Data Analytic (DA) is currently a very important approach to obtain the best possible benefit of the data, but its degree of difficulty compared to other computational processes limits its implementation in organizations. In addition, it remains a term highly confused with respect to other areas of data science, such as data mining, and Big Data. There are few methodologies for its implementation, in addition, its complexity makes it non-participatory, with a certain degree of resistance on the part of the users. The knowledge and skills of users must be exploited when analyzing and producing the business intelligence necessary for the Data Analytic execution. In this position paper, we explore the possibilities of contribution through a Methodology for Data Analytic, which is extended with the incorporation of features extracted from a user-centered design (UCD) approach inspired by the ISEA methodology. This existing DA methodology, called MIDANO, will be extended using gamification techniques, to facilitate the applicability and understanding, in order to guarantee a participation of organizational actors, resulting in a Participatory Data Analytic Methodology. © 2020 IEEE.

Many tools help GUI designers to produce prototypes of their future applications, but when this job requires the collaboration with geographically dispersed partners some problems arise like lack awareness of the others' work, concurrent manipulation of virtual objects and non-fluent communication of actions and intentions. We Sketch allows a small geographically distributed group to build GUI prototypes in a highly participative manner, keeping everyone aware of what is going on. A 3D virtual round table, virtual sheets simulating sketches, avatars representing users, an audio communication system and a shared view of sketches are the pieces that allow designers to discuss and co-design GUIs in real time offering a comfortable and pleasant experience. This paper describes the tool and the results of a set of experiments conducted in order to validate the hypothesis: "WeSketch allows a small group of designers who are geographically dispersed to be more efficient and feel more motivated during the GUI Sketching task than they do with current tools". © 2011 IEEE.

Voice user interfaces (VUI) have arrived. Worldwide, this technology is in the lift and enabling the exchange of information through voice interactions. As a result of the growing popularity of this technology, companies fanatically started with the designing of their own skills and/or actions. But although, this over-enthusiasm, leaves the ‘why-question’ unanswered. This is the result of a technology push: the technology is leading, putting human needs in its shade What is actually the problem that a VUI is solving? And is this really better compared to existing solutions? How do we make sure the integration of voice technology simplifies and enriches our lives? How do we design voice interactions that matter? Human-centered voice design is the answer. Therefore, the central aim of this research is to enhance designers in the creation of meaningful voice interactions. The research has been divided into a theoretical background part and an exploratory research part, with methods including case studies, interviews and observations. The insights gathered through this research are boiled down into a condensed framework showing how designers could incorporate human-centered VUI design in their processes. The argument put forth in this research is that context factors and human-centered values determine to what extent a use case is meaningful, in relation to one’s job to be done. The proposed human-centered values are enlarging accessibility, enhancing convenience and/or enhancing experience. Building on this argument, a toolkit has been developed, turning the theory into a hands-on product to incorporate in every VUI design project. The toolkit includes a canvas to discover and validate human-centered VUI use cases and a card deck which both clarifies the canvas’ elements as well as triggers the designer’s VUI imagination with inspiring examples. The aim of this study is to do a picture book analysis of Viveca Sjögrens vi blåste bort ibland (2013), focusing on the tree, and to deepen the analysis assume an ecocritical perspective. The questions I asked were; how is the tree portrayed? What does the relationship between the characters and the tree look like - whether it is celebratory or problematizing towards nature and whether the characters express an anthropocentric or ecocentric towards the tree? Finally, what function does the tree have for the intrigue as a whole? To perform the picture book analysis, I primarily make use of Maria Nikolajeva’s Bilderbokens pusselbitar (2000) (The puzzle pieces of the picture book) and as a theoretical analysis tool I use the NatCul matrix developed by the research group NaChiLitCul. As a result, I find that the tree is central to the story and holds a centered position in the pictures. In the verbal text, the tree is shaped with anthropomorphic features, which is in contrast to the figure in the picture. Although there are elements of both a problematization of nature and an ecocentric approach, I nevertheless note that the characters' relationship to the tree aligns closer to the upper left part of the NatCul matrix – towards a celebration of nature and an anthropocentric horizon. The tree turns out to have several functions for the action as a whole; as an indicator time and as a signpost showing the way – but also the function of being just a tree in the material way of trees.

The purpose of this project is to provide a Christ-centered, biblical Great Commission model for Presbyterian Church pastors in South Korea. Pastor Hanhum Ok said that there are many programs and forms without the spiritual vitality in the Korean Church. Many attractional churches attract people by relying heavily on programs that often alter the focus of believers onto the programs themselves and prevent them from focusing on Jesus Christ. To ensure that the church—the body of Christ—remains faithful to its biblical mandates, thesis project argues that the pastors must have leadership principles and applications in accordance to the Christ-centered biblical great commission model. This author has conducted academic research and applied research through surveying thirty-two Korean pastors ministered over 10 years. This author will provide leadership principles and applications that will develop the Christ-centered biblical model to help Korean pastors stayed focused on the great commission.

Grain boundaries are the interfaces between differently oriented crystals of the same material. The underlying structures of grain boundary play a significant role in mechanical properties of polycrystalline materials. This influence becomes more significant when the grain size is reduced to ultrafine or nano size scale where the dislocation activities in the interior of grains lessen and mechanisms mediated by the grain boundary become dominant. This paper reviewed recent results in the atomistic simulation of the nanoscale behavior of grain boundary in face-centered cubic (fcc) metals. Three different simulation models were introduced to investigate the grain boundary behavior during plastic deformation, including three-dimensional (3D) nanocrystalline model, columnar nanocrystalline model and bicrystal model. The grain boundary was found to contribute to plastic deformation through the process of dislocation absorption, transmission or nucleation at boundary plane, as well as grain boundary accommodation mechanisms such as GB sliding and GB migration. These grain boundary mediated mechanisms were widely studied by the previous atomistic simulation works and were extensively reviewed here. Future challenges and directions in the computational study of grain boundary behaviors were also discussed.

As personal construct psychology is person-centered, child-centered personal construct psychotherapy sets out to have the child the central subject for any psychological enquiry. Child-centered personal construct psychotherapy is developed from the theoretical and practice-based assumptions of personal construct psychology and practiced through the medium of play therapy. Effective psychological change occurs when the child's self-theory is elaborated through the extension and definition of the core construct self-other, with the therapist's construing of the child becoming primary evidence of how the child understands self. Clinical material is provided to further illustrate our child-centered psychotherapeutic approach.

Nitrogen dioxide is used as a "radical scavenger" to probe the position of carbon-centered radicals within complex radical ions in the gas phase. As with analogous neutral radical reactions, this addition results in formation of an [M + NO2](+) adduct, but the structural identity of this species remains ambiguous. Specifically, the question remains: do such adducts have a nitro-(RNO2) or nitrosoxy-(RONO) moiety, or are both isomers present in the adduct population? In order to elucidate the products of such reactions, we have prepared and isolated three distonic phenyl radical cations and observed their reactions with nitrogen dioxide in the gas phase by ion-trap mass spectrometry. In each case, stabilized [M + NO2](+) adduct ions are observed and isolated. The structure of these adducts is probed by collision-induced dissociation and ultraviolet photodissociation action spectroscopy and a comparison made to the analogous spectra of authentic nitro-and nitrosoxy-benzenes. We demonstrate unequivocally that for the phenyl radical cations studied here, all stabilized [M + NO2](+) adducts are exclusively nitrobenzenes. Electronic structure calculations support these mass spectrometric observations and suggest that, under low-pressure conditions, the nitrosoxy-isomer is unlikely to be isolated from the reaction of an alkyl or aryl radical with NO2. The combined experimental and theoretical results lead to the prediction that stabilization of the nitrosoxy-isomer will only be possible for systems wherein the energy required for dissociation of the RO-NO bond (or other low energy fragmentation channels) rises close to, or above, the energy of the separated reactants.

The modern and continuously changing lifestyles in almost all parts of the world resulted in an increase in the incidence of chronic diseases (CDs). To reduce risks associated with chronic diseases, health professionals are studying various clinical solutions. As a result of recent advances in sensing technology, wireless communications, and distributed communication, the monitoring of patients' health condition and the elaboration of prevention plans are considered the most promising solutions for the treatment of chronic diseases. In this paper, we propose a novel framework for monitoring chronic diseases and tracking their vital signs. The framework relies on the service orientation concepts and standards to integrate various subsystems. Monitoring of subjects' health condition, using various sensors and wireless devices, aims to proactively detect any risk of chronic diseases. The system will allow generating and customizing preventive plans dynamically according to the subject's health profile and context while considering many impelling parameters. As a proof of concept of our monitoring and tracking schemes, we have considered a case study for which we have collected and analyzed preliminary data.

"Experiments and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations have been conducted to investigate the nanoindentation behaviours of iron with body centered cubic (BCC) structure. The experiments show that the indentation hardness decreases with the indentation depth and it changes sharply for a small depth. Two cases with different crystallographic orientations have been simulated. The indentation plane is (010) for Case I and (111) for Case II, respectively. The calculated harness (17.4 GPa for Case I and 22.6 GPa for Case II) are in reasonable agreement with the experimental value (24.2 GPa). The simulation results show that the crystallographic orientation significantly influences the indentation deformation. Case I and Case II exhibit different deformation patterns. The indentation force and the hardness in Case I are smaller than Case II. It is also found that the pileup around the indenter is mainly formed along [110] direction for both cases."
