Percorsi di formazione e proposte di progettazione laboratoriale in prospettiva interdisciplinare

Much has been written about psychopathology of Holocaust survivors and the transmission of this terrible trauma to their offsping. The purpose of this article is to discuss this two points: 1) The complex, articulated and sometimes contradictory elements that emerge from the scientific and clinical literature, that is if all the Holocaust survivors are traumatized and to what extent. An examination of the literature seems to show two different Groups: the one of those “self-referred” who have actively asked for help or for psychological support or with clear mental illness, and the one of those who have not seeked help or manifested clear mental illness. The two different populations (“clinical” or “systematic selected by the empirical research”) can explain the different results of the evaluation of the effects of the trauma; 2) The developmental sequelae of Trauma across Generations. About this second point on the transmission of trauma, the proposal of the Authors relates to the integrative, multifactorial, point of view that includes psychodynamic, sociocultural, family system, biological and attachment perspectives, which explains that the trauma itself is not directly “passed on” to second and third generations, but mitigating or aggravating factors can modulate the sequelae of the transmission.

Objectives: In this work we tried to infer some important information in psychotherapeutic process from different measures. The primary aim was to obtain a better assessment of strengths and weaknesses of two patients during the first evaluation sessions and generally in psychotherapy. Methods: We used two main measures, the Adult Attachment Interview and the SWAP-200. The first assessed adult mental representations regarding relationships, while the latter assessed personality disorders and traits. We also measured reflective functioning through the Reflective Functioning scale applied on the AAI. As for the SWAP-200, the Personality Health Index and the RADIO were calculated. Results: We tried to explain in descriptive terms some unusual results from the measurements, comparing the data. Discordances in the different levels of reflective functioning of the two patients were explicated through the in-depth analysis of the SWAP indices, showing different ways to deal with personal and relational difficulties. Conclusions: Comparing two different patients that share similar scores in the assessment can be confusing. In order to better envision strengths and weaknesses of the patients it is sometimes necessary to go in depth of the different indices. However, some benefits of overweight in the elderly have been identified and an “obesity paradox” has been shown. Currently, it is still unknown how obesity and brain functioning could be linked, and the process by which body fat independently injures cognitive abilities and psychological well-being remains unclear. To establish the independent role of obesity on cognitive abilities and mental health, clarifying the role played by several factors and understanding their interaction is essential. In this review, we discuss the relationship between obesity and brain illness and underline the role played by confounders and other covariates to determine this link. Several studies underline a definite link between “working memory” (WM) and the learning process (deficit and learning disorder in children). WM abi-lities mainly affect written language learning and arithmetic learning. According to studies related to the Attachment Theory, it is possible to rationalize that child with a secure attachment to the caregiver and/or to the teacher have higher skills in school adaptability. In this study—based on previous pilot study (Del Villano, Ce-cere, Sapuppo, & Caviglia., 2011)—the relationship between: cognitive test (WM measurement test), learning test and the student’s attachment style (both with his caregivers and his teacher) have been empirically evaluated. This pilot study was performed in several of the primary schools in Campania Italy between 2009 and 2011. The selected sample was composed of 80 children 6-7 years old (38 Female and 42 Male) who, after parental and school consent, were tested by the tools de-scribed in the main body of this research paper. The pilot study shows an absence of linguistic deficit, and a relationship between cognitive abilities and the learning le-vel achieved in reading and mathematical calculation, furthermore it has shown a modulation effect of the attachment on the relationship between the WM ability and MT calculation and reading tests. This modulation effect is more evident if we consider the unsecure or disorganized attachment, especially if we consider the data accumulated with reference to the attachment to the teacher. Our research was conducted with the sole intention to widen the sample and make the outcomes more valid and reliable. The recruited sample was composed of 130 children age 6-7 who, after parenentalt and school consent, were tested with the TVL -Linguistic As-sessment Test , the short version of AWMA (Automated Working Memory As-sessment), the SAT-Separation Anxiety Test, both family and school versions, and the Reading Trials MT -AC-MT 6-11- Calculation Ability Assessment Test. The re-sults underline the absence of deficit or malfunctions in the subjects’ linguistic de-velopment, a significant connection between the learning performances and the verbal and visual-spatial trials assessed with the AWMA, and a moderating effect of the attachment style upon the connection itself.

uesto libro è una guida per quegli operatori che si trovano in scenari di catastrofi: un agile strumento per psicologi e altri professionisti che siano impegnati nella caotica e traumatica realtà di un contesto emergenziale. Essi sono chiamati, oggi, direttamente sul campo, dove hanno tempi di contatto ridotti con le vittime e dove è richiesta rapidità d’azione, mentre gli operatori sono sottoposti a elevati e concreti livelli di stress. Il testo li accompagna nei diversi tempi di un disastro: da quello ordinario a quello della riorganizzazione, dove si interviene con il Pronto Intervento Psicosociale, fino al tempo della ricostruzione, supportando un “ritorno alla normalità”. Vi si trovano schede tecniche, protocolli operativi e schemi d’intervento.

L’Alleanza Terapeutica è considerata, sia in ambito psicodinamico che cognitivo-comportamentale, un importante predittore dell’outcome della psicoterapia. L’attenzione sempre maggiore alla relazione tra terapeuta e paziente, intesa come processo continuamente in fieri, impone però una riflessione sulla capacità del terapeuta di identificare, affrontare e riparare le rotture dell’alleanza che, in tale ottica, si configurano come importanti fattori di cambiamento sui quali intervenire per modellare credenze patogene interpersonali (Semerari, 2000; Safran, Muran, 2000; Lingiardi, 2002; Farina, Liotti, 2011). Tuttavia, recenti studi (Martin et al., 2000; Kazdin & Nock, 2003; Elvins, Green, 2008) hanno rivolto la loro attenzione all’analisi delle problematiche riguardanti la concettualizzazione e la misurazione del costrutto stesso di Alleanza Terapeutica - e del suo rapporto con gli esiti della terapia - riscontrando molteplici lacune metodologiche (Dunn, Bentall, 2007). Il presente lavoro si propone di descrivere i principali strumenti, qualitativi e quantitativi, utilizzati per valutare l’Alleanza Terapeutica e di analizzare le recenti prospettive teoriche e metodologiche di applicazione clinica di tale costrutto.
