanitarian operation, and temporary hospitals built in large public buildings, and newly built hospitals. Makeshift hospitals have played an important role in response to many disasters and epidemics globally. Background Poverty has adverse effects on child health. While children in poverty face greater health challenges, some still achieve positive health outcomes. This is in part due to their resilience when facing adversity. Identifying the factors that foster child resilience can aid in developing strategies to promote child resilience and reduce the harmful effects of child poverty. This study aims to identify the biological and social factors of resilience among children in poverty from birth to age 12. Methods Data for the analysis came from the Taiwan Birth Cohort Study, a nationally representative sample of 17,354 children who completed six waves of interview surveys between 2005 and 2017. Our sample included 4,570 children who experienced poverty from birth to age 12. The primary outcome variable was child resilience, defined as impoverished children who maintained good health outcomes over the 12-year survey period. Multiple logistic regression was used to examine the factors of child resilience. Results Of the 4,570 children, 36.1% always had good health despite experiencing poverty before the age of 12. An easy temperament (OR = 2.5, 95% CI: 1.9-3.0), female (OR = 1.1, 95% CI: 1.0-1.3), a birth weight greater than 2,500 grams (OR = 1.6, 95% CI: 1.2-2.1), having a foreign-born mother (OR = 1.5, 95% CI: 1.2-1.7), receiving breast milk after birth (OR = 1.3, 95% CI: 1.1-1.5), and good parent-child interaction at 3 years of age (OR = 1.4, 95% CI: 1.2-1.7) were associated with child resilience. Early parent-child interactions can moderate the effect of children's birth weight on later resilience. Conclusions Our findings indicated the factors associated with child resilience in the context of poverty, suggesting that supporting breastfeeding and nurturing parent-child relationships are effective public health actions to foster child resilience. Future research is needed to unravel the underlying mechanisms of biological factors associated with child resilience. Key messages Breastfeeding after birth and high-quality parent-child interaction can lead to positive adaptations to child poverty. Children with difficult temperaments, boys and those born at low birthweight are more vulnerable to poverty and should be targeted for building resilience against poverty.

The aim of this study was to uncover the expression pattern and biological function of circ_0001982 in the progression of colorectal cancer (CRC).Relative expression level of circ_0001982 in 66 paired CRC tissues and adjacent normal tissues was detected by quantitative Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR). The association between circ_0001982 level and clinical indexes of CRC patients was assessed. The effect of circ_0001982 on cellular behaviors of HT29 and HCT-116 cells was evaluated in vitro. Dual-Luciferase reporter gene assay was conducted to verify the binding relation between circ_0001982 and microRNA-144. Finally, rescue experiments were performed to assess the role of the circ_0001982/microRNA-144 axis in mediating the progression of CRC.Circ_0001982 was significantly up-regulated in CRC tissues when compared with adjacent normal ones. CRC patients with a high expression level of circ_0001982 showed a significantly higher rate of distant metastasis and worse survival. Knockdown of circ_0001982 remarkably attenuated the proliferative, migratory, and invasive capacities of HCT-116 cells. However, opposite results were observed after the overexpression of circ_0001982 in HT29 cells. MicroRNA-144 was verified as a target gene of circ_0001982, which could be negatively regulated by circ_0001982. Furthermore, microRNA-144 was capable of reversing the regulatory effect of circ_0001982 on the proliferative, migratory, and invasive capacities of CRC cells.Up-regulated circ_0001982 was closely related to distant metastasis and poor prognosis of CRC. In addition, circ_0001982 attenuated the progression of CRC by negatively regulating microRNA-144.

Junction flows are subject to an intense adverse pressure gradient and three-dimensional separation when encountering a wall-mounted obstacle. A dynamically rich horseshoe vortex system is formed in this region. In this study the junction flow at the interaction of a wing and a flat plate is investigated. The numerical modelling is carried out using the three-dimensional large eddy simulation (LES) approach at the Reynolds number Re = 1.15×105 based on the wing’s maximum thickness T and the free stream velocity Uref. The comparison with the experimental results shows that the numerical simulations fairly accurately reproduce the phenomenon under study. The dynamic mode decomposition (DMD) of the resolved flow field is employed to obtain the coherent dynamics of the flow. To clearly demonstrate the oscillation characteristics and the horseshoe vortex structures of junction flow the velocity field in the plane of symmetry is decomposed with eduction of two dominant DMDmodes. These two DMDmodes are reconstituted and developed, together with the mean flow mode to explain the latent dynamics. Mode 1 reveals the merging of the horseshoe vortices and mode 2 is responsible for the process of fission and stretching.

Problems in paraffin deposition occur frequently in oil exploitation. Considering the problem that some paraffin removal and prevention strains cannot grow in high-salinity reservoirs, we domesticated four salt-tolerant laboratory bacterial strains. Crude oil emulsification effect, paraffin removal rate, and paraffin prevention rate of the strains were evaluated. KB and JH-A strains exhibited good paraffin removal and prevention effects, with paraffin removal rates of 51.82% and 81.56%; and 51.82% and 80.90%, respectively. Gas chromatography mass spectrometry analysis of paraffin components before and after biodegradation was performed on KB and JH-A strains. Results showed that relative contents of n-alkanes between C15–C23 and C27–C30 evidently decreased, indicating their good biodegradation. This technique provides a new method for practical application of paraffin removal and prevention in high-salinity reservoirs.

Improved electrical characteristics of CMOS inverters composed of Ge n- and p-finFETs were demonstrated by utilizing newly introduced Ge surface treatments. In-situ digital O3 treatment in ALD chamber was adopted on the surface of Ge fin sidewall in order to reduce the roughness and etching damages through the GeO desorption mechanism. The treatment effects were checked by AFM and C-V measurements. By combining this treatment with optimized microwave annealing, sub-threshold slope and the $\text{I}_{\mathrm{ ON}}/\text{I}_{\mathrm{ OFF}}$ ratio were remarkably improved in both n-finFET and p-finFET, and Ge CMOS inverters with high voltage gain of 50.3 V/V at low ${V}_{D}= 0.6$ V was realized. Finally, simulations on an ideal Ge CMOS inverter were presented.

The significance of the Risk of Ovarian Malignancy Algorithm (ROMA) in differentiating benign and malignant ovarian lesions has been evidenced. In our clinical work, we found that advanced ovarian cancer were accompanied commonly with high ROMA scores. Thus, this study aimed to clarify the performance of ROMA in different disease stage of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) prior to surgery. Carbohydrate antigen (CA125) and human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) levels and ROMA scores in 221 patients with FIGO stage I, II or III/IV stage EOC were analyzed. The positive rates of CA125, HE4 and ROMA at each disease stage were calculated. Their cutoff values, sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV) for distinguishing patients with FIGO stage I/II from those with FIGO stage III/IV were estimated via ROC curves. Serum CA125 and HE4 levels and ROMA scores rose significantly with advancing stage. ROMA and CA125 were significantly elevated more frequently in comparing with HE4 in EOC patients at with the same stage. Based on ROC curves, the cutoff values for FIGO stage III/IV EOC were 110 IU/mL, 126 pmol/L, 78 and 68% for CA125, HE4, premenopausal and postmenopausal ROMA, respectively. ROMA was the strongest predictor of FIGO stage, with the highest specificity, accuracy, and PPV, which were 84.4, 82.5, and 87.0% for postmenopausal patients, 89.3, 85.6, and 74.3% for premenopausal patients. Our data suggest high ROMA scores correlated with advanced ovarian cancer prior to surgery. These observations suggest potential utility of ROMA in the comprehensively preoperative evaluation of EOC patients.

For the first time, CMOS inverters and 6T-SRAM cells based on vertically stacked gate-all-around complementary FETs (CFETs) are experimentally demonstrated. Manufacturing difficulties of vertically stacked source and drain electrodes of the CFETs have been overcome by using junctionless transistors, thereby reducing the number of lithographic steps required. Furthermore, with post metallization treatments, both the voltage transfer characteristics (VTCs) of CMOS inverters and butterfly curves of SRAM show significant improvements due to the symmetry of nMOS and pMOS threshold voltages. Simulation shows that 3-dimensional CFET inverters have lower input parasitic capacitance than standard 2-dimensional CMOS, leading to reduced gate delay and lower power consumption.

$\Omega$ -gated negative capacitance (NC) FinFETs, CMOS inverters and SRAM are fabricated and analyzed. Forming gas annealing (FGA) is performed and found to not only enhance ferroelectricity (FE) but also the NCFET electrostatics, in terms of higher $\mathrm{I}_{\mathrm{ON}}$ , smaller hysteresis and subthreshold slop (SS). The SS is less than 60 mV/dec for both N-FinFET and P-FinFET in this work. Moreover, the CMOS inverter shows more symmetric and larger voltage gain after FGA.

目的 分析并探讨真性红细胞增多症（PV）和原发性血小板增多症（ET）患者发生再次血栓事件（再栓）的临床特点及危险因素。 方法 回顾性分析首都医科大学附属北京安贞医院2001年2月至2016年11月诊治的38例发生再栓事件的ET和PV患者的临床资料，采用Logistic回归分析再栓事件危险因素。 结果 共计104例首次血栓事件的ET和PV患者中，38例（36.5%）患者发生再栓，年发生率为9.8%/人，ET组、PV组再栓年发生率分别为12.3%/人、5.7%/人。再栓事件共56次，42.1%发生在首次血栓形成后1年内；动脉血栓症占97.4%（以急性冠脉综合征最为多见），静脉血栓症占2.6%。ET组再栓以急性冠脉综合征最多见（18例，64.3%），PV组以脑梗死最常见（7例，70.0%）。2次及以上再栓患者中，PV（9例，90.0%）明显多于ET（7例，25.0%）。再栓组初诊WBC>12.5×109/L（52.6%对31.8%，P=0.036）、红细胞比容（Hct）>45%（50.0%对30.0%，P=0.046）、既往血栓史（86.8%对13.6%，P

Exosomes are one kind of microvesicles secreted by living cells. It contains some small non-coding RNAs (microRNA, lncRNA, circRNA, etc.) which play an important role in signal transduction. In addition, they transfer information through circulating small vesicles, regulate epithelial-mesenchymal transition, tumor microenvironment, promote microangiogenesis, regulate tumor immunity, chemoradiation resistance, and regulate cellular energy metabolism pathways, thereby promoting the occurrence, development and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma.
